Ryan Morris at one point in his life had it all. He was one of founding partners of a very successful public relations company. He also had a beautiful wife, Annabelle. But everything changed about 5 years ago. One night, Ryan and Annabelle were in a terrible car accident. A drunk driver ran a red light and crashed into the passenger side of their car. Ryan was OK but Annabelle was killed instantly. After Ryan got out of the hospital, he sold his share of the company to his partners and moved to his and Annabelle's cabin in the mountains near Lake Tahoe. He build the cabin after he made his first $10,000,000. It had all the amenities, full electricity, Satellite TV and Internet. He left the cabin once a week to get food for him and his 5 year old golden retriever, Belle.

One night Ryan and Belle were sleeping in the master bedroom. Ryan was on the bed while Belle slept in her usual place at the foot of his bed. They were both woken up by pounding on the front door of the cabin. Ryan was wearing a white t-shirt and blue boxer shorts. He jumped out of the bed, "What the hell..." He went downstairs as the pounding continued, Belle stayed by his side. He looked down at his dog, "Belle, you stay." Belle sat her butt on the floor and waited to see what was going on. Ryan opened the door and was stunned to see a naked woman, wearing just a pair of black high heels with ankle straps. "What's going on?"

Sara felt as if she had been running for hours, but the truth was it had only been about fifteen minutes. She had been under the illusion that her kidnapper had taken her far from anyone else, but here she was running up to the first house.
Though she had a head start, Sara could see his headlights off in the distance as she was coming up on the first house. She banged on the door knowing that the owner was knocked out and probably wouldn't hear her at first. "Please someone help me, "she yelled just as the door was swinging open to reveal a man who looked completely disheveled.

"Sir you have to help me, there's a man and he kidnapped me. Now he's after me because I ran away. Can I call the police on your phone," Sara hoped the man was kind hearted enough to offer her some assistance.

Ryan took hold of the woman. She looked like a mess. Then heard the noise of a car coming down the road. Then he saw a car starting to come up his driveway. "OK, listen. I will protect you. I need you to go into my bedroom. Upstairs at the end of the hall here. Take my dog with you. Close the door and lock it. Then call 911." Ryan watched the woman walk upstairs. Then, he waited for the man to come to his door. He was a little scared and hoped the police would come soon. He grabbed a baseball bat and waited.

When there was a knock on the door opened it and said, "Can I help you?"

"Yeah... Has a naked woman come to your door? I dared my girlfriend to run naked through the woods and she didn't show up at the meeting point."

I looked at the guys eyes, they were bloodshot, "According to her she was kidnapped." I said.

"She's a liar, we were having a role playing game and she got away..."

"Yeah... well, I don't believe you..."

"Give her to me!"

"Like hell I will!" Ryan then swung the bat and hit the man in the head, knocking him out cold. Ryan found some rope and tied him up until the police arrived not to much later. Ryan explained the situation and they arrested the man. Ryan went to the bedroom door with a female officer. He knocked on the door, "Young lady, there is a police woman that would like to talk to you."

"Please be careful he's very dangerous,"she warned him. Not knowing that he was going to grab a bat. Sara ran up the stairs as best as she could. Her whole body ached and was weary, but she grabbed his house phone and made the call to the police. They were able to track her location from the phone number since she had no clue where she was. She heard the big commotion dowsrairs, but waited until someone came upstairs before moving from the bed.

While waiting Sara grabbed one of the man's white shirts and a pair of sweats that she tied tightly.

"What happened? Is he gone? Is he dead," her eyes were big, the man who took her in had seemed kind. She wasn't sure if he was capable of committing such a violent act like killing someone.

"He's not dead, but he won't be bothering you anytime soon," the officer approached her slowly. "The dispatcher told us your name is Sara. What else can you tell us about what happened?"

Sara hesitated, but she told the them everything. How she had moved to the city after divorcing her abusive ex husband, and how she had thought he was out of her life completely, till he kidnapped.

The officer escorted the woman downstairs to a waiting ambulance. The detectives took his statement. The police wanted to give him recognition for saving her life. But he didn't want to be hounded by the press, so he asked them not to mention his name. They agreed, then he went up stairs and went to sleep.

The next day, Ryan had practically put the whole incident behind him. There was a mention of the woman on the news but they didn't mention her name. He was home getting ready to make dinner, when he heard his doorbell ring. He opened the door and saw a very attractive brown haired woman wearing what looked like business suit, standing at his door. "Yes? Can I help you?"

Thee next twelve hours was a whirlwind of events for Sara, getting back to her home, getting her locks change, all the big things that needed to be done. There was one thing that really need to be handled, so after finishing her errands, she got dressed and headed back to her hero's home.

She didn't know the address, but she remembered the way. It didn't take him long to open the door, but he looked completely surprised. "I know you're proba lyrics this k what the heck am I doing here, but I didn't get the chance to thank you, last night. He would have done such awful things if he had caught me. If there's anything at all I can do to repay your kindness, let me know,"she tried to sound as sincere as she could.

As she spoke Ryan realized, she was the woman he saved the night before he said, "Oh, of course... It wasn't any trouble... I must say... You look a lot different with clothes on." He smiled... "I was just about to throw some steaks on the grill... How about you have dinner with me and we can talk about what you could do to thank me..." Ryan had an idea of what he would like for her to do to repay him but after what happened to her the previous night, he knew she wouldn't go for it, "My name's Ryan, by the way..."

Sara felt her cheek heat up at his first statement, of course he wouldn't recognize her now that she was cleaned and clothed. She hadn't recognized herself either, when she looked in the mirror. Then he was offering to cook her dinner, could she really accept it after everything. "I wouldn't mind having dinner with you, its just that I wanted to do something for you. If you were to make me dinner, it wouldn't really be me repaying you," she followed him inside.

"I know, the officer told me. Even though you didn't want any recognition. My name is Sara."

"I know... but dinner is just for us to talk about what you could do to thank me" said Ryan. The living room was tastefully decorated, a flat screen TV, fireplace, a couple of couches and a few area rugs. Then he took her into the kitchen. Ryan's dog Belle came up to Sara and brushed up against Sara's leg wagging her tail, "This is my dog, Belle, I raised her since she was a puppy... She helped me get through a tough time 5 years ago..."

Ryan took Sara into the kitchen. It looked very modern. There were oak cabinets all around. There was a large stainless steel refrigerator and a stainless steel double wall oven next to the door that lead to the laundry room and stainless steel dishwasher by the sink. The counter tops were all black marble. Ryan was standing at the island in the center of the kitchen. There was a cook top, a griddle and a grill. There was a bar on the other side of the island with a couple of stools. He pulled out a stool for her, "Would you like something to drink? Water? Soda? Wine?"

Belle followed her to her stool and stood by her side. "I don't need protection any more, sweet girl," she smiled down at Belle and scratched her head till she turned over to reveal her belly.

"After everything, I could really go for some wine," she admitted mournfully. She wasn't much of a drinker, but tonight she needed something to help her forget the plights of yesterday. She hoped that a few drinks with Ryan and dinner would do the trick, because she couldn't imagine going back to her empty apartment right now. Even with the few security improvements she made today, she still did not feel safe being there alone. That was the real reason she had ran to Ryan's, she didn't really want to be alone tonight.

With her glass of wine in hand. "You're lucky you have Belle. After last night, I feel like I need someone to keep me company at home. Maybe I should look into getting a dog. I mean, you said she really helped you through your hard times."

Ryan turned on the grill and opened a bottle of red wine. He poured them each a glass. "Yes," said Ryan, "She did..." Ryan took a drink, "I lost my wife in a terrible car accident 5 years ago. I was lost with out her. I sold the business I owned to my partners and I moved up her to our vacation cabin. I was very lonley so I went to the pound and I laid eyes on Belle... She was perfect and we've been together ever since."

"I didn't mean to dredge up any hard memories. I'm sorry if I seemed invase," she quickly took a sip of her wine. She really hadn't meant to prod through his life, she hoped he would forgive her. "At least you found Belle, she such a pretty little thing."

His wife died five years ago, she couldn't help but wonder had he moved on. "Have you sated at all since the passing of your wife?"

"Don't be sorry," said Ryan, "It's one bad memory out of a lifetime of good..." Ryan walked over to the fridge and got out a couple of steaks. He sprinkled some salt and pepper on them and put them on the grill. When she asked if he dated since his wife pasted he said, "No... It's been just me and Belle since Annabelle passed... That's actually what I wanted to talk to you about..."

She had been unclear of his intentions before, inviting her in for dinner, being so kind to her. Now, it all made sense. "Why I don't think I have much to offer you. I'm boring, all I do is go to work a nd the gym."

The more she thought about it, she was slowly opening changing up her opinion on him, and the idea of them together." What was it that you were thinking of?"

Ryan flipped the steaks, "It's been a long time since I've been with a woman. Annabelle and I were husband and wife but we had a special relationship. She was my slave and I was her master... I would like for you to be my slave this weekend..."

Sara knew her eyes grew bigger as she stared at the man across from her. You would think after what she had been through the day before, that he wouldn't have the ball to say such a thing directed at her. She just shook her head slightly, trying to find the words to respond to him," I'm not sure what gave you the impression I was in to such things, but I am not. Just because that worked for you and your wife, what made you think I would agree to such a thing?"

Ryan nodded, "I'm sorry... please forgive me... You said you wanted to thank me for saving you and for some reason that was the first thing that came to my mind..." He knew he shouldn't have brought it up, "If you wanted to leave now, I wouldn't blame you..." the buzzer on his oven went off. He walked over to it and took out a pan of oven roasted potatoes.

She took a moment to think about whether to stay or not, she could sense that he was a genuinely nice guy, and she had said that she would do anything to thank him. But, what he was asking was quite an extreme offer. "I know you weren't trying to purposely offend me, I was just shocked. I will stay for dinner, because I see you are making us quite a nice spread," dinner did look delicous. There was also this small part if her that didn't want to cook dinner and it was getting late.

Ryan smiled, "Great..." He dumped the potatoes into a dish and he took the steaks off the grill. He went over to the fridge and got out a store bought bag of salad and dumped it into a dish. He took out a bottle of ranch dressing and a bottle of french dressing. Then he set a plate in front of her and some silverware then he placed a steak on he plate, "here you are..."

"Thank you, I really do appreciate all you've don't for me in the last day. First, saving me , allowing me into your home, and now you're cooking a meal for me. Truthfully, I should be cooking for you," she drank the rest of her wine. She poured some dressing on her salad and starred sampling the things on her place. "It's nice to meet a man who can cook, what else do you dabble in."

Ryan smiled, when she thanked him for everything that he did for he. "It's no problem..." he said, "If Annabelle was here she would have given you the nightgown off her back last night." When she mentioned that it was nice to meet a man who could cook and asked what else he dabbled in. He said, "Thank you... I don't do too much. I do some work outside, I check my investments, I watch TV... I also love to travel..."

Ryan was proving to be a very interesting man, where was he all those years ago before she met her ex husband. "Hmm travel, I've imagined you've been to some really interesting places. I didn't get to travel much, Charles never let me go much of anywhere. It would be nice to do something like that soon," she had thought about traveling since the divorce but had been too scared. She poured a little bit more wine in her cup. It wasn't too much longer before that was sipped down, too. "You're such a great cook, sir."

Ryan smiled, "I have been to some great places... the UK, Australia, New Zeland, Norway... Walt Disney World..." When she complemented his cooking he said, "Thank you. I don't get the chance to cook for other people too often..." Soon, dinner was over and the dishes were in the dishwasher, "Well, Sara, it's been nice having you for dinner... If you ever need a weekend away from everything, Belle and I would be happy to have you..." He wished that she would have taken him up on his offer. He was starting to fall for the young woman.

"Maybe we can do this again, really soon," she had really enjoyed herself, and guessing from his constant smiles Ryan had really enjoyed himself as well. Sara had just about completely forgot about his offer, it had offended her but he was so charming she was able to look pass it all. "Would you want to do something tomorrow, you're such great company, and who wants to spend their Sunday cooped up in the house all alone. It would be fun."

Ryan smiled,"That would be great... I'd love to spend the day with you... Hey bring your swimming suit... I have a nice little pond in the woods here. And, if you want you could make us dinner. Sound good?"
