Gabriel sat under the light of the moon, grinning childishly. Tonight was a good night. Not in the normal sense of the phrase. In Victorian England the snow on the ground was fairly dangerous to some of the poorer families, who would end up dying before the winter was over. It was especially cold. But for him, it was beautiful. Even though he wore only a thin pair of pants and a white dress shirt that looked almost wore through, and not a pair of shoes nor socks, he seems fairly comfortable as he pushed through the snows that covered the streets. The few people that walked the streets stared at him like he was a freak, which he probably was if they knew the truth. But he didn't have time to deal with them. He needed to find a meal.

It was getting harder and harder to find someone to eat. As he walked past a large window and spotted his own reflection he understood why. His dark black hair was long and unkempt, hanging to his shoulders and obscuring his eyes, which were a red that almost matched blood. Under his eyes were large dark circles and his face was pale as stone. There was something wrong with him and it was obvious.

He was scary looking and his prey often ran. But tonight he was too hungry to play games. Whoever she found who looked appetizing he would simply scoop up and take away to be his next meal. Then a pretty young girl walked by behind him and he saw her reflection in the glass. She looked delicious...
