I know few participate in group role-plays, I myself being one who indulges on occasion... however, I really would love to be in a role-play with other players such as myself, who is semi-literate. Thus, I will propose a few ideas and see where this leads. Sound good? Alright, here we go!

Idea #1: But I Love You

╔════════════════════════════════════════╗

♥ ʅ σ ʋ ҽ ♥ never fails...

but people do . . .

╚════════════════════════════════════════╝

At least, that's what the legislation says. And what have we to believe in, if not the grown-ups?

╺❖╸╺❖╸╺❖╸╺❖╸╺❖╸╺❖╸╺❖╸

By the year 3000, humankind had long since rectified all the faults it could identify and had come as close to the epitome of a human as they could possibly come through gnomes modified, genetics braided, and embryos selected. Every human became as beautiful, strong, and intelligent as the next. Career choices were easy because not only were they assigned by aptitude, but also provided "pro bono" to each student. Even emotions were studied extensively and could be created or banished at will.

Human society was climbing the highest mountain to the peak. But there was only one thing that was holding them back:ℓσνε.

And so, they fixed that too.

╺❖╸╺❖╸╺❖╸╺❖╸╺❖╸╺❖╸╺❖╸

In contemporary society, pairs are not born of traitorous human emotion, or of unreliable coincidence. Instead, they are chosen, at birth, by a very well-defined, meticulous process. Each child is then programmed with a mix of hormones and recognition to make the entire process much, much easier.

ℓσνε is now a formula.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

::The Premise::
The world is perfect. People live in the clouds. Education is free. Healthcare is complementary. And ℓσνε is already chosen for you.

All in all, it's a pretty good system. There still remains a good amount of free will, but much of life is a predetermined suggestion.

✖ ☷ ✖ ☷ ✖ ☷ ✖ ☷ ✖ ☷ ✖

In this roleplay, each character has a destined partner. These pairs will be defined at the beginning of the roleplay, chosen by me and a randomization table, but will not be known by the characters. They simply have an undefinable attraction to certain people.

During the course of the roleplay, we will focus on a single generation of young adults, away at college and awaiting that attraction that they have heard about in bedtime stories and schoolhouse gossip.

But, dismissive of these ridiculous ideas of destiny and мєαηт тσ вє, three friends disrupt a successive chain of predestined pairs. The resulting entanglement is only the beginning.

Idea #2: The Masquerade

In the future, the USA is now a constitutional monarchy. Why, you may ask? Well, it kept ending up that Republicans and Democrats would clash. First, there would be a Republican congress and a Democratic president, then the tables would flip. Laws couldn't get passed, and things weren't working out for the United States. So, the nation transformed into a morphed constitutional monarchy, with one parliament, still called congress, split into three parts for checks and balances.

Over time, the entire United States changed. Instead of states, there were twenty two districts, much easier to split the number of state-like divisions in a little more than half. The cities are still the same, and states still relatively exist. Cultures are a little more mixed, and so is, well, everything else.

The biggest change came only with the royal family. Or more specifically, the death of the King. The Queen took over, wallowing in her new widow status. Instead of being sad, she grew angry. And that was the birth of the Masquerade.

Once a year, an extravagant masquerade is held. This is a place where you can find love, revel in ecstasy, try new influence patches (freshest on the market), fool around, and have fun. It lasts a whole week, and although you can't leave, almost none want to. Since the Queen is widowed, she is bitter. So, all those that by the end of the week don't have a partner of love, will be killed. The masquerade for the year, one of the biggest events of the country, is about to begin.

So, what will happen to you?

Idea #3: Worlds Collide

Nobody thinks twice about the stories they read as a child. The fact that Robin Hood got married to Marian, that the six swan prince got stuck with a wing for an arm- none of that is questioned, and the term 'They Lived Happily Ever After' is stamped unto the page like a permanent seal of approval.

But what if that really wasn't the end?

And what if everyone's favorite fairytale characters... were actually real?

In an alternate universe, the Kingdom of Avelia is such a place where the fictional comes to life.

All the citizenry has a ancestral story that binds them to a given role in Avelia, although most of the stories for every family are traced back to a common ancestor (More on Roles will be explained later). Much of these stories are what we call "fairytales" in our world, leaked through the passages of time and space by mere cosmic coincidence. Now, the stories as we tell it are not exactly... accurate. Much of the bloody and unsavory details have been nullified to suit younger audiences, although the Grimm Brothers- the ones who first received the unique "story ideas"- had a more tighter hold on the truth. Robin Hood, for example, was certainly a rebel of epic proportions- but he was the one who led raids against the nobles and royalty of the Kingdom of Avelia during the Great Wars. There was no Marian, even though he did eventually marry and settle into the countryside after the war was settled.

Most of the stories that each family carries actually come from the daring adventures around the Great Wars time period. The Great Wars were an awful ordeal that shook Avelia to its core. They were basically a series of battles emerging because of conflicts of interest between the well-off and the common paupers, as taxes were raised and a darker force began to manipulate the strings behind their government. They finally ended when a series of agreements and treaties between the two factions were settled and a few arranged marriages carried out. But this darker force behind the monarchy disappeared as its source of power- the chaos of the wars- subsided into an uneasy peace. Some speculate that it is simply hiding itself and building strength as it awaits the opportune time to strike again...

Now decades after the Great Wars, the Kingdom of Avelia has evolved into something of a constitutional monarchy and the general population has settled into the rhythm of a sleepy, somewhat normal existence. Its almost Medieval setting has flourished into an active network prosperity in agriculture and commerce amongst the towns on the lone continent of Gaea, and the descendants of the old Heroes are active reminders of the stories that shape their positions in life.

But nothing good lasts forever.

For whatever reason- a small ripple in space connected the universes of Avelia and Earth for mere seconds, in one given place. Why would this matter? Well, something slipped through this gap just as it opened. It was just a random ripple, something that could have blipped into existence and zipped back closed with no significant translation of matter except for bits of grass or a sudden breeze. But something much larger than a blade of grass passed through during those mere seconds of existence.

A person from Earth slipped through the tear into Avelia.

Idea #4

Gypsies.

Known for their song, dance, thievery and nomadic tendencies. They seem to have one foot in each world: the tangible world, nature and the unseen world, the mystical. Legend has it that gypsies are not entirely of this world and forever roam the surface of the earth seeking where they truly belong. Skilled, cunning, passionate and hardy: they aren't common, but luck will find you if you cross paths with them. What sort of luck follows is up to fate.

In a land where gypsies are looked down upon (like pirates of the land) being born a gypsy sets you apart from society. Even though you have your clan or caravan, your chances of being anything other than 'just a gypsy' are far and few between. For as long as anyone can remember though, the gypsies have been both a pleasure and risk to host in one's village. They bring with them exotic goods from all across the lands and entertainment fit for foreign kings. But they rarely leave everything just as it was before they arrived.
Gypsies however, outside of mages and warlocks, are suspected to be the only humanoid beings who can wield magic. This of course have never been proven but it has suddenly caught the attention of a new king. Seeking to build his power and kingdom (and due to a affinity for alchemy), the King has sent out 'gathers' to pluck up gypsies with mysterious reputations, or any deemed 'extraordinary'. By bringing them together he hopes to tap into some hidden magic or power that would not only bring prosperity to his country, but perhaps end the bullying and battering of more powerful surrounding kingdoms.

Idea #5: The Coven of Marren

You will either be roleplaying as a member of the vampire Coven or as a human who takes part in the daily routine of the Coven, primarily as a consensual “feeder”. The Coven of Marren has successfully resided on the outskirts of Montana forest, undetected for centuries. Although wild rumors have stirred up among the townies about the introverted “family” that call a Victorian mansion home, none of the humans have questioned their presence. However, a series of brutal murders victimizing several townspeople threaten the Coven’s peaceful existence. To the human investigators, it is the work of a sadistic serial killer. But the illusion will not last for long. Victims have been piling up with multiple puncture wounds along the main arteries, their bodies drained of blood. It is obviously the work of a vampire, and worse yet, one of the Coven. But who? Tensions run high among the members of the Coven, and the Elder seeks to uproot the vampire that has gone rouge. Worse yet, fingers have started pointing at the mysterious residents of the secluded mansion. Will the Coven manage to maintain a peaceful existence, or will they be forced to flee? And how many more innocent townies will have to die before the existence of the Coven is leaked to the public?

Idea #6: The Pyramid Wars

For eons Werewolves and Walkers have been on edge with each other. The two mythical races have watched each other closely but have rarely come in contact. Now, in the most recent decade a new and powerful werewolf Pack has claimed the Montana Forrest as home, uprooting the solitary Walkers who have resided on the sacred land for centuries. Now the Walkers and Werewolves are closer than ever, and tension is rising.

The Werewolves live together in a Pack, while the Walkers remain scattered among the forest. Many of the solitary Walkers made a pact with the Pack for each race to mind their own business. The Pact held years of peace, until one night the Alpha sent a Loner to complete a mission that had the potential to jeopardize the Peace.

Unknown to many Walkers, especially in the United States, a Walker Tribe has made a claim to the territory across the sea in England. The Leader and most powerful Walker known, Raikov, led the Tribe. In his possession was the Pyramid, a small golden pyramid block with a rich blue base that rippled like water and could fit in the palm of a hand. It was an object older than both the Walkers and Werewolves themselves, created by the hands of the Fae. It had an influence over the Shifting, it gave the possessor as well as everyone with their Race the ability for a fluid, painless shift from human to animal as well as more speed and strength. Because Raikov held this powerful object, all the Walkers had these special enhances. However the loner, Lukir, had successfully retrieved this stolen object and brought it back to the heart of the Montana Pack.

War is on the horizon. Raikov has come to the United States, seeking vengeance against the Pack who dared to steal the Pyramid. Now that the Werewolves have the Pyramid, all the Walkers are experiencing mind jarring pain in their shifts while the Werewolves are enjoying its luxury. But was it worth it?

Raikov is gathering a new Tribe of Walkers to train, confront, and defeat the Montana Pack. Will you, a Walker who has for years lived a solitary life, join Raikov’s Tribe to take back the Pyramid? Or perhaps you are a Werewolf, living under August’s law and protecting the Pyramid? Both sides are sharpening claws for War, and only one side will come out as victor.

I would be up for idea 1,2, 3 or 4 I will toss in a couple or few characters to help if need be.
