Alright, it was one thing if they wanted to follow her. Outright stalk her, actually.
She knew? Well, of course she knew. Just because she grew up amongst humans, didn't her senses were any less accurate than others of her kind. Her hearing and sense of smell were as good as those of any shapeshifter who lived out in the wild.

So, when just a bit ago, as she was heading back from a mere stroll, someone of her kin decided to come after her... it would have been odd if she hadn't noticed them.

Either way, as mentioned before...Isabel didn't mind that. As long as he didn't go and pick a fight...because that would probably turn out badly for her, it was fine.
But going around in his animal form right through the city, and all those humans, who got easily freaked out...
Were they suicidal?

Isabel had ignored them, but seeing the mess they got themselves into, and that they clearly didn't know a way out of it...she stepped in.
Once she did, she found out it was a he. She told the frightened humans he was another one of her pets, and perfectly harmless, which they seemed relieved to hear. Then, after apologizing several times and promising to be more careful so he wouldn't get off his leash, she half dragged him away.

She didn't stop for a while, before they were somewhere empty and somewhat recluse. A human seeing her have a conversation with an 'animal' might turn out badly.
Once somewhere she deemed safe, after looking around a moment, her dark brown eyes turned to him. "What were you doing!?" She didn't really raise her voice, but her tone wasn't the most peaceful, something which wasn't exactly usual for her. But it was really only because she worried.
Sure, she just met him. If it could even be called meeting...However, she couldn't help but worry for pretty much all of her rare species.

"They could have killed you!"

((Hope it's alright. I always feel my starters fail. x.x))

(works great for me~)

and who'd resist the chance?

to the young shapeshifter, the city was of course -very- intimidating and he knew well it was dangerous, but he could not let the chance go by, it had been ten years since his family had been taken away by hunters, he had managed to escape by mere chance

ever since, he'd be living on his own, the tanuki shapeshifter had adapted quite well, whenever he got cold and to sleep, he went to his feral form, a very large and thick furred Tanuki, and when he had to hunt, he assumed his were form, quite a menacing one, it was actually rare for him to spend time in human form, it was just... inconvenient out in the wild

but then, he saw her, so graceful, so elegant, he just had to follow her, perhaps she knew where more of his kind lived, maybe even his family! he knew that he had to keep away from the big cities but he didn't cared, he lunged after her

it was all good until the citizens started getting nervous at the oversized feral tanuki, he had been cornered, and he was about to transform when she came, he lowered his ears and gave a soft cooing, however, when she reached out to collar him, he gave a low growl, he had a bit of a thorn moment, once again, he was preparing himself to shift and try to break free, but then he heard her voice, she seemed nice...

looking up, he gave her an annoyed look and started to paw repeatedly at his collar, then pointed his nose in the direction of the fields

The young woman couldn't help but sigh as the shifter in his tanuki shape did not really answer, her brows instead furrowing as he looked displeased, then noting how he pawed at his collar. She looked over as he pointed to the fields, then shook her head before looking back to him. "Yeah, I already guessed you live out there somewhere..."

She looked to his collar again. She frankly believed she wouldn't like having a collar on her, either, so she felt bad for having to put one on him. But when he was in this shape, she had to. Otherwise people would think...better, know he was wild and well... it wouldn't turn out well.
Looking around once again, with another sigh, she took off the collar. "Alright, I'm taking this off, but you have to stay close to me until we get to my house..." She wondered if he even understood her...she honestly could only hope so.

Getting up, she made a motion for him to follow her, and started walking. She'd stop if he didn't come after her, otherwise, though, she'd keep going until they reached her home.

slowly, he began panting, quite the overgrown pup...

following her hand, he gave a curious little bark, then his long bushy ringed tail began wagging, he rolled his head in relief and started to follow her, not only that, but he would give her little licks at her hand, and when she got distracted enough, he took a bite at the collar and tossed it aside, he had remembered something about never shifting forms in front of strangers, and this city was sure packed full of them,

other than that, he really was never taught how to speak in his feral form, so he was stuck without a way to comunicate, but it didnt mattered to him, she seemed nice to him in his innocence and there was good hope of her bringing him over to more of his kind!

Isabel couldn't help but find him quite adorable. She did jumped slightly when he licked her hand the first time, however, she didn't really do anything to stop him, not actually minding it.
The moment she got a tad lost in her thoughts, though, the other took the collar she held from he and tossed it away. "Hey!" She stopped and gave him an annoyed look, but with a sigh, she just got to walking again. She could have a talk with him once they got to her house, right now, she wasn't about to have a conversation when there were so many around.

Soon enough, she walked over to a doorstep, reaching into her dark blue jacket's pocket and taking out the key. She tucked a strand of dark brown hair behind her ear, which had gotten in front of her eye, too short to stay with the rest of her hair tied back in a braid. Then, she placed the key in the lock, turned and opened the door, holding it open and motioning for her new...acquaintance, to enter.

finnaly they had arrived to a somewhat safe location! the abundance of noises, tall decayed buildings and groups of humans made him quite wary, but in the end, they reached what seemed to be a very cozy place, sniffing, he checked out the door frame, not finding anything unusual, he snuck in, wagging his big bushy tail

once he was inside, he gave a low bark, then he awaited for a moment, was she going to get in or she was going to go away leaving him inside, his fur rose slightly at the idea and he prepared himself to leap at the door if she tried to!

She watched with a small smile as he went inside, tail wagging. Isabel was then was confused as she noted his fur rise, as if he was threatened.

Still, calmly she merely walked inside, taking the key from it's hole and then closing the door. "There we go. Home sweet home." She took off her jacket calmly as she turned to her guest. "You can turn now, if you like..."

with a few soft pants and some more tailwags, the large tanuki relaxed, she had walked inside, he could not percive any other scents around so he assumed it was safe to come out now, he didn't understood what she had said, but he felt it was more comfortable to be at eye level with her, besides, he didn't wanted to be leashed again!

curling up he started to shapeshift, it was the most comfortable pose as it allowed his joints to re-snap in the right places, surprisingly, for having such a long and abundant fur in his feral form, his human shape was almost as hairless as a regular human, save for the obvious spots, that is, after he finished, a 27 year old human was curling in the floor, slowly, he 'rose' if it could be called that, his posture was down-low, much resembling his hybrid form, slowly, he took a step forward towards her, extending out a hand "t-tu sabrás donde esta mi familia?"
