A fantasy/medieval quest
(First of, please remember that this idea is very rough and certainly not the finished article! In fact it has been stripped down and pulled apart several times!)
Setting – light-medium fantasy medieval period
MC has served the realm for over a decade, starting when he was just a youth barely able of growing a wispy fluff of a beard. But now, despite leading the young Queen’s army to victory over warring tribes, he was cast away, shunned. Labelled a heathen, a godless man with no morals, he was no longer welcome in the Queen's army, let alone as one of her protectors and advisors. The priests had done their part, whispering in the ears of the Queen and her advisors. They claimed a man that didn’t worship their gods could not be trusted. That an unmarried man who shared with forest nymphs and serving wenches was unfit to advise and protect her. That he was evil, adulterous, lustful and deceitful.
But it’s was they who are deceitful. It was true that he was adulterous and lustful, lascivious even. But none that had never stopped him from doing his duty and he had done it since the Queen was a child too young to rule.
Now, an outcast travelling through back roads and small villages, he has sworn an oath to himself promising never to rest until he can remove the dirty priests from their position of office and advisors to the Queen.
Essentially he will be drifting from one village to another in search allies or an ally powerful enough to assist him. Where he goes, what he does, who he meets etc is completely open for discussion
MC:
· late twenties, a tall, strong with long blonde hair, thick beard and blue eyes
· muscular warrior skilled with sword, shield and axe.
· intelligent, with a gift of being able to read and lead people instinctively.
· Alpha male (more likely to take charge and be physical) and rather lascivious – he’s never taken a wife and finds monogamy far less attractive than polygamy
