James was proud of his new motor yacht. I t wasn't exactly new but a classic 36 ft Chris Craft was nothing to be ashamed of, and it was a beauty. It was a beautiful day on the Grand River, and the off-shore breeze meant the lake would be smooth as glass. It had taken him a few years to get used to being on his own, but now that he was acclimated , he had become a confirmed bachelor and could flirt with the best of them . As he sat back in the captain's chair and surveyed the parade of femininity that made its way up and down the wharf, his eyes were drawn to a cute honey blonde in a melon colored tank top and white shorts. She wasn't flashy, but she was certainly stretching the top in all the right ways and figure made a near perfect hourglass silhouette. She had a fresh, wholesome, subtly sexy look that he just couldn't resist. He wondered that she was alone . To the best that he remembered she was on the arm of a handsome young man 30 years his junior over the weekend. But then that was his loss . As she passed by the boat, he gave a low whistle and gave her a thumbs up and an approving smile. It was the sort of thing that got him slapped when he was younger, but somehow was usually responded to with a smile these days. Maybe it was the silver beard and salt and pepper hair.

When the woman passed by a second time and chanced to look his direction, he called out to her. Hey there beautiful? How about a boat ride . Its dead calm on the big lake. Care for a glass of wine? The smile on her face gave him hope, he only worried she was laughing at him. He knew that under ordinary circumstances he was to old for such a beautiful girl. To him she was young enough to be a girl, none the less a very beautiful one. He longed to have her in his arms though it had only been minutes since she first arrived today.
