Aether met his gaze, her own eyes looking sympathetic. "Judging by the condition he's in right now..." she murmured, "My guess is that he... isn't, anymore." She crouched down next to the leaf-adorned Eeveelution, gingerly nudging an uninjured patch on his shoulder. "Hey, are you alright?" she repeated quietly. "How'd you get here?"

Van growled. "You don't need to ask that. It's clear what happened to him. His owner beat and abandoned him." He smiffed the leafy Eeveelution again, but came away with a confused look on his face. "Wait a second... He doesn't have a Grass type scent to him... He kinda doesn't really have a scent other than human."

Aether gave a tiny, thoughtful hum. "Going off of his appearance, he must have been abandoned not too long ago... a few days, at most. Maybe the Grass-scent just... faded? I mean, he could have been born in a human home. So maybe the human smell just... kinda replaced or overpowered his Attribute's?"

She broke off, shaking her head firmly. "Oh, why are we just standing here? He's obviously injured!" She blinked kindly at the Leafeon, smiling as her Caring Nature instinctively kicked in. "I'll go get you some Oran berries, okay?" then added, "I'll be right back," to Van. She turned and dashed towards the nearest Berry bush, a few meters off to the side. Its fragile twigs and sturdier branches were heavy and laden with the healing blue fruit.

The blue-and-cream Shiny practically dove headfirst into the bush's midst, where she knew the best Berries of the bundle would lay, untouched by a wandering Pokemon's hunger. Most tended to avoid squirming their way through the uncomfortable obstacles that blocked any food growing on these trees and bushes just for a meal, so they were usually left unscathed, the farther in the fruit, while those growing a long the outer sprouts of the foliage were made into a quick meal.

She grunted a little, as her fur snagged and stuck now and again, forcing her to stop, or otherwise risk tearing clumps of fur from her body. The little ribbon-ends on her chest reached forward to grab and part the branches ahead of her, while her ears splayed flat against her head to avoid being cut or snagged at. She wiggled her hips through a particularly tight squeeze, between a V-shape made by two interlocked branches, and gave a tiny tip of triumph when she reached her prize.

Aether gingerly nipped a pair of the large, supple Berries from their stem, and caught the jointed section in between them in her jaws, careful not to break their fragile skins, and waste any of the fruits' precious, healing juices. She emerged a few minutes later, after a small episode of shuffling, the sounds of snapping twigs, And a few mattered curses. A leaf or piece of bark stuck to her fur here and there, but she was otherwise unscathed. In her jaws, the two Oran berries, nearly twice the size of her paws, hung.

She bounded gracefully over, and gently laid them down by the Leafeon's head, on a clean patch of grass. "Here," she murmured, backing up a few paces to resume standing at Van's side.

Van barely managed to get out an "Okay" before Aether dove back out of the bushes. The Vaporeon sat down, keeping an eye on the scratched-up Leafeon. "What sort of human would do this to a Pokémon?" he wondered aloud. He kept a close watch on the leafed Eeveelution, even putting a paw near its head in case it moved when he wasn't looking.

The aquatic vulpine looked up at the shiny's return. He laughed softly, seeing her appearance. "Looks like you've been rolling about in the foliage, Aether." When she came to stand beside him, Van started licking gently at her fur, cleaning out the leaves and bits of bark.

She gave a slightly-flustered grin, face warming beneath her fur. She swiped her tongue over a forepaw, and rubbed it over her face in attempts to make the fur there lay down in the correct direction. She murmured a quiet thanks to Van as he helped pick the bits of undergrowth from her blue-and-cream pelt.

Van kept cleaning Aether's fur, tossing quick looks in the injured Leafeon's direction every now and then. When he finally got the last little twig from the shiny's pelt, he sat by her side. "Looks like our friend here is unconscious... Maybe we could move him to a safer place?" His obsidian eyes narrowed in thought. "I don't want to hurt him any more than he is, but I don't think leaving him here is a good idea either."

Nether was prowling about the shadows of the densest trees in the Safari, a cross look on his dark features. The Shiny Umbreon could smell the scents if female arousal in the air, and he was going NUTS! All hit and bothered, but with no suitable females to mate with. Arceus, at this point, he'd be willing to breed with another species entirely! The same gender, even!

He could feel his member, trying to break through his restrained instincts, to twitch openly in the air. But no, in a forest full of lunatics, he would not loose his cool just like that.

Golden eyes glinted as He saw a figure shift ahead of him. He bit his lip in restraint.

Akira, just like all the other Pokemon inside the Safari, was going through a time called mating season. For the Umbreon, it was her first time to experience her heat which struck her as a weird feeling, she felt so hot in the one spot on her body. She could smell the mingling scents of arousal in the air as almost every Pokemon there mated with those of their own or even other species due to their desperation.

The Umbreon just moved about, trying to ignore that feeling inside of her, to mate with someone, but she wanted to do it with her own kind as much as possible which was why she was on a frantic search for a male Umbreon. As the scent of one hit her nose, she hastily followed where the scent was coming from before she found herself a few feet away from a male Umbreon. She didn't really know what to say or do now that she found him and just hoped that through her scent alone he would know what to do.

A male Absol lay on his side in the shade of a swath of trees, the dark type really despising the heat. His nose twitched as the scent of pheromones crept into his little napping place but he continued to lay there. He had not yet seen another Absol in this new side of the safari he had traveled to with his companion, and the other females didn't seem too keen on mating outside of their species. He recognized this scent though and suppressed a smirk as it drew closer.

Emerald eyes peered out from a nearby bush, watching the resting Absol intently. Satisfied that her friend was sleeping the female Purrloin crouched, her purple tail swaying in excitement, ready to pounce. The Absol knew she was there but remained still, enjoying the game. The Purrloin suddenly pushed off with a great leap, aiming for the male's back, a yowl of triumph dancing on her lips.

"Got you Sera!" the Absol exclaimed, rolling over with his limbs outstretched. Serafina's yowl turned to a cry of shock as she was trapped in a grip of white fur.

She hissed, "No fair Razco!" She managed to get away from her friend's paws and stalked off indigently. Razco let out a cry of protest and tried to follow after her but since she was smaller than him by two feet he quickly lost her in the undergrowth. Giving up, he made his way out into a clearing, stretching. He gazed around, looking once more for a mate. He would meet up with his friend later.

Serafina watched him quietly from a bush. She could feel her heat pulsing inside her core and was becoming more desperate to find a partner. She was nearly tempted to persuade Razco, but until she evolved it would be much too difficult for them to mate. She sighed to herself before perking her ears, wandering off to find a male that would breed with her.
