The Aid [Nnaasttey x Vigilant Thorne]

It had been an especially challenging week the past 6 or 7 days for one Octavious Cross; world renown scientist and professor at Zale University, one of the most prestigious academic institutions in the world. Between faculty meetings, seminar attendances, lecture appearances, a strenuous class schedule, teaching 5 graduate level courses a week, clinical trails on experimental drugs, and writing his own papers, he still had to grade over 300 midterm papers over the next 2 days. However, tonight, he was taking a much needed break. Cross had just landed a huge grant to approve his clinical trails for a new drug that he was developing for a large pharmaceutical that was liable to make him a lot of money. He took is trusted aid, a first year Fellow, along with the rest of his 4 person staff out to dinner and drinks at Van Gran's, an expensive 5 star restaurant to celebrate.

They had spent the entire night having a good time. The drinks had been flowing all night, and the food was amazing, for Cross however, the company was even better. He really didn't love his staff, all female and all beautiful and intelligent. He was known around campus as a bit of a womanizer, and a misogynist, but he just preferred to work with woman rather than men.

The night was still young, but most of them had to leave, so Cross was left to finish the bottle of wine they had just opened, with only one other person, the youngest aid he'd ever hired, a 17 year old prodigy he was taking under his wing. She was not only gorgeous but smart, and ambitious, Cross had a thing for her, and the liquor was getting the best of him at the moment. He knew a place where they had private karaoke, until 6 am in the morning, it was like the ones he been to when over in Japan for 6 months, so he and his aid left the restaurant and headed there.
