Hunter or Hunted? (Atroxa & Effigy)

Varena felt a shimmer of irritation at his words, but she lacked the energy to retort, or even get very angry, it was taking all her energy to just stay awake right now. She didn't even protest when he picked her up, her breathing quick but shallow as the poison began to win out over her control. By the time Rordan found them some shelter, her shivering was much more pronounced, and her brown hair was sticking to her face and neck as she began to sweat more profusely. Varena had also passed out at some point during his search, and lay unconscious when he finally deposited her on the cave floor.

So she was unaware of Rordan's struggle as he got off the rest of her armor and most of her clothes, the effects of her blood working on him like poison itself, though more akin to an aphrodisiac than a poison. She was in no mind to alleviate the effects though, let alone even be aware of his touch on a conscious level. In her sleep, it did stir her a little, bringing about dreams more like hallucinations, of hands stroking and caressing her. Varena only shivered and groaned occasionally though, what little clothing that remained on her soaked in her sweat in no time.

The fever meant a few things, she would need liquids forced into her to keep her from dehydrating, and she would need something to fight inflammation, as well as her bandage changed regularly with fresh crow's beard. There was no cure though, it would only take time and vigilance on Rordan's part to help her body fight off the poison. As night settled, she still remained unconsciously, occasionally groaning or muttering in her sleep, curled into a tight ball with her body occasionally wracked by small tremors as the poison caused her pain.

Once Varena was at least stable, or as stable as she was going to be inside of a cave Rordan would leave. Not for too long, just to collect whatever he had left behind. His arrows, the stinger, Varena's sword and shield. When he returned he was quick to toss the stuff against a wall, going right back to the woman who was shaking in her sleep. Kneeling he brought his hands down on her, to try and hold her in place or gods knows what. “Hang in there... Come on...” Rordan stated softly, unable to do much but watch and hope.

The shaking would die down after a little while, Varena's body coated in a thick sheen of sweat. Rordan pulling out from his pouch the few medical supplies that he had. The first being some ground up powder that he poured into one of the few skins of water they had. He had used the powder a number of times for himself to battle off sickness, though it was more a means to numb and soothe instead of cure. He would take the time to make Varena drink, giving her a small amount at a time as he held her mouth open.

Much through the night he would do this, dab her head with cold wet cloth, keeping no more then inches away from her at all times. There was even a point where the shaking got worse and Rordan ended up picking Varena up. The man now sitting by the fire he made with Varena practically laying against him on his lap. He had gotten out of his own armor awhile ago, in a simple shirt and pants with his boots still on. It didn't matter to him that Varena was so sweaty, sharing his warmth the best he could.

"Varena..." Rordan spoke out, however the woman didn't respond. He even took it a step further by smacking her a little on the cheek, but still nothing. The man sighing before a thought came to mind. Be it necessity, be it curiosity, or a chance to actually do this without repercussions, whatever the case was Rordan would start to change. He found it easier to control the animal side of himself if he at least stayed in it from time to time. So one night wouldn't hurt, and hey the fur would make things better for Varena wouldn't it. Before long Varena was now curled up against a wolf. Fur that matched Rordan's hair, one of it's eyes a pale white. Resting his head down over his paws Rordan relaxed, much larger then normal wolves were but he was something more after all.

Varena would probably be thankful for just being unconscious for most of this, the sweat pouring off of her would be unpleasant, and the aches of the poison and fever uncomfortable, and the over all feeling of being sick just was best abandoned over all. The medicinal powder that Rordan made her drink helped, her shaking dying down and her breathing becoming a little more regular. For a time she seemed to sleep rather peacefully, exhausted despite being unconscious. When it wore off though, the shakes came back full force until Varena was practically convulsing.

When Rordan pulled her into his lap she put up a little of a fuss, but then calmed down, still shaking softly. She didn't really respond when he said her name, or smacked her on the cheek, the woman curled into a ball, every muscle tense. She finally began to relax after he had changed, Varena unknowingly curling herself against a very large wolf. She buried her face in the thick dark fur and let out a low breath, not quite a sigh but close, seeming to relax a little. She seemed to sleep a little more peacefully with Rordan's large, furred body wrapped around her.

Varena slept through the night and most of the next day, some of the time her sleep was deep and almost peaceful, but when the fever spiked, or the poison seemed to be fighting back against the medicine that her companion kept pumping into her, she would shake and groan in pain, sweating profusely. As the day wore on though, she seemed to become more responsive to Rordan's words and touch, her face twitching and shifting into the ghosts of expressions and moving a little every now and then, instead of being little more than a living corpse. Finally just after sunset, Varena's eyelids fluttered a little and she woke, or seemed to.

It was clear to look at her that she wasn't all there, the woman struggling to sit up, keeping herself propped up with one hand while the other ran over her face in a groggy way. Her normally sharp blue eyes were unfocused and heavy and her movements were slow and halting. “What...” was about the only word she seemed able to say, repeating it softly over and over.

There was definitely a sense of content with the situation. Having Varena curled up next to him, and even then with him in his wolf form. Never had he done such a thing and it was liberating to say the least. Only in this context of a woman being passed out could he do this, so he enjoyed it as much as he could. Finding slumber much easier then other nights even with such grave circumstances. Whatever the case was, dreams of Varena and himself flooded his mind. Which only became perverse. Images of Rordan taking her in human form, in werewolf form, even wolf form. Never had he had such fantasizes. Sure she was a woman and had quite the body to go with it, but she was his brother in arms. And that was how he saw her until well... until tonight.

The following morning Rordan would awaken, truth be told he had a few times through out the night when Varena moved a little to much. The man changing back into his human form so he could get started on treating her. Having to slip pants on he would leave the cave with knife in hand, coming back with fresh crow's beard in hand. Just like before he would help her up to undo the bandages before cleaning her wound, pouring some water and softly scrubbing away any dead flesh or caked on blood. With new crow's beard he repadded her wound before wrapping her in new bandages.

Through out the day he would make her drink more, even going so far as to make a stew so she wouldn't have to chew actual food. Random things from out in the forest from mushrooms to wild game. Only things he recognized of course, the last thing Rordan wanted to do was poison Varena with something else! In comparison to their usual time spent together it was quite peaceful. Rordan's only job other then caring for her was just to be look out, to make sure nothing came their way. Watching the sunset Rordan was expecting another lonely evening until he heard Varena move and even speak.

“Varena.” Rordan stated, moving over to her side . The man's hand immediately went to her back to help her stay up. His eye moving up and down her body to make sure she was ok or wasn't bleeding or anything. “Hey there lay back down. It's alright I'm here.” He added, smiling as he rubbed her back softly. “It's good to see you awake, I got more stew if you are hungry... Varena?” Rordan spoke, but as he processed how she looked, processed how unfocused her eyes were, he couldn't help but feel concerned. “You don't look so good, come on you don't have to play tough with me right now just lay down.” He said as his hand came up to her chest, pressing softly against it to try and physically suggest to her to lay back.

Varena had dreamed often and intensely in her sleep. Only when she fell into that deep, restful unconsciousness born out of exhaustion did she not dream. The rest of the time, fever dreams plagued her mind. She wouldn't remember any of them from that first night when she eventually shook off this illness, but even if she did they would probably make little sense to her. They were fragmented and chaotic, only every so often did they clarify into something more coherent, when they did though they were likely even more perverse than Rordan's dreams, populated with Ulrich, the orc brothers (especially Borkul), a few men from her youth, and even Rordan a few times. She reveled in depraved dreams that would probably make her blush if she remembered them.

She didn't though, she didn't even remember where she was, and she didn't seem to hear Rordan when he said her name. So she was a little startled when she felt some one touch her back, jumping a little and looking at him with a bewildered expression. She had to stare at him for a moment to actually recognize him, and his words seemed to take a few moments to really process. Varena was very out of it, even when she responded to his request and laid down, she did so sluggishly, automatically, not in a way that really conveyed understanding why she was doing it. She lay there, staring blankly to the side and blinking, still sweating and breathing harshly. It was only after laying there for a few moments, collecting herself, that the woman seemed to come around a bit.

Varena still looked unfocused, her mind felt like it was wrapped in gauze, fuzzy and floating, but she wasn't in as much pain as she had been as her body had processed the majority of the poison. The only thing remaining was the fever and the wound. She was better though, but weak, and obviously far from completely better. She sat up again, ignoring any protests from Rordan, swaying for a moment before she ended up just leaning against him heavily. “Where...” she blinked as she looked around the cave, then looked back to him, her face close “What...” Varena's mind, for whatever reason, decided that this was obviously just another dream, and slipped into the habits that she'd been maintaining in her dreams so far. This was why she suddenly leaned forward, a hand coming up to press against his bare chest for balance as her lips met his in a hungry kiss. In the back of her mind, she knew that there was something very different about this 'dream', and she questioned why she was even kissing him, she didn't like Rordan! None of this was enough to stop her though, her tongue running along his lips and arousal blooming between her legs.

Once Varena had laid down Rordan would turn to get a few things for her. Another skin of water maybe, or would stew be better. It was too early to change her bandages.... When he turned back he saw that she was beginning to sit up again. What was the point after she had just laid down? Rordan was going to say something but Varena even in such a crippled state probably wouldn't care. He sighing softly when she started up again, asking where and what. What could he do to help?

“Where we are is in a cave in the jungles south of Weldrich. As to what I guess you have been sick for two days now.” Rordan stated softly, though if any of this was processing through her head was beyond him. It didn't take long before she was leaning against him, obviously weak even as she fought to keep conscious. Immediately his arms came up to hold her, to keep her in place against himself. He was about to ask her something when she leaned further into him, her head tilted back so she could kiss him.

Rordan's eye opened wide as he sat there, why was she kissing him?! And not just a kiss, practically a mauling of his lips as she pressed hers hungrily to his. It was enjoyable yes but completely uncalled for. At first Rordan starting to push Varena away would turn into him pulling her against himself when her tongue came out to run across his lips. That contact with her saliva a catalyst for Rordan to join in on her little “dream”. Before thought could be put to action Rordan's lips opened, his tongue meeting Varena's in an intense moment of passion. If it wasn't for Varena's sickness then the sight of a gorgeous woman covered in sweat in nothing but a shirt and panties would be rather arousing. Rordan's hands moving to that shirt in some sort of attempt to grab at it, to slip his hands under to feel her flesh again. The fire only setting the mood that much more, just like with Ulrich and his fireplace.

Varena let out a noise as he pulled her against his chest, crushing her a little, but in a pleasant way, her arms coming up to go around his neck. Her shirt was clinging to her skin, damp with sweat, practically see through with the fire a back light behind her. The woman's tongue slipped between Rordan's lips as they opened, delving into his mouth as she kissed him passionately, pressing herself against him. His hands on her made Varena moan softly, thinking that this felt far more real and intense than any of her other dreams, making her pussy ache to have him inside of her.

Over the smell of her sweat and the humidity of the jungle, the intoxicating scent of her arousal would tickle at Rordan's sensitive nose, only fueling the fire, though not the one burning near by. The half-delirious woman pulled her arms from around his neck to run her hands down his body in kind, admitting to some small part of herself in the back of her mind that she'd been curious about his body for some time. He was her brother at arms, but he was still a man, and Varena was still a woman, she was only human, for the most part anyway. Rordan was still handsome as well, even if he was an asshole.

Varena's hands didn't stop until they were at his pants, one running between his legs curiously to press against the growing erection hidden under the fabric, letting out a groan of excitement into his mouth. Her other hand quickly got his belt undone before both hands worked at getting his pants undone, one coming back up once that was finished to push at him, pushing him back as she leaned into Rordan, making him lay back. She kept kissing him, her tongue thrusting into his mouth almost lewdly, ending up on top of him, straddling him. Her hands pushed his pants down, not all the way but enough for Varena to get at what she wanted.

Rordan's cock exposed, she rubbed herself against him eagerly, moaning at the sensation of his shaft rubbing against her clit through her panties. She only did that for a moment before she pulled away from him, finally ending their kiss so she could sit up, swaying a little before she found her balance and reached down, one hand gripping his cock and the other pulling her panties aside, letting out a breathy, sweet moan as she rubbed his cockhead against her soaking cunt. Varena was more than ready for this, her blue eyes burning with lust, but still slightly unfocused as she looked down at Rordan, starting to press him against her hot entrance.

Her moans somehow resonating in Rordan's ears as they made out, as they pressed to one another. Her touch somehow soothing even as she gripped and pulled at him. Even with her eyes unfocused that gaze of hers, how lust seemed to seep out from her eyes when she looked at him. And the taste of her lips, her tongue, her saliva and even sweat... All of it was addicting, Rordan had been with other women before but this was something else. How he derived such pleasure from this foreplay, he was actually a little scared. Had he gotten sick too? Somehow off his guard and now his body was having a reaction? This was definitely an enjoyable reaction but still!

Where his mind was on the moment Varena's was on what was next. In a matter of seconds the woman had gotten her hands busy, gotten his pants undone and even pushed them down. Hell she even got him laying back on the cave floor. Their lips never parting for a second it seemed as they explored one another. His hands having moved up under her shirt to scratch softly at her back. All the way down as she got his cock free.

This was moving so fast, to fast even. The way she forced her tongue into his mouth, the way she grabbed his cock with almost eager enthusiasm. He had to groan when she started to rub his member against herself, the feeling of her hot and damp entrance against the underside of his cock was truly amazing. He had his moments of wonder, how it might feel to take Varena. But like this? When she was half aware and running off some sort of heated delusion? Rordan wasn't even sure she knew his name right now with how she was staring at him.

And so the man did the one thing no man would do in his situation. His hands moving down to her hips to hold her back, to keep her from burying his cock into her awaiting pussy. “Enough Varena.” He stated, soon sitting up as he kept her from moving her hips. “This isn't you. Stop this.” He added, to his surprise the woman actually fought him. Trying to push his hands away or sit down harder so she could get his cock inside of her. Up the point where they actually started to tumble, it taking a few moments before Rordan was able to roll on top of her. His hands grabbing her wrists and forcing them above her head, even though he was between her legs with his cock fully erect and at the ready, he didn't move down to take her. Simply staying there staring down at her and trying to get her to calm down.

Varena started to moan, a low, hungry sound, almost inhuman, as she started to press her hips down, eager to take him into her, but the sound was cut off as he grabbed her hips to restrain her. She blinked at him, confused for a moment as Rordan protested and told her to stop. Stop? He wanted to stop? This hadn't happened in any of her dreams before. She didn't want to stop though! Varena was horny and ready, so she glared at him a little and tried to push into him anyway, her hands grabbing his wrists to try and pull his hands off of her. If she were well, she would have given him a run for his money, but her illness brought her strength down to more what one would expect of a woman, and he was very strong, so she didn't even get his fingers to budge.

Rordan wasn't giving in so easily though, the two struggling for a moment before he pushed her off of him and ended up on top of her. The woman didn't even give up then though, her legs wrapping around his waist as he pinned her down, restraining her hands. “Nooo,” Varena whined plaintively, rubbing herself against him, trying to tempt him to keep going, not to stop. “No, I need you,” she protested softly, though as she said this her struggles grew weaker, and her eyes seemed to be having trouble staying open. The woman only managed to hold out for another few moments, going still as she struggled to stay away before she finally fell back into unconsciousness.

Varena's body relaxed, her legs falling from around his waist as she fell asleep, breathing heavily from her exertion of trying to get him inside her. It all was apparently a bit too much for her though, wearing her down and back into her sleep.

No, I need you.... The words echoed in Rordan's mind as he stayed on top of her. What powerful words... For a woman to tell a man that she needed him. It hit on so many levels that Rordan was stunned where he was, the moments blending together until Varena started to loosen up. Her protest ending all the way until she stopped fighting. Until she practically passed out once more. Leaving Rordan there on top of her with a choice to either take her now and be needed or to stop all together. With a heavy grunt he went with the latter, getting up and off of Varena.

He needed to leave. He needed to get away from her and somehow take out all this new pent up aggression. Rordan was quick to move to the mouth of the cave, the sound of bones beginning to snap could faintly be heard as the man willingly let loose. Better to be out in the jungle with no limitations then try to stay in the cave. Where the night before he turned into a wolf, now he turned into a were wolf. Growing by a couple feet, muscles enlarging, fur covering his body. Rordan let out a howl before he disappeared into the jungle, on the hunt now.

Rordan would be out all night, staying close to the cave but in no way caring over Varena like he had before. The following morning he returned, his belly filled with gods knows what creatures he hunted at night. Truth be told he even turned into his wolf form on his way back, using the werewolf form as much more a predator then anything else. Even for his larger wolf form it was easier to maneuver between trees and bushes in the jungle. Coming upon the cave he found other wolves beginning to move towards the mouth.

Quickly he ran to the mouth of the cave, showing his teeth and growling at the three others as he blocked their way. The other three immediately did the same, very unhappy with being obscured from the cave. It didn't take long before they started to bark at Rordan, Rordan returning with his own louder bark and snarl.

Varena slept through the night fitfully, occasionally reaching out in her sleep, subconsciously looking for Rordan, but never finding him. Once or twice she woke up completely and looked for him, but he wasn't there, so she fell back asleep, and in the morning she didn't remember any of it. She did feel some memories buzzing at the edge of her mind though, trying to seep back through into her consciousness. They never fully came to the surface though, still under a few feet of water, visible but out of focus.

She felt far better than she had the day before, more aware and awake, and extremely thirsty. She found a water skin and drank deeply from it, letting out a sigh of relief when she was finished and just sitting there for a moment. Varena tried to remember something, anything, but the last truly clear memory she had was Rordan picking her up. She assumed he had brought her to this cave for shelter but where was he? And how long had she been unconscious? There were those other memories, still sitting on just the edge of her consciousness, but they were being stubborn.

Varena stood carefully, finding her body felt incredibly weak, her legs almost seemed unable to support her, but they held out. She grew distracted though as she heard a commotion outside, looking around quickly and spotting her sword and shield near by. She grabbed it, but struggled to pick it up, “Damn it!” She cursed under her breath before she was finally able to get the blade under her control and headed for the entrance. The woman was greeted by the sight of three wolves who looked to be trying to get into the cave, and an exceptionally large one blocking them, the beasts all growling and barking at one another.

She was far too weak to fight off a bunch of wolves, especially that big one, where in the world was Rordan?! Still just in a shirt and panties, Varena felt especially exposed, so she went against her usual stubbornness and began to shout. “Rordan!” She held the sword up, pointed at the nearest wolf, the largest, though she was barely able to do so, hoping that she could at least intimidate it. “Rordan!” Varena shouted again, keeping her distance but standing her ground.

All four wolves reacted when they heard Varena shouting out Rordan's name. The larger wolf turning it's head so he could see Varena standing there with sword in hand. As if her presence was the trigger the larger wolf quickly charged one of the others, swiping it's it's claw to cut one of the wolf's faces. That got the three to quickly run away, Rordan following after them. Varena just seeing an attack followed by a chase into the jungle.

It took a few minutes but before long Rordan would come from the left side of the cave, completely naked. His eye patch and clothing in the cave. He wasn't sure what he was going to say, hell he wasn't even quite aware that he was completely naked till he stepped out from the bushes. The hot air around him swinging by. It wasn't as warm as Varena had been the night before but it definitely gave Rordan the notion that he was naked.

“Varena! You're awake!” Rordan called out, walking to the mouth of the cave before stopping in front of her. She still had a sword, and even in her weakened condition she was still intimidating. “There is a waterfall due east of us from here. I just went to take a quick dip when I heard you shouting. Everything ok?” The man asked, his mind much more focused on telling this lie instead of the fact that he was standing in front of her naked.

Rordan was definitely hairy. She probably didn't notice the night before but he didn't groom himself like Ulrich had. Sure every now and then one would cut excess hair and what not, but she could see the hair on his chest, his pubes, even the hair on his arms and legs. It wasn't quite thick like fur, but more pronounced then others. Almost described as feral if such a word could be placed on him. Without that eye patch she could see the pure white globe of an eye, a scar breaking his eyebrow in two just above as he stood there.

Varena jumped back a little when the largest wolf suddenly attacked one of the smaller wolves, and then just like that they all took off, the three smaller ones running from the larger one. What in the world was going on? She had no idea, but she was going to kill Rordan when he came back! Speaking of which, her companion finally made an appearance, coming out of the near by underbrush, completely naked and talking to her like this was all just completely normal. Varena did not return his greeting, glaring at him as he walked over, still holding onto her sword.

Seeing Rordan naked did summon up something, a memory, or was it a memory? She didn't think she'd ever seen him naked but for some reason there was a memory. He was naked, underneath her, touching her, the taste of his mouth, and a burning need. Varena's face turned a bit red and she wrenched her eyes from his body back up to his face, not having gotten a good enough look at the one wolf to realize that it took had been missing an eye like Rordan.

She was still holding her sword up a bit, not as well as she had been when she had thought she might have to fight some wolves though, frowning when Rordan asked if everything was okay. “Okay? No! You left me alone, unconscious, in the middle of the jungle? There were a bunch of wolves out here! what if they had come into the cave?!” Varena asked him, panting softly from exertion and coming down from a bit of an adrenaline rush, “And why are you naked?! Put on some fucking clothes or some-” it all seemed a bit much for her as her knees buckled and she started to fall, her head spinning violently.

“Easy there... woooo..” Rordan did his best to try and calm Varena down. His eyes on her sword as she stood there in confusion and anger. It didn't take long at all before she was back to her old self, shouting at him and questioning whatever he was doing. His eyes on hers for a second before her knees buckled and she started to fall. Rordan quick to catch her and scoop her back into his arms. “You really need to take it easy...” He added before going back into the cave, right to where their fire had died out to set her back on whatever make shift bed he made.

Rordan would go to his clothing in the cave, putting underwear and pants on followed by his shirt. Finding his eye patch he quickly put it back on, turning to face Varena again. “We need to change bandages again.” Rordan stated, pulling what remained of his medical supplied out and over to Varena. The man obviously not taking no for an answer. Slowly removing her bandages he would clean the wound once more. Finding it having closed nicely, there looked like a large bruise around the wound, discoloration from the poison. But other then that she looked fine. “You recover well..” Rordan stated, placing new crow's beard before bandaging her stomach one more time.

“You think you gonna be up for some actual food? Or should I make another stew?” Rordan asked, trying to keep all attention on the now instead of what she had seen moments before. It wasn't everyday Rordan let people see him in his other forms. And even then a fellow Hunter. So the further away he could get her attention the better in his mind. Though all night as he hunted, even now as she sat there in her skimpy clothing... He could only imagine how she came onto him, how he buckled.... How he wanted so bad to let her impale herself on his member. His eyes moving down for a second before quickly coming up to her own when she looked to him.

Varena didn't trust him, that much was obvious, now that she was awake and aware, and especially waking up in the situation that she had found herself in, any gratitude she might have felt for him taking care of her was a bit delayed. For now she was trying not to pass back out, dropping her sword as Rordan scooped her back up and walked back into the cave. She managed to give him a bit of a glare when he told her she needed to take it easy. “Kind of hard to do when you've got a bunch of wolves wanting to eat you,” Varena grumbled at him, sitting where he put her, not having the energy to get up even if she wanted to.

She looked away as Rordan got dressed, not looking back until he spoke of needing to change her bandage, laying back and letting him. The wound still felt very sore, the woman wincing every so often as he cleaned it, but obviously she was doing better, and would be good as new in no time. Varena was a fast healer, so it was no surprise to her. She sat back up though when he asked her about food, frowning a bit, “Maybe just some stew,” she told him, that was about as much patience as she had for his evasive tactics though. “Why were your clothes in the cave? Did you walk to the water fall naked? You know there are even plants out here that would happily snatch your cock off for dinner right?” She asked Rordan suspiciously.

He was acting weird, and Varena had a very strong suspicion that he was lying to her. She didn't know what about, or why, but he was definitely hiding something. She didn't know how she knew this considering she wasn't exactly close to Rordan, but maybe it was just that she was used to him being so abrasive. But now he was being nice to her, almost caring. She didn't know what to think of it.

“Stew ok.” Rordan nodded his head, a little sad though since he wanted to eat some actual game. But what was stopping him? Just cause he cooked for Varena didn't mean he was stuck to the food. Then again after making a good stew it wasn't like the man wanted to wait for another meal to be made. Complaining aside it wasn't that bad. He still had plenty of ingredients left over from the first time, just needing to hunt another rabbit or small critter.

He would look to her though when she continued her line of questions. She never stopped did she? Rordan staring at her for a few seconds before sighing, shaking his head a little as he looked out to the mouth of the cave. “Just like you were trying to snatch it last night?” Rordan mumbled to himself, though he quickly spoke up to answer her.

“I did walk to the water fully naked. I didn't want to put my cloths on afterwards and have them get wet. You have been passed out for pretty much two days I thought I could leave and come back with no hassle. Guess I was wrong. You're welcome for treating your wound, feeding you, giving water. You know saving your life for saving mine.” Rordan started to sound more and more like his good old asshole self as he continued to speak. Though he did say something that he never would of before, he admitted that she had saved his life.

Varena could go for some real food too but she didn't want to push her luck, so stew would just have to do for now. Maybe tonight or tomorrow she'd attempt something with more substance to it. He could eat what he wanted of course but he had asked, so she answered. She didn't catch what Rordan muttered, her head tilting to the side with a suspicious look, but when he answered she felt a flush of indignation mixed with regret. So maybe she had been a bit harsh and ungrateful but what did he expect when she woke up alone with a bunch of wolves outside?

“Well I wouldn't have had to save you if you had been paying attention instead of trying to show me up for winning our bet,” she snapped right back at Rordan. She definitely didn't waste any time going right back to how they'd been before, having little to no memory of the last two days. What Varena did remember only confused her, making her even more irritable. She gave a rough sigh though and quickly spoke up before Rordan could get angry with him, “No, stop. I'm sorry,” she told him with a tone of both resignation and exasperation, “Thank you for taking care of me. I am grateful, I just got a bit rattled waking up like that. You should have seen that one wolf, he was huge.”

Varena ran a hand over her face with a sigh, looking around and seeing her pants, she grabbed them and pulled them back on, feeling a little better fully clothed. She didn't know him well enough to feel completely comfortable traipsing around half naked. Of course she had no idea that she had practically tried to force herself onto Rordan the night before.

And get angry at her he did! Rordan's brow narrowed as he started to glare at her. Set aside from brothers in arms, he went out of his damn way to take care of her. To fucking be there for her and do the right thing. Hell he could of taken her in whatever fever struck mood that was she was in last night like some sort of savage. Disregarding any signs of respect for her! He could of- However that train of thought quickly died when she said stop and apologized. The man sighing softly as he calmed down and just looked at her.

Before long she had her pants on and was sitting there quiet, looking to him as he looked to her. “Forget about it. I'll be more thoughtful next time.” He said as he got up, going over to their gear to look it over. He wasn't sure what he was looking for, it was so much easier to be next to Varena when she was passed out. When she wasn't conscious enough to throw insult at him. Though she did apologize, that was definitely new.

“I'm gonna catch something for the stew. I won't be far.” Rordan added, grabbing his bow and a single arrow before he stopped, almost forgetting his boots. With everything in order he would leave. His mind was elsewhere though, why did he feel so content like this? In a cave with Varena, yet at the same time so irritated with her awake and depending on him? He would quickly find a rabbit, bringing it back before making a fire. Rordan didn't start any conversation with Varena, with the fire made he got the larger bowl fixed above it before he threw mushrooms and nuts as well as chunks of rabbit into the soon boiling water.

Varena could tell that he had gotten pretty angry with her there for a moment, she told herself she shouldn't care, he'd always been an asshole to her so he should really just get a taste of his own medicine. Instead she apologized, she didn't have the energy to argue with Rordan, and maybe it was time for them to just move on from all that. They were the two most experienced Hunters in the guild, and they'd just gone through a lot together, it would be petty of them to still just be hateful towards one another after this. He could have let her die, but he'd kept her alive, Varena knew she should be more grateful.

So it didn't fully set well with her when Rordan just dismissed her apology, frowning at him and wanting to press the issue, but deciding against it. She just sighed and looked away from him, their argument leaving a bitter taste in her mouth. Varena didn't apologize often, and definitely not to him, but suspected that not letting it go would just make things worse. So she just nodded when he said he was going to go catch something for the stew, watching Rordan leave before she laid back down.

Varena dozed off and on while he was gone hunting, dreaming sometimes when she would fall back asleep, dreaming about Rordan. The same 'memory' she had recalled earlier playing repeatedly, her mouth meshed to his, his body against hers, then he was under her, naked, his cock between her legs, not in her, but close, so close. She woke up each time he told her no, her body aching softly by the time he came back. Varena frowned, wishing he had stayed away a little longer, thinking that she would have liked to take care of the building tension between her legs, but wasn't about to do anything about it with him right there.

She stayed laying down while Rordan cooked, resting as she watched him, though her eyes were far off, lost in thought. She didn't know what to talk to him about, so she didn't say anything, thinking that he would prefer she just left him alone. Varena knew he didn't like her much, and no doubt she'd only made that worse, so she just kept to herself, though she did feel some measure of comfort having him near by. “It's kind of weird actually traveling with some one...” she remarked, blinking a little as she realized how that sounded, shaking her head a bit as she sat up, “I mean, I'm just not used to having some one around, but it's not so bad. Not as lonely.” Varena frowned, not liking that she had just admitted that she sometimes got lonely traveling by herself, “But I obviously suck at small talk so maybe it's for the best,” she said, trying to make light of it instead.

Rordan was left to stirring the stew and waiting. His focus elsewhere then on Varena. Anytime he took a moment to think about her it only led to what had happened the night before. How easy it was for Rordan to lose control when she kissed him, when she pressed to him. It was scary in a way, everything he did he made sure to keep within reason with some sort of purpose. But then was last night so out of the ordinary? On a basic level he was lonely, he wanted companionship. And even if Varena wasn't exactly all there she was trying to provide it for him. His mind racing back and forth by the time she spoke up to break the silence.

“No, you don't suck at small talk.” Rordan stated softly, looking to her then with a little bit of a smile. “Believe it or not I have enjoyed spending time with you. Even if it has been changing bandages and forcing you to take water down.” He added, keeping out what they had tried to do the night before. She hadn't exactly brought it up so maybe she didn't remember? He wouldn't be surprised with how hazy her eyes looked before.

“You keep recovering like this and we should be on our way in a day or so. Then we can travel a little more together back to Aramoor.” Rordan added with a smirk, looking back to the stew again to stir some more. “So tell me... This big wolf, anything else about it other then being big? Marks or scars or anything?” Rordan asked, from a Hunter's perspective it was a simple question about potential prey, but for Rordan he wanted to make sure she hadn't seen anything. Or if she did he would do his best to dispute it.

Varena didn't know if she really believed him when he told her that he had actually been enjoying spending time with her, even if she was unconscious. First off she wasn't sure how you could enjoy the company of some one who was unconscious and secondly, Rordan couldn't stand her, why would he enjoy her company, conscious or otherwise? She supposed he maybe didn't hate her like he had always tried to act like her did. Varena remembered what Frederick had told her, finding it more believable now but still... it was hard to completely wrap her head around it.

Still, Rordan did seem to be far more amiable than he ever had been before, so she sat and talked with him beside the fire. She shrugged a bit at his question about the wolf, “Not that I could see, I was trying to keep an eye on the other three as well. He had dark fur, that's about all I can tell you.” Varena shrugged a bit, grabbing the two bowls as the stew finished. She sat back and ate once she got her own bowl, “For some reason though he seemed to be fighting with the other three. Probably trespassing on his territory or something.”

When she finished eating, Varena put her bowl away and stood with a sigh, “Well, I feel disgusting. Where's that waterfall you were talking about? I could go with a wash myself.” She went to her bag, digging out a clean pair of clothes before she moved to wait for Rordan at the mouth of the cave.

Once the stew was ready he would first serve Varena before getting a bowl for himself. Everything seemed so much easier when she was passed out. Hell Rordan could relax and even go into another form and still have someone around, even if they were unconscious. It was like he was back to hiding and controlling himself, making sure to keep in check at every possible moment and detail. It was good to hear that she hadn't seen much of the large wolf at least.

Rordan found himself laughing a little when he heard her say she felt disgusting. The man looking to her for a moment before she asked where the waterfall was. He quick to finish his bowl of stew before getting up to join her, well at least to show her the way. “It's gonna be west.” Rordan said, walking out of the cave with Varena, taking his sword with him just in case. Even though they were in the middle of a jungle it was a rather nice day, sun up above, clouds light and fluffy in the air. Sounds of creatures amongst the trees and bushes. A paradise to some.

Rordan would lead Varena off for a few minutes into the jungle, his hand on his sword as he walked. As they continued the sound of a waterfall would start to play into their ears, all the way to the point where the two would emerge through some bushes to find a waterfall that formed a small little collection of waters before rushing off to form a stream. Rordan looking at it for a few seconds before turning to Varena. “You gonna be able to make it back to the cave on your own?” He asked, smirking as he stood there.

Varena followed him out of the cave, though she paused and her head tilted to the side a little when he said it was going to be to the west. “I thought you said it was east...” she recalled suspiciously, her eyes narrowing at him a little. She followed Rordan anyway though, her clothes over her arm as they walked through the jungle. The place might be paradise to some, but not to Varena, it was too hot and too humid. She was much happier beside a fire at night with snow falling softly outside, with no sound but the wind and the crackle of the fire.

Thoughts of such things were very far from her mind right now as they reached the picturesque water fall. She would have to admit that it was very nice, nodding when Rordan asked her if she could make it back to the cave on her own. “Yeah, since I know what direction it's actually in now,” she answered, her tone a bit sarcastic. She had no idea what he had been up to when he'd come running out of the forest naked, but Varena decided it was best to just let it go. She watched Rordan leave and once she was sure he was out of sight she stripped down, now naked herself. She removed the bandage last, seeing the unsightly wound but thinking that a good wash would be good for it.

It felt good just to get out of those clothes, but it felt really good once she started wading into the water. It was clear and cool, but not too cold, just enough, Varena letting out a content sigh as she simply sat down once she was about waste deep. She just sat there for a moment, enjoying the feeling of the water rushing over her skin, which was particularly pale against the dark stone that formed the bottom of the pools. After a moment she completely submerged herself, disappearing under the surface of the water and just staying that way for a long moment before coming back up, taking a deep breath of air to satisfy her lungs.

This little bit of fun done with, she began to wash away the layer of sweat and dust from her days in the cave, feeling like she was washing away the last of the illness with it. She washed her wound carefully, and then her hair. She had no soap but this was better than nothing. When Varena was done she waded back to the shore, rivulets of water running down her bare skin as she got out of the pools. She had brought nothing to dry with though and instead perched up onto one of the large, relatively smooth rocks that dotted the shore. This one was in the sun so she basked in the beam of light, letting it warm and dry her, her eyes closed as she rested.

As she lay there, Varena found her mind wandering back to the dream she could now recall better than she could earlier. She assumed it was a dream anyway, the thought that it could be a memory was just too preposterous and embarrassing. Either way, it was pleasant to think about, remembering the taste of his mouth as they kissed, his body against hers, his cock between her legs. Varena didn't even realized she'd started to rub her fingers against the spot where his cockhead had been until she was doing it. She paused, before deciding that now was as good a time as any, and continued.

She let her imagination take over from when he'd had her pinned down, only instead of telling her no he was giving her what she wanted. Varena let out a soft noise as she slipped her fingers inside herself, mimicking what Rordan was doing to her in her mind, her breathing growing deep and fast as she fingered herself. Her legs spread and her hips twitched as she worked, her other hand gripping and massaging one of her breasts to help with stimulation. After a few days of no sex but apparently thinking about it plenty, it took no time before Varena was moaning and squirming on top of the rock, her hand working vigorously between her legs, until her back arched and she gasped. Her fingers pressed hard into her g spot and she came with a low, wanton moan, staying in that position for a moment as her orgasm worked it's way through her body.

When it finally subsided she relaxed, and lay there for a moment, panting softly before she sat up and slipped back into the water, though only up to her hips, washing herself before she climbed back out, letting her legs dry a little before she got dressed in her clean clothes and started to head back to the cave, feeling much better now.

Rordan left Varena to clean herself, sighing softly since she hadn't pressed too much into the west and east whole situation. She definitely gave him the look. That look of I caught you but it didn't seem to matter much, Rordan just letting it go and thankful that Varena did as well. Maybe if she had gotten attacked it would have been worse, but he was sure to protect her all the same. The thought of the woman still on his mind as he made his way back... As he turned around. The man finding a spot off to the side amongst the bushes to watch Varena. He was a little surprised though, unable to see her anywhere in the water. It taking a few moments before she would suddenly come up for air in all her naked glory. Images of the night she came onto him rushing back into his head, an obvious bulge beginning to form in his pants as he watched.

He watched all the way till she came out of the water, finding herself a nice spot on a large rock. Rordan's eyes fixed on her ass, her breasts... Just taking in every inch of her body as it seemed to be glowing with what water remained on her skin. Somehow feeling regret now as he squatted there, he should of let her continue that night.. Even if she wasn't fully aware of what she was doing. Rordan would have to get his kicks back in Aramoor, another trip to the brothel no doubt. His mind elsewhere until he saw Varena's hand slip between her legs. Was she masturbating? Continuing to spy on her Rordan couldn't help but be enthralled, she was masturbating. He never took Varena to be so carnal. She was very reserved it seemed, at least around him. Strip away that hide of hers, get her by herself... And she was like this? Definitely interesting.

Rordan watched in a little bit of an awe as Varena masturbated, plunging her fingers inside of herself as she seemed to squirm and arch her back. The man's hands keeping at his sides however, even if this was proper stimulation for him to masturbate as well. All the way to the point where she climaxed Rordan's eyes were fixed on her, just another instance where he should of acted. Should of returned and taken her on that rock. When Varena finished and went for her clothing Rordan would leave, quick to get back to the cave for another bowl of stew. Once Varena had returned Rordan couldn't bring himself to look at her. Unable to really stop himself from asking her, “You enjoy yourself?”

Varena wouldn't know what to do if he had come back out of the bushes and tried to join her as she lay on that rock pleasuring herself. She probably would have refused, screamed at him and thrown something at him. She was fantasizing about him, but she still barely knew Rordan. That hadn't mattered with Ulrich, or the Orcs, which was maybe a bit hypocritical of her, but this was different. He was a fellow Hunter, some one she had to see on a regular basis, she slept with Ulrich and with the orc brothers because she would be done with them after that, she wouldn't have to worry about consequences. Varena kept the two sides of her life very separate, professional and private, they never crossed, they never came close, and she planned on keeping it that way.

Getting back to the cave, she looked at Rordan, quirking a brow at his question and how he wasn't really looking at her. She paused, eyes narrowing for a moment as she wondered if... the woman shook her head, refusing to let the suspicion that he had seen her masturbating really sink in. If she did, Varena knew she wouldn't be able to let that go, even if she couldn't prove it. So instead she just took the question at face value, nodding a little, “Yeah, I did, glad to get all that sweat off,” she answered Rordan before she sat down by the fire, her hair still a little damp. Whether it was the clean clothes, the refreshing bath, or the afterglow of an orgasm, she certainly looked a lot better than she had before her bath.

“I think I'll be well enough to travel tomorrow,” she told him as she blew at her stew a bit before eating a little. Varena's mind wandered to what she'd been thinking on a bit on the way back to the cave, eating another bite or two before speaking up. “You know, you and I have been in the Guild longer than almost anyone else who is still active,” she remarked. There were only two Hunters that had been around longer than them, but everyone knew they'd be retiring soon. “But I don't know anything about you,” hell they had exchanged more words during this trip than they had in all the years they'd been in the Guild together.
