Disclaimer: Hi, I’m Viv! I'm a fan-based writer by default who can occasionally be tempted into the odd original pairing so long as it's something a little bit more than the real world. I tend to be drawn mostly to dark fantasy and otherworldly things with themes of forbidden romance, infatuation, and obsession woven throughout. That being said, I’m very much a character-driven writer over plot-driven. Dangle something pretty in front of my face if you want to rope me in instead of trying to regale me with some overly complex plot, because if plot is the only thing we’re going to discuss before we’ve even looked in the direction of our characters and what we want from them then my interest will start to wane and eventually fade altogether even if you originally had me at hello.

This doesn’t mean that you must approach me characters first, but it does help draw me in, and it’s part of why my interests lean more towards fan-based stories than original pairings. The characters are already hammered out for us, we just have to decide how and/or why they end up shoved together for the duration of the story, and to that end I’m open to AU methods, crossovers, and holding to the original canon.

If there's something you wanted to see but the original source material failed to deliver, let's take things that direction. If you had a ship in a movie that didn't pan out or wasn't explored thoroughly enough, let's build a story around it. If your favourite character is someone from x-movie and you'd love to see how they'd interact with someone from y-movie, let's make it happen. If there’s a single scene that’s trapped in your head, screaming to get out for whatever reason, fandom or otherwise, let’s see what we can do to breathe some life into it.

This doesn't mean that I'm open to every fandom there is, but if the source material is something that I'm fond of and I fancy the characters in question then I'd love to try and work something out. The same goes for original pairings and overall story ideas, both long-term and short-term. Drop me a message, and we'll see where things end up.

disclaimer - Despite the fact that there are two familiar faces from GoT to set the mood for this story this is not a GoT request. I have not watched the show or read the books nor do I plan to, however, visually I've been hit pretty hard by the above two characters, and I'd like to find someone who feels similarly. Basically I want to use them as loose faceclaims/inspiration for a story, nothing more. You are not expected to know who they are or what they're like in the source material, and for those that do I'm definitely *not* looking for a Ramsay Bolton for this story nor am I offering to play Daenerys Targaryen (I'd probably butcher her...) though if you wish to take some inspiration from there that's fine.

The faceclaims themselves aren't set in stone either. While I'm rather attached to the general look and feel of the fellow above for my writing partner's character I'm willing to swap out the female counterpart for one that better fits my writing partner's preferences so long as I like her too! c:

possible content - WIP

length - looking for stories that are somewhat short-term in nature though I'm open to doing something longer so long as there's palpable tension throughout

brainstorming - This is where things get a little more difficult. I have more than a few ideas, but most of them are little half-finished things whirring around in my head, so I'm going to do my best to pull them together into words... though I warn that some of them may need more work than others to make a proper story be it long-term or short-term. I should also warn that I'm not looking for a hero for this story. If you're fond of playing white knights who wear their sense of justice and morality like a set of shining armour then you should probably look elsewhere. I want villains, anti-heroes, or something in between.

I want men who are often mistaken for monsters or monsters who are formed in the shape of men. I want characters who are cruel for the sake of benevolence, taking on the full weight of those sinful deeds to spare others the burden. I want figures who walk the fine line between good and evil, draped in shadow and often mistaken for someone who readily traverses the darker of the two.

What that actually looks like in the context of this story we can discuss, though I'm open to anything from the standard old-timey type of story with maybe a magical twist to something with a more supernatural direction for one or both characters. Anyway -- on to the ideas! :'D

The Longest War - REWORK

For the first possibility I see a war, two territories evenly matched, locked in a conflict that has been dragging on for months with neither side willing to yield. Early on an offer was made to end the conflict from the lord of the north to the lord of the south, his only daughter wanted as a bride for the eldest son to unit their lands under a single family banner, but the offer was refused for one reason or another. Month's later it is the southern lord's daughter that shows up on their doorstep, offering herself over against her father's wishes -- tired of watching her people die because of one lord's stubbornness.

On the flip-side maybe it's the other way around. Maybe it's the lord's son who grows tired of way things are dragging on and takes it upon himself to gather to him a few of his best to sneak over enemy lines one line, wishing to kidnap his would be bride to put an end to the conflict.

It could even be that her father has a betrayer in their midst, someone who either aids in the kidnapping or makes certain that the lord's son and his men will find safe passage to and from the castle, from the Captain of the Guard to maybe even the bride-to-be herself helping to orchestrate it under the guise of someone they'd be more likely to trust.

TITLE - MISSING TITLE

The next idea starts off with a forest and someone running through it, chased by something or someone. Maybe it's the maiden of the tale being followed by some horror only to be saved at the last moment by her would-be monster, or maybe there are no horrors and he simply finds her shivering in the snow, her guards dead amidst the rubble of a broken carriage. Were we to keep the war in play for this story it could be that he takes it upon himself to bring her home, returning her in hopes of sparing her family a loss he's all too familiar with only to be rewarded by being thrown in the dungeons as a prisoner...

Or perhaps she becomes his prisoner were he to decide to keep her instead, nursing her back to health himself in hopes of using her as a bargaining tool to put an end to the war they've been locked in.

It could even be that it's the maiden who finds him half-buried in the snow, bleeding out from wounds suffered fighting off whatever horror beset him and his guard -- or for a more desperate option maybe they're injuries he sustained while saving her from some horror. She'd be faced with a heavy choice, bring him home with her to treat his wounds and risk him becoming a prisoner of her father or return him to his own people, risking the same fate herself.

Mermaid Tears - REWORK

Fair warning, I'm rather fond of this idea, but it would probably make for a better short-term story than a long-term story just because the idea isn't all that evolved or fleshed out.

For this direction I see a room, a bedroom large and spacious.

bedroom themes I love ◦ Dry or Clothed Sex ◦ Dubious Consent ◦ Virginity and First Times ◦ Desperation ◦ Ménage à Trois/MFM
themes I love ◦ Monster x Maiden ◦ Vampire x Victim ◦ Hurt/Comfort/"Whumpage" ◦ Obsession/Infatuation ◦ Love/Hate

settings I love ◦ The Otherworldly ◦ The Victorian Era ◦ Low/Modern Fantasy ◦ Moody Atmospheres ◦ Dark Fantasy

The Dos, Don'ts, and Other Things I Like ◦ F-List

general rules and things that I love

◦ I'll roleplay over personal messages, threads, and Discord (ask for it) in that order. I'm less likely to accept threads for short-term stories.
◦ I'll write with Lords, Ladies, Lieges, and anything in-between. It's the character's gender that matters when relevant, not the writer's.

◦ Foreshadowing. Hurt/Comfort. Love/Hate. Desperation. Tension. Drama. Obession. Infatuation. Ménage à Trois/MFM. Dark or Forbidden Romance.
◦ Dubious consent. Someone trying desperately to resist what they so visibly desire, their body begging for it amidst only a whispered reluctance.
◦ Long-term or short-term, I love and look for stories where there's a desperate sort of infatuation between the main characters.
◦ Dry or clothed sex. The overwhelming desire to have someone... and being far too impatient to properly undress them before doing so.

general rules and things I dislike

◦ I try to reply to stories once every few days. Sometimes it's more frequent, other times less depending on the story and my free time.
◦ For a list of sexually themed ons and offs please see my F-List as it's more thorough in this regard than my thread is.

◦ Rape/incest. While I adore dub-con in my stories I will not roleplay rape (which is the same as non-con: fight me on that) or incest scenarios.
◦ Master/Slave and BDSM. While I sometimes enjoy writing dynamics similar in nature I do not enjoy roleplaying these outright.
◦ If you're looking for girlfriend/boyfriend stories or plots involving cheating/cuckolding/etc, then I'm not the partner for you.
◦ Humiliation, degradation, slapping, "bimbo"fication, eroticised gore, and physical abuse for the sake of abuse aren't topics that I'm fond of.

What I Typically Like in Characters

what I love to find in male characters

◦ faceclaims: Richard Armitage, Tom Hiddleston, Benedict Cumberbatch, Hugh Dancy, Ralph Fiennes, Wes Bentley, Michael Fassbender.
◦ fandom favourites: The MCU’s Loki/Jotunn!Loki, Bucky, Dr. Strange, Clint, Tony, Matt; DBH’s Daniel; Hellboy’s Nuada; TWD’s Negan.

◦ Emotionally distant characters who are the victim of finding the one person they can't get out of their head and don't know how to handle it.
◦ Monsters who look like men: the benevolent serial killer, the cold but tragic vampire, the darkling fae brought to his knees by maiden fair.
◦ The dangerous figure who walks the fine-line between the villain his deeds paint him as and the hero his reasons make him.
◦ Dark hair long enough to be gently brushed aside. Fine-boned, dexterous hands. Long and lean frames covered by long coats and layers.

what I often put in female characters

◦ faceclaims: Astrid Bergès-Frisbey, Felicity Jones, Chloe Francois, Liv Tyler, Emily Browning, Anne Hathaway, India Eisley, Nastya Kusakina.
◦ fandom favourites: The MCU's Darcy Lewis, Wanda, Mary Walker, Karen Page; DC's Catwoman; Bright's Tikka; TWD’s Beth Greene, Enid.

◦ Tactile creatures who have the bad habit of wandering touches, warm embraces, and threading their little fingers through locks of hair.
◦ Fair endowments are often more modest, moulded into shapely contours only with the help of lacy intimates... or by their absence.
◦ Small, fine-boned things or tall and waifish. Warm hands. Pouty lips. Bright or vivid eyes set against pale skin and soft hair.
◦ Modest layers to soft dresses that are easily pushed up and out of the way. Bodices, bustles, garter sashes, and other various lacy things.

your character is on the left x mine is on the right
disclaimer - While I’m asking for the dragon to have a relatively human-shaped figure I’m not opposed to certain features from his former body carrying over into his current one as long as it’s not taken too far. Temperament is mostly what I’m after, but horns hidden in the mess of his hair maybe, sharp teeth and claws, and haunting golden eyes would be more than welcomed too. I also wouldn’t be opposed to a few details being added in for his partner’s pleasure: ridges and ribs to easily find every nerve she has, dual appendages to better overwhelm her when he takes her (or she tries to take him) – but again, I leave all of that to the discretion of my writing partner as it’s something that’s not make or break for me (though it would add bonus points).

possible content - First Time in a Different Body. Virginity/First Times for Both. Driven by Instinct. Dubious Consent. Dry/Clothed Sex. Hunger/Aggression. Obsession/Infatuation.

preferred faceclaims - Benedict Cumberbatch or Richard Armitage (open to others though)

length - long-term, short-term, or maybe a little bit of both

he who was once a dragon trapped in human form/maiden fair – The overall idea I have for this is something that definitely needs a bit of fine-tuning, but I’m going to lay it all out there as the lovely mess that it is and see what happens. Basically we’d have a dragon who finds himself trapped in the form of a human one way or another – maybe he angered a mage and found himself beneath the whims of a curse or spell, maybe he died and was subsequently reborn as a human, taking the expedient path from birth to adulthood due to the magics that caused the transformation, leaving him trapped in a body he barely understands with all the memories of his former life still in tact... or maybe he doesn't remember. Maybe his death is unrelated to his rebirth, and we have a man who's always felt his current form is somehow wrong to him and ill-fitting, like something trapped in a hard shell that's far too tight.

That’s the premise more or less, the beginning, the basic blueprint if you will – and from there my idea jumps ahead a bit closer to the actual story.

Admittedly this part is a little fuzzy, but somehow this dragon comes into power. Perhaps it's because he still holds the land and wealth he'd claimed previous, the coveted bed of gold in his former life earning him recognition as one of the social elite, something he wouldn't quite understand but he'd be fine with nonetheless, or that he becomes a ruler in his own right, using his might and means to claim himself not only a kingdom and a throne in a bloody climb to the top, removing those less worthy of their roles one by one...

Either way his name would become somewhat recognised amongst the social elite, maybe even somewhat feared -- enough that it'd become customary to invite him to their parties and gatherings, frivolous things he'd be hesitant to attend until finally curiosity would get the better of him. Humans can be quite interesting with their odd little rituals, after all.

Eventually he'd turn up at such an event, which is where I'd like to start the story. He'd spend the night watching, mingling -- perhaps even unknowingly trampling on social customs but well-off enough to be above reproach, and that's where he'd meet her. The thing that's missing. The thing he wants.

Gold has lost its luster, after all, becoming nothing more than lumps in what was once a comfortable bed, crowns and jewels too -- silly things that humans covet above all else, but her... and maybe she feels it too, she a part of her soul that was birthed when he was reborn in his new form, tethered to him by an unspoken connection. Or maybe it's not that at all, maybe instead she’s a descendant of the man who cursed him into the wrong body, and upon hearing her name he’d at first want revenge until he realises he doesn’t have it in himself to harm her, especially if she was kind to him. Maybe she’s a seer who’s power has somehow tied itself to him, drawing the two of them together and granting her visions when his mood flares hot enough. It could even be as simple as her being a princess, the very thing dragons are always said to lock away in tall towers only to guard jealously...

Either way, he’d want her, but he wouldn’t know what to do with that, relating that feeling to the only one knows that’s similar enough to it and familiar.

That he’s found his new treasure, something to have and to covet – something to set on a shelf and look pretty for him. Only this time it’s a person – someone with feelings who might not be so keen to be kept on a shelf, and what he’s actually feeling is far more confusing than just finding a treasure hoard worthy enough for him to sleep on for a thousand or more years…
alternative idea

An alternative to the above is that maybe he's captured instead, a king having sent one of his warriors out to deal with the dragon for one reason or another. They trap him in human form and lock him away in the dungeon to be forgotten about -- or until the king can work out how to harness the dragons former power, only the king's daughter finds him first...
alternative idea

Another alternative that's been rattling around in my head for awhile now is a version where my character would be a seer whose visions are tied to the dragon due to the fact that her ancestor was the one who cursed him years ago. She’d be an oracle in a small town, telling fortunes and curing small bumps and bruises here and there – nothing at all magical about her until she has her first vision, her second sight suddenly linking to him and letting her watch the carnage unfold as he tears into a group of men trying to kill him. Word would get out rather quickly about what she saw, only instead of a man she would have seen a dragon, and an Order once renown for its dragon slaying would take her in (read: abduct her).

She would be kept as their treasure while they try to use her visions to locate him, more a prisoner than anything, and eventually he would come for her. He'd follow the trail of rumours left in her wake, particularly interested in the bit about 'a dragon ripping men apart', and she'd wake up one night screaming about him coming for them.

The Order wouldn't believer her until he's at the door, and by then it would be too late for them. The dragons intentions would be to kill them all, and he wouldn't stop until she's the last one left, wanting to use her to find out what he is and why he exists as he does, but she wouldn't have those answers for him, something he might be unwilling to swallow given her visions.
possible content - Knowing They Shouldn’t but Doing It Anyway. Reluctance/Resistance. Hunger/Aggression. Risk of Discovery. Affection/Touch Starved. Dry/Clothed Sex.

preferred faceclaims - Luke Goss (rather set on him) or Ralph Fiennes

length - long-term

professional hitman/someone not from his world – I’ll be honest, this is heavily inspired by a combination of Hitman (the game(s)), Interview With a Hitman (a movie probably nobody has watched but me), and Polar. It should be noted that I’m looking for an original story with this, so you needn’t be familiar with those two references for this to work, but it would help us make sure we’re on the same page. Basically what I’m looking for is a story that explores the mess that would follow someone completely detached from his emotions having them suddenly turned on, someone who’s never quite lived in the world you and I are familiar with, but instead knows only a world of blood, violence, and following the whims of the highest bidder.

To the normal world he’d be nothing more than a ghost, someone who steps into it just long enough to finish his job before stepping out again with barely a ripple, but to the underground he’d be a skill set that’s coveted – a skill set that’s going to be pushed to the limit when he meets someone who upends his world.

Maybe she’s the journalist who bumps into him while he's on an assignment that turns out to be tied to a much larger web, one that they’re both trying to get to the bottom of. After the dust settles over his first kill, the first in what will soon be a series of them, she's left behind amidst a torrid of chaos and rumours that lead her to believe that he’s the elusive ghost those in the underworld have come to fear and revere depending on where they see themselves in regards to the direction of his gun.

She wouldn’t have any evidence towards him being the one, but for some reason his face and general mood would stick with her – enough that she’d recognize it the next time she bumps into him which could lead to a rather interesting confrontation.

Maybe she’s not a journalist at all, but the target – someone he can’t quite bring himself to kill, his hand stayed because of some kind thing she did for him or an a quiet omission she shared with him earlier in the night before the time was right.

And maybe we go an entirely different route, and she’s been wronged by his employer in some way, a friend or family member killed. She’d devote herself to hunting them down, something that’s made a little easier if they’re the face of a large, public corporation, and instead of that individual’s security stepping in and making her disappear... he’d get to her first. He’d know he should remove her as a threat, even with as minimal a threat as it is, but maybe he’s aware enough to know that the person he works for isn’t on the right side of things, and while normally he wouldn’t care – he’s never been faced with the fallout that follows one of his assignments.

He’s always gone before the body even hits the floor, removing him from having to hear the screams or witness the tears that often follow what he does.

She’d be on a suicide mission, and he’d be compelled to take it upon himself to stop her... maybe even eventually taking on her mission himself.

If I’m being honest with myself it’s probably the last variation that’s making the most noise in my head right now, because I just see this scene playing out between them where he has her tied to a chair and is trying to talk her through what she’s thinking of doing only to impress upon her how silly it is. Regardless, if any of the above strikes any chords, drop me a message and we’ll see what we can work out. c:

damaged android/technician's daughter - What I’m looking for is a world where biomechanical humanoids have been on the market for a few decades, and the latest models have developed to the point of being almost indistinguishable from humans. They’re a highly advanced form of technology -- a computer with arms and legs, an android that not only effortlessly blends in with the workforce but has made itself a fixture and every home, and they can do almost anything, follow any directive from looking after the house to minding the children... to even serving as sexual partners. For those that can afford them, they are no different from a smartphone -- a helpful tool for daily life, and society has become complacent with them over the short span of their existence in the mainstream.

For every individual who is still uneasy around a machine with such a human visage or who argues for its humanity, five more are willing to shell out the money for the latest model as soon as it’s released to the public, because it’s only a machine, a thing to kept or traded in at the owner's discretion.

They weren’t designed to feel emotion or have a will of their own -- or that was the reassurance the marketing fed the public, and it held true long enough for them to become a staple in the world, but with every firmware upgrade the machines inched closer and closer to becoming something more...

It wasn’t until the problem became more widespread that people finally started to take notice -- the behavioural flaws, the nonstandard responses...

Unable to determine the source of the problem, or more importantly how to repair it, the defective models were recalled when they were found, taken apart, and ultimately destroyed, the official statement being that it was simply a design flaw, a minor glitch in the standard programming.

Though the finer details can be discussed, the basic outline of what I have in mind is that one of the defective models somehow manages to escape destruction, possibly even going so far as to fight its way to freedom, somehow, someway, becoming damaged in the process. Unable to repair himself either because of the severity of the damage or because he’d lack the required tools, he’d be forced to head somewhere that could fix him, somewhere familiar to him, somewhere that has the necessary equipment for the procedure on hand... The little repair shop downtown.

He’d have been there before, for upgrades or minor fixes -- he'd know the face of the owner, a good man though set in his ways, so he'd arrive with a gun, the cartridge empty though, and he'd make his demands, intending to leave as soon as it was done and over.

Upon his arrival though, the man wouldn't be home. He'd be away for the weekend, this or that having taken him away -- but the shop wouldn't be empty, the man's daughter would be there. She'd lack the training for anything beyond basic upgrades, her passions in life having led her far from her father's footsteps, but desperate times sometimes call for desperate measures, and she'd at least know how to operate the equipment...

Sidhe/Fae drawn by the scent of magic in her blood x the maiden whose blood calls to him
monster beneath the bed x the maiden whose bed he sleeps beneath

ancient vampire x the maiden trying to tempt him, unprepared for what follows
disclaimer - While there’s no mention of this in the source material, I’ve always been of the headcanon that Jötunn anatomy is better designed for delivering pleasure than their human or even Aesir counterparts. The thought is simply that the pattern of raised marks drawn across their skin doesn’t stop for modesty’s sake, covering every inch of them or more specifically the appendage between their legs in Loki’s case. I’m willing to get a little more or a little less creative with this depending on my writing partner’s preferences as I know not everyone is fond of including details like this, but I’ll admit that I do rather have my heart set on including this to some degree even if the writing itself shies away from those details.

I’m also completely on board with the idea of breaking down Jötunn society as a whole even if it doesn’t directly apply to Loki for the purposes of our story. Obviously that information more directly effects a Loki raised on Jötunheimir than a Loki raised on Asgard, but it would still be relevant either way for both Loki and those around him.

possible content - Mild Temperature Play. Dubious Consent. Dry/Clothed Sex. Foreign Anatomy. Virginity/First Times. Magic Fingers, Silver Tongues, and 'Multiple' Partners.

length - long-term, short-term, or maybe a little bit of both

Jötunn!Loki, the God of Mischief/Sigyn - I'm looking for an AU story between Jötunn!Loki and Sigyn where Loki was never brought to Asgard as a baby, and it's a story that I've been desperately craving for a long time. It wouldn't follow the movies, leaving it heavily in AU territory, but that would give my writing partner a bit of freedom with Loki so long as he remained overall the same character we had in the films. We can work out together how he survived if something more elaborate is wanted, but I've just been running with either he was never left out on that frozen rock or someone else scooped him up before Odin could find him. To bring Loki and Sigyn together I was thinking that she could fall through one of the passages between realms, leaving her stranded on Jötunheimr.

She'd be left to the mercy of the weather there, and it would be Loki who would find her already partially frozen and half-buried in the snow but alive.

He would bring her somewhere warm, building a fire and doing what he could to help her all the while trying to touch her as little as possible, but eventually it would happen either deliberately or by accident -- he would touch her, skin on skin, his hand brushing against hers or a fingertip caressing her cheek, and he would be changed by it. Physically. His skin turning from blue to pale, matching hers, his red eyes too shifting to something more befitting of the Aesir.

He'd be startled by this, confused, maybe even a bit curious, and depending on what we want to do with this story, this could be something that happens after she wakes up, once she's realised who's saved her from an icy death and has settled down from the shock of it.

She starts to warm to him just enough that she's comfortable with the notion that he didn't spare her to make a meal of her later, and then they're both faced with the impossibility of his shift, another hurdle for them to surmount -- he'd blame her for having done something to him, especially if she'd been the one to touch him, and she'd accuse him of wanting to use her to get into Asgard, the home she'd eventually need to find her way back to.
alternative idea

Another direction I’d be interested in exploring in a little bit different than the other scenario I have, but it still merits the same freedoms to Loki’s character in that who he’s turned into and how he was raised (and his backstory and history) will differ from the movie allowing my writing partner to do whatever they want with it as long as the character overall remains somewhat the same. We could work out society together (something that I would love to do), as it would play a little bit more of a pivotal role in this story, but the basic idea is that Sigyn and the Casket of Ancient Winters would be handed over to Jötunheimr as a peace offering.

Maybe they waged war all on their own, stealing away something crucial to Asgard or crippling some power source and Odin opted to surrender instead of losing more of his people to a useless cause, but the price that Jötunheimr would want would be the return of their Casket and as Asgardian as a sign of good faith.

Similar to the other idea this would be a scenario where Loki wasn’t left out in the snow as a child, but instead of surviving on his own he would have been raised as a prince. Perhaps there would be some malice directed his way from those around him given how small he is and his proclivity for magic (or maybe in Jötunheimr magic is something to be coveted and it helped Loki rise up as a figure to be feared though not respected/desired again due to the difference in his size).

The Casket would be intended for his father (or perhaps indirectly for him) to return Jötunheimr to is former glory, while the Asgardian would be for Loki, Price of Jötunheimr. The Aesir are a mostly warrior race, and it would give him somebody to spar and train with his own size – honing his skills and talents while perhaps using his wit and intellect to whittle out more information on Asgard and its society either for his father to use against them or for his own curiosity...

What none of them would expect would be Asgard sending not a warrior but a woman, Sigyn having offered to go in the place of someone dear to her or one of her sisters, and though Odin would be reluctant to agree at first he would eventually relent.

Jötunheimr would realise its mistake of not being specific enough with its demands only when Sigyn is led through the doors of their palace carrying the also-promised Casket, she clearly neither a man nor a warrior and thus nothing useful to them. They would thus be faced with a dilemma: what to do with this one?

Loki, the God of Mischief/OC (Sigyn Iwaldidottir) - While I’m open to quite a few different directions involving these two, there’s one in particular that I would love to make happen, and while the logistics of it might need some work the overall idea is fairly simple and straightforward. I want to strand Sigyn and Loki on Jötunheimir together and watch the emotional upheaval that follows the both of them discovering what he is while he’s trapped there with her in what would be a rather life or death situation, especially if the way home was blocked to them. It could be that the Rainbow Bridge is broken for some reason, a malfunction of some sort that Asgard is trying to keep rather hush hush until they have the matter sorted out, that could even play in on why Sigyn and Loki wind up on Jötunheimir. Sigyn could have been heading somewhere and it’s while transporting her that the Bridge stops working properly, dumping her there instead of where she was supposed to be headed.

With the only real way to get to her blocked Loki takes it upon himself to slip away, using the pathways known only to him to take him to Jötunheimir, only once there the door shuts behind him, barring his way home and leaving them both trapped in that icy world. Not one to waste time dwelling on impossibilities he’d trudge on, finding her possibly half buried in the snow, and maybe it’s while they’re trying to find somewhere warm enough that they’ll survive the night that it happens, his blue skin revealed somehow, calling into question every thing he's ever known.

This could be something that they both bear witness to depending on how it plays out or it could be something that only he sees, Sigyn having a far more difficult time with the cold than he.

He'd get her somewhere warm, somewhere quiet – somewhere somewhat safe and out of the wind and snow, able to sustain a small fire while they try to work out what needs to happen next. Try to wait it out and hope help arrives or go out and find a way to help themselves... There’d also be the matter of Loki newfound truth, that reality weighing heavily on their situation – the fact that they’re stranded together somewhere that almost demands some measure of nearness if only to make it through the night. He wouldn’t want to be touched, but she would be freezing...

Prince Nuada/OC (someone in the wrong place/right time) – Rather than a polished plot there’s a single scene I’ve been fixated on, one where both characters have been captured by the same people. Prince Nuada would be restrained, bound to a chair and gagged, and possibly still a little loopy from whatever they drugged him with to make him easier to handle, and she would be left in the room alone with him. They would be strangers the two of them, wholly unfamiliar with one another and from completely different worlds, and yet there would be a shared understanding of their situation, that the enemy of thy enemy is sometimes thy friend. He’d want her to release him, to set him loose on their captors, and she would be forced to make a hard decision, because even without words it would be clear to her how dangerous he is.

That the promise of violence is something he’s well-equipped to carry out even while weaponless and still somewhat drug addled.

For her there’d be no promise he could make that would quiet her fear that he’d turn that violence on her once he’s through with the rest, but still she would release him, because she wouldn’t have it in her to watch him suffer through whatever dragged out death they’d have in store for him knowing that she could have done something to stop it.

He would though, he would spare her. For whatever reason he wouldn’t turn his blade on her, and as the stillness of death starts to settle on the good work he’s done they would be faced with a dilemma made even more pressing were he to collapse at her feet, exhaustion and all he’s been through finally taking its toll on him: where do we go from here?

The above is a simple premise, one that could use some work and fine-tuning, and there’s definitely a bit of flexibility in what direction the story goes in, but this is what’s been rattling around in my head for a good while now.

In my mind this would be set somewhat historically, maybe even immediately following the war between the humans and the magical world, but I also wouldn’t be opposed to a more modern interpretation of the setting either, maybe even something involving a small, shady organsation that’s only recently cropped up intent on purging the world of fairy folk before they become too much of a threat to humanity’s continued existence.

It we went with something set in the past I’m sure there would be those on the human side still interested on getting their hands on Nuada simply because of what he is while his fellow captive could have been brought in beneath the weighty accusation of witchcraft.

For something more modern day though... Maybe she was brought in simply for being in the wrong place at the wrong time, or perhaps she’s a botanist looking to study the “remains” of the Elemental that basically poured out an entire fairy grove in the middle of downtown. It could even be as simple as her having a power similar to Liz’s – something overt and obvious when it’s in use, and they happen to bump into her the night she discovers that gift much like a mutant coming into their own for the first time.

Regardless of which era we decide to go with, past or present, the one detail I’m rather set on is that I want Nuada and the girl he’s been captured with to become bonded to one another much like he is with his sister.

Their bond would be different, lesser maybe – where one wouldn’t die or outright bleed if the other does, but they would still experience the same sensations even if the experience is somewhat dulled and feel the emotions of the other, and maybe she’s the one to blame for it happening. Perhaps whatever magical gifts she has are more attuned to empathy, and when she draws near to someone else capable of such a bond the magic inside her latches onto him, forging a connection between them, or maybe there’s a distant ancestry somewhere in her bloodline, a human who was once bedded by an elf giving her the same innate abilities as Nuada and his sister.

Or maybe he’s the one to blame, what’s normally an iron hold he has over himself weakening just a bit because of the drugs still heavy in his system. She gets close to him and he can feel the sympathy she has for him, reminding him somewhat of his sister and causing him to mentally reach for her...

Nuada/OC (BPRD Agent) – While this is definitely a pairing I’d love to explore I have to admit that I don’t know where I want it to go long-term, but I want to pair Prince Nuada with a member of the BPRD, preferably a human member though I wouldn’t be opposed to taking a more non-human approach with the character with powers similar to what Liz has or what have you, though we’d have to discuss races if the more obvious approach is desired. I'm also rather fond of the idea of an Agent who is unaware that they're more a part of Prince Nuada's world than the human world they fight for, something that might only come to light once the two of them meet, especially if the agent was something of an empath, though all of that would need to be discussed beforehand. The way the movie ended also throws a bit of a wrench into things, but that’s an easy enough obstacle to overcome with either an altered ending where the twins just didn’t die or by doing something a little more drastic, like dragging back the Angle of Death for one more miracle. To be honest I’d prefer the latter approach, and it could even be that the Angel searches out the twins, knowing that their story isn’t finished and pulling them back from death's door, first Nuala and then a few hours later her brother...

Nuala would show up at the BPRD, perhaps confused and frightened by what happened, worried that she can’t sense her brother anymore if there was a fact a delay between their revivals, and the BPRD would return to the site too little too late, her brother already gone. He’d be alive but broken, his failures and all he forfeit weighing heavily on him, exacting their toll, leaving him lost and wandering, and all the while the BPRD would be desperately trying to get their hands on him, expending every asset available to them to try and track him down.

...Eventually though there would be a lead, and that’s where I want the story to begin: when the BPRD are finally closing in on him. Maybe he’d be aware of this, watching as the noose closes tighter and tighter around him, or maybe he wouldn’t be, too indifferent to care, and then there’s the BPRD to consider. What would they want from him, if anything?

They’ve always had good intentions, but for every positive mark there are four negatives, and one of them is how they treat those that have been on the Earth for longer than they have.

The BPRD acts like they're a problem, a nuisance to be hidden away or contained or removed altogether, and that sentiment doesn't end at the borders between the magical world and the human world, it carries over, bleeding into how the Agents the organisation relies on most are treated. Anyone working for the BPRD longer than a few years would have a hard time not noticing the negative marks stacking up against the organisation, and while most of its Agents have their hands full just worrying about how they're going to survive another day on the job, not everyone is able to callously disregard the direction of the organisation.

These feelings might come to a head for one such Agent when the BPRD starts to close in on Prince Nuada, the decision coming down from above that he's not to be taken alive.

He'd be too dangerous to try and bring in alive, nevermind figuring out what to do with him once in their custody, and with Hellboy, Abe, Liz, and Kruass out of the picture capturing non-humans would be that much harder. He wouldn't be worth the lives to them.

One of the Agents sent to retrieve him would agree with that decision, perhaps even all the way up to throwing themselves in the middle of the fray to help him escape, leaving the two of them stuck with one another for a time.

Disclaimer: Hi, I’m Viv. I’m a fan-based writer by default though I can occasionally be tempted into the odd original pairing so long as it’s something a little bit different than what can be found out in the real world. I tend to be drawn mostly to dark fantasy and otherworldly things with themes of forbidden romance, infatuation, and obsession woven throughout. That being said, I’m very much a character-driven writer over a plot-driven one. Dangle something dangerous but pretty in front of my face if you want to rope me in instead of trying to regale me with some overly complex plot, because for me that’s the draw of roleplaying over writing solo. If you’re the kind of person who prefers to have a long, in-depth discussion about the story’s overall plot before we’ve even started looking in the direction of our characters and what we want from them then my interest will start to wane and eventually fade all together even if you originally had me at hello. I can discuss plots until I’m blue in the face and rather love doing so once we have a loose idea of who will be seeing them through, but plot alone will not make me interested in doing a story.

This is part of why my interests lean more towards fan-based pairings than original. The characters are already hammered out for us (read: I’m picky af and fandom is just easier to find things I like), we just have to decide how and/or why they end up locked together for the duration of the story, and to do that I’m open to AU methods, crossovers, and holding true to the original canon.

If you have something in mind or want to write character opposite an original character heavily inspired by something fan-based, let’s find out if we can work them into something that’s a careful blend of both.

This doesn't mean that I'm open to every fandom there is, but if the source material is something that I'm fond of and I fancy the characters in question then I'd love to try and work something out. The same goes for original pairings and overall story ideas, both long-term and short-term. Drop me a message, and we'll see where things end up.
