SAMOK (EveningSky & G23)

"Pfft!" Samantha cut a piece of the delectable cake, shoving it in Ezra's mouth "That was the day you hated me, so don't lie" The blonde rolled her eyes at her boyfriend "I touched him that day and he was sooo pissed it wasn't even funny." She spoke, giving Tiffany the entire story about their encounter in the library, for the second time.

Tiffany chuckled, shaking her head at Ezra "I'm sorry I even asked" the red head shrugged her shoulders "Maybe he got a boner" Samantha's jaw dropped in utter astonishment. Her face reddened and embarrassment set in. How could her best friend say something so revealing in front of Ezra?

"You have no shame" Samantha muttered

"Neither do you little miss Beckett"

Samantha glared at Tiffany, gently kicking the girl with her feet.

Tiffany burst into laughter as she reached their previous conversation. How excited her blonde friend had.been when she spoke.of her sexual encounters. "I'm sorry" Tiffany laughed "I didn't mean to put you on the spot like that Ezra. But it was just too good, I couldn't help.it"

"Actually I was pissed. But that was the first day i had proof you weren't the spoiled little white girl princess everyone had always said you were."

He watched the back and forth between friends without a bit of concern, though his eyebrow did arch as they insulted and attacked each other. He chuckled at the byplay then spoke again. "No i did not pop a boner. I wasn't attracted to her until after Colin was out of the picture."

He didn't and never would tell her but while he had not known what she had been dealing with regarding drugs, he had known soon after that moment in the library that there was something dark and very dangerous in Samantha, and he had avoided her as more than friends until the problem had been solved.

"Spoiled little white girl princess" she thought. Was that really how everyone saw her? The thought of it made her think less of herself, even though she knew Ezra's stance on the subject. Her eyes fell toward the plate in her lap, a sudden loss of appetite creeping in.

Tiffany and Ezra comfortably in silenced, that until a car pulled into the Beckett estate, it's loud horn beeping twice. "ugh, that's my ride" Tiffany stood

"Here, give me your plate I'll return it to the kitchen" Samantha muttered. Then watched her best friend run across the lawn to the driveway. Staring the Mr Samuel's car pulling out of the second gate.

"I'm going back to school" Samantha whispered "Finishing up and graduating in Wilmington" she sighed "Then there's college..." a sad smile played at the edge of her rosy pink lips. Without being told Samantha understood what was expected of her. What she was too study, where she was going to live and her job.

"Oh" She glanced at Ezra "The debutante ball is in two weeks and starting from tomorrow I've got really silly events to attend." She shrugged a shoulder "You know the garden parties, fundraisers ect"

He waited until Tiffany was out of sight, checked the house and the area around, then took her hand, keeping their bodies hiding the link. "Yes I know about all these things. Despite the issues lately, your mother has invited my mother to attend most of them. She wants me to go as well. Should I?"

He studied her eyes. He would bend to her will, not wanting to make her uncomfortable.

"And one other thing. The spoil white princess was just assumed. Mostly by people who have problems with your uncle, or your Dad. No one has problems with your mom, or you now."

"So would it be alright if I came to the events or would that be too much? Apparently I'm the big thing in town and everyone wants to meet and see me. Kinda annoying actually. Especially since only one person's gaze matters to me." He wriggled his eyebrows playfully and suggestively, then whispered. "By the way, you look amazing. As always."

"She invited your mother...I wasn't aware..." The young blonde really had no idea what her mother was planning for her first and only coming out ball. A tradition that the young women from upstanding families in Wilmington partook in at the age if seventeen. It was where Marcia Beckett first met Thomas Willowfoot, who had been escorting his cousin.

A light breeze blew over the estate, the trees above swaying in rhythm. Samantha closed her eyes, listening to the rustling leaves and allowing the wind to wash over her face. Calming and soothing the ache to make out with her handsome boyfriend on the bench. Her brown eyes fluttered open, taking in Ezra's face for the millionth time. "You can come if you'd like, I'm not telling you no" She poked his thigh "As long as you can handle seeing me with another guy" Samantha was not aware of who her escort would be, but she was certain that there would be another guy who would spend a lot.of time with her in the upcoming two weeks. Ezra Did not strike her as the jealous possessive type, so she saw no issue.

He shrugged. "I won't like it but I can endure it. But whoever he is he isn't good enough for you. I ain't either."

He squeezed her hand, restraining his own intense desire to grab her and kiss her like a wild man right then and there.

"Then i shall attend. Make my mother happy. And you can finally see me in a suit." He knew for a fact he looked damn good in a suit, and could not wait to see what she would be wearing. Her glory would be undeniable.

His eyes flicked up and with a sigh he released her hand as the door opened and her mother came out to speak to them about something. He had to force his eyes to stay on Marcia rather than down at his gorgeous girlfriend, ensuring she would not see more than two schoolmates talking.

Marcia Beckett strode graver over the driveway and onto the grass, a warm smile on her flawless face. The kind of face that did not normally belong to a mother of three in her early forties.

"Your dad has good taste in women" Samantha muttered with a mischievous grin.

"What's the smile about?" Marcia asked narrowing her eyes at the young version of herself.

Samantha shook her head "Nothing"

Marcia eyed both teenagers with doubt "I hope Samantha isn't influencing you to do anything suspicious like she did when you were kids Ezra" She shot a grin in the boy's direction "My words still stand, if she's harrassing you let me know. The naughty corner is still there..."

"Mum..." She groaned

Marcia waved her daughter's protest away. Her memories of the young Indian boy being bossed around my a little blonde head clear as ever. Now they were no longer children. Ezra was becoming part of his family's motorcycle club, an old and long standing tradition among the Willowfoot men- and he was quickly becoming a man.

"Where did Tiffany go?"

"Mr Samuel came "

"Oh... I wanted to send some food and cake with her. There's a lot left, I guess you'll get double the amount Ezra" she smiled "And I came to ask a big favour of you..." Marcia closed her eyes for a moment "Now...I know this isn't your thing...but would you care to volunteer for escorting a beautiful young lady for two weeks, up until her debutante ball?"

Samantha's eyes widen in surprise

"The committee had a meeting two days ago and we've decided to open our doors to all girl's in Wilmington, those who'd like to attend that is. The tradition has been the old families for years now but they're so many new ones. We'd like to include everyone this year, that means more escorts for the girl's. I asked your mother and she was not certain of you're response so thought I'd ask..."

"Hes busy mum...There's so many other guys too." Samantha spoke, somehow trying to answer for Ezra.

"Actually i am not busy Mrs. Beckett. I would be happy to escort the beautiful young lady in question."

He smiled warmly then his eyes flicked to Samantha. "If it's alright with her. I would never presume to force my presence on any lady."

He studied his girlfriend for a long moment, then looked over at her mother. "I am very grateful for the invitation in any event. My mother will be ecstatic. I need to get some new suits though. Any suggestions on colors?"

He looked toward his girlfriend. "Or any preferences?"

Marcia tilted her head to the side "I'm sure she won't have a problem with it. Most girl would love to have you as their escort anyway...." She took a moment to study the looks Ezra sent her daughter's way and his questions before it finally dawned on her.

"You'll have to talk with the girl" Marcia glanced at her daughter who seemed to glare in Ezra's direction.. "It may be difficult bonding at first since she just moved to Wilmington a week ago."

Samantha smirked feeling a bit embarrassed for her boyfriend who assumed his escort the would be her. "Serves him right" she thought, removing herself from the bench "I'll go pack up the things for Ezra while you guys talk" she smiled, flashing a quick wink In her boyfriend's direction.

"I think you two will do well together" Marcia took Samantha's seat "he name's Maggie, she's half Navajo half white."

Samantha silently laughed as she made her way to the house, glancing back at her ecstatic mother talking her boyfriend's ear off about his lady and escort duties. The blonde laughed and smiled like it had been all fun and games. Never expecting the emotions of jealousy to affect her. Not knowing that the two weeks would be torture as the natural emotions of a girlfriend plagued her inner being. Samantha Beckett was in for an emotional wake up call where Ezra Willowfoot was concerned.

He blinked when he realized what was intended, but let it pass, nodding at Marcia's words.

He got the girl's name, age, and address, then genuinely couldn't be bothered to ask more. His eyes burned as he followed Samantha with them, doubting she would be so pleased when he was forced to walk with some other girl over and over at every event.

Still he had given his word.

"I still need advice on where to get my suits and what colors I should get. Not really my thing you know Mrs. Beckett."

He had his own plan now. he was going to take his father and grandfather with him. Thomas would of course escort Fauna, and Red would bring his own bride. Let Henry suck that up his nose.

"I usually get Sean's and my little ones suits tailored. A man who lived in my neighborhood when I was a child. He does them just for me in the comfort of his home, but he's a little far now. Living just outside Wilmington." Marcia studied the impressive figure of Ezra Willowfoot, a boy of just seventeen years. "There won't be anything in the stores too fit you" she smiled patting his arms sweetly "Say what...I'll give Me Murray a call and tell him I sent you." Her eyes traveled towards the house "Call me when you want to go, if I'm not available Sammy will take you." Marcia stood dusting off her dress "Let's go in.."

When Marcia entered the kitchen she headed straight to the deck, tsking at the Beckett men who were still engaged in deep conversation.

Samantha glanced out into the hall, catching a glimpse of Ezra. "Does your family like stuffed lamb?" She asked wrapping two medium sized sticks of garlic bread into white parchment. Laying them into the straw basket, a neat parcel of Sunday for Ezra to take home to the Willowfoot's.

"So Maggie huh?" Samantha busied herself with cutting slices of meat from the roast duck. "I haven't seen her but I'll meet her tomorrow.at school.By the way you almost gave yourself away assuming it was me"she turned, glaring at her hunky boyfriend.

Ezra nodded listening carefully, then followed her inside. "I am free anytime this week. But the evenings are better for me with practice and everything."

He moved over to Samantha and smirked at her words and glare. "If your mother hasn't realized that I'm attracted to you she is insane or stupid. And we both know she is neither."

He studied the woman in question for a long moment. "But I won't pretend I'm not disappointed. Maggie is a sweet girl, yes I've met her. But she 's no you Sam."

He turned as Marcia handed him the goody basket and smiled. "So is that my cue to leave?" he wasn't sure if there was something else he needed to do, and wanted to be sure to give Marcia and her home the proper respect. And of course he was hoping for an excuse to kiss his gorgeous and beautiful girlfriend."

Samantha chuckled giving him a small smile "MAybe not but I think you should" She tilted here had in the direction of the deck "My uncle Henry can probably only reason main civil for so long" She took the basket from him and made her way outside, leaving all the adults at table.

"I'll see you at school" Samantha made no attempt to smile. The feeling of returning to the halls of Wilmington high school was one she preferred not to think about. "Pray for me" she joked.

He checked the surroundings, and sensing it was too close to kiss her, he took the basket's handle and lead her to a large cluster of willow trees, hiding them from all sides.

"I do pray for you. All the time." He gently kissed her. "You be careful. Especially around Henry. Miss you already."

He kissed her again, then drew the basket from her hand and stepped back. "Tiffany and I are always here for you babe." He went to his bike and threw a leg over it as he covered the basket and tied it off then pulled out his cut sliding it on. He smiled and winked at her, then started it up, revving it so it roared as he wiped his cheek, hiding his face as he mouthed, "You are so beautiful Samantha." at her.

He gripped the handlebars, revved again, released the brake and spun around to face the gate. His arms flexed powerfully and he grinned winking at her again, ready to take off, but needing one last look at the beautiful blonde that was his girlfriend.

Samantha licked her lips after stepped back, still tasting and feeling him on her. " I know y'all do...that's why you are my besties" Samantha reached up, pecking his lips one more before he moved on to his bike. The way he handled the bike made her smile proudly.

Proud of the fact that she snagged herself the most unattainable boy in all of Wilmington- and said boy was deeply and madly in love with her.

"You're ridiculous" she laughed, turning on her heels, making her way to the front door. Samantha waved at him one last time, Chase and Brandon opening the door behind her, bother eager to s ee Ezra take off on his bike.

He smiled at his girlfriend, revved it again until the roar was so loud it was deafening, then he launched it into gear and took off through the gate, turning at a near impossible angle and vanishing into the city.

He roared through town, a delighted smile on his face until he reached home. He restrained himself somewhat as he delivered the food to his mother, then collected his sisters. They had asked to be taken to the treehouse for some reason. Ezra was more than happy to take them, even the baby. While the elder two and the cousins played, he helped the baby walk in a small pit in the center, specifically made for babies and toddlers so they couldn't climb out and fall.

"Welcome back Samantha" Those were the words that she heard over and over again. Greeted with warm smiles and kind words, and sneered at when she was not looking. Many.blamed her for Colin's absence, their star basketball player and golden boy. Samantha Beckett was no longer the golden boy. Some hated the seemingly perfect blonde more than ever, but never showed or hinted at it in her presence.

She sighed, placing her books for the new term into her locker "First Arkansas now this" she mumbled checking the timetable she had been given at the administrative desk.

"I know...she's not all that" A girl snickered.

Samantha glanced behind, catching a glimpse of the girl's back as she and her friend walked away. She turned back toward her locker, hiding her saddened face from the crowd of students. No one paying much mind, not realising that Samantha Beckett had been trying to hold back her tears.

"Come on Samantha" she thought wiping her eyes with the hem of her shirt. "Get through these months then graduate" she whispered.

"Stuckup bitch. i-"

The voice had not been trying to mask itself but it suddenly cut off in a gagging whimper. Ezra growled softly. "I think we have a higher standard here in Wilmington."

He stepped forward and released the hold on the asshole's arm. The rest of the basketball team, followed by the other school teams, including the cheerleaders, filled the room. They all smiled at Samantha, then began to set welcome back presents on the desk before her. Ezra glared around but said nothing, while Tiffany moved over and sat with her friend.

The teams growled. "Hey morons. Maybe you've not heard but this year we're undefeated. When exactly did Colin get that done?"

Ezra's eyes glinted playfully as he watched his girlfriend. Tiffany whispered. "Before you get mad neither of us did this. The girls were pissed that people were talking shit about you."

Ezra nudged some of her presents, which included flowers, snack baskets, jerseys signed by the teams, game balls, and the like, then chuckled as the two cheerleading captains came up to Samantha, hugged her, then smiled. "Thank you Sam. We were all glad to see Colin go."

A voice was heard putting the foul and ill mannered students to rest. It was a voice Samantha Beckett knew all too well. A smile broke onto the young girl's face, the saviour's voice belonged to the one and only Ezra Willowfoot, her boyfriend. The sad blonde gathered herself and found solace in her boyfriend's words of defense. To the bystanders Ezra's actions may not have meant anything, but the two young lovers knew the true meaning.

Samantha gathered her necessary books and gently closed her locker. Her brown eyes meeting a deep blue beautiful ones. Thankfulness showed in her eyes but not on her face.

"You've got your own hero" Tiffany quipped stepping up beside her best friend. She had just arrived in time to hear the girl call Samantha a Bitch but swallow her words in the same breath.

Samantha smiled "Isn't that his job?"

"Well...I guess so. Considering he's seen you....ya know" She said the last part quietly.

"Or maybe he's just a nice person" Samantha said even quieter. The walls had ears and the last thing she wanted was rumours about them swirling around the halls of Wilmington high. Samantha and Ezra were popular by birth, both fortunate enough to be born into an old bloodline belonging to Wilmington. Modern day Princess and Prince, realistic Romeo and Juliet.

Unlike the dreary start too Samantha Beckett's day things had gotten better once the young blonde entered advanced calculus. The class she had not been looking forward too but the surprise of the cheerleader and basketball team, sending welcome back gifts and hugs her way. Samantha's face could not contain it's joy. Her was overflowing and so was her heart. Tears welled in the chocolate brown hues as she glanced at Ezra. She smiled, letting the saltiness spill over. Quickly hands dabbed at her wet cheeks, Tiffany at her side.

"Before you get angry, it wasn't us"

"I didn't think so" Samantha chuckled "You guys aren't that intimidating"

Tiffany laughed but quickly hushed as Mrs O'Connor entered the room. "Welcome back Miss Beckett" she smiled placing her books on the desk "I'll give you a minute to clear those things away before we start" Samantha nodded and moved all her presents to the large empty desk at the back of her the classroom, and so class commenced, as did the rest of the day.

The school bell rung, loud and long. Such a familiar sound brought joy to many as it signaled the end of school. Students poured out of classrooms and into the hallway. Loud chattering and footsteps filled the once quiet and serene place, everyone relaxing their tense shoulders and heavy minds.

Samantha Beckett maneuvered through the crowd, making her way to her locker. Needing to gather books for homework and the things she had been given. "Dammit" Her eyes took in the many gifts that filled her locker and she thought of the bicycle sitting out front. Trying to figure out a way to carry them all. They could not all fit in her pink backpack, nor could she put them in her little lattice basket attached to the front. Nevertheless - she tried.

"Come on" Samantha whispered bending over her bookbag near her white bicycle.

Ezra spotted her outside and laughed.

He walked up to her, checked the area carefully then spoke softly as he took the bag from her. "Sam I love you but you are silly sometimes."

He shifted the bag a bit and carefully adjusted things until they seemed to fall into place, and were much more balanced and more easily contained. He then handed the bag back to her smiling. "I pack bags even smaller with more all the time. I would offer you a ride but I figured you'd just say no."

His eyes glowed playfully but also with the passion only she ignited. "I would so love to kiss you right now." His voice was pitched low and his lips barely moved, and no one was within hearing distance.

"By the way those were happy tears right?" He so clearly wanted to take her in his arms, but he restrained himself. For her.

"Don't call me silly" she teased watching closely at the way Ezra managed to pack all her things in one bag with the ease. Students gazed at them curiously but none the wiser. As Ezra and Samantha speaking in school was not a rare sighting. Many were accustomed to the two getting along well, something that occupied often after the hurricane tore through Wilmington.

Samantha Beckett took her bag with a small smile "Thanks" she hooked it onto her back gracefully. "I won't even ask why you pack smaller bags with bigger things all the time" Club business, she thought. Samok was soon to be Ezra's home, the official cut would soon hang off of his muscular frame. The club logo etched into the dark skin on his back.

"Of course they were tears of joy....and don't tell me.." She pointed a finger at him "I know I'm a big baby"

"Anyway..." She pursed her lips shifting under his heated gaze "No kisses, even thought id prefer to thank you like that." Samantha hopped onto her bike after a few seconds "I'll be seeing you soon anyway....since you agreed to escort." She donned her helmet, fastening the clips beneath "my mum wants me to take you too my dad's tailor, he's in San Topa" Samantha agreed to take Ezra knowing they'd have alone time. "You can kiss me then" she teased kicking her bike stand up "Bye boyfriend" the young girl whispered as she peddled away, glancing back at the Indian boy "Race ya"

He smirked. "Because i have a motorcycle my dear. One has to pack a lot into smaller bags."

His eyes grew bright and wild. "When are we going to San Topa?"

He cocked his head. "You want to race me? On that little thing?" He walked over to his own bike, settled onto it, started it up setting it roaring, then winked at her as he rolled over to her side. "So, girlfriend..where do we race to?"

Samantha peddled faster, quite skilled at the bicycle "My house is before yours, so whoever reaches that first" she took off with deliberate speed, shooting out onto the road and crossing over to Paramore avenue, the street that led right onto the main road which connected to farm freeway. A little name that the town's folk had.for the road that merged all estate and farms, the biggest of them all the Willowfoot's. Even though the Beckett's did not farm produce or animals for commerical use, the land they lived upon had been considered part of the farming region of Wilmington and Sean Beckett paid the land tax like all others.

Samantha made her way onto the main road, slowing her pace as she cut across the busy streets. Many smiling and waving in her direction, happy to see the familiar sight again, the blonde riding home after school.

Soon Samantha had the freeway in sight and she could hear the rumble of Ezra's engine. "Slow poke" she shouted, knowing all too well that her puny little bike was no match for the roaring engine of Ezra's chopper....no matter how fast she peddled.

Ezra smirked watching her peddle. He kept the engine rumbling until she was about to go out of sight, then planted his foot, popped the bike into gear, cut three rapid doughnuts, then with a scream of rubber took off after her.

Instead of cutting through town proper, he slashed through alleys, then with an thundering roar that exploded out of the alley, he tore up the road coming right up beside her. He grinned, then circled her twice. He then pulled up beside her and chuckled. "Hey gorgeous. Need a ride?"

They came to a stop sign, and as they stopped he reached over, grabbed the bike with one hand and lifted her up and brought her closer. He set her down chuckling. "I got news for ya babe. You need a real bike." He revved his engine playfully, his eyes dancing bright and happily. He gestured around at the commercial district they were now in, meaning they were effectively alone. "So...how about we race from here? or do you want to give in?"

He doubted she would pick the latter. "You know there is a private little glen nearby. We could go over...spend some time..." he grinned even wider, letting his eyes flick over her exquisite body, but they yanked back to her eyes, unable to resist them. "Looking beautiful as ever Sam."

The blonde girl's eyes widened as her boyfriend rode up beside her in his black and silver chopper. His chuckling and circling of her like a predator scoping its prey. "Stop circling me like I'm the enemy" she laughed. Samantha stopped her bicycle at the sign, a loud shriek escaping her perfect pink lips. Being plucked from her spot and dropped closer to Ezra not what she had been expecting, especially so easily. Is he on steroids, she thought narrowing her plain brown eyes.

When Ezra gave her the options Samantha scoffed, giving up was never going to happen. Even if the Willlowfoot had all the eggs in his basket, she enjoyed the excitement. These were the kind of things that girls did with their boyfriend's. Just like a walk in the park, kiss on the beach and night under the moonlight. All of which she would never experience...not with him. There was little they could do, and Samantha would be damned if she made no memories with him. In the years when crazy wild memories would be fondly remembered when she grew old and frail. Oh the stories she could tell....of the bad boy biker and the bubbly blonde. Everyone needed something to look back on, a moment in time when they were simply living on edge, enjoying everything life had to offer.

Those thoughts emcouraged the young girl to nod her head, agreeing to spend time with Ezra at the little private glen. She smiled "You're so cheesy for some seventeen year old" Samantha peddled away, heading down the street. Listening to the lovely sounds of the engine behind, the sound that once scared her...now a sounds that made her heart raced.
