Could life be any more dull? Sage tapped her foot as she sat on the bus stop watching cars pass by. Red. Blue. Black. White. This is what she was reduced to. Tallying the colors as they passed and hoping the grey sky wouldn't deepen into black and open up above her. She sighed softly unsure of how much longer she could wait for him. She'd already wasted ten of her nineteen years, hoping he'd come back. Hoping he'd be the father she knew he could be and each one of that ten she was disappointed. Adjusting her black skirt she debated leaving.

It was silly anyway. These thoughts. These dreams of him holding her the way he used to. These desires to press her lips against his and wrap her thighs around him in a way no daughter should her father. She'd read up on it...this...taboo. She understood why he'd run from her. She respected it. But now that she was old enough? Well...it'd been silly to hope. A figure joined her on the bench, but she didn't look at him. All Sage did was adjust the strap of lace beneath her white blouse and sighed.

"The bus doesn't really come to this stop anymore. Just an old bench," she said to the stranger, pushing a few strands of dark hair from her face.
