The once cloudless sky quickly changed, the large, once comfortable of the sun was blotted out. The ground came to life with various creatures, obviously not natural to the world, for they almost morphed from the ground itself as the shadows were cast over the surface of the planet. Deep red hues being the only other color inhabiting the creatures of shadow, and the undead that forced themselves free from their entrapment beneath the crust. The planet seemed to be enveloped in clouds now, though not their usual white coloring, but more of a dark purple tint. The once green grass became brown and brittle, trees quickly died. Some corruption had contaminated this planet, and its inhabitants were now locked in a fight for their lives against these creatures. Many had fallen at the claws and teeth of the shadowed beings, the undead had devoured both helpless women and children, which in turn, became one with those they so hated. Village after village had fallen, unable to defend themselves, they had fallen back to one of the few fortress cities that still stood in defiance, the last hope of humanity was if these homes, turned prisons, held.

Due to the dense population, many grew sick, provisions dwindled, theft and murder ran rampant, and families were forced to hack their loved ones into pieces after death, for on more than one occasion the dead came back to kill the ones they once loved. Constant moans and screeches had driven more than one dweller insane, and those insane had tried opening the gates, and on an occasion or two, they were successful. The large doors creating a barrier, were being beaten, the wood was starting to splinter as the massive ogre creatures, standing three times the height of any man, and a hundred times stronger, continued their constant assault. Time was dwindling for the survivors of the villages, something had to be done to stop these monsters.

Armies were formed, enemies of war, rivalries for land, were all forgotten in humanity's darkest hours. Successfully, A portion of the northern most continent of the planet. Humanity makes its stand, attempting to push downward, many of the keeps still stand, separated and suffering, the Kingdom of the Isles begins to make its way down to the besieged structures. Few swordsmen have proven themselves valiant sources of inspiration, they became the figurehead of the army. Most recently, magic users have been discovered, and very few at the level of cause devastating damage to the hordes of creatures.

The screeching of the shadowed creatures echoed throughout the barren area that had once been a beautiful plains. The clouds began to circle in the sky, bright blue lightning began to flash, lighting the plains. The flashes were bright enough that even these creatures, some thought to be immortal, cringed. In mid air, the air warped, creating an orb, a dimensional rift formed. The once see through orb began to fade into black, and taking on a more liquid form, though retaining the circular structure, it rippled as if water. The lightning struck the orb, sending volts of static energy across its surface, the material was very conductive. Something from within began to press against the surface, warping the orbs shape slightly before a white patch of hair was revealed, head lowered, the black orb retained its general shape, his shoulders appearing shortly after, then a right leg, which seemed to step on air, but the air seemed stable. A bright red glyph appeared just outside the orb, creating a platform in mid air.

Peeling off him almost as a banana lost its skin, the form of Karyama was revealed, his head slowly rising, and his eyelids peeling back to reveal the bright blue, dimly glowing hues, his arms resting at his sides. He was wearing a black magicians robe, the sleeves hanging to his wrists, a pair of black pants, a pair of well treated boots, and to complete his uniform, a pair of white gloves. Once released from the orb, it seemed to become unstable, and suddenly lost its form, falling to ground as nothing but water. The wind gusted around his form, causing the tail of his robe to sway slightly. His bright colored hues narrowed upon the creatures beneath him, who glared up at him hungrily, and with the next flash of lightning, he outstretched his arm and redirected it directly into the congestion of them, the energy tore deep into the ground, shredding it and sending arching volts in every direction, incinerating those within the radius of the direct contact point. This was his place in this world, to thin out the creatures so the armies could mop up the last of them, it was a slow process, but this seemed to be the only successful way.

Screams could be heard in the distance and blood was shed from behind a fallen down building, a shadow could be seen wiping something long and sharp, the shadow moved forward and a long leg could be seen, black leather heeled boots that came up to the knee with a pair of boy shorts that looked to be the same matierial, the woman looked to be 5`9 in height with long auburn hair that was slightly curled, her fair skin glowing in the sun set, she turned her green eyes forward and placed her sword behind her back, she wore a long trench coat that went to her knees with a black peasent looking top, she walked easily her heels clicking the pavement as she moved towards the armies camp or at least where she was told it was , the thing that stood out most was the large white cat ears sticking out of the top of her head, her long white tail hidden by her coat but moved easily behind her as she walked, her green eyes looked to be like the cat eyes you see on panthers.

She was a refugee coming from one of the old towns that was taken over by these...creatures, she jumped all cat like ontop of the fallen rocks and onto the tops of buildings to try and get there faster by running suprisingly fast in her heels.

Cast out his gaze over the terrain from his incredible vantage point. His glowing blue hues narrowing on the figure in the distance, it moved differently than the creatures, in fact the creatures looked quite disturbed at its presence. The set of glyphs he had been using as a platform flickered before vanishing, his form lowering to the ground, slower than the usual human drop rate, the tail of his robe swaying violently behind his form before he landed rather elegantly upon the ground, his arms held at his sides. Suddenly a pulsation emitted from his form, a massive gust of wind following in close suit. The force behind it caused the brittle grass to crumble and flow up around his form, as a miniature tornado formed around his form.

The ground around his form cracked and warped, flames erupting across the ground, the bright lighting causing severe damage to the shadowed creatures that surrounded his form. The dried out grass seemed to allow the flames to easily catch, and due to the shredded pieces of grass his wind technique had caused, the sky lit up like the after effects of a firework, raining down brightly lit ashes, it was an almost beautiful sight. His gaze remained narrowed on the being, and once the distance between the two had shortened, he realized, it was a female. His boots clicked lightly against the ground, watching her form. "Strange..You don't see many roaming around, especially by themselves.." Behind him, the array of colors filled the once dark air. Upon closer inspection, his eyes did something odd as well, unlike many others, his gaze flowed with every color of the spectrum, swirling together in perfect synchronization, though the bright blue undertone was ever present, it acted much like oil to water.

She saw a figure fall from the sky, she stood watching the lights around him, thinking it was beautiful but he looked as if he was trying to show dominance, she narrowed her green eyes slightly and jumped high her own coat following behind her at a quick rate and landed maybe a 3 feet from him, she stood her her large sword drawn and at her side as she looked at him " humm aren't you just a colorful sight " she smirked wondering who this guy was obviously he was a mage of some sort " i have no business with you mage" she said kind of roughly, she put her sword back in the sheath to show that she wasnt trying to pick a fight.

Showing no sign of surprised as she had jumped at him, his bright blue hues watched her form. He was used to creatures jumping at him, and had she decided to move any closer than her current position, he would show that he wasn't deadly both with magic, and physical combat. "My my..Aren't you just a pretty little kitty.." This caused the corners of his lips to curl slightly, in all technicality, his job here was done, those shadowed creatures in which weren't dead, were quickly becoming so, writhing around on the ground, screeching into the air. His head turned toward the writhing forms of the dying creatures. "Noisy little bastards..." With that, his attention returned to her for a moment before he gave her a glance over. "Your almost to the barrier, there the armies guard the civilians..." He slowly turned away from her form and began to walk back in the direction of the Kingdom's territory.

She watched him and then looked to the creatures and hissed slightly making then crawl away in fear, she walked behind him and jumped clean over him not saying a word but was snarling slightly at the kitty comment, she walked easily her hair bouncing behind her as she crossed the barrier and moved quiet confedently into the kingdom of which then sane humans and other good creatures lived, if thats what you want to call them, she opened the large doors and walked through them calling a name in a demanding voice " lawrence!" she moved through the city streets looking around then coming across a band of caravans that had come here a few days before hand, she growled dangerously and walked up grabbing the scruff of his neck and pulling him close " that was real sly of you leaving me in the middle of the city like that you piece of worthless shit" she said through sharp teeth, she pushed him back and snarled slightly walking up closer to him growling her hand on her sword " i ought to just slice you in half right here." the man called lawrence was smirking at her and telling her she was all talk, she narrowed her eyes and watching him with them dangerously.

Arched an eyebrow as she had jumped over his form, a rather unneeded move, but whatever, flaunt the skills you have. He followed shortly behind her form as she passed through the barrier. The soldiers knew him well enough, for he had kept most of them out of combat at one time or another, more than likely saving their lives. He watched as the female up and grabbed one of the people whom had found shelter in the walls of the kingdom. "Hm..Looks like someone owes someone else.." He laughed and approached as so he could hear the conflict a little better, he always found confrontations between people amusing.

All she really did was rough him up a good bit nearly cutting his arm off before he backed away from her and tossed her her things that the caravan left in the cars, she snarled at then and slung her pack over her shoulder and sheathed her sword walking away and past him, she had noticed he followed but didn't pay mind to it, she walked the streets and found a corrner and dropped her stuff as she stood leaning against the building and closing her eyes her ears turning every which way listing to the sounds

Karyama shook his head as he watched the female literally almost tear the male into ribbons, then she randomly walked off. He arched an eyebrow and began to make his way down the street, in her general direction, no he wasn't following her, but there was only one main street that led through the rather large, walled kingdom. From a nearby market, he had taken two pieces of fruit, chomping down on one, he smiled, it wasn't very often one got to enjoy some fruit, they were becoming a sort of luxury nowadays. As he passed the female though, he tossed the other toward her, and seeing as her ears were twitching, she more than likely would be able to hear it coming, she didn't seem that dull before, though it would be amusing if it hit her in the face.

her ears perked forward and she stayed still till her clawed hand extended forward and grabed the apple securely in her hand, she opened one eye and watched him walk by, she narrowed that one eye and waited before taking a bit of apple after smelling it, she watched the many people walking by and felt a ball hit her leg, she turned her gaze up to see a couple kids looking at her, both eyes open now she kicked the ball up and bounced it on her knee before letting it roll to her foot, she balanced it there for a moment before tossing it over, she watched and smiled slightly before grabbing her bag again and walking the way he had went, just like him she wasn't following just moving in a general direction, she finished her apple and tossed it in a trash bin before continuing on. As she passed him she nudged him, not in an aggressive way just slightly to get his attention" you know its not nice to throw things at others" she said and continued to walk off adjusting her back on her shoulder.

Karyama turned his attention toward the female as she had nudged him, his blue hues looking her over as she had spoken. "Yes well, I thought you could use something to eat.." He shrugged to himself, watching her walk on ahead before he slowly came to a stop, turning his head toward that of a nearby market. His lips slowly curled into a smile as he moved toward that of the doorway, the place was a restaurant, and a warm meal would do him good. He turned his gaze toward the female as she had continued on her way before he merely shrugged and went inside.

She didn't eat much the apple was enough to fill her for the time being, she ignored the strange male before continuing to walk the streets looking around at the different things, she found a sword shop and started to look at the daggers she had her eye on one that looked to be rather interesting, she picked it up and spun it around in her hand quite easily trying the weight of it, she smiled and opened her sack looking for her money compartment, she was glad the slimball hadn't found it, she payed for the dagger and strapped the sheath to her thigh and placed the dagger in it easily, she continued on her way and just looked at the different shops in interest.

Silence filled the street, that was until people started screaming, rushing out of the restaurant in terror. Enough magical energy filled the air, it almost made it thick and a little harder to breath. The civilians stumbled forward, trying to get out of range as someone came exploding through the door. The figure rolled across the ground before quickly sitting up, its spine cracking. Clutched within his teeth was the flesh of a little girl, who was a waitress. He sat on her knees, crying as she tried to stop the bleeding by applying pressure on the wound. Bright blue hues peered out from within the darkness within the building, the figure of Karyama stepping out into the light, glaring down at the creature in which was once human. "Damn you undead fuckers are annoying.." His muscles tensed as he approached the creature, watching it stand, its gaze watching the already wounded female.

She jerked her head around and saw everything with her keen eyes, she left her bag and dashed back down the hill skidding to a stop, she looked at the male then went over to the female looking at the wound and helping her up, she didn't know the process of how the undead came to be she usually just left before it happened thinking the wounded were just dead weight, she bent down near the woman looking at the wound, she took off her coat exposing her tail and taking a strip from the pocket and applying preasure to the would letting the rag soak up the blood.

Karyama tensed his muscles, and suddenly the temperature of the area dropped dramatically. His eyes flared brightly before the creature jumped toward the female, attempting to finish off the female it had injured already, and perhaps the one aiding her. In mid air, its expression froze, its body stiffening, and it dropped out of the air like a rock, hitting the ground, and shattering into thousands of pieces. Grinning, Karyama released the magical energy he was harnessing, and the temperature rose once more. "Piece yourself back together after that.." His gaze shifted toward the female, approaching the wounded one and placing a hand to her head, though before he enveloped it in flame, he decided against it. He turned toward some of the other civilians. "Hurry up and clean the wound..Maybe you can stop it before the infection spreads.." He looked down at the girl. "Would you rather die..Or have the chance to lose your arm?.."

She glared at him and watched the people take the woman away before she stood again placing her hands on her hips and watching them before turning back to him "as long as its not my good arm" was what she said before shrugging and gathered up her coat pulling it back on and looking up at him " might want to dispose of those pieces before a few kids get ahold of them" she motioned to the flesh pieces and then back to him rubbing the back of her neck slightly.

Karyama looked up to the cat like female, narrowing his hues on her form. "I wasn't talking to you..I was asking the girl if she would rather lose her arm, than have the chance to die due to the infection.." He turned his head toward that of the pieces of the creature on the ground, he snapped his fingers, and the ground around the pieces had been set aflame, it released a stench, of course burning flesh always did, but at least the infection will be quelled if anything got their hands on it. "There..I took care of it.."

when he turned back around she was gone but the blood that she had stepped in told other wise, she had gone to the right heading back to her bag but she wasn't in sight, she sat on her bag and leaned back against the stone wall in a small place between two shops, maybe she could stay away from that male from earlier, tho he did seem interesting, she just wanted to be left alone to get some much needed sleep, she moved down and propped her head on her sack curling up to it and layed there trying to take a nap at least.

Karyama turned back, seeing the female was gone, indeed she had left footprints from the blood that led into the ally way, but the fact she had vanished obviously meant she didn't wish to be followed. Not that he had planned to follow her anyways, he shrugged to himself, watching as a set of guards moved out, they were about to make a post where he had destroyed the creatures, and they were going to do a little clean up of the area. His eyebrow arched before he began to make his way toward the Inn, this where his 'home' was, since the place was crowded, but he seemed to keep his own room, not many were interested in sharing a room with someone like him. He entered the lower floor, which had been altered into a tavern, and the place was filled with drunkards, wenches, the usual kind. Cold eyes watched him as he passed across the room, moving to take a seat on a stool at the bar. "Get me some Rum.."

She blinked and turned on her side before one of the women came up to her and nudged her she hissed but stopped and looked up to the one who nudged her, the woman started to bark at her for sleeping behind the shop, she sighed an got up before moving to the inn, she came up to the clerk and asked for a room, she got a hopeful look when he said there was one open, but then it dropped when she found out she was shareing, she wondered who with when he gave her the key, she walked up the staires and opened the door and seeing two beds opposite of one another, she saw things in there, must be a male...lovely" she thought before she sat her stuff down on her bed and plopped on it sighing softly and laying her head on the pillow and purred softly at the softness.

Karyama sighed for a moment as he had lifted the bottle to his hips, taking a swig of the rum, allowing some of it to drain down his throat before he put the bottle on the counter, making a slight face from the nasty taste. He turned his head when the cat-like female had entered. "God..Will I never get away from her?.." He of course had been speaking to himself under his breath, that was until he watched her move close to him and ask for a room. His gloved hand moved to rub the arch of his nose. He watched her get the key and head up stairs, he knew which room she would be going to, of course it would be his, why not? Since she had shown up he hadn't been able to keep out of her sight, not that she was stalking him, but more of situational. "Looks like I will be having a long night down here.."

She slept in her bed and had taken her coat off and was sleeping with out the coat which was draped on the chair in the corrner next to her bag, she rolled on her stomach and placed her arm over her eyes her own whit tail flicking slight at the end, after about 4 hours she opened her eyes and sat up yawning slightly, she got up and rubbed her head and pushing her hair back slightly, she got up and walked out of the room and down the hall towards the steps stetching her arms out and yawning all cat like her hips swaying in a sultry way.

Karyama sighed to himself now, his mind only slightly blurred due to a buzz he had going. He decided it was about time to head upstairs upstairs, it was late already, and more than likely they had planned on using him to clear out more of those..things. Placing his hands flat on the counter, they aided his ability to stand slowly. He began to make his way up the stairs, his guard was still up, but his cold exterior seemed somewhat...gone. He smiled to himself for a moment as he advanced up the steps, only to run into that of the female from the night before, his bright blue hues looking her over before he passed her form, toward the room in which he stayed, as well as her new room, his hand had gripped her tail for a moment as he passed, laughing to himself as he entered the room, leaving her in the hall.

Her hair stood on end when he touched and tugged her tail, she stopped and turned back around growling slightly and walking after him her tail swaying slightly behind her as she followed him towards..... her room! she went wide eyed and sighed softly before turning and going down stairs to get something to eat, she climbed the stairs and dashed into her room looking around and finding him she went up behind him and flicked him in the ear, she had no beef with him in all honesty " why did you pull my tail like that, and how in the hell did i get a room with you" she asked him standing behind him crossing her arms.

Karyama laughed for a moment, arching an eyebrow and turning his head as she flicked at his ear. "Hey now.." He turned toward her form before he shrugged, his arms crossing over his chest. "I would have to say fate plays its part in it..because we just can seem to get away from one another.." He shook his head slightly, listening to her question about him touching her tail, he offered a shrug in return. "Well its kinda cute..Like those ears of yours.." He looked up at her with his bright blue eyes. "Can't say You would be the worst room mate to have..rather a cute woman, than an ugly man, or wench.."
