Gaius had been a friend of the family for years, he'd been invited round for birthdays, Christmases, New Years and every event under the sun. He was basically family to the Delane's and they treated him as such, never inquiring why he was round at any given time of the day or night, simply accepting him as part of the furniture. He was a tall young man, some 6"1, with classically strong, handsome features, though he often wore glasses. His dark brown hair shone with some kind of perfection that seemed more in keeping with a shampoo advert than real life. He was a courteous, kind and well respected man, never one to forget his manners or charm.

One day in late autumn, Gaius appeared at the house as was customary to watch a film with David, the Delane boy of about his own age who had introduced him to the family some fifteen years previously, they were long standing friends without an inch of friction between them. He simply walked in the back door without knocking, complementing Ms Delane on her cooking before jumping over the back of the sofa to land beside David "What we watching today?" he asked, a little out of breath from his jog up the hill.

David jumped a little, lost in his own world as Gaius appeared. "I thought we could watch Kill Bill!" David exclaimed before they could her a small tut of disapproval from the kitchen. David and Gaius both rolled their eyes as he switched over to Netflix and booted the film up.

It was simply another lazy afternoon afterall...

Shortly after the one door was shut another one was opened somewhere in the house, and a moment later the younger of the Delane siblings came down the stairs. Said girl was dressed in an oversized sweater and thin tights, as if she was still partially in denial about the cold weather that was raging outside, seeking to wear at least one light piece of clothing that subtly complimented her feminine body. She peeked into the living room, her long chestnut hair in a high pony tail and her eyes curiously turning towards the big screen. It took her a while to notice there was someone on the couch, but when she did she made sure to pause and clear her throat, suddenly collecting herself as she realized her brother had company. It was a familiar face, but she always seemed surprised to see it, mainly because it more often than not would appear in their home without a warning. "Oh, hi Gaius. How rare to see you two cuddling up in the couch." She fired off a sweet smile before her mother, who was one of the few people who had never used her nickname, called out to her from the kitchen. "Ashley, honey! Are you sure Philip isn't staying over for dinner?"

"Not today, Ms. Delane." The voice that answered her was that of a young man, accompanied by a smile as Philip appeared behind Ashley, already wearing his jacket. "Gotta head home early." He was of her age, barely a head taller than her, but he seemed to grow with pride whenever he stood next to her. He did not quite match what one would expect a girl like her to be dating, but whether it was luck or equal measures of confidence and self-consciousness that had brought them together in the first place remained a mystery.

The two left the doorstep as quickly as they had appeared, Ashley mouthing a "be right back" to her brother and Philip expressing his apologies to the mother as they did. A brief conversation could be heard from the hallway as the couple bid each other adieu, and after the door was shut the girl re-appeared, quickly making her way around the couch in order not to disturb the older boys more than necessary. She stood behind them now, leaning over the backrest of the couch and keeping her voice low. "Another movie mom disapproves of, Dave?" she asked teasingly, giving her brother a gentle nudge. She tended to avoid speaking to Gaius unless he opened up for it even though she wanted to, a form of respect that had come naturally as he had adapted a more proper way of carrying himself as the years went by. It felt as if the age gap had increased as a consequence of that, leaving Ashley feeling small in his presence even though she lived wall to wall with an equally as old boy. Perhaps it was all in her head, but it seemed as if he was the most relaxed when he was with David, or at least most likely to initiate a conversation with her. Either that, or she was still but a child in his eyes, making him treat her accordingly - while occasionally acknowledging her by flashing her one of those charming smiles.

Gaius' head didn't move from the screen until Ashley whispered in their ears, causing him to jump a little, though he said nothing until Philip had left. He was too engrossed in the film to care much about what happened around him, Kill Bill was one of his favourite films. When Ashley returned she could find him leaning heavily on the thick arm of the sofa, legs sprawled across it, opposite David who was doing the same, just two friends lazing out for the afternoon. Ashley returned just as The Bride received her katana from Hattori Hanzo, one of his favourite scenes.

He had no real feelings for Ash, she was just his best friend's little sister, and he saw her as such. In his eyes she was still the little five year old girl he'd first met and had failed to take into account the fact she had grown into a beautiful young woman. Dave shushed her as she mentioned the film, they had kept the volume down so their mother wouldn't realise how violent the film actually was, but both boys moved their feet to allow her room to sit down.

"Hey" said Gaius casually, smiling at Ash over the back of the sofa, that award winning, charming smile beaming up at her "How's school going?" It was asked, but he wasn't quite listening for the answer, it was just a question he asked every time they met. "Nice jumper" he teased with a wink before turning his attention back onto the film. He neither liked nor disliked Ash, she was cute, but she was part of the furniture and the house, like he was. He had yet to realise what a young woman she had become.

Ashley had intended to ask David to move over, but then the two simply offered her a spot, right between the inseparable duo. She immediately felt her mouth go dry, as if she had just been given a task she was certain she could not handle. Hesitating for a moment, she remained still behind them, then climbed over and sank down in the middle, pulling her legs up with her. She could only pray she wouldn't have to sit there feeling out of place as the two boys casually held a conversation right over her head, she felt awkward enough already.

She didn't bother to answer Gaius' icebreaker, mostly because that smile of his had managed to distract her enough to let his words slip. When she did hear him though, she smiled shyly, looking down at the loose fit fabric that only softly followed the shape of her figure. It wasn't her shirt, she had made it a habit to keep a part of Philip with her, and it was usually in the shape of clothing. A very subtle hint of his perfume was still clinging to it, overwhelmed by her own sweet scent. "Kill Bill again, huh?" she asked in an attempt to tease Gaius back, but her brother shushed her yet again, making her purse her lips.

Slowly she shifted in her seat in order to get more comfortable, one of her legs touching one of her Gaius', a fact she was aware of but had no intention of changing. Keeping her voice even lower in order for David to leave her alone she leaned in a little, just close enough to feel the heat from Gaius' shoulder while doing her best to keep her eyes on the film. She had no idea of what to say and her fingers restlessly played with a loose thread on the sweater, but she had to say something now that she was close, had to make it seem like she didn't just seek to make contact. Perhaps he was too consumed by what was happening on the screen to notice, which would only make her choice of words less important. "So, err... are you staying over for supper as well?"

Gaius was intently watching the film so didn't notice her first question, only the shush from David to quieten her. He smiled a little as she slumped onto the sofa between them, it always amused him how awkward she could be when she felt like she was interfering between him and David. Her prayers are partially answered as the two boys watched in silence, the film blaring from the screen, calorific l capturing all of their interests. In fact, if it wasn't for her leg touching his own, Gaius would not have even known she was there. But he was aware, acutely aware of the female leg against his own, which made him turn to smile at Ash.

His attention was soon back on the film and he missed her question, heating it but not recognising it until David shushed her again. “Give over David” Gaius sighed “she's only trying to be polite.” He turned to face Ash and made eye contact, the soft brown of his eyes drawing her in. “Yeah I'm staying” he whispers “your mum is making lamb shank for us, my favourite” he winked again knowingly, their mother always cooked his favourites when Gaius came round for dinner. He looked down at their touching legs, but made no move to remove his own. “ your boyfriend would be jealous” he joked, a wide grin splitting his face, “another man touching his woman “.

It was an in joke in the family, for all his good points Phillip was a jealous boy and had been known to fret over Ash receiving the usual friendly messages from boys in her class. As he finished speaking Mrs Delane called out “dinner is ready!” and David sighed as he paused the film, leading the way into the dining room.

It was a common syndrome for a younger sister to admire the friends of her older siblings, but not quite in the way that Ashley admired Gaius. It happened without her knowledge at first; she changed her behavior around him, making an effort to humor him or be sweet just for the reward of his smile. How many times had she not pressed her ear to the wall when she heard the boys laugh from her brother's room, how many times had she tried to make out what they were talking about just to feel like she was part of the discussion? Then, as they grew older, she eventually caught herself lingering an extra second at David's doorstep when his friend stayed over before waking them up. He had grown up to be an attractive man, and even though she had her Philip, Ashley would secretly admire his frame whenever he slept shirtless. It was an innocent thing to do, but she would always feel shame creeping up on her the moment his eyes met hers, as if he knew.

Like many times before, the girl had to look away after just a brief moment of eye contact, once again pretending to be more interested in the movie than she actually was. She paid no attention to what was happening in it though. In her head his words had caused chaos, and while she replied with an amused smile she contemplated whether or not she should distance herself from him again. "Well technically it's the other way around, so I'd take the blame" she giggled, the words referring to more than just the instance of their legs touching. Luckily she was saved by her mother and was quick to follow the two males to the dining room, leaving the little dilemma behind her.

Her mother greeted them with a smile and the table was already set, something that Ashley would usually take care of just to show her appreciation. She took a seat right across the table from her brother, the same way that she had done for the past seventeen years, while keeping her eyes on his friend to see where he was heading. Mr. Delane was a busy man who rarely accompanied his family although he loved them, which had made it unnecessary to bring out an extra chair for Gaius instead of simply letting him take the father's spot. He was after all pretty much part of the family, though the mother would still treat him as a guest at times and make sure he felt comfortable in their home, something neither of the siblings cared to complain about. "So what were you guys watching?" the mother asked in her warm manner, which drew a teasing smile from Ashley as she gave the two a glance. "And oh, Gaius dear, I left some clean sheets in David's room for you, just in case!" she added as she brought the food to the table.

Gaius had no time to reply before the call to dinner and hastily sat next to David, at an angle to Ash. The food was piping hot and steam rose from the plates in plumes. Gaius inhaled deeply “smells delicious Mrs Delane!” Gaius exclaimed enthusiastically, and avid supporter of her cooking, just one of the reasons Gaius spent so long at their house. “thank you very much” Gaius says politely, smiling warmly at the mother. “we’re watching an action film” he replied cagily before turning the conversation back to the sheets “I'll be sure to wash them personally when I'm done tonight. “ he informed before tucking into the hot food.
Everyone else was eating with the same gusto as Gaius and the whole table fell into the quiet trance of eating, the only sounds being the clatter of cutlery and sounds of contentment. Eventually, all was finished and Gaius rose to clear the plates, standing behind Ash and leaning over her as he took her plate, taking them to the kitchen to be washed. He returned a few moments later “that was amazing” he approved, looking from David to Ash to see if they agreed. David nodded eagerly, though he was never one to turn down food as it was.
“shall we finish the film? “ he asked David, already leaving the room, though as he reached the door he turned to look at Ash “you're free to come too “ he told her, then he put on a fake whisper “and you can sit by me so if we talk we won't disturb Dave” he winked and laughed as David feigned a sulk before following him out, returning to his place on the sofa, Gaius patting the seat next to him for Ash.

As much as she had enjoyed the meal, the real treat for Ashley was when Gaius appeared behind her, a strong arm reaching around her to get her plate. She remained seated though, letting the meal sink in while the table was cleaned off, absentmindedly exchanging a few words with her brother. Normally this was when she would be asked to leave the boys alone and spend some time studying, retreating to her room with a sigh. Just as she was about to get up and leave the kitchen though, she got that invite that she had been waiting for, but not from the person she had expected. Her eyes widened slightly, beaming with joy, but she managed to act calm as she followed the significantly taller male out of the kitchen. She was beyond eager to follow him, and it felt strange admitting it to herself.

With great pride she finally found herself where she wanted to be; next to him, without having to see the brother's face. She still didn't seem to be able to get comfortable as she sat down though, perhaps a little closer to him than she needed to be. Normally with just her brother she would slump down on the couch, taking up more space than she could possibly need, but now she sat up straight and kept her extremities to herself. Well... almost. One hand was carefully placed on his arm in an encouraging manner as she smirked at David, illustrating how she stole her company. "So tell me the story of your life..." she said jokingly, taking every opportunity to mildly annoy her brother. Her hands were then raised to untie her hair, the brown locks draping over her shoulders and immediately giving her a more casual look as she continued speaking, this time in more of a whisper. Her hair still carried a scent of strawberry shampoo. "Well, I already know most of it, but err... how's school? Or was it work...?" She was still playing around, but with her own words she suddenly realized how little they actually talked. She blushed in the pale light of the screen. Ashley did know Gaius, of course, but not even nearly as well as she wished she did. Her gaze dropped to her lap, then his, and she wished they were still touching - even if it was just their legs. She rarely sat down with him for a chat, and when she did, it was mostly polite small-talk just to avoid an awkward silence. If it hadn't been for him expressing that he indeed wanted to talk to her, she would have shut up, but something kept her going. Subconsciously biting her lip softly, she pulled a hand through her hair and turned to the TV again, smiling awkwardly as she did. "Wanna keep bothering Dave a little, just for the sake of it?"

Gaius enjoyed the hand on his arm though he didn't tell her so. He laughed as she asked for goods story and grinned at her as if impressed. He was a little confused as to how she handled herself, usually so relaxed and calm, but currently so stiff and prim. After a while he shuffled his position, his foot resting a hair’s breadth from her thigh. “work is good” he said with a smile, genuinely glad she was talking an interest. The film was reaching its climax and the action was hotting up, Gaius didn't notice as his foot slipped and she could feel the warmth emanating from him to her. He could smell her strawberry hair and couldn't help but glance at her occasionally, finding something different. .. attractive about her. Maybe she wasn't the innocent young girl he saw her as.

“I know lots of ways we could annoy Dave” he whispered with a cheeky wink, a dangerous sparkle in his eye only let down by knowing he was being chaste, simply saying it to bother Dave who kicked him “she's my sister! “ he grumbled, returning to the film. “sorry” he whispered, stifling a laugh that turned into a fit of snorts. Eventually the film ended and Dave yawned and stretched in an over exaggerated way. “its late. .. Maybe we should turn in? “ he asked Gaius who nodded slowly. “ I need to put those sheets on” he recalled, standing to go get the sheets their mother had put out for him. Padding over to David’s room he set up his bed, taking off his shirt to ready for bed. “night Ash “ he yawned before David turned off the TV, hopped off the sofa and went to his room, leaving Gaius and Ash alone for just a moment.

If she had been drinking something she would definitely have choked on it from how sharply she inhaled. Maybe, just maybe, he really meant what he said. That shame crept up her neck yet again, making her shift in her seat, but there was no denying that she wanted it to be true. She wasn't just looking up to him at that moment. No, what she was feeling wasn't just the pride of being acknowledged, it stretched beyond that. Even if it was the first and the last time he ever looked at her the way he did as they sat there, she felt as if that spark in his eyes was equal to a shot of adrenaline right to her veins. She didn't quite understand it, but however confusing it was, she wanted to savor the moment.

Her thoughts were interrupted by David's voice, and the girl silently cursed him for it. The guys were always quick to retreat, which was evident as Gaius left the room and minutes later returned without his shirt. She tried to think of something to say, but the moment he came back to the living room her eyes widened, every thought in her head flying out the window. Her first thought was that he was taking the joke about annoying her brother further, but then again, what if he hadn't meant it as a joke? She was too close not to bite, and as Gaius turned to follow his friend, she realized she wouldn't be able to rest unless she knew for sure.

She panicked, acting purely on impulse.

"N-No, wait!" she blurted out as she hurried to follow him, but she didn't realize that the normal reaction to those words was to actually wait, causing her to walk right into him. Her body collided with his and she raised her hands out of reflex, trying not to lose her balance and feeling that heat against her fingertips as she turned her head up to look at him. "I..." she began, cheeks turning red before she took a step back, "I just... uhm... I think you forgot to lock the back door again. You should probably check, you know, I don't want anyone to break in and stuff..." She sounded like an idiot, but it was the only thing she could think of, considering how nobody but Gaius used that door. Biting her lip out of habit she stood there for a moment, eyes sweeping over his upper body before finding his dark gaze, at which point she turned her back to him. She had looked at him before without the risk of getting caught, but he was wide awake now, and if she stared he would definitely notice. "Sleep well" she said hastily, throwing a last glance over her shoulder before she began walking up the stairs, seeking to flee back to the safety of her own room in order to stop making a fool of herself.

The boys halted as she called them back, Gaius looking over his shoulder, curiosity spreading across his face. He smiled as Ashley mentioned the back door, a little turn at the corner of his mouth as her head raised Cute. David simply sighed and grumbled, stomping back down the stairs past Ashley to make sure it was locked. Their eyes met, alone in the silence of the dark room, with only mere feet between them. The chemistry was almost palpable, and the tension in the air was thick enough to be cut with a knife. He opened his mouth to speak, but before he got a word out, Ashley had run past him up the stairs to her own room, leaving Gaius alone in the hallway.

David returned, "The door was already locked" he sounded grumpy, he usually did when he needed sleep and they continued up the stairs. "She was only trying to help" Gaius tried to reassure as they closed the door, climbing into their respective beds. They usually stayed up to chat a little during the night, and tonight was no exception. In hushed voices they discussed work, girls they found attractive, their futures and what new games were coming out, the big questions. When the topic of women came up, Gaius instinctively thought of Ashley, though shook his head, putting it down to it being the fact she was the last girl he'd seen.

Eventually they drifted off, a conversation left hanging, unfinished and unanswered as Gaius rolled over, his eyes feeling leaden and heavy, causing him to slumber.

The next morning Gaius awoke first, he usually started work early and was used to the early starts, even when they weren't necessary. Putting on the same shirt from the day before he silently stripped the bed and left them in a bundle by the door for later, before turning the handle slowly, creeping out down the stairs as quietly as was possible. Mrs Delane was up too, her day starting a full hour before anyone else even considered rising to make sure the house ran like clockwork. Gaius smiled, pouring himself a coffee and grabbing a bowl of cereal as she worked around him. He watched the birds flying in the garden as he tried to wake himself up fully, knowing it'd be a good hour or so before David even considered waking up.

Normally Ashley would try to wake up before the boys even on the weekends in order to get the shower first, but today she didn't go anywhere near her brother's door just to avoid seeing what she was usually faced with in the morning. She had tried to fall asleep quickly, but her mind was too busy reviewing the details of what had happened, overanalyzing every aspect of it. With her thoughts heavily occupied, she had a dream about him that night, one she would never come to speak of. It was wrong, and most likely just her hormones acting up - or at least that was what she told herself when she awoke. It was just Gaius, the same guy she had known for twelve years, for God's sake.

Leaving the shower with just a white bathrobe, Ashley followed the sounds that were coming from the kitchen, making her way downstairs while drying her hair with a towel. "Morning mom" she chimed, her voice clear as a bell until she spotted the handsome brunette who was supposed to be sleeping. Her initial reaction was to cover herself with the towel, but she quickly realized she was already wearing something and went back to drying her hair while clenching her jaw. Just looking at him she could picture what he looked like without that shirt, making it rather hard to be around him. "Morning," she said quietly without looking up as she poured herself a glass of juice, "You're up early." Just that, a short greeting, then the girl had to excuse herself as she headed towards the living room.

Despite their moment she still avoided initiating a conversation with him, partially due to the respect, but now she found herself nervous around him for other reasons as well. She could blame it on some sort of morning mood, but quite frankly she didn't know how to approach him while her head was still filled with distracting images. Sighing deeply she laid down on the couch, turning the TV on mostly for the low background noise it offered.

Gaius smiled subtley as Ashley walked in, her knee-jerk reaction to cover herself, despite wearing a bathrobe amused him. He nodded to her, mouth full of cereal and continued to eat as her mother spun round "Morning Honey!" she called to her daughter. "There's cereal the in the cupboard and juice in the fridge but if you'd like a batch of pancakes I can whip them up?" It was almost the same thing she said every morning. Gaius had just swallowed and was about to reply with a "good morning" of his own when Ashley darted from the room.

He could hear the TV on, and finishing his own breakfast, rinsed his bowl and set it in the dishwasher before heading out to see Ashley. He padded softly across the wooden floor, and leant against the back of the sofa the same way she had last night. "Mind if I join you?" He asked congenially. "Your brother won't be up for ages and I forgot my laptop." He looked a little embarrassed at that last point, like it was some big deal for him to have something to do at all times.

Without waiting for a response he hopped over the back of the sofa, sitting my her feet, occupying the remaining space her lounging for did not. "What's on?" He inquired, stifling a yawn, early morning TV was always crap, but there was sometimes something on that could be classed as interesting enough to watch. He smiled across at Ashley warmly "How's things with Philip?" It was an odd question, not for the question itself, but for the fact it was Gaius asking it, their conversations had never really gone past the neutral, polite conversational stage, never daring to ask over personal matters.

David wasn't up?

Immediately her thoughts stirred, and she closely followed him with her eyes as he hopped over and seated himself at the other end of the sofa. She caught his gaze for a moment, and it made her wonder what was going through his head. A part of her was prepared for a questioning about the previous night, but his voice was as kind as ever and it only added to her worries. She was no longer sure about whether she wanted him to notice or not, if only to see his reaction. Ashley was the type of girl who seemed to catch many boys' interest, seeing how she would occasionally have to tell her boyfriend about indecent messages from people at her school, and it had always bothered her. Perhaps it was simply the fact that Gaius was one of the few exceptions, one of the people fate had predetermined would never give her a second glance, that made it frustrating to look at him. She never thought about it, but subconsciously she had gotten used to things coming easily, and being faced with something different seemed to draw her in.

Carefully she shifted, bunching up the towel in her hands as she sat up. "Good I guess, but he's been kind of busy lately," she answered absentmindedly and showed a faint smile while leaning towards the table to put her glass down. It wasn't true, and she didn't know why she said it, but she did. The robe was hanging loose, just barely revealing the soft shapes of her skin beneath it as she leaned forward, partially covered by wet strands of hair. "So... what should we do until Dave gets up?" she asked, shy but determined not to let the silence take over. Did he know that she didn't go change because she knew how easily a bathrobe could slip aside? Had he noticed how she couldn't look at him, but at the same time, she couldn't look away? She tilted her head, nodding towards the stairs with a very vague frown, now speaking of her brother the way she normally did when she was annoyed with him. "Maybe... you want me to go wake him up?"

He frowned with concern as she said Philip had not been paying her a lot of attention recently. "That's a shame" he commented, but made no further comments on the situation. As she leant forward to set the glass down he couldn't help but notice her loose robe, granting him a brief glimpse of what bid beneath. She was not an unattractive girl and his cock twitched, awakening from its slumber as their eyes met. It would be obvious to realise where he had been looking, and he opened his mouth to reply, to form some sort of defence, but he gave up, snapping his mouth shut and blushing mildly.

Given his current state he could think of several things they could do, only ruled out by the fact she had a boyfriend and that he was a long standing family friend. When the question of waking David came up he was quick to shut the idea down "No, no! There's no need" he said quickly, "Let him sleep, he was grumpy enough last night as it was, we don't need to wake him and make it worse." At that moment Mrs Delane called out from the kitchen "I'm heading out to the shops, you kids need anything? " Gaius pivoted in his seat and called back "No thanks, Mrs Delane! " after which the front door promptly opened and closed.

Gaius and Ashley were alone again and he gave a small laugh over how the universe had been forcing them together over the last few hours. "What do you feel like doing? " he asked her innocently, with just a trace of teasing subtext. She was his best friend's sister, she had a boyfriend, but he couldn't help it, anyway, it was just a bit of fun, wasn't it?

Of course she had seen it, the little moment when his expression faltered as his gaze dropped slightly. She could practically feel his eyes that happened to linger for just a second longer than they should have, looking instead of doing the decent thing, which would have been to inform her about how the fabric had loosened up. It made her heart race to see him shift at the sight of her, but what he showed wasn't discomfort. He simply excused himself with a smile, but she pretended like she wasn't aware of what he had just seen, like his attention didn't affect her and like she didn't want more of it. She did however bite her lip softly, a smile acknowledging the tension that suddenly hung in the air between them when her mother left the house.

The tone in his voice could have slipped by without Ashley noticing if it hadn't been for the lack of disturbance around them. The girl shrugged and let her hands that were resting on her lap play with the hem of the robe, acting like she was just keeping her hands busy, when in reality she wanted to draw his eyes to the movement. She surely had a will of her own albeit her nervous behavior around Gaius, even if it wasn't a good thing at all times. "I guess we could play..." she said suggestively, beckoning his mind to open up for whatever mental images the words could lead to. She was really pushing the limit, playing with fire. The brief loss of composure in him should have been enough to keep her satisfied, but she was like a moth drawn to the flame, taking the chance of flying too close just for the rush. "I mean.. it always looks like so much fun when you guys are gaming," she added after a few seconds, shattering the way her suggestion could have been interpreted. If Philip had been there to see or hear her he would have gone absolutely mad, but she hadn't done anything wrong, right? After all she just wanted to play with the thought that had been occupying her mind for some time now, the same way one could try out expensive things they knew they couldn't afford buying. Needless to say she had to stop either way, and she would, just... not yet.

He held his breath as she suggested playing, she couldn't be suggesting that? could she? His eyes followed her hand to the hem of her robe and he inadvertently licked his lips, unable to control himself. His thoughts instantly turned to ravishing the young teen, his prick hardening in response. He felt his heart sink a little though as she mentioned gaming, "Oh..." he mumbled disheartened. His heart raced and his head swam.

He was still determined though, the girl had teased him this far, he could tell she liked him, was attracted to him, now hew knew what he was looking for. "I know a game we could play" he said softly, his voice soft and seductive. Shuffling a little closer he placed a large hand on her knee, caressing slowly, defiantly. "How would your boyfriend feel about this? " he purred, feeling his confidence grow, becoming more bold. David wouldn't be up for ages, Ashley's mum out shopping, they were effectively alone.

Her skin was soft like silk, warm and enticing and he shuffled a little closer, lifting her legs and placing them on his lap, hand rising a little higher onto her thigh, other hand cupping her cheek. They were close, only a foot or so between them, his breathing careful and deliberate. "You look great" he reassured, as if it justified his actions.

Her intention had been to get a reaction from him, but the outcome of her actions was beyond her expectations. Not only did she notice that he was coming to life, hardening as his thoughts most likely trailed off, but suddenly he had a hunger in his eyes as well. "I... I'm not sure," Ashley said, laughing nervously as his hand was suddenly touching her, blue eyes cautiously following his every move. Surely it was a joke, she thought to herself at first. Just a way of taking the family joke about her boyfriend further. Any moment now, he would burst into that cheeky laughter, for sure.

Her eyes widened slightly as he moved even closer, and the girl held her breath. She looked up only to meet the depth of his eyes, finding herself speechless as he pulled her legs onto his lap, his hands big on her and setting her skin on fire. She had gotten too close, far too close, but still she found herself unable to retreat. Although it had just been mentioned, Philip's name wasn't working as an obstacle at that moment, although it should have been. Gaius wasn't joking, and she felt another rush jolt through her body as his hand inched its way up. Her cheeks grew warm and the only movement she dared to make was to lift her own hand to his arm, as if she wanted to pull it away but lacked the determination to follow through. "We shouldn't..." she breathed, eyes flickering down to his lips as he spoke words of genuine kindness, Ashley flattered yet hesitant. "How would your friend feel about this...?" she countered softly, teasingly challenging that increased confidence of his, but at the same time the question was filled with genuine wonder. Was it really okay to be so close?

She spoke of reluctance, but in Gaius' eyes he saw only a desperate need for him to continue. As he sidled closer, her attempts to stop him were insignificant and weak, though he told himself that if she made any real attempt to stop him he would agree. Ashley asked about "your friend". "David?" he asked, a logical conclusion as he didn't see Philip as a friend. "What he doesn't know won't hurt him." His voice was so soft Ashley almost had to strain to hear him. He felt like he could hear her heart, the tension was so palpable in the room, yet it felt so... right for them to be doing this.

Before he could waste any more time Gaius cupped her chin, raising her head to be level with his, and quickly, leant forward, placing his lips gently on hers. It was a tender moment, a light, almost chaste kiss that seemed to last forever. His tongue slowly snaked out, brushing against her lips, begging them to part for him, so warm and invitingly. He pulled away, leaving her wanting more and that playful smile was back on his face. "See?" he said "A fun game, isn't it?" The hand on the outside of her thigh snaked a little higher, just a little, it seemed the next natural step in his eyes.

It all happened so fast. She remained completely still, big blue eyes locked with his, her head being tilted up as if she had no will of her own. She didn't dare to speak, afraid that it would spoil the moment. Her eyes closed as the warmth of his lips met hers, but she did not kiss him back, she simply let him. It was not that she didn't want to. She couldn't, physically. She could not react, paralyzed by his sudden approach. As if she was frozen she dared not to move until he pulled back, her eyes fluttering open to look at him again. Finally she dared to breathe. She had not felt many lips on hers, but his were so gentle and warm, cooing her into safety. She wanted more indeed, and her tongue darted out to taste the sweet trail he had left behind on her unresponsive lips.

As his face moved away she followed, making sure not to let the distance between them grow again. A brief nod was given, the girl feeling a shiver run down her spine. They shouldn't, but what was stopping them? Was this not exactly what she had wished for? "Don't stop," she pleaded, her voice so shy and mild that it could barely be heard. It was a plea for a second chance to savor his taste, to actually accept it this time, and she almost took the second step. Leaning in further, her lips brushed against his ever so gently as she spoke against them, the two sharing a breath. "Keep playing," she whispered softly, her legs shifting with the movement of his hands. She wanted to part them for him, but the intimacy was so foreign that she pressed her thighs closer together, resisting the temptation. Only one pair of hands that weren't her own had ever touched her in a more than friendly manner, and it didn't come naturally for her to seek out that touch by herself. Instead, her hands had almost subconsciously moved to the knot that held the robe together, her fingers innocently keeping themselves busy. A tug on it was the only thing that kept her from revealing herself to him, but she didn't consider the possibility. All she knew was that she at the very least wanted him to kiss her again.

Gaius chuckled. It was a warm, soft, deep chuckle that emanated from deep within him. "You want to keep playing?" He asked, seeing the need in her eyes, his own dancing with fiery temptation. It had been so easy, to convert her from loving girlfriend to... this. Something about it was so magical, another man's girl, even if he knew it was very, very wrong. His eyes flitted down over her body, the hands on her knot seemed to be unable to make their mind up, whether to undo the robe or hold it fast. He could just see down the top, a tantalising glimpse of breast that did more to fire his desires that seeing her naked could have done alone.

He kissed her again. It wasn't quite the delicate, tentative kiss of before. It was more... seducing. His lips brushed hers, moving upwards, the friction holding them together before pulling away. Holding for a second, he moves down, nipping lightly at Ashley's lower lip. As Gaius moves away he smiles, just slightly, before kissing her properly. Their lips meet, his tongue parting hers, forcing hers to dance with his. It seems like an eternity as Gaius teases Ashley, his hand on her leg gripping ever so slightly, pulling away from the kiss, forcing Ashley to lean closer to continue. The kiss finishes as Gaius breaks away, "So who won that game?" He asked, in that husky tone.

This time she did not miss a beat. Her lips were drawn to his at the first touch, following his movements as if she was on a leash. One of her hands slid up to caress his jawline, just gently pulling him closer, her need becoming more obvious. They were strangers in every aspect of their dance, briefly connecting at first, getting familiar with one another. She could feel herself relaxing her body, letting Gaius guide her, then pressing needy lips against his at last. Her tongue greeted his, hidden in their passionate encounter, Ashley leaning into the kiss and surrendering to her shameful desire. The hand slid down, fingers dipping over the shape of his collarbone, before resting on his chest. She could feel his heart racing as much as hers, being the one thing that the mind could not calm when fear and joy filled it.

When their lips parted at last, Ashley drew a shuddering breath as she tried to collect her thoughts, exhaling slowly as she looked at him with heavily lidded eyes. A moment passed, then the corners of her lips curled in a faint smile. "Definitely not the one who pulled away," she said softly, with that perfect balance of lust and timidity in her voice. "Maybe we should--" she managed to say before she heard movement somewhere in the house, thinking it was a draft at first, but soon enough she remembered where they were and fell silent. As it dawned upon her she stiffened again, her eyes looking everywhere but at Gaius, suddenly showing a grave discomfort. She pulled herself from his lap, one hand clasping her mouth as she mouthed a quiet curse before standing up. Loud thumping could be heard from upstairs as David awoke, soon he would come down, without a clue that his best friend had just teased every bit of decency out of his sister, or that she had fantasies of him doing exactly that. He had fucked her in her dreams that night, but just now they had pushed the line between her imagination and the real world, and the moral conflict in her eyes was painfully obvious when she looked at Gaius in disbelief. Without saying anything else she hurried out of the living room, hoping she could make it to her room without being forced to face her brother.

Gaius' heart was racing. This was wrong, but so right! Her soft, gentle hand on his chest reassured him, reminded him that she wanted this as much as he did. His smile grew as she spoke "I think we both won" He replied, a little slower to hear the noises upstairs, unable to work out what was going on before Ashley had fled the room in a mad panic, leaving Gaius alone in the lounge, sitting in a somewhat awkward position with a raging erection. He was a little confused, but then he too remembered that David was still upstairs and that the noise must be him waking up, a sense of guilt started to flood through him, though it was quickly pushed away.

David almost stumbled as he came down the stairs, the bumps and crashes heard throughout the entire house, he still wasn't quite awake as he turned the corner of the stairs "Hey" He mumbled, Gaius turning round to smile widely "Morning!" in his usual chipper tone. David disappeared around the corner to the kitchen, returning a few minutes later "We're out of milk" he said sulkily, starting to head back upstairs. "Where are you going?" Asked Gaius "Gonna get dressed and get the milk" He said, stifling a yawn. Gaius turned his attention back to the TV, unsure what to do.

David returned fifteen minutes later dressed and showered, looking much more awake. "Going to the shop, grab some milk." He sat by Gaius as he put his shoes on. "Get Kill Bill 2 ready for when I get back, yeah?" He smiled and promptly left via the front door before Gaius could respond.

Once again the house was empty.

The second Ashley entered the room she turned to slam the door shut, but quickly changed her mind, closing it as quietly as she could instead. Things had gone south - not just figuratively speaking - and she had brought it on herself. Hell, she had begged for it. No matter how wrong it was, she was more at fault than Gaius. Sure, getting intimate with your best friend's sister wasn't something to be proud of in most cases, but that was nothing compared to what she had done. With her thoughts split she leaned against the door, finally daring to remove the hand that was clasped over her mouth. "Shit..." she whispered to herself. The worst thing was that if it hadn't been for Philip, she would barely have minded.

Too busy to hear the front door open and close, Ashley took a deep breath, tightening the belt around her waist as if readjusting the bathrobe would make anything better. Maybe she could call a friend or go for a walk, just to get out of the house. But as if someone had overheard her thoughts, the buzz of a phone could be heard in the room, causing her heart to skip. Finding it lost in her sheets, she looked down only to read the name that was making her emotions stir so wildly on the screen. Philip.

She had to pick up. He knew she rarely left her phone out of sight, and if he had called while she was downstairs, he was most likely getting worried by now. "Hi babe," her voice squeezed out when she finally find the courage to answer the call. Guilt washed over her at the sound of his voice, the feeling of another's lips still lingering on hers, making her voice sound slightly strained. "No, I'm alright, just a little tired..." she said as she walked over to the window, twirling a strand of hair around her finger as she looked out, putting her room and the rest of the house - and Gaius - behind her back. She saw David leave the house but thought nothing of it, her mind entirely focused on gathering her scattered thoughts.

Gaius slipped Kill Bill 2 into the DVD player and hung around for a few minutes, watching the menu cutscene restlessly before deciding on a course of action. He felt guilty for what he had done. He felt like he had betrayed David, his best friend, best friends weren't supposed to be kissing their sisters, it was an unwritten rule. But he had also insulted Philip, and whilst he didn't particularly like the boy, he didn't wish him any ill will. But Ashley was cute, and more importantly, willing. She had been the one to tease him, to lead him on, hadn't she? His emotions were a mess, but he knew what he was going to do.

Silently he crept up the stairs, initially his plan had been to just to take a shower and hide in the room until David returned, but he found himself entering Ashley's room for some unknown reason... She was standing by the window, looking out over the street as he aproached, with only the slight creep of a floorboard giving away the fact he was there. He snuck an arm round her waist, pulling her close, enjoying the warmth of her body. As she looked at him with shock he smiled, mouthing to her "Lets keep playing, this time I won't lose." He caressed her arm, hand sliding under the thin fabric of the robe to her arm, running his nails gently down her skin. What was he doing? After feeling so guilty about it the first time, here he was doing it all over again! But he couldn't control himself. He wanted Ashley, and there was no arguing in that.
