At twenty three years old, Alison felt like she should have been much farther in life that she currently was. Sure, she'd manage to graduate from school, but her degree wasn't getting her anywhere. Sure, she'd been in the same relationship since she was seventeen, but now she was pulling her beat up Honda Civic up in to the parking lot of her brother's apartment building with tears welling in the corners of her eyes. She put the red vehicle in to park and grabbed her bag from the back seat, flinging it over her shoulder.

She had to walk around the building to reach the front door, where she immediately dialed the buzz code to Dane's apartment. They'd been close all of their life and that hadn't faded as they had grown in to adults. She relied on him so much, and she was praying that he would be home right now and not at work. With Nick having just left her life... Well, Ali needed the comfort of her brother.

"Come on Dane, lemme in..." Ali ran one hand through her long brown hair as she waited for him to answer.

Dane was watching some Robot Chicken, trying to enjoy some laughs after a tough day at work. Though he didn't get much chuckles this time around. It wasn't long ago his twin sister, Ali, graduated from school, meaning that they would be farther apart than before. He never liked that. It was embarrassing to admit but he had very close feelings for his sister. Even when he was dating, all he could think of was being close to Ali all the time. Even though that felt childish, the kind of closeness Dane wanted was almost of a...perverted nature.

But Dane respected Ali's decision to be apart, feeling that their parents would be too suspicious. Even when they were kids, it was rare to see the two apart. Their parents didn't like it, so they tried to have them be independent...and so they were, even though Dane didn't like it. But he tries to live a normal life, keeping himself busy with work as a advertisement specialist.

He figured today was just a regular day..until he heard the door buzzing. Dane walked up to the door, not sure who would be here. There was no one he was expecting today. He opened the door and couldn't believe his eyes. His sister right in front of him...and in tears. "Ali?...It's you!...W..What's wrong?" Dane said with concern, seeing the tears in her eyes.
