A strong breeze pulled the chilly air and the sparse snow that was falling over the tip of the small hill. A lone figure knelt beside a young sapling. In its hand a small ring of pale pink daisies trembles from its fingertips. Gruffly clearing its throat the figure wraps the band of flowers around a thin branch carefully making sure it stays linked around it. Pushing up from the ground the figure straps a long sword to its hip and disappears out of view. The snow drifting to cover its tracks, settling into place as the young sapling shivers in the cold.

Bits of bark flake to the ground as a sharp blade dug into the tender flesh of the trunk. A set of initials carved clear for all to see. Haxus stood back and viewed his handiwork. He couldn't believe this was seriously the dare the guys gave him. What was so special about it anyways. Flipping the blade closed against his thigh he pocketed it and brushed away some loose bark surrounding his design. Out of the corner of his eye he catches something pink wrapped around a lower branch. Stepping closer he narrows his eyes. So much for being the only one to ever approach the queens tree. Obviously he wasn't struck down by a curse or anything. Growling under his breath he stomps away leaving behind his mark and the pink outline of a ring of daisies. Drops of sap oozing out like tears from his cuts.

In a close by meadow a sterling white horse cried out in pain. A thin ribbon of red starts sliding down the bridge of her nose. Kelsa almost dropped from the stabbing pain. Shaking her head she sent droplets of red to sprinkle over blades of grass. Something had happened to the great oak. The blood oozing out from her forehead where her magic would have gathered warning her of the desecration. Her races horn having long ago stopped growing as their magic dwindled. Forcing the change she winced as the cut began to heal. When the shimmering light covering her body began to dissipate, her naked body became enveloped in a silken dress. Panting with the effort she bends over resting her hands on her knees until her head stopped spinning. She needed to get back to her herd. She couldn't be the only one to feel the disturbance. Rubbing th heel of her hand across her forehead she smeared the slowly drying blood that had remained from her cut. She had to make her way to the rest as quick as she could.
