* It was 2069 when a divine miracle has occurred. American scientists in Colombia discovered a new mutation in the human DNA when a newly born girl was able to charge a cell phone simply by touching it. Regardless of how amazing this discovery is, and how useful it would prove to be, both governments agreed to keep the matter a secret. The girl was detained in secret US laboratory in Seattle, and after months of experiments and tests, the girl died before she turned 6 months old. Her name was Amanda, and now, in 2070, she is viewed as a martyr to all those with mutated DNA.

* Several other instances were recorded in the upcoming decade, and the UN is working hard to find and detain all those with special powers. Powers gradually grew to be a fearful thing, while one man could heal injuries, another could cause earthquakes. These abilities had to be detained, and controlled. They can not live with the normal population, and the population can not be aware of them.

* Through the use of chemicals and other twisted means, several of these so called "Specials" have now been tamed and joined the government to find and capture newly reported specials. Their abilities proved helpful to combat aggressive specials and also erase any tracks of their existence.

* In 2070, scientists involved in the project are slowly changing their views. The rapidly increasing number of specials reported made them think that the exposure is only a matter of time, and all they managed to discover was a few chemicals that can temporarily disable the powers. They started thinking differently, a faction of the scientists took the more reasonable approach and decided to teach the specials to control their powers and live civilly, while others worked day and night to permanently disable the powers.

* In 2071, scientists who wanted to educate and train the specials managed to convince the higher ups to establish a secret training ground for specials everyone. It was basically a college, teaching students whatever normal kids learned, as well as a few extra classes to learn about each others powers and how to control them, as well as how to keep them a secret. Scientists who were still determined to disable the abilities saw that most of their subjects are now enrolled in this school, so they decided to be teachers anyways.

* In 2076, the school's officials had to worry about the first generation of graduates. Judging that they were still too dangerous to set free, they decided to imprison them in what they called "Detention".

* It's 2080, and ever since 2076, every graduate was sent to Detention. New students entered the school with hopes of rehabilitation in the school and then graduating to freedom. Little they know that they were going to be imprisoned as soon as they 'graduate'.

Her feet kicked the air before her eyelids opened. Her phone alarm wasn't particularly loud but she had always been a light sleeper. Reem jumped up in bed and immediately reached for the source of disturbance, and already knowing what buttons to press, she swiftly silenced the alarm and only after that did she gently open her eyes. She pulled her body up and sat on her bed, then started rubbing her eyes clear and slowly processed that she had just woke up. It was Monday, the first boring day of the first boring week in her boring school. This is only her third semester, yet she hates her school with a passion. She viewed it as useless, boring and, using her words, lame.

Her eyes darted at her sleepy roommate. Lucky bitch didn't have to wake up so early and attend a lame class. Reem however, had to quickly freshen or she would be late to class. While it is true that her grades held absolutely no importance to her, she didn't want to fail classes and be forced to spend more years in school. Professors in her school for an odd reason seemed to aim to have as many Fs in their classes as they possibly can. It was as if they didn't want people to graduate. That did worry Reem a bit, but as long as Cs are achievable if she drinks many cups of coffee before the exams, she didn't care much. Though, that was her last semester. She started the semester carelessly, and only started to study hard the week of the finals after she had realized how high she needs to score in order to pass.

Her ability was self duplication. She loved it, and the fact that her ability had been suppressed throughout the year she had spent in school drove her crazy. Teachers in her lame school didn't trust students enough to practice their powers. Every week, students were given syringes to consume in order to suppress their abilities till the next injection was handed to them. Most students adhered to that rule, and many were mislead into believing that the injects will eventually 'cure' them and that taking them is for their own good. Of course, since the mutation is already present in their DNA, nothing they consume will alter that. The scientists working in the school were simply buying time for themselves until they find a permanent way to fix these 'afflictions' as they though. To them, every single student here, regardless of how lethal their abilities were, are a threat to mankind and need to be contained, at least.

Within fifteen minutes, Reem was completely dressed up. Black had always been her favorite color ever since she was kid. Even though many events had altered her personality, which changed her from the fun vigorous kid to the sarcastic pessimist teenager, she remained loyal to her favorite color. She wore her black, figure-hugging pants that embellished her curves from waist to hip. Her pants comfortably stopped by her knees, leaving the last quarter of her legs for air to fiddle with. Her torso was nicely covered with her red and black blouse, which had the writing "Lebanon" written on it. Five minutes was all she needed to walk from her dorm to her first classroom, she sat on the last seat on the row backed and flanked to the right by a wall. That was her favorite place to sit at, the view wasn't terrible, but it was quiet enough for her to take a nap, easy for her to use her phone without her teacher noticing, and granted her the least probability of being asked in class.

Campus was a huge underground facility. All the students are kept unaware of their whereabouts, they don't even know if they are still in the US. They have no idea how to escape, and are only aware of where they sleep, where they eat, and where they study. They know where the management sector is, but no student has ever set foot there. There is a small clinic they were instructed to attend in case they needed medical assistance, and an advising office for them to contact the school's management in case they needed to report an incident. Cameras are installed everyone on campus, and even though there is mobile network coverage, they are told directly by the school management that all calls and texts are monitored. Internet service is present, but the number of sites accessible is very limited - most of which are learning sites.

Dr. Archon, or Dr. Nero Alexander Archon IV, PhD, if you're being formal, was probably the most well-liked teacher at the School. Quirky and humorous, he never seems to be in a poor mood. He is the lead researcher at the School, but also the teacher of many science courses given by the School. His genius was well-known and well-appreciated by the teachers and students alike.

But he had a secret. He was not a natural genius- his mind functioned like a computer, processing mathematic data and making calculations in instants. He could connect to any network, get around any security, and manipulate any device with a touch. He literally had the power of the internet in his mind.

This, of course, leads to the school discovering a roaming computer that can back past their blockades and firewalls, break into databases, and read their files. For years they've been trying to trace it... To no avail. The IP address changes every time, and it never uses the the same data or connection method. Within the school files, this hacker and vigilante is known as "the Shadow".

On this current day, Archon relaxed in his office, his door thrown open to welcome any students in need of tutoring, but inside his mind he was considering treason against him employer. The School needed to be stopped in its awful policy. What was the good of educating these kids and keeping them here if only to imprison them? He had to get them free. He had to free those in the hidden detention center and organize others to rebel. He could communicate with students via cell phones, cloaking the messages in impossible encryptions, but how could he know who to trust?

Calypso wandered the halls early, enjoying the silence while it lasted. Three years to the day she'd been here, hating every moment of it. She didn't want to learn about other's powers, or her own, if she couldn't use them. It agitated her beyond belief. Her first year in school she was labeled as a problem child again, trying everything in her power to not take their stupid ability suppressants. When that didn't work, she became known as the girl who smoked weed in the bathroom for a year and a half before getting caught. It came a shock to everyone- what with this school being one of the strictest that the world had ever seen. It was a miracle she'd even found a supplier let alone gotten away with smoking for so long.

contemplating her last three years here she laughed softly. The young woman's wavy brown hair bouncing as she shook her head. Not only was she forced to be sober now, but also forced to be normal. The two things she absolutely hated in this world. As Calypso wandered she came across Dr. Archon's open door and decided to wander in. Her hazel eyes widened as she saw him relaxed at his desk. "Oh... Sorry. I didn't... I thought I was the only one who got up so dang early in this place." She sighed and relaxed back into her usual emotionless state.

Although most people figured it was a tough-girl act, Calypso just felt numb without her abilities. Without a drug to numb how aware she was that she didn't have them anymore, she had an emotionless look plastered to her face everyday. Except in the rare even that she was surprised or happy. The young woman pulled her black jacket closer around her, hugging herself. Staring above the good Doctor's head. He's so handsome for a teacher.... Just, ugh. she thought to herself and turned her eyes down to her wrist-watch. Still an hour before class. Her ripped skinny jeans were her signature, with her black heels. The shirt under her black jacket was the only thing that changed day-to-day really. Today it was a button-down white shirt. The top two buttons were undone to reveal some clevage.

The only good thing about this school was that she could get away with wearing what-ever she liked, when-ever she wanted. It was their way of keeping her calm after the incidents that incurred with her before.

Faria rolled out of bed, and without much thought rose from her bed. The woman wore blue short-shorts with a drawstring, and a matching V-neck tanktop to bed last-night and this morning she was too hungry to care. The great thing about being a graduate.... Well aside from being trapped against your will... Was that she had no dress code, no rules at all besides the obvious: No leaving. Ever.

She ran her fingers through her rich blond hair and threw her door open, walking barefoot out into the halls. Her purple toenails freshly painted the night before, finger-nails to match. "Why can't food come to me?" She sighed walking down the hall to the kitchen area of her little apartment-like dorm. The other great thing about being a graduate was, they were allowed to live co-ed. Granted there were still cameras to monitor them, and the occasional checks. It genuinely wouldn't be that bad, if you didn't know what the outside world was like.

The girl made a quick bowl of cereal and ate it all in about five minutes. She cleaned up her dishes and opened the main door to her apartment-style dorm and yawned. This was as normal as life would get for her, until she either got out (impossible) or she agreed to work for them to capture other people like her (Never happening). So, she was pretty much stuck. Blue eyes peered out, looking for anyone else who may be up and about at such an early hour.

Mithos stirred, his mind blank as he continued to sleep. Only on the faintest edge of his consciousness did anything register, the dull sound of the centralized air conditioning finally turning on in the early hours of the morning. He stirred once more, his long brown hair matted down to his face and pillow as he continued to sweat profusely. Despite discarded sheets, clothes, and bedding, he was still overheating in the cramped room that the "school" afforded him.

A loud click, followed by an even louder humming sound that resonated in the room confirmed that the centralized air conditioning was indeed working. Further confirmation was given in tangible proof, shivers running up and down his body as the cold air fed directly into the face of the sleeping man.

He stirred once more, the sensations of suddenly being cold, and the air on his face waking him. Dark green eyes opened upon the world of the living once more, their edges tearing up and stinging as the sweat beaded on his forehead before rolling against the eyes themselves, causing him to blink profusely in indifference. He continued looking at the metal grating against the simple white paneling of the ceiling, contemplating in purely apathetic nature the meaning of having a vent placed in such a way. Bored at the possibilities he ran a single hand through the strands of his brown hair, displeased to find that it was as greasy as it was sweaty. Regardless of how he felt about it himself, or how others felt about it, the first action of the day would be to take a shower.

He slid both legs off the side of the bed, pivoting against the mattress as he did so, both feet landing on the cold floor of the small room that was more a cell than a room. Cracking both shoulders and back, he stood up, before grabbing freshly laid out clothes from the night before and tucking them in under his arm. Completely nude, and not caring for the fact, he walked out from under the door frame of the bedroom, before heading towards the shower.

Walking down the lit hallways of the detention area, he continued to enjoy the silence of the hallway, glad that there were no people in the immediate vicinity. It wasn't that he was shy about his body, for heaven knows it was not like they had privacy over the last two decades of being with the "school". It was just better than having to justify a view point that was purely a matter of opinion, with those that may not share so much a thing in common with,.

Unknown to him, however, was that there was already someone awake, their blue eyes scanning the hallway for any signs of activity.

Faria stretched, closing her eyes and yawning as she stepped out into the hall, then sighed as she opened her eyes again and blushed. "Oh fuh..." she covered her mouth and took a step back toward her door as Mithos passed. She didn't really know what to say or do. Other than stare stupidly after his naked form. She shivered then, the cool on the floor finally seeping into her bones and feet. She put her hand into her blond hair and shook it out; slightly confused. Halfway curious.

The woman padded after him, "Excuse me, but, why didn't you put boxers on at least?" she asked highly embarrassed for herself for even following after him to ask. Noe she felt all kinds of stupid. her cheeks starting that burn all over again. "Excuse me." she let her words fall flat. Shyness getting to her in her half aware state. What was she doing? chasing after a naked man, yes. Why? to ask stupid and pointless questions he probably wouldn't answer? yes. What's wrong with me? Gah!

So it begun, already an onlooker questioning him as to why he did the things he did, without stopping to really have thought about it. Dropping the clothes from under the pit of his right arm into his hand, he held it so that it covered the front of his form, before turning to face her.

"Oh... you know..." he paused, saying in an overly sweet voice. "I just figured it was such... perfect weather to go strolling in the buff. Nothing like getting that morning airconditioning to the groin." He was clearly mocking the situation he found himself in, but in a way that was making light of the situation without belittling the woman. They were all stuck here in this detention and would probably remain so until the outlived their usefulness. There was no need to make enemies, but he wasn't exactly on the market for friends either, the majority of the people having come across as slightly sociopathic.

"In all honesty, it's better than having to clean clothes I would've worn to the shower anyway. This way I am at least saving some of the effort here." He shifted his clothes a bit more, making sure that the now unfolded pants covered himself with a modicum of decency, not that he cared. It's not like his ass wasn't on display or every other part of him from the years of being monitored. However, it was to protect her modesty, or in other words, to keep her off his back.

He gave a nod of the head, before turning around again, getting ready to walk towards the shower. He stood rather tall against the lighting that had back-lit him from down the hallway, the glow of the lights through the doorway and off the sterile environment illuminating every nook, cranny, and imperfection of his form. Standing at nearly six feet four inches tall, he stood in stark contrast to the overly white tones of the sterile environment, his back side well toned and pulled into muscle groups that were sufficiently defined as to give him a fit look.

Dr. Archon looked up as Calypso entered his office, flashing her a small smile. "Ah, the lovely Calypso. Yes, I am awake. Sleep is for the dead, and to die is but to sleep." He said with a chuckle, standing slowly, setting aside the nuclear physics book he had been casually browsing. He considered it slightly. "There are some grammatical errors in the book, and several biased statements, but it's an acceptable textbook. Perhaps I'll use it for our advanced lessons. Can't get the Feds to allow me to build a miniature nuclear reactor of course, so experiments will be severely limited..." He muttered, tapping his fingers absentmindedly before snapping to the present.

"But that's not important. Was there reasoning behind you coming? My services and mind are yours to use." He said, returning to his seat, shrugging off the light suit coat he work and running his finger through his dark hair. "Trouble with science or mathematics? Emotional stress? Feeling trapped an unable to escape? Getting strange visions of the future?" He suggested lightly, his eyes intently watching her, gauging her usefulness to his potential rebellion.

Meanwhile, in another part of the building, senior student Dante Fero strode quickly down a hall. He missed the days when he could simply blink into existence wherever he desired. But the damn Scholl had rid him of that right. That ability.

Recently he had been approached by Dr. Archon, his favorite teacher, and informed of the school's graduation policy. They agreed to assemble a group of trustworthy students and work together to overthrow the guards of the school. To do this, however, they would need power. Archon, so Dante believed, needed the students because he had no power of his own. The good Doctor, though his skills at chemistry limited, had devoted such brainpower to developing an anti-serum for the power-suppressant that he was nearly at the breakthrough point.

Then the rebellion's plans could begin.

Marcos strode the halls with a slight apprehension, no one had been in his dorm room although he thought that their was someone else living there. Being new he had been blindly looking for his class, unsure of where to go exactly only halfheartedly following where others were walking. He didn't like this place, every time he looked up he saw almost the exact same ceiling, it bothered him not being able to see the sky. It felt like a prison walking within these walls with all the surveillance being around, it was the complete opposite of what he was used to.

His ability was taken straight away as he got to this place and he didn't know exactly how to feel about that. On the one hand, he had only discovered it close to a month ago and was disappointed that he couldn't explore this power more in depth. However he was relieved as well, not knowing what he could do and possibly being a threat to everyone around him.

His thoughts were interrupted as he bumped into another body and almost falling backwards. Not paying attention to where he was going, Marcos went to apologize to the person. Looking up to the student he saw another male around his age with pale skin and bright white hair, to Marcos he looked extremely unusual.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going." Marcos apologized to the other special human.

Dante was shaken out of his own thoughts by the collision, though years of martial arts training kept him steady and on his feet. The other male, who appeared a bit lost and confused, did not fair so well, stumbling backwards and nearly falling.

"Not a problem, it was probably partially my fault. And if my powers weren't being suppressed, we wouldn't have this problem." He scowled slightly. "That's not important. You don't look familiar, you new? I'm Dante." He introduced himself with a smirk and a slight bow. "Senior, so i know my way around the place. You look lost. You wouldn't happen to have Dr. Archon first slot today, would you?" Dante continued, a small smile on his face.

With her head resting on one fist, Reem's eyes remained locked at the smart phone's screen in her hand. She didn't have access to many websites; which was disappointing but then again, she knew how to entertain herself. When her phone's clock suggested that it was time for class, she raised her sight to the board and then an eyebrow when she failed to spot an instructor. That wasn't usual. Their instructors were scientists, and worked for the government. This wasn't a normal school where people can slack off, to get a job here one needs to be fully diligent and loyal. Having a teacher late, even for a few seconds, was something new to her.

Reem sighed when a man came into view and introduced himself as the class T.A. This was the closest she had been to a cancelled class ever since she got thrown in this prison of a school. "Oh well" Reem sighed as she rolled her eyes and pulled out her notebook. She wasn't going to take notes, it was just for cover so that she can continue playing with her phone. Who cared about their degree? It's not as if she will benefit from whatever they teach in this school. Her eyes roamed the class, many poor souls listened to James introduce himself and talk about the class in utmost attention. She knew better.

Looking back at her phone, she bit her bottom lip and rubbed her chin as she contemplated at the list of games she had installed on her phone. After staring for a few seconds, her fingertip reached for the left side of the screen and tapped the 'Poker' application's icon. Starting up a new game, she stared closely as she awaited her cards to be dealt. Anyone looked at her eyes from a far can tell that her hand was as bad as it can be, she folded and awaited the CPU to process the other player's moves. There was no real money involved in these games. However, money held no value to her and most of the students because she didn't have to worry about buying anything. Everything is handed to her by the government in exchange for her freedom, suppressing her power, and running tests on her like a lab animal. On the list of students hating that, Reem's name was the first.

Very few teachers would notice her playing with her phone in class. Most of those who spot her turn a blind eye because they do want her to fail and not graduate. She didn't know which type James is, but she took the gamble.

"Dr. Archon?" He questioned as he pulled out his transcript from his jacket. Taking a quick look at his first class, he was surprised to see he did in fact have Archon. He wasn't quite sure how classes worked but he didn't question it.

"Yeah I do have him, could you take me there please?" This Dante guy seemed nice enough and Marcos felt it would be better living in this place with at least one person as a friend.

Forgetting his manners he quickly introduced himself,
"Oh sorry, my name is Marcos."

Occasionally, Reem's eyes would sway away from her well-concealed smart phone and roam the space around her. It was a way of relaxing her eyes, checking how the class was going to make sure she wasn't missing anything that was too important, and continue pretending to be paying attention to class. Truth was, even though her eyes saw James, all that went through her mind was on how much to bet on her current hand. Seeing that she had the king of spades in her hand and that the king of hearts was on the digital table shown in her screen, she upped the stakes and raised the bets while she hoped for another pair. Biting her lips in excitement, she raised her eyes again and this time and for a second she tuned in James and listened to his point of view regarding multitasking. "No Reem, no need to argue.. let it go" her inner self begged to calm her down. Her eyes narrowed and heartbeat escalated as she raised her hand high in a request to speak up.

"Stupid". She imagined her inner self as a mini version of herself slamming her head against the table in frustration of Reem's decisions. The girl didn't agree with Jame's assessment of the human's ability to multitask. After all, before she came into his lousy school, she was able to cook, dance, read, sleep and shop all in the same time. Who's James to tell her that humans aren't capable of doing that? First abduct her, then silence her power, then deny that she was once able to multitask? Reem took that as an insult, even if James didn't mean it that way. Her enthusiasm to speak up got the best of her and she even forgot to hide her phone in her pocket or behind her notebook.

"I was able to multitask once, before I took the 'cure' they gave us" Reem said as soon as James would notice her hand in the air, but not necessarily after he would grant her permission to speak up. "Does that make me not human?" she asked sarcastically. Her tone carried hints of disapproval manifested in intentionally fake innocence and confusion in her tone. She turned her head to the right and darted her eyes at the camera that monitored the class aware that more protest would get her in trouble especially that she had voiced it before a crowd of students. Her eyes then shifted back to James, eagerly awaiting for his explanation. All students in the classroom forgot about Jame's request to name what they had read or been taught before, and turned their heads to direct their eyes at Reem as she spoke up.

"Why in blazes did you have to speak up?" her consciousness reprimanded her. She could have easily remained focused on her smart phone and avoided any incident with the higher ups. Last time she had voiced her dissatisfaction with the school's policy, she got a severe penalty in her grades and barely passed that semester. She hoped her curiosity wouldn't get her in trouble, surely James would understand how she felt. After all, he was a student after all.

Dante smiled slightly. "Dr. Archon it is then. Come along, Marcos." He said, starting off at a light jog for one of the buildings, leading the younger boy down several hallways and up a flight of stairs. Then, with a sudden stop, they arrived at a door labeled "Professor Nero Archon, PhD, Professor of Physics, Advanced Physics, Nuclear Physics, Biology, Advanced Biology, Chemistry, Advanced Chemistry, and Genetics." Under this rather large metal sign, someone had tacked a piece of paper that simply read, "AKA The Scientific Genius."

Dante pushed open the door, breathing easily even after that light jog. "Dr. Archon? New student here for your first class!"

Archon heard the door open and heard Dante's voice, and called back, "Okay, give me a bit. Busy!" He wanted to talk with Calypso, get a feel for her, and wondered if she would be part of his rebellion. Dante only nodded, gesturing for Marcos to take a seat at one of the many lab tables facing the front of the room. "Have a seat. He'll be around soon enough, and your classmates should be arriving any time now. Some have early morning classes they'll be getting out in the next ten minutes. I have to be off to my Advance Calculus class." he said, moving back to the door. "Oh- don't question the Doctor's math. He doesn't make mistakes."

Calypso smiled softly and giggled at the doctor. "Everything but visions, and math. I'm great at math." She shrugged. "A lot of us feel trapped. We were allowed to practice our powers and abilities without bothering anyone befor-" she shut her mouth and her eyes dimmed. "-I suppose there's a point to us being here. Learn something. Move on." She sighed and glanced up at Archeon again.

"I'm a problem child. I always have been, always will be. No need to waste your time trying to help me feel better. I'll just turn around and mess up all your good work in one foul swoop, one day. What everyone else seems to think. What with my history." She smirked and rolled her eyes. "Sorry to have bothered you doc. I'll be looking forward to your class. Still the only teach in here who can put a smile on anyone's face." She pushed off the wall she found herself leaning on, and back out into the halls.

It was time for the cafe to open and she needed some food, her stomach screaming at her. Once she got to the cafe, she walked down the line picking up fruit and a bagel. Then a carton of milk. She asked the women behind the glass for eggs and bacon- then she went to sit in a back corner. Most kids had class starting now. A lot of the older kids would start class in the next hour like her. At least from what she'd observed being here. Calypso coughed, picking up her milk and drinking it.

It was a good half hour before she was done with breakfast, then on her way down the hall to her first class of the day.

She sighed and began to follow the boy again, "You really should at least put boxers on or wrap a towel about you! It doesn't need to be a full outfit. There are women who live down here also, obviously." She'd passed the point of being embarrassed.

"Or at least let me know when you'll be walking naked down the halls since we seem to be the only two earlier birds in this place." She shivered then. It felt so empty in the mornings, like they were the only two. A yawn hit her before she noticed and- she stopped in her tracks. Stretching. "Ugh. I'm always so tired here!" She complained, waving him off now. Bored.

The young woman turned on her heels and went back to her room.

"Yeah, yeah" he says as she waved him off. Not like it mattered, it wasn't like he was planning to turn this into a habit. Next chance he got, he would complain to maintenance, nothing was more demoralizing than having a rough night of sweating or shivering because the centralized heating and cooling in this place was as shit as ever. He continued down the hallway to the end of another intersection, before hooking right and out of sight from the girl. Content to be alone once more he tossed his clothes onto one of the many free benches that were left unoccupied, not even bothering to use a locker at this time of hour.

Walking across the room, he made his way from the changing room to the segregated showers sticking to the side that was designated for his gender. Cold water, colder than one would want to take in the morning, ran down the length of his hair, beading and running off in torrents that continued down his strong set jawline. Yawning, he leaned against the shower, placing arm and head against the sterile tiles of the shower wall, allowing the water to run down the length of his spine, tense muscles soothed by the feeling of coolness.

Refreshed, and dressed once more in the clothes of a civilized man, Mithos was much more human than he had felt in the morning. Finishing the last button on a simple dress shirt as he walked from the changing room back towards the main hall, he cut a stunning image.

He was clean shaven, save but a strip of facial hair that cut a sharp goatee along his chin. His hair was once more clean, the vibrant sheen of the dark brown hair catching the light of the sterile hallways as he walked past the room of the girl again.

Faria had walked back to the small common area and was playing music from the small speaker set she had, lounging on the couch. Classical instruments harmonizing together; pushing her off into a half-conscious state. There wasn't much to do here, still. This wasn't a full life. A bland boring life at most. She sighed as she drifted on the edge of consciousness.

What was she going to do with her day? Not that she could think of much more that she hadn't done within her limits aside from what she was doing now. The young woman rolled off the small couch and rose to her feet from the floor; walking back to her tiny room to grab her own showering things.

Faria walked out into the halls shortly, carrying a purple bag under one arm, and her clothes and towel under the other. With her amazing luck- she ran right back into Mithos. "Oh, sorry." She said as she fell on her butt. The girl collected her things again, and looked up to see him. "Oh, you. You look nice with clothes on. Not to say you didn't look nice before... Uh. Yeah. I'm just going to go." She shook her head as she pushed herself off of the floor and stood up.

The Doctor quirked an eyebrow at Calypso as she spoke on and on about feeling trapped and how she wanted her powers back. He leaned back in his chair, his computerized mind linking to the network and hacking past the firewalls again, making a secure line with Calypso's cell phone. He then mentally typed in a command:

> begin SMS message
> subject: Join us.
> from: The Shadow
> message:
> Did you mean what you said to Archon? And are you willing to do something >about it? Are you ready for the truth?
> end SMS message

He used a secure channel and detoured the security protocols to ignore the message, then deleted the message from her phone logs. The only way to read it now was to be the first person to open it. After she replied and closed the message, it would be gone. Dr. Archon stood, moving into his classroom and starting to write on the chalkboard, his letters clean and precise as he wrote out a series of questions designed to test one's knowledge of physics. They ranged from the first being relatively easy, to the last being impossible.

He turned and observed his class before realizing that there was only one person in the room. "Well. You are here early. You must be the one Dante brought around." He said, perching on the edge of his desk. "So, tell me, what's your power?" He said, considering the young man.

Quickly after taking his seat, he watched his teacher write questions on the board. He understood a few of them but quickly dismissed it as they got more complex. This Dr. Archon seemed a bit young to be a teacher, but obviously he was incredibly smart or at least that's what it seemed to Marcos.

When the the doctor told him he was early and asked him about his power, Marcos immediately got uncomfortable.

Why is he asking about my power? Isn't this a physics class? he thought to himself, but decided to answer him anyway.

"Well, I can control fire...I-I mean I can manipulate any open flame, I think some scientist called it pyrokinesis or something, but I can't create it only control any existing one." Despite stumbling over his words he hoped that would be a sufficient answer for Archon.

Flattery wasn't uncommon in the area known as detention, for all they really had to do was sit around and kill time. Every now and then, there was a task or a seminar by the people that ran the institute, but it had nothing to do with what they wanted. Naturally, this led to many people flirting, and the silly high-school-like dating continued. Already he was getting that vibe from the woman that looked up from the floor after having been knocked flat on her ass by bumping into him. He extended a hand to her, trying to keep a cool composure at her open flirting.

He helped her up from the ground, giving her a stark contrast in their heights as she was pulled up and off the ground towards him, where their height difference was much more evident. "You wouldn't be surprised to hear how often I hear that."

Like how some flirted, he exercised, not wanting to give in to the boredom of this place, nor sacrificing his quality of life by gaining fat. It also gave him a sense of routine that he alone had control over, unlike the rest of the things the "Detention" facility did for them.

He noticed the purple bag, the clothes, and the towel, before putting three and three together and realizing she was showering. "You too heh?" he said, a small smirk appearing at the corner of his mouth before disappearing just as fast.

"Nothing beats getting the first shower of the day".

Faria accepted his hand, and quietly thanked him when she was back on her feet. The young woman picked her things back up, tucking them under her arms. "No, everyone whose seen you probably gives you the same compliments." She sighed softy, looking back up at him. Fully clothed now. It was true he looked nice, on both ends of the spectrum. Maybe he just wasn't a person who liked being complimented? Girls loved that crap. It's how she stayed out of the awful drama that could sometimes happen between females down here. Stay out of the way, and shower them with compliments. She wouldn't have to do any of that- if she still had her powers. But she didn't.

"Mn, yeah." a smile pulled at the corner of her lips, "Gave you time, so I hopefully didn't run into you again... But... Seems I have horrid luck." she shrugged, and blinked away the yawn that wanted to escape her lips. "It's relaxing when its quiet. Just you." She smiled and turned on her heels, back on her merry way. "Have a good day- or at least... As good of a day as you can."

Calypso jumped as her phone vibrated in her lap. No one here had her number, except the office. What am I being blamed for this time? she wondered to herself, only to open the message and be very surprised. The girl looked over her shoulders to see if anyone were watching, then hurried down the hall to her first class. It was no wonder that Archon was her first slot this year, she entered the room with her nose in her phone. Trying to think. What if this was a trap? What if this was their way to spot problem children who'd they set back a year? Another year of crazy to deal with wasn't an option in her mind. What if this is real though?

The girl typed out a quick reply, Eavesdropping isn't polite. You have my attenion. She nervously hit the send button and tucked her phone into her pocket. And paused in her tracks again. A new face? She shook her head, "I'm sorry, I'm a bit late." she said, taking a seat in front. A space between herself and the other student.

Reem's attention was directed at James' lecture so much so that she forgot the hand she had been dealt a few seconds ago in the Poker application she was playing. She had actually felt targeted when he tried to refute the possibility that people can multitask, but that feeling faded when Jame's showed some appreciation to these special abilities everyone in the room had by acknowledging them as abilities and gifts, rather than afflictions and illnesses.

Her facial expressions changed to show a smile, then replied softly "Reem". She didn't feel like sharing her last name, having a foreign first name was enough to easily identify her out of the tens of students in the school. Reem stopped herself from arguing even more, she had the urge to argue that since these abilities are both desirable and appreciated, they should be enhanced and carried over to future genes; instead of being detained and suppressed. Her consciousness alerted her that she had picked up enough heat from the class cameras already, so she opted to drop the matter.

Her eyes shifted back to her smart phone, and continued her game peacefully until class would end.

Archon was pleased by her response, as he received it the instant she hit send. "You're not too late, we're still missing several people." He said. He quickly prepared a response in his mind.

Who said I was eavesdropping? Wait after class.

That should give her enough of a hint at who was sending the messages. He crossed the room, tapping lightly on the board. "Begin these questions. Do as many as you understand. I simply want to get a feel for how much you know." He said. Then he returned to Marcos.

"Pyrokinetics, hm? Fascinating. I wonder.... Is your entire body heat resistant? Or... Hm." The Doctor seemed suitably fascinated with the boy's powers.

Dante slid into his seat in the Mathematics room as the bell rang for class to begin. He easily lounged in his desk, doing the beginning problems he had been assigned rather quickly. The help and extra lessons he had with Archon before planning their rebellion had helped his mental abilities greatly.
