Every couple of months, Lillian would watch her best friend Hannah's teenage daughter for a week while she went out of town, sometimes out of state, for work. Well, this was one of those typical deals.

"Good song," Lillian said with a small smile, distant memories making themselves known. "What's keeping you up?" She asked, trying to lighten the mood. She knew how quick Hannah was to complain, and she supposed that Kim thought she'd be the same way.
 
Kim turned her head to Lillian and gave her a nodding smile."Yeah...something like that." She answered with a soft smile, sitting herself up and looking to the woman beside her. But when Lillian asked what kept her up, Kim looked down a bit with a sigh

Kim sat there in silence for a bit before she finally spoke up."I'm just tired of being all by myself..I mean yeah I have you and Mom...But I'm tired of not having anybody that isn't family to cuddle with or something..."
