There was a time where dragons were the masters of the land. They ruled the skies; they ruled the mountains; they ruled the seas. There were more dragons then most could even expect. Fire, water, earth, and air even thunder, shadow, and light dragons too all with different appearances, skills, and culture, but there was one type of dragon that beat the rest. A legendary dragon with pure sliver scales with wings that could create hurricanes, teeth like swords, and claws like hooks. This was the most powerful, beautiful, and intelligent dragon all have ever seen. Offspring were rare, only a few sliver dragons have been seen compared to the overabundance of other dragons who proudly ruled their territory, but as quickly as they claimed it, it was lost to a unlikely foe.

Humans since day one had hated dragons because of their greed and blood lust, but in truth these were traits only pushed by humans themselves. They attacked dragons first unable to handle the truth of being unable to expand or explore into territory owned by dragons. So they attacked claiming dragons were demons from hell that escaped with their claws through the earth's ground. Only after humans started attacking and killing innocent dragon offspring did dragons fight back. They attacked human cities and villages for humans attacking their homes and killing their families, but it only sealed the cruel fate. The greed of dragons were nothing more then dragons protecting what was left of their homes. The gold and jewels kept their eggs hidden, but humans would scale mountains and either kill the protecting parent inside or forcing it to flee. Either way the egg inside will die without the warmth of it's parent. With this alone the dragon population was beginning to dwindle, but it only increased rapidly as humans invented wooden catapults to throw flaming boulders onto flying dragons and stronger weapons and armors even attacking in large groups. They began discovering flaws in the dragon's strong hide. Slowly, but surly dragons become something of legends. There was only one hope to saving the dragon race.

Using a magic dragons never intended or foreseen ever using, but the humans were threatening their own existence. A powerful magic where dragons took the forms of humans to disguise themselves as the enemy and for a few years the plan worked. There was a risk to this magic. Without their strong hides dragons became vulnerable as humans were making it difficult to adjust, but to persevere their species then it was a risk they were willing to make. This magic of transformation became part of what was taught to the hatchlings as their population began to grow again, but just like their protective hides there was a flaw in there disguise. On the right shoulder blade a tattoo like symbol of their true form matching the color of their scales. After humans discovered their ruse a large massacre took place where humans were searched for the tattoos and if they possessed it the dragon was struck down. Now more then ever dragons were being killed one by one. Until not a single dragon was left alive or...so they believed.

There was one that survived the massacre. A young woman roamed the forest in search of a rumor that could save her species. There's been whispers about a male dragon around in area, she prayed to find him. This woman was the last female as far as evidence showed and this could be her last chance to save their species from becoming a myth. It was her quest to find and mate with him before it was too late, but there was conflict deep inside of her. Dragons weren't suppose to mate like this, they are suppose to mate for love. Maybe...maybe there was something that could be done...she prayed that one day she'll learn to love him. The young woman had a lot of thinking and concerns to come to terms with as she wandered deeper into the forest. Her hair was soft like silk and shined beautifully, reached down to her mid back with her bangs trying to cover her right eye, but pushed aside to prevent it and with strains framing her soft face. Her eyes were as blue as sapphires and sparkled with life with long, thick, delicate eyelashes framing them and creating wings from the corners of her eyes. Her lips were full and soft while her skin was as pale and flawless as fresh snow. Her body was thin and curvy like an hourglass with round ample breast on her chest and large hips with thick thighs and a round firm rear. Her hands were dainty and her legs were soothe and made her walk elegantly. A simple white dress covered her arms and back, hiding her tattoo that would give away who she really was. The dress hugged her upper body, but reached down to cover her thighs. With each passing moment, the woman grew more and more skeptic that this rumor wasn't true, but she couldn't give up...not yet.

A slightly older looking man looked over the valley from his cave high on the cliff side, near impossible to reach from the ground, likely the reason he had survived to be the last male dragon as far as anyone could prove anyway. He had defended this valley since he father had passed it off to him too many years ago. He wasn't looking for anything really, just gazing. A small village sat in the direct center of the valley, a very quint place, and somewhere he visited often.

On a whim he decided to walk in the forest. The village didn't signal any new comers to the valley so he was sure it was relatively safe. He transformed into his true shape for just a few minutes to drop down to the valley floor, and quickly transformed back. Anyone looking at the cliff face would have seen the black dragon as he dropped down.

After the quick drop, the man, his hair as black as his scales, but his skin a sharp contrast to the black as a fair white on a strong frame. A simple black shirt and pants adorn his body as he starts his walk through the forest, walking in a random direction. Little did he know he would walk into the woman that would seal both of their destinies.

The girl was heading towards this cliff side that the rumors told was the dragon's lair. From what she could see from the great distance was that the location that it was something human's couldn't reach on their own, maybe even impossible. If only her own home was as safe, but unfortunately no dragon was prepared for such a war between them and humans. She did her best to avoid going through the small village. From the things she's seen, the girl tried hard to stay away from humans as much as possible. Even though she was technically safe for a short time, the fear of being caught was too much on her. For all she knew as soon as the humans knew the truth they'll take a sick pleasure in torturing her. In her eyes...humans were mortal demons.

The forest seemed so peaceful too, more then the others she's seen in the past; perhaps this rumored dragon's work. She normally heard the laughter of human hunters and slayers from time to time, causing her to hide and pray that she wouldn't be caught. The sounds of the unseen birds singing in the trees was a melody that filled her soul with peace. Her sharp ears could hear the sounds of nearby deer running with their families through the trees bringing a smile to her face. The wind running through the leaves and through her hair felt like bliss. For a moment she stared up into the blue sky longing to sore through them again, but the current situation forbade it.

After a few minutes, when the girl looked back at the road ahead of her, fear struck through her. A man was coming...was he human or was he a dragon? If it was the dragon she didn't want to miss him, but if it was a human then she risked getting herself killed. Though she needed to know if this was a rumor worth her time and it was just one human...if it was necessary then she'll kill him. As much as she loathed killing anything other then to eat, it was necessary. Besides if he managed to escape or decided to flee then there was the risk of him going to the village and describing her human appearance. Human hunters and slayers will know her face and attack her immediately and without question. So, she decided not to stray or hide, but instead walk towards the man feeling her heart beating in her chest. When he was close enough to hear her voice, the girl used her sweet voice to ask. "Excuse me, are you from around here?"

The young looking man strolled thorough the forest until he ran across the road, deciding on a whim which way to go he starts to walk down the road. "The birds' songs are beautiful today" he muses to himself as the continues down the the small road. As the walk progressed he saw a young woman walking towards him, or well, in his direction. She was very beautiful, and someone he had never seen before. "She must have skirted the village." He whispers to himself as she grows ever closer.

Hearing her speak, he gets distracted by her voice for a moment, it was better then the songs of the birds. Snapping to attention quickly though, he answers. "Yes, you could say I know this valley better then anyone." Certainly not a lie, he had lived and fought her for centuries after all.

The man before her surely was handsome and there was a certain comfort she felt near him; something told her she didn't have to be afraid of him though she was nervous. His answer did give her some relief thinking he of all people will know if the rumor was true or not. Even though she feared he would suspect her the instant he heard her question, but she had no choice if she wanted to know the truth. "Well, I'm not really from around here and well...I heard rumors that a dragon had a lair around this valley...is it true?" She held her own hands forcing herself to keep eye contact.
