Boston was one of her favorite city's Jaina decided. Her brilliant green eyes flickered over to the DJ, who was flipping through cd's for the next song. Pursing her lips, Jaina looked down to her cocktail drink and finished it off. She wasn't one for drinking, but for some reason, the mood struck her tonight. Orginaly, she had came the club with one of her friends for a girls night out.

"Taking off no sooner then we get here."

Jaina growled softly as she straightened and looked over to the dance floor where mass bodies of couples were dancing to this time, a Brad Paisly song. Sense the club was more of a varity, it was one of the most popular in the city. She had tried to keep an eye out for her friend among the dancers, but lost track of her.

"Looks like Im heading home alone again."

Not that it really bothered her as she pushed her dark hair away from her face. The slight natural curls were nice, but she couldn't really do anything to style with it. FOr the most part, Jain kept it down to lay across her shoulders and back.

The gentle mist of the Boston evening came off with the coat at the back door of the club. He did not own the establishment, no, it was owned by a friend, another Triemere like himself. He was happy, almost giddy, not that he showed it plainly at all. He had been given permission from the prince of the city to go hunting for a blood doll. His years of servitude had finally paid off, and now he could reap the rewards.

He was what they called a dog trainer, someone who trained blood dolls for the benefit of other vampires. The sponsor ship for doing this was good, however it had several draw back, and having spent the last 25 years in a state of erotic celibacy had left him hungry. That was going to change soon, and smell of warm copperish blood was think and full in the club.

He stepped out in too the common room, and gained his bearings. The smell of sweat and alcohol is what struck him first, the more subtle smells of perfume and cologne, drugs, and.... He smiled when the mild hints of female arousal struck his tongue. But they were not for him. He would not take the easy low meat. He idled to the bar, the best place to start his search, or at least the most logical place.

"A Vodka on the rocks..." He motioned to the bar tender, taking in the sights of the evening. There were several prospects, some dancing some alone, two of them at the bar. One however stood out in his sulking, the wafts of alcohol not in the least covering the tempting scent of her flesh, and the liquid bliss underneath.

"I've been watching you for a while. Care to dance?"

Jaina snapped her head up to see the next pest in rotation. Pest number six was dressed in black leather in the attempt to gain attention from the females. He smelled of cigar smoke and boo's. Jaina rolled her eyes, knowing that it wasn't just a dance he wanted.

"No thank you. I'm fine sitting here."

She gave a polite smile and waited for him to leave or say something. It wasn't that she wasn't not intrested in men, or dating. More so that she wasn't ready for a relationship just yet. The memories of the past were still too much for her. It had been only a year sense she had mmanged to make a new life. A year, and she still sometimes looked over her shoulder to see if the boogie man was still following.

"You don't know what your missing doll face. I could show you a good time."

A frown crossed Losif's face, as he saw the puke of a excuse for a meat bag talking to the girl. She looked like she was handling it fine, and the man would have to be an imbecile to try and assault her or force her to his will here. But his breath was fowl, and it looked like he was just on the edge of passing out from the amount of Jack Daniels operating his braincells. She however was a nice contrast to the worthless piss-ant. The denim jeans the fit tight to her body along with the wife beater tank-top, than invited the eyes, but were also not exactly "clubbing gear". She was not hear to get laid or have any other sort of good time, she was hear for particular company. Her heavy brown coat with the thick furry billowing out hinted that she may be leaving soon, especially if the weather got any worse.

Losif frowned, and closed his eyes. Once again he began to hate himself, how meticulously he was picking apart the situation in front of him, ' this is why I am good at my job, because I understand, I can look and see what is actually happening, and I hate myself for it.'

He looked back to the girl, she was the one he wanted, she was, reserved and not willing to take even the best of what this club was offering. She was not sober either, which spoke in her favor. She was the best thing this club had to offer almost hands down... The thought of that fact began to make him salivate, his canines begging to rip into the soft sensuous flesh of her body, and slowly drink her dry.

Lets see how the little girl handles the punk, then we will make our move, see if she rates as highly as I think.

Ok, it was obvious that the man was dull enough that simple speech wasn't going to be enough. Jaina didn't know why the pests liked her so much. Another reason why she had left her past behind. So, now it was plan B.

"Look, I know you think you're the hottest thing here. So the concept of 'No' must be really hard for you."

Jaina replied to the man as she stood up to him. No longer did she have a weak backbone, and was tired of having her life being twisted by morons.

"Look ya little bitch. You don't know who your messing with."

"No, I don't. But Im sure theres other willing women here ready to spread their legs for you. No leave me alone before I go to the security." Jaina snapped. Ignoring the brutal comment from the guy. SHe was amused when he tried to say something else and then just turned and stomped off.

As the whelp stomped by Losif pulled deftly put a scratch and sniff sticker on the back of his leather jacket...cherry smelling. It was a code, a clever one that marked him as a meal for any vampire willing to risk hunting humans. Most vampires would give anything for a hot blood fresh from the tap of someone's neck, even a piece of shit like him. He just had his death certificate signed and dated, to be killed by some night stalker... A fitting end in Losif's humble opinion.

Now to the matter at hand, Losif's eyes flashing for the girl. The acts that just transpired would most certainly make her want to leave soon, he needed to move, and quickly if he wanted to have any form or style to the hunt. He stood up, and strolled over, taking a seat next to her, eyeing the back wall as he said, "You tore him down something fowl, you must have a decent bit of practice, " slowly turning to making eye contact, his eyes looking with hers.

As there eyes locked he focused his mind... the trick to dominating or glamouring someone was focusing on what it was, and pushing it with your mind and words alike. He withheld himself for the moment, he needed the opening, or he might draw risk drawing attention if her actions became to odd.

Jaina was about to grabe her things and leave when someone sat down next to her and spoke. Had she been a cat, her ear would have flickered as she turned to look at him. Instantly, she blinked for a moment. The man was handsom and knew it in the way he positioned himself.

"Yea, I have some practice."

She spoke cautiously, locking her eyes to his. He wasn't drunk, and yet he was showing respect for her. at least for the moment as she looked away to grabe her purse. Across the club, she could see several of the guys that she had turned down. They stared at her with their own venom. Yea, it was time to go. Even more now that she was feeling goosebumps along her backside.

He watched her nervousness, and followed her eyes. She felt the tension and anger in the air, the hostile intentions against her. A good quality, she had self preservation in mind, a useful trait in any game.

He drew are attention again, locking eyes, and she pushed the thought in her head.
YOU WANT ME TO ESCORT YOU OUT AND TAKE YOU HOME.

His voice said something different however, very subtle and alluding, "You look like you have quite party, perhaps I can show you a safer way out... unless you feel safe on your own."

He felt secure in the glamour he had performed, she had made total eye contact, there was no reason why it should not take. Before tonight end she would be eating out of his hand...and he would be eating off her anywhere he pleased. A smile, while slight, emerged on his face, as he already assumed victory, his mind already planning ahead, to the joys of this evening soon to come.

Everything would work out as planned, that is just how things went.

There was a smile playing on her lips as he spoke to her. He was being nice and Jaina had no reason not to be friendly back. With the change of music to a much more sexy pop dance she decided to stay for a moment longer. The weather was getting worse by the sound of the wind blowing against the building. Streaching her arms above her head in a streach she gave a shake of her head.

"I appreciate the offer, but I only live a few short blocks away. It's just past the park."

She resisted the urge to say she was a big girl and could walk home, but didn't. besides, she wasn't the type to just let a stranger she just met to kno where she lived. Letting out a yawn, she placed her hands back to lay on the marble slab counter.

"It's nice to meet you though."

He smiled politely as everything he had felt so secure in crumbled around him. She had resisted... how had she resisted? He had made eye contact, he had done everything perfectly as much as he could figure, there was nothing preventing him from dominating. HIs mind raced for half a second, stalling out before composing itself.

Control, it was all about control, without control he had nothing, he had to get composed and regain control of the situation.

His smile became more sincere, as he nodded, "Well, am glad then, the weather is getting nasty." He began to replot his moves. The thugs at the door were planning something, that much was obvious, probably even to her. She may be able to run, she may even be packing mace or something with a little more heat to it. But they had numbers and a lack of rational thought, one of them dying would mean they would just be that much more angry, if he let her walk out, she would wake up in a gutter with a broken leg, raped, and probably bleeding out at best.

However he would not let that happen, he would let them get close, get her to feel scared and violated, then save her. She would open up and hand herself to him... almost textbook, but then again, she had already proven herself different once tonight, he needed to stay on edge.

"Either way, be safe." he said, taking in a deep sniff of her sweet scent and memorizing it. He need to be able to track her, and it was doubtful she would leave him breadcrumbs to follow.

"Thank you."

Jaina smiled, wrapped herself up in the coat and B-lined straight to the front door. Though, she wasn't stupid and thus asked one of the bouncers not to let the men leave for a couple minutes. Stepping outside, was almost like being slammed in the face by a door. The wind had picked up to a dull howl and, promised to only get worse. It was a sign that winter was fast approaching as she tucked her head low and started the brisk walk down the sidewalk.

Being carefull to stay in the light until she rounded the corner and some of the lights flickered and died. The only thing she feared now, was the wind knocking her around as her face started to go amost numb. Next time I am taking the cab. Jaina made it to the park and the trees howled as the wind screeched through the tops. The shadows of the trees danced ont he sidewalk, making it erie. Halfway through she felt the back of her kneck tingle and she turned to look behind her...

CRACK!!!

"Remember me Bitch?"

Jaina went down onto the paved sidewalk. Slamming her head back as pain laced her eyesite. Not enough as she could see who her assiliant was, and he wasn't alone. She streached and tried to reach for her purse and her mace. Only to be kicked in the stomach as her head spun with pain...

He watched her leave, a slight sting of pity running through him, though it dead as fast as it was born. There was no place in his body for pity, pity make you weak and given in. There was no room of a weak person right now. He watched the thugs leave, next, not even two minutes after her. The bouncer did not stop them, or at least not after the twenty dollar bill was slipped into his hand. After that he was all smiles, even opened the door for the drunk bastards.

He was out the door 37 seconds after them, strolling along silently. Shadowing them was not hard, they were drunk, and he new how to blend into the darkness, it was natural almost instinctive. The night was his birth mother, and he new how to suckle the nipple of the darkness like a babe new how to drink from its mother's tit. He felt the gun in his pocket, a .357 revolver meant to keep the stupid people at bay. Displaying his true power was reserved for much more dangerous situations, and at the moment, the 6 gangbangers did not merit that sort of action.

He saw the first one kick out her knee, and watched her hit the ground in the rain. The kick to the stomach was brutal, it would almost assuredly bruise and perhaps scar. He stayed back, he needed her to the proper opening, the realization of how helpless she truly is at the moment. He would save her, but she had to know she needed his help first, or else this would all be for not.

"Not so mouthy now are you?"

There was a ring of laughter as she sucked in painfull breaths of air. She was sure a rib was bruised or broken as she struggled to try and fight back. Jaina felt a pair of rough hands lift her up by the shoulders. They started to move into the wodded area of the park and she opened her mouth to scream for help. Surly, someone would hear her voice carried by the wind? She was backhanded . Making her head pound harder, and stomach lurch. The pain was so intense that she puked and was slapped again.

"Now, now, little whore. We don't need that."

"F-Fuck you."

Jaina spat at the man as another reached to fondle her breasts.

"Not yet, but that will happen."

Laughter and he hit her again. This time she felt her lip sting and moments later she tasted blood. Her blood, and from the way things were going, she was going to end up dead in the dumpster by morning. She should have stayed with the nicer man at the club after all...

There was a loud crack, sharp and crisp, even in the windy weather, and a flash of light to join it. The man holding Jaina tensed when went limp, his knees buckling as his body gave out, falling down, his eyes slowly voiding out into death, as he hit the ground. The others turned to see the source of the noise, the now all to obvious gun shot. The more sobers ones ran instantly, there was no need to risk being the next one dead. The last last one, the one he marked earlier, the one who had caused him this trouble and yet this golden opportunity stood in front of him dumb founded and all by himself.

Losif walked toward him, looking eyes, hypnotizing him with his gaze. He was like a dear in headlights, frozen until the car hit him. The pistol slapping into his temple was the only thing that broke the link, and sent the thug into the ground. She was sick and disoriented, and probably not paying much attention to what exactly just happened, and the urge struck him to take a light snack on the thug.

He tempered himself however...he would not soil his appetite with box wine or vinegar...no, he was looking forward to the aged and savored wine to come. He looked over to the girl, and slowly edged over, pulling the dead body the was slumped over her off: "I told you it would be rough weather tonight..."

Jaina was aware of being released from the paws that held her. Thankfully, the earthy ground didn't hurt as much when she fell. It still hurt to breath and move as she tried to force herself to crawl away to get help. She was a strong women. She wasn't weak. Not anymore. Yet, the vault int he back of her mind cracked and released memories she didn't want.

Things that tormented her and made her run. She could see him before her. Daniel. The man that she thought was perfect, turned out to be her living hell. Then the face vanished as powerfull arms copped her up. Craddleing her almost lovengly as she tried to focus her eyes onto her savior. Jaina wasn't even aware of how he managed to stop the drunk bastards, and didn't care when he spoke. His words were to her, the best thing she heard all night. Trying to make her feel better she understood what he said and let out a painfull laugh to prove she was tough.

"Yea.. It was... Thanks...."

Feeling him move she let her eyes close to keep her head from swimming anf the pain level down as much as she could. He could tell however that they had fractured her skull and possibly had internal injuries.

"I.. I can get home..."

She tired to move, and couldn't as her body protested. Jaina was still trying to prove she wasn't a weak women and that her injuries wern't bad. A little blood still lingered on her swollen lips from where the thugs beat her. It was then that she couldn't fight her body any longer and let the darkness that was tugging at the end of her vision to claim her.

"I am sure you could, but I don't think I should let you..." He said, his voice low and comforting, the sort of deep rumbling comfort only a male voice could give, like the ocean waves across the rocks.

Once again the stings of pity struck him. He frowned his eyes growing soft as he began to think of the future. She was strong and determined, she would fight the world if it meant breathing one more second... and would soon rob her of that, she was strong and beautiful, and in the near future she would at best be a shadow of her former self. The last shreds of humanity in him cried at that moment... the rest of him malevolently smiled at the thought.

He slid his arms and picked up her svelte body with ease, though for someone who could easily overturn a car if prompted to, a woman's weight was no burden. The weather began to pick up one more, the rain ceasing to be a mist and began to turn to a cold shower, the wind a bitter howl. He needed to get her somewhere safe and dry soon, or she would catch hypothermia or worse, something he was not prepared to deal with.

He began at a trot but soon began to run with her in his arms. HIs house was farther way, but it was the only haven he trusted to hold her and him, and have the things he needed progress his cause. It was a 3 block run up hill to the gated community of north dubshire. His house was the smallest of the Mansions of the elite the stayed here, his suite only 21 rooms withe meager double basement. His peers scoffed at him, and those mortals who had seen it glared with envy at all he had.

Losif with care opened the door to his house, the shut out the bitter night behind him. He like many vampires believe and new the power of omen and the will of their protecter. The night was not happy, but he did not care, for he had gained his prize. He set her in front of the of the hearth in the living room, and lit a fire, something stoked and warm. He then fetched towels and blankets. His deft hands undressed her shamelessly, slowly stripping her nude and exposed though his eyes saw nothing that drew them in, like a doctor looking at a patient, she was nothing more than something needing his attention and care. HIs care she got, as he dried her as gently as he could without risking waking her, then wrapping her in blankets. He folded her clothes and set them by the hearth to dry. The night would be long, and she would not awake anytime soon. Perhaps at the earliest sometime in the afternoon of tomorrow. He would be asleep then, and she would not be able to wake him....

He needed to mark her, to hook her to his will, as much as he disliked the idea, he would have to ghoul her. He was hoping to save this for later, but he could not risk letting all his work go in vain. He pulled out a night and slit his thumb open, cutting deep. The blood began to flow freely, the deep crimson streaming from his finger. He knelt down slowly, setting his bleeding thumb gently against her tongue, then waited. He would stop bleedly soon, but she would ingest enough for it to take affect. She would be safe, she would not fall ill, and she would be marked as his...And only his.

Blessed darkness was all Rue could see and feel. There was no pain as long as she was like this. Part of her didn't want to ever leave the calm it gave her. Such a long time where things were just as simple. No pain. No fear. Just a peace that she hadn't had the luxery of having. So it was when the first feeling came back, that Rue started to wake. Her tongue had laped at something salty and metalic. Yet, she couldn't fight it as she swallowed and fell back into the comort of the night.

The morning soon came and then left as the wind outside howled. Rain battered the house as if trying to get in. All through the day RUe slept through it. Oblivious to what was going on until early evening. By then the fire had died down to just red hot embers and she started to stir. Rue slowly opened her eyes and found she coudln't see as well. Her vision was still blurry, but she was warm in the blankets that wrapped around her. it only took a moment before she rememberd what had happened to her, and who had saved her. It made her head start to throb, but thankfully, it didn't hurt as bad as before. The next question was where was she at? It wasn't a hospital, otherwise she would have smelled the antiseptic of a clean hosptial room and clicking of machines. Trying to sit up, RUe closed her eyes and then realised she was naked under the warm blankets.

Waking up from the clutches of death is not the most pleasant experience in the world. Your eyes jerk open and for a moment you feel like your being asphyxiated, that you are being gagged or strangled, unable to draw breath. it is the moments later when you remember that you have not drawn breath for over 400 years that what fluttering of panic is left in your heart stops and draws still once more.

Dusk, the magic hour some called it... Magic perhaps, but not for the reason anyone thought. He stepped out of the bed, not daring to open the blinds. A beautiful sunrise or even a sunset was something forbidden to him now. He gathered some clothing, slacks and a button up shirt, and dressed slowly, not bothering with socks for cleaning himself up, he had more pressing matters at the moment. He stepped out and began to make his way downstairs to the living room, as the sun began to finally fade to black.

As he stepped into the living room he felt her stir, she was awake at least, which was good news: "So are you feeling any better after last night?"

Jaina looked over to see the man from the club. The man that had saved her from horrors she didn't want to think about. Part of her wanted to ask why he undressed her, but the answer was already clear. Her clothes would have been wet and made her sick on top of injured. She was at least gratefull that he didnt' take her to a hospital.

"Better. Thank you."

She whispered and looked up into his eyes. They seemd cool and unbidden from any sort of trickery.

He smiled and slowly strolled to a chair to face her, taking to slow and careful, letting her now where was going, so that she could cover herself or act however she felt was proper. He turned slowly to face her and took his seat, a warm smile on his face as he kept his yes locked with hers.

"Better is a good start, though I did what I could to stop the bleeding, though all in all it appears to all have been pretty minor, save for perhaps a mild concision. You will have to tell me if you are bruising anywhere else....though I can look for you if you wish, but I figured it would be polite to ask your permission this time around, I could not afford you that luxury last night." his eyes glowing, the gentle humor warm in his voice.

His stomach spat with bile and anger though, he was hungry, he needed blood and it new what he was looking at, new what was contained under 12 layers of organic tissue. The animal inside him growled at is cage, wanting to be let free to maim, tear, and destroy till it was filled. He blocked it off from his mind, for he could not silence it, the first thing they forced you to do when you were a vampire is control your craving.

The first thing a dog trainer did was make the bitch trust him.

Jaina felt her cheeks redden. Embarressed that he had to look after her when he didn't have to. Yet, he seemed nice enough. Then again, so did the man in her past that was haunting her; looking for her. It was why she was glade he hadn't taken her to a hospital. Jaina knew that he was looking for her and had the means to do it. Being in a hospital would have been a big red becon. Though, she knew if he wanted to hurt her, he had the time to do it while she was passed out. No reason not to let him look her over sense he had before right?

"Well, that might be a good idea. It still hurts breathing and I am afarid to try and look myself."

She admitted to him. Shifting on the sofa, her eyes were clearing and the blurred vision was leaving her. A concussion she could understand as she had a few before. Always ending up int he hospital and having to lie on how she "fell".

"I don't even know your name, and you saved me last night."

He stood up and with a cat's ease moved towards her, then got on his knees, slowly rolling up the sleeves of his shirt as he looked at her and said," I believe the transgression there is mutual, though my name is Losif, Losif Salgonovich. And as for saving you... well we will see how much I have saved you in a moment."

He slowly drew the covers off her, revealing her body to his eyes and hers alike, " I want you to be still and tell me what hurt with In touch it.... though the good news is there is not obvious signs of bruising, " Nor would there ever be while she was drinking his blood. She recover never again suffer for age, sickness, any of the fears that would hold her to the mortal coil. That was not to say she could not die, but nothing but hostile intent or shear stupidity would cause that now.

He laid his ice cold fingers on her warm body and slowly began to rub and feel around, though he was totally civil and polite in the areas he searched. Occasionally he would press in with his fingers then ask "Does that hurt," like any doctor would in this sort of situation. After examining her chest, he moved to her knee, slowly feeling it over and rubbing it, "It does not feel like you have torn or dislocated anything here either, though tell me if it hurts, you may have torn or sprained it, though it looks like you came out luckily unscathed."

He stood up, his sliding briefly in a almost sensual manner up her inner thigh, something that could be easily mistaken for a accident. It was not accident, though he wished to gage how she reacted, his hands slowly drawing the blankets back over her body.

The way he moved when he was before her, made her feel something odd. Even more so as his hands slowly underessed her. Revealing herself in a matter that she hadn't in a very long time. When his cold hands touched her, she jumped and shivered. Letting him know where she hurt as he told her. In the end it was only her right ribs that were sore. More embarressed that she was nue before him, Jaina didn't say anything. FInding her heart racing as his hand stroked her inner thigh. A quick intake of breath and he was covering her back up.

"Losif.."

She shivered under the covers and looked up to him. WHen he touched her, Jaina liked it. He was gentle and his touch seemed to make her relax. In th eback of her mind she knew that she shouldnt. Having just met him, Jaina knew it shouldn't be possible, but she didn't want him to stop.

"Thank you for keeping me here."

"Well I could not let anything happen to you... What was the line from the princess bride ' there is a serious shortage of perfect breasts in the world' " He said, looking at her with a warm smile, sitting next to her on the couch. He locked eyes with her once more, " Sorry if I made you jump, my hands get a bit cold, poor circulation I am told." He said. He saw her jump, and he saw the subtle hints of excitement given off by her body.

She was fighting it though, it seemed her nature to resist everything. But she was weak and malleable, it would only that the right words and the proper movements to have her give in.

"You still have not told me your name?" giving a slightly embarrassed smile now, almost bashful, turning his head. Not that he did not already know it, he had looked at her ID in her wallet, but he would dance for her, play the game, so that it looked like he was as innocent and caring as she wanted to believe.

"Oh! I'm sorry. It's Jaina."

She replied with her own embarresment. Normaly, she didn't not introduce herself to people unless she knew them well. Losif earned that much from her. More even, sense he decided to keep her here. Letting out a sigh, she shifted and winced from the rib pain.

"I'm sorry Losif if I caused you any trouble."

Jaina was lucky that she had taken a vaction from her job. It would give her time to heal and not have to explain to anyone what had happened.

"I probably should leave and get home. I don't want to be a bother to you anymore then I already have. Is there's anyway I can repay you for this?"

Her eyes sparkled in the rooms light as she pulled the blankets closer to herself. However, her eyes spoke a diffrent tune; she wanted to get to know him and normaly she didn't want to get close to anyone.
