The city of Gotham erupted in widespread violence and general lawlessness, more so than usually as the war to determine villain supremacy, besieged the embittered streets, moving well into the night and peaking at the breaking dawn. The cause of the war? Longstanding beefs amongst certain villain factions, there were so many villains looking to "settle" disputes that a war made the most sense. Seeking satisfaction for debts unpaid, they took to Gotham's capitol. It started out as individual skirmishes but before long it was an all out, every man for himself battle royale.

No one knew for sure where idea came from originally or who put it forth, but it didn't take long for a hierarchy to emerge in the chaos. Black Adam had the greatest kill count among the active participants and was so far the favorite in the war. Black Manta had fallen early on in the battle, with his son Kaldur'ahm stepping up managing to fell several other rival villains and outlasting more than anyone's expected. Magneto had by far the largest army going into the war, and his numbers were still great. The Joker seemed to have an advantage and was doing quite well himself.

Some merely wanted to opportunitize on the destruction of the city and cared very little for the war itself. Others engaged for no other reason than to see the city burn and others to test limits of their abilities. Nearly all had some type of stake in the great villain siege. From run of the mill looters to crime bosses and of course villain elite. As dawn encroached the violence seemed to wane, not because things had gotten better but because so many were dead. With only the top holdouts remaining. It was a far more dangerous scene. The remaining villains had become desperate to eliminate eachother.
