Brilliance, both in planning and execution. I have no love lost for bratty teenage girls who worship the most recent pop singer, ignorant socialite, or in this case a tale of vampires who are as shimmeringly fabulous as a gay pride parade, as their newest false deity. I can't bash it too extensively because I've never read any of the author's work nor seen the movie, but I'm hard-pressed to respect a vegetarian vampire high school student who glitters in the sunlight. That just sounds like a facepalmingly bad fanfic or something.
