A Little About Me
I've been doing the forum roleplaying thing for about four years now. I can't claim to always provide big, complex, multi-paragraph responses, though I'm more than capable and willing to do so--it depends on the context and how much you give me to work with. What I can promise is to always commit to literacy. I expect it from a partner, so it's only fair that I make it a priority for myself. I can nearly always make the time to post at least once in a day, often more, though that will drop if I'm trying to write a novel. I roleplay exclusively through threads and PMs, no email or IM. Finally, I hereby promise, hand on heart, that I will respond to every request sent my way, even if only with polite refusal. So please, if you have an idea or any sort of interest, don't hesitate to ask. Though maybe I'm vastly overestimating how much response this thread will get, and it won't even be an issue. I guess we'll see.
What I'm Looking For, In General
As I see it now, the running theme of this thread will be "porn with feelings". I'm here to write smut (if I want to roleplay without it, I go elsewhere), but I like that smut to be in the context of a loving, caring relationship between characters with believable flaws and complexities--in short, characters who could be real people. Even if those characters also happen to live in a fantasy world where dragons made of rock candy fly around shooting lightning out of their eyebrows.
That doesn't necessarily mean I'll always want grand love stories, but I do want two characters having sex to at least respect one another. Non-con is right out for me, as is any setup where one or both characters see the other as nothing more than meat.
On the other side of that coin, plot beyond the porn is definitely on the table, if it's a plot I can get behind. I'm a huge fantasy and sci-fi nerd, and I can appreciate stories set in the modern world. However, I'll probably want to spend at least half my time writing smut, regardless of where the plot goes. Most of that is because of the glacial pace of forum roleplaying, where even short scenes often take multiple days in my experience, so it feels like a long time before getting back to the sex. I have needs, after all
My Expectations
Like I mentioned above, I need my partner to be literate. It's absolutely essential for me. Obviously, we all make mistakes, and typos happen, but try not to let it become a consistent pattern.
I'd appreciate it if my partner could respond once per day, every other day at the very least.
Finally, I need a partner who's willing to communicate if they have a problem. I'd much rather at least try to work out any issues that come up than see a roleplay just die. If you do want to end things, it'd be nice if you'd let me know, so I'm not left hanging.
Oh, and more of an anti-expectation: I don't care what gender you are in real life, as long as you can write a female character. Speaking of which, OOC chatter is fine by me, but if you'd rather just roleplay, that's also a-okay.

- Romance. Pretty much covered this above, but yeah, I love being one half of a loving couple who genuinely want to make each other happy.
- Gentle dom/sub. I can go either way. I especially love the flavor where the one in charge is praising their partner for their performance.
- Voyeurism and exhibitionism. Whether it's in public or with a big audience, or just one partner showing off for the other.
- Muscular women. Not hugely built, but cut and athletic-looking is beautiful. Don't feel like your character has to be this, though, it's just one thing I think is nice.
- Sexual openness. I love the idea of our characters being so comfortable with one another that they have nothing to hide. Watching porn together, talking about sex freely, stuff like that.

Our characters are both huge nerds cosplaying at a convention, and by happy coincidence, each is dressed as a character whom the other has a huge crush on. They fall in with a group of fellow young fans, and someone starts up a rousing game of spin the bottle, truth or dare, or something in that vein. As a result, our two end up having to get to know each other a lot more quickly, and intimately, than they might have expected, and things between them progress from there.
Our characters don't necessarily have to be cosplaying from the same fandom, but they can be if you want, and I think it'd be adorable if they did. Some of my favorites are Homestuck (don't judge me, we're not all terrible people), Dragon Age, Attack on Titan, Persona, and Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. I also know a fair bit about Final Fantasy, VII more than any of the others. If you don't care for any of those, I'm happy to do some cursory research to fit a role that works for you.

Basically, I want to play out expanded versions of some of their scenes in the game, as well as original ones that fit in between. I was thinking a good place to start might be on July 7th, at the part where they're being influenced by the Lovers Shadow, showing the effects that influence has on them and how they overcome it. For this, I'd actually be fine with less smut and more plot, so we can explore how their relationship develops more fully. Of course, copious angst is a must in the later parts, once Nyx is revealed.
To be clear, I don't necessarily characterize my version of Minato exactly how he's done in some of the non-game material, where I understand he's shown as nihilistic and aloof. My interpretation of him is best described as intense, shifting between extremes of cheer and despondence. Most of the time, he's a perfectly friendly, fun-loving sort, if a little shy and withdrawn. On the other hand, the impending threat of Nyx will give his significant failings and vulnerabilities a chance to show. Also, he is not the protagonist of a harem run. Yukari is his one and only.
