The halls were still, air unmoving throughout the House of Viterra. Silence lingered, the last sound that had been heard being a single broom swept across the polished wood floors. Servants and guards lined the hall, not daring to say even a word. Everyone felt on edge, today being the night a high class family of much wealth would be visiting the estate. In the current society, power was gained through shaky alliances and hand picked marriages. All knew this, they were all aware of the young man coming to meet and impress the Viterra household heiress. But none were more on edge then Sapphire herself, pacing the floors of her living chambers in nervous anticipation.

Unknown to most who was employed under her family’s name, this was not the first meeting between the two potential lovers. For they had once been friends, they had been since her birth. It had been eight years since Sapphire had seen him, her first love. She had fond memories of those days, no worries outside of frolicking in her parents rose garden. From the first moment Sapphire had laid eyes on him she fell into her own form of love, quickly becoming devoted to her knight in shining armor.

Yet, he never saw her as the beautiful and fair maiden he had to save. No, he saw her as the kid sister that one could tease and pick on. As the two grew, he began to have interest in other women, girls more around his age. Not that she could blame him, their age difference of six years being a large roadblock back then.

Only, she wasn’t the same small chested, freckle faced child anymore. Back when he lacked to notice her in the way she craved, Sapphire was a short young female, a little chubby around the edges. Her scarlet hair had been in two fizzy braids, hung over her plump shoulders while her face held a geeky innocence. Freckles and sunburn covered her skin, tarnishing the complexion. But those days were over.

The young heir of the Kushina household sat in a stuffed, ruby red chair, eyes focused on the large oak door in front of her line of vision. For the life of her she couldn’t stay still, affection still nudging at the back of her gut. She had always wondered how he had been over the years, assuming that the male had just married by now. But instead, recent news hit her, the man a bachelor in his youth. When her mother had died, the friendship between the two died off as well. His parents had taken him away one day, never turning back.

Her long, blood red scarlet hair was kept in a single french braid this evening, reaching right below her mid thigh. A small silver chain was laced through the silky strands, them now wrapped into perfection. Bangs hung from her forehead, them outlining a heart shaped face with high cheekbones. Her body was that the shape of an hourglass, a slender figure complimented by her generous sized breasts and tight behind. Previous freckles were now melted into her skin, only small spots remain evident on her smooth, milky white skin. The female stood with an elegance, proper form that made heads turn, both male and female. Yet, her appearance was the only elegant thing about her at the moment. Dressed in a pair of black jeans that hugged her waist, a long white blouse hung over her jeans, reaching her knees. A golden locket hung from her neck, it being the only accessory she bothered with. No make up covered her face, it being as plain as the day she was born. The moon’s light was reflected through the window, her whole figure seeming to glow along with the night sky.
