Lily began to cook when he left. She first prepared a roast rubbing it with butter garlic and fresh herbs. then she set it to roast over the fire. Next she peeled potatoes and cut them into pieces and mixed them with some carrots celery and onions and roasted them together. She cleaned up her mess as she waited for the food to finish. She had the whole kitchen smelling heavenly.
 
Max could smell all the lovely aromas wafting through the house from the kitchen, she was a marvel in there as he began to think about their wedding night and her deflowering. It would be an honor for him to do it he mused as he stepped closer to the kitchen still softly whistling.
 
Lily was humming to herself as she moved around the kitchen. She had finished cleaning up her messed and now was working on getting the plates ready. First she got a bottle of wine pouring them each a glass. then she put some bread on the plates followed by some vegetables. After that she craved the roast and plated that as well.
 
Max sighed on the inside as he entered, his eyes taking in the food and her still moving about the kitchen as he casually walked across to the table. Sitting down he spoke. "Lily looks and smells great."
 
Lily jumped a little when she heard his voice. She stopped her humming and turned to look at him "oh max I didn't even see you come into the room." She smiled and brought to him his plate. then she kissed him on the cheek and went to get her own.
 
Max heard her words, returning the soft sweet but short kiss to her lips before watching her leave momentarily. Licking his lips he took several bites before speaking. "Lily delicious as always, just like you."
 
Lily returned with her plate sitting down across from him. "and see you were going to have Marie cook for you" Lily teased him a little. "i always enjoy cooking for you"
 
Lily stopped eating when she felt his hand squeeze her thigh. Her mind flashed to thoughts of having his hands all over her soon on their wedding night.
 
Lily sighed softly, she took a few more bites before just pushing the food around on her plate. She was thinking about their wedding now, and their lives together once they were husband and wife.
 
Max heard the sigh and watched her push the food around on her plate, his own thoughts were there but he wanted to try to stay calm for the big day. Reaching for his tea he took a few more sips to finish it off before speaking. "Lily would you like to go into town on your own tomorrow love."
 
It had just entered early evening on the night before the wedding and Max had vacated his room leaving Lily and the bridesmaids upstairs so he did not disturb them. Settling himself in he was about to close his eyes when he heard the light knock at the back door, approaching and opening it he spent only minutes talking to the guard before walking back to the couch and falling asleep.
 
Lily spendt the night with the bridesmaids, but most of the night she just thought about max. She couldn't wait till tomorrow, when they could finally be together. That night she had a tough time falling a sleep. Partly because she was excited and then partly because she missed Max.
 
Max woke early the next morning to the sound of the birds chirping and as he took his tea into the back garden he noticed the thin layer of morning dew all over his wondrous crops.
 
Lily a rose the next more before any of the bridesmaids. she moved to the window looking over the world. she couldn't believe today was finally her wedding day. She smile to herself wishing time would move faster today but she knew until she was married it would feel like the time would drag on today.
 
Max sipped his tea as he strode around the garden, stopping to speak to several of his knights before re entering the house. Making his way to his study there he stayed until the minister arrived, it was almost time he mused.
 
As soon as her bridesmaids awoke the began fussing over lily. making sure her hair and make up was done and that she looked her best. then put on her dress telling her how beautiful she was once she was dressed. all to soon she was ready to walk down the isle
 
Max, three of his best knights and the minister moved to where the ceremony would be taking place leaving one knight to escort her. He fidgeted only slightly as he waited, taking a few deep breaths to try to settle down the nerves.
