It had all started a month ago but today Victoria Justice was about to start what had to be the oddest piece of research she'd ever done for a role. The intial meeting she had with her manager had been strange but she was forced to admit that her manager was right and that at the age of 22 the window for her to be taken seriously and make a huge name for herself was closing. The reason that the script was being held back when she met with both her manager and one of the show's producers. The producer explained that the show was being developed in as near to total secrecy as they could, which meant that the pilot script wasn't allowed out of his possesion and then he went to explain why. "You see Victoria the show is a little bit different, and we expect that difference to turn into massive ratings. Now the working title for the show is 'Innocent Angel' but it's about an adult film company." The producer had paused to let the news sink in and to make sure Victoria did run out of the room "Now, yes there will be lots of skin and sex in the show but we're more interested in showing the lives and stories of people involved in the adult film business when the camera isn't on. Think of it this way when an adult film director would call 'action' is when we stop." The producer explained that they thought that Victoria would be a great fit for one of the shows female leads and but were a little surprised when her manager had agreed to the meeting, the producer then handed over the script and pointed out the role of Sammie that they thought she'd be perfect for, her manager and producer then left alone in the office of a little while to read the script. Much to her surprise Victoria found that the writing was incredibly good and sure there were a few shots that called for the actors to walk butt naked off a fake porn set but there was no over explicit scenes. There was one objection that Victoria had that she brought up with the producer when he came back into the office.
"Really? You're sure that you want the role of Jessica? It's just that Jessica is a bit more of a hardcore character." The way they had been written Sammie was a sweet high school drop out who fell into the adult business and is still a little naieve but Jessica went into porn with her eyes open and there very little she wouldn't do on camera, a much edgier role which is exactly what Victoria wanted to break away from her image of being just a pretty face.
