Introduction: For the purposes of this site, my name is Dale. I've been roleplaying for about 7 years and consider myself a fairly competent writer. A good speller, my punctuation and grammar may not be perfect, but better than most.

Roleplay Medium: I prefer to write in threads, because it relieves the clutter in my PM account, allows others to see samples of my writing, and allows me to locate my roleplays more easily. I will roleplay in PM if the roleplay interests me enough and my partner requests it. But since there's no way of sorting PMs into folders, my responses to my partners (as in plural roleplays over PM) may not be as prompt as they might desire. I will not roleplay over email, because my email accounts are even more cluttered than my PM account. And I will not roleplay over IM. I can't come up with quick enough responses for IM. Plus, I tend to make longer responses than those who like and use IM.

Settings: Historical, fantasy, contemporary, western, futuristic, science fiction, all are settings that I like. Romances I can live with. Dramas are not really my thing. Neither are fandom stories. I prefer original works over the recreations of the works of Hollywood or the networks. Besides, I don't watch nearly enough of the programs on TV or go to enough of the movies that people like to role play from. I do NOT play video games, so trying to roleplay them would probably be a waste of time. And generally, I'm not into furries, though I may make an exception, if the story interests me.

Length of Posts: I prefer roleplays with a fair amount of character and background development. So I tend to be long-winded on my first post. Especially if I'm the one posting first. But I usually settle down to about two paragraphs per post. But if you write long, I'll write long. The more you give me, the more I have to work with. Don't feel like you have to compete with me, however. I'll try to post at least once a day. But if the story's getting good, I'll post more often. I'm not a grammar NAZI, but please no text speak. Use real words and try to spell-check them. I make spelling errors like everyone else, but if your errors become too numerous, I'll give you a warning. And if they continue. I'll leave the roleplay.

Characters: I don't tend to play super-powerful, invincible type characters, but rather normal everyday guys. Or at least guys normal to the time period of the story. For instance, if the setting is medieval, I'll be a knight, soldier, troubadour, blacksmith or whatever the story requires. I've played an occasional vampire or werewolf, but if you're one of those roleplayers who feels like he needs to be adding super powers just so he can show my character up, I'll be gone from that roleplay very quickly. And godmodding is something that I absolutely hate. Don't put words in my character's mouth. You can infer his reactions to a situation and the sounds he might make under those circumstances, but only to a limited degree.

My character could be dominant or submissive or switch, depending on the story. I play enough vanilla characters on other sites. So when here on BMR, I crave something a little more non-consensual. And I REALLY crave a few more female role players who want to play the dominant role, since I rarely get to play a sub. However, if I do play a sub, it won't be the helpless "Tell me what to do, Mistress" kind. I prefer a rebellious sub that needs to be bound to be controlled OR a reluctant sub who the Mistress controls through blackmail and her feminine wiles.

Pictures: That's up to my partner. If she wants to post pictures of the characters, I'll try my best to come up with one that fits my character.

1st Person/3rd Person: I have no preference between first person and third person writing styles. Either works for me, though if you have a preference, state up front so that I can adjust my first post accordingly. I have an unconscious tendency of slipping between present-tense and past-tense in my writing. If that is a big issue with you, you may want to look elsewhere for a partner.

Gender: I prefer to play the male, because that's what I am. However, I could play female if the story interests me. I prefer female partners, but once again, I could accept a male partner if the story interests me. Though, if I play opposite a male partner, I'll be playing a female and it won't be a sex heavy story. Guy on guy action just doesn't work for me.

Likes/kinks: I really haven't established my own sexual nature, kink-wise. I'm interested in playing both the dominant and submissive role, but really don't want to call myself a switch, because I haven't been in the BDSM lifestyle long enough to make that decision. Dominance and submission, consensual and non-consensual, bondage, latex, leather, anal, breathplay, etc. My list of kinks are still a work in progress that I'll modify over time (see my F-list below).

But my favorite kinks (the ones that, if you include them in your roleplay suggestions, you will immediately grab my interest) are as follows:

Bondage (light to extreme, depending on the story)
Femdom (because there's not nearly enough of that on BMR)
Maledom (because there seems to be a wealth of partners wanting that on BMR)
Non-consensual (that may develop into consensual or maybe not)
Blackmail
Domination
Humiliation
Teasing and Tickling
Vibrators
Strap-ons (because no one ever lists them)
Nipple clips (also because no one ever lists them)
Vacbeds (on my bucket list for a looooooong time)
Mummification (also has been on my bucket list for quite awhile)

The kinks I list above do not necessarily reflect my personal lifestyle, but the lifestyle I'm willing to project on my characters. I like to explore characters that are a full 180 degrees from my own personality, which means I may scare some people off. There are things I do to my characters (or allow to have done to my characters by other role players) that I would never do to a real person or have done to myself. That's the fun of role play. You can be the nicest sweetest person (which I'm not) or the cruelest and most sadistic person (which I'm not), without physical harm or a police record resulting. Please take note of that before you assume you know me.

Hard limits: Snuff, gore, minors, scat, beastiality, or mutilation. Piss would be considered a soft limit, as is rape. This list is also a work in progress that I'll modify over time. And when I say minors, I'm referring to any character under 18. I know that's older than the site's rules, but anything younger than 18 would creep me out. Hell, given my age, I would think anyone would be creeped out at me roleplaying opposite a character younger than 18. :p

My ideal role play partner would have reasonably good spelling and grammar, would type at least a paragraph (4 or 5 sentences) with each post, and would not only have a vivid imagination, but an equally vivid writing style. I accept that sometimes, the only response is a single sentence, as long as that doesn't become a trend.

Pairings (I have no specific stories for these, but they are easy enough to write about):
boss/employee
real estate agent/buyer
kidnapper/victim
cop/criminal
teacher/student
student/student
sister/brother
landlord/tenant
master/pet
mistress/pet
bodyguard/celebrity
vampire/werewolf (though you'd best have a good story, since I've done these roles often)
human/succubus
queen/knight
king/peasant girl
photographer/model
king or queen/rebel prisoner

Specific Roleplay Ideas: Below you'll find my list of role play plots. I've included my opening sequence for most (but not all) of the stories to give you an idea of my writing style and the way I was planning to start the story (click on link to see them). However, those opening sequences are rough drafts, subject to shortening (because some of them are a bit long) and subject to modifications if you have suggestions for improvement. If you see a plot that interests you, please send me a PM rather than posting a response here. You'll get a quicker response.

1. The Switch
Dave woke with a start. Looking out through the windshield, he could still see the lights of LA in the valley below. But how did he end up in the passenger seat? Turning to his left resulted in multiple shocks. First, there was the long flowing hair that obscured his view of the driver's seat. And then there was the mirror image of himself sitting in the driver's seat, still asleep. Trying to figure out the source of the hair, he followed it down his body till he realized . . . he wasn't in his body. This was Jessica's long red hair, her rather ample curves, and her tight fitting jeans. Waaaaay too tight. Why did she try to fit in such jeans? Shaking her head to clear it (and throwing her hair all over the place in the process), he murmured to himself, "Stay on topic, Dave." It wasn't even his own voice that he heard. Suddenly finding himself in his wife's body was bad enough without worrying about her fashion choices, though if he ever made it home, these jeans would have to go.

Glancing again at his likeness in the driver's seat, Dave tried to piece together the event's of the night. He had brought his wife Jessica up to this lover's overlook this evening as a conclusion to what had been a semi-romantic evening of dinner and a movie. And just as they were about to make out, a brilliant white light had beamed down upon them from the sky.

Dave's initial reaction was to assume a police helicopter, but then the light became so blinding that he passed out. Now awake once more, he looked at his watch to find out how much time had passed. And was stunned to find out that 48 hours had passed since the night of that blinding light. It was no longer Friday night, it was Sunday night. And in that 48 hours of missing time, his consciousness had been transferred into his wife's body. With a degree of reluctance, Dave turned to poke the lanky guy with the short black hair sleeping behind the steering wheel, fearful of what he would learn from his clone.

((OOC: Would like a female to play the wife, now in the husband's body. If wanting to make this story a longer one, it would be preferable if she could play at least two characters. The second character being a female who either creates problems for my male-turned-female character or comes to her aid. And likewise I'll be introducing a second male character who either creates difficulties for your female-turned-male character or comes to his aid. This story could turn kinky or then again maybe not.))

A couple have a close encounter of the third kind. When they regain consciousness from their abduction, they find themselves back in their car, but his mind is in her body and her mind is in his. The story may have a kinky element or it may not (your choice).

2. Laura Reborn
A husband looses his wife in a tragic car accident. Overcome by grief, he retreats to a remote island off the coast of Maine. He only rarely leaves the island for supplies. During one of those excursions, he encounters a woman on a lonely stretch of road and offers her a ride to the next town. Beautiful, looking much like his wife, and intensely interested in him, she draws him into conversation about his loss. Her voice is soft and caring and he begins to drift off to the sound of that voice. The longer the conversation goes, the harder he finds it to focus on the road, so he pulls off to get some fresh air. A bad move, as she proceeds to take control of his mind. The woman is an escapee from an insane asylum, and is seeking a place to hide from the authorities. What better place to hide than in the identity of another person? So she reshapes his mind so that he sees not her, but his wife. (MC, femdom, bondage(?))

3. The War Between the Sexes
Amazonia and Andaria. Two countries locked in a bitter war. A war over who should rule humanity, women or men. For the moment, the women were winning. Amazonia had the numbers in their favor, their army outnumbering that of Andaria by two to one. But they were winning the war also because of a different philosophy that worked in their favor and against Andaria.

Amazonia was a matriarchal society, with only women rulers and men as servants or slaves. From birth, a male child was either discarded because of quotas, or enslaved. The establishment of male quotas insured that women heavily outnumbered men in the queendom. Servants were males considered properly trained to be subservient to women. Servants didn't need cuffs and chains. Slaves were males deemed untrainable and hence in need of bondage to control them.

Andaria was a kingdom, but only because it had a king at the moment. It had had both kings and queens as rulers. And while more a patriarchal society, there had been a sharing of roles. At least until the war. The war had forced a reassessment of the relationship between men and women in Andaria. Most women remained loyal to Andaria and their spouses. Some crossed the border to join up with the Amazonians. And some killed their husbands while they slept. This forced the king to institute curfews and controls over women, dictating when and where they could travel. And those women considered a threat to the kingdom found themselves wearing chains and cuffs like the male slaves of Amazonia.

The kingdom of Aragon was in a desperate situation. For too long, it had fought a losing war against the much larger kingdom of Amazonia. King Michael had been forced to enslave the women of his own kingdom, just to keep them from joining the Amazonians. And all for a war that he didn't know the origin of.

The cause of the war was shrouded in mystery, originating in some terrible act his father had committed against a member of the royal family of Amazonia. But his father was dead without leaving a clue as to the reason for the war. He had been killed in an early battle of the war, leaving the young and inexperienced Michael in charge. Only the Amazonian queen knew what Michael's father had done to anger her. And any attempt at negotiation with her had been met with scorn.

So when Michael learned that the Amazonian queen would be traveling past an unprotected part of the frontier between Amazonia and Andaria, he hatched a desperate plan. Personally leading a unit of his best soldiers, he would sneak across the border at night and capture her. Bringing her back as a prisoner, he would use the queen as leverage to force Amazonia to make peace.

*********************************************************************************************

The road was a narrow one, with a ridge running along one side and deep forest in both directions. A perfect place for an ambush. Michael deployed his archers using the ridge for cover from the road. Stealth was important because they were in enemy territory. They wanted to eliminate the guards quietly and make the capture with as little noise as possible. To that ends, Michael had brought more bowmen than necessary, assigning three archers to each of the Amazonian queen's guards. Their goal, to put the arrows in a place where the guards would die without making a sound.

Michael's decision to accompany his men on this mission had been a subject of argument back at the castle. Lucius thought it too risky for the king to be participating in. But Michael thought it only proper that a member of royalty greet a member of royalty in these circumstances.

As the coach approached, Michael gave a signal for the archers to notch their arrows. At the sound of an owl's hoot, they let loose, killing all the guards instantly. Decius, one of king's lieutenants, jumped from the ridge onto the driver's seat and took charge of the horse's reins from the dead driver, slowing the coach to a stop. At the same time, Michael ran down the ridge to the door of the coach, flinging it open.

"Good evening, your majesty. No sound, please." The point of Michael's sword at the Amazonian queen's throat reinforced his warning. Just for a moment, his resolve wavered as he flinched under the intense glare of her eyes. Then he regained his composure, though somewhat in awe of her fierce beauty.

((OOC: Need a female who is able to play a dominant woman who finds herself forced into a subordinate position. A female who is determined to regain the upper hand.))
A fantasy story of two warring kingdoms, one ruled by women and the other by men. The king of the one kingdom kidnaps the queen of the other kingdom, resulting in a war of wills as he tries to force her to agree to peace between their kingdoms. There may be a power shift during the story. (Maledom, femdom(?), NC, bondage)

4. Survivor Island
To say that Larry and Joan were like oil and water was to understate their relationship. In truth, they were toxic around each other, and had been that way since they were children. The two of them had grown up as next door neighbors in their small midwestern town. And while their parents got along famously, the two children were enemies, almost at first sight. Neither could say how their war began. Though Joan would claim it was when Larry pulled her around in a circle by her ponytails during recess of first grade. And Larry would claim it was when Joan dumped a bottle of ink on his sandwich that same day. Retaliation became an all-consuming part of their childhood and teenage years. When Larry "found" Joan's diary and blabbed about the contents, he found his bike with two slashed tires. When Joan "found" Larry's baseball mitt and cut it to pieces, Larry left some vulgar gossip about her on the wall of the girl's bathroom. But as bad as it was in grade school, it got worse in high school. That was because at the beginning of their freshman year, Larry's mother caught his dad cheating with Joan's mother. Two messy divorces left Larry not only angry at Joan, but at her mom as well. Conversely, Joan was not only angry at Larry, but his dad as well. So the war of retaliation got worse, as Larry's car mysteriously ended up with sugar in the gas tank and a Joan69 website mysteriously sprang up with porn star nudes wearing Joan's face. And it didn't help that Joan and Larry were polar opposites socially as well. Joan was tall, tanned, blond and athletic. Larry was short, pale, with spiky black hair, and a nerd. So their personal animosity was institutionalized by the cliques of high school. Everyone in town was surprised when both showed up for graduation day. There was a running bet that one would kill the other before that day would arrive. And as soon as they got their diplomas, they ran in opposite directions, not only wanting to get away from each other, but from their parents as well. Joan went to USC on a soccer scholarship, while Larry went to Boston College on a computer scholarship.

Five years later, Larry was working in a computer software firm. Needing to take a break from writing lines and lines and lines of code, he decided to take a vacation. He chose a south sea cruise to get as far away from work as possible. There would be no cell phone or laptop with him on this trip. But instead, a swimsuit, plenty of suntan lotion, a book, and a camera. And lots of women in bikinis to remind him he was on vacation. Laying in a deck chair by the pool on the second day of the cruise, he noticed the most incredible ass he'd ever seen. Nicely rounded and toned, it was complemented by the muscular legs that extended down from it. He let out a whistle and the woman turned. To his shock, it was Joan. What were the odds of that happening, he groaned to himself? She glared at him and then stomped off without saying a word.

As Larry sat there marveling on how gorgeous his old enemy looked, he began to realized how he had missed not having her around to torment. Life at Boston College and then the computer firm had been dull because he had no antagonist to keep his mental juices flowing like in his early life. He was not suddenly developing a fondness for Joan, but rather for the battles he had with her. So much so, that when he went to dinner, he looked around for her in the dinning room. Seeing her, he then waited till she stepped away from the table so that he could slip some incredibly hot spices from their last port onto her quiche. Unfortunately, she never tried the dish. As soon as she saw him, she stomped out of the dinning room without finishing her meal.

Larry was awakened early the next morning by the sound of alarms going off all over the ship. He immediately realized what was wrong, because his room was slanted 45 degrees to the starboard side. And the ship was not righting itself, but remaining at that angle. Dressing as best as he could, with one foot on the floor and the other on the wall, he then struggled up the incline to his door and into the hallway. Walking on the wall and the hallway floor at the same time was awkward, but Larry finally made it out onto the deck. A deckhand ran up and handed him a life preserver, telling him to "Make for the nearest lifeboat". But all the lifeboats were not only full, but already in the water. So passengers were starting to jump into the water, needing to get clear of the ship, before the suction of the massive vessel could pull them under.

Gathering up his courage, Larry jumped over the rail. His timing could have been better, as a wave slammed into the ship, smashing him into the hull. He hit head first, leaving him with a splitting headache and a battle to remain conscious. A battle that he lost as he slipped into darkness.

Larry awoke to the sound of crashing waves and sand in his face. And in absolute darkness. So absolute that it couldn't be night. Especially since he could feel the heat of the sun beating down on his back as he lay on sand. The only other explanation was that he was blind. Perhaps it was a temporary condition of his head injury, which he was still suffering a headache from. But whether temporary or permanent, what was he going to do now? Obviously, his body had floated with the current and somehow found land. Thank heavens for life preservers. Otherwise he would have drowned before reaching here. Wherever here happened to be. Wherever he was, he was not alone on the beach. He could feel a box wash up against his leg and other items creaking and banging around him. Debris from the ship that, like him, had floated with the current to this point. Perhaps there was stuff on the beach that he could use for his survival, if only he could see what that stuff was. But if there was debris from the ship, perhaps there were other people from the ship here as well.

"HELLO! IS THERE ANYONE HERE!"

Nothing. No response. But then, the sound of the ocean was loud enough that someone could have walked up to him and he wouldn't hear them. Maybe if he got away from the water, he'd hear better. But when Larry tried to get up, his head started pounding even worse. So rather than standing, he crawled forward until his body was out of the water, and then lay there, waiting for the pain to subside. In the meantime, he considered his situation. As long as he remained blind, he would be in a perilous position. Unable to see, he could walk off a cliff or fall into a sinkhole. Unable to see, he would have a hard time finding fresh water, his number one necessity. Unable to see, he would have a hard time making a shelter. And yet, he couldn't remain out here under this brutal sun. Unable to see, he would not only have a hard time finding food, but he could become food for any predators on this piece of land. Larry remembered a National Geographic piece on the komodo dragons of the south sea islands. Were there any of them here? Carnivorous though they were, there was no record of them killing a human. But then again, they might make an exception for a blind man.

"HELLO! IS THERE ANYONE HERE!"

((OOC: I need someone to play Joan. Play her as vengeful enough to use Larry's blindness to enslave him or to force him into a devil's bargain that includes slavery. Or play her as kinder towards him because he's blind. Or play her however else you want. But be aware that there's the possibility that the blindness is temporary, and once Larry regains his sight, all bets are off.))
A male and a female who have been enemies since childhood find themselves on the same pleasure cruise. And then stranded on the same island after the ship sinks in a storm. He is rendered blind by an injury during the sinking of the ship. Will she take advantage of the situation when she finds her childhood tormentor washed up on the shore? Or will she develop a soft spot for her blind enemy? One thing she needs to bear in mind is that his blindness may be temporary. And once he regains his sight, he may return to the jerk he's always been. This story may turn kinky or it may not (your choice).

5. Online to Reality
Two shy and nerdy individuals with latent kinky tendencies meet online. After months of exploring their fantasies on the computer screen, he finally decides to suggest a meeting, proposing a low risk venue for her where he will already be tied in a hotel room when she arrives, a hood on his head to hide both his and her identities. If things don't go well, she can walk away, still anonymous to him. The question is, will she show? There may be power shifts within the story. (Femdom, maledom(?), con, bondage)

6. Blind Vengeance
In a darker variation on "Online to Reality", two ex-lovers or ex-spouses develop that same online connection. One lover/spouse was kinky, while the other was vanilla, which was why their real life relationship broke up badly. So the kinky one goes online, looking for a new partner. And finds someone that matches their interests. Only, that "someone", unbeknownst to them, is their former lover/spouse, who plays at being shy and suggests the hotel meeting like in "Online to Reality", but with a darker intent. There's a wide range of variations on this theme running through my mind that anyone interested in this story might want to discuss beforehand, including different settings, different ways of getting even, and how dark they want the story to go. (Femdom or maledom, con, NC, bondage)

NOTE: If you contact me, please have an idea of what you want to do. Don't just send a PM saying, "Hey, wanna roleplay?"

A bump for editing. And if you read my post and have some advice (you think it's too long, too restrictive, too detailed or whatever), feel free to give me your advice. :D

Reconsidering whether to move death (snuff) from hard limits to soft limits. After all, why should every story have a happy ending? Though death would have to be agreed upon by all parties to the roleplay.

And giving myself a bump in the meantime. :D
