Riley had just woken up. Her alarm was beeping madly and wildly in a bid to make sure she would get out of bed and get ready for work. The brunette swung the covers over her body, making an opening to swing her legs out to the floor. Standing up she hit the button on top of the clock to make it stop.

"Mmmmmm" she moaned lifting her hands and arms above her head to stretch. Lowering one hand to her eye she rubbed it with her fingers as the other limb lowered to her behind to scratch her ass cheek. Walking barefoot against the wooden flooring of her bedroom, Riley moved to the doorway and in to the corridor, making her way to the open space of the kitchen. Her coffee, set on a time was already made for her and was just waiting to be picked up and drank. Taking the mug, she brought it over to the island in the middle and set it down before she started to make herself some toast.

Riley wasn't wearing much, just a dark green t-shirt and a pair of pink panties. No bra was underneath her shirt, she preferred it that way when she slept, giving her a more comfortable feel. Once her toast was done, she put on her desired topping on, strawberry jam.

Once her breakfast was eaten and her coffee mug emptied, Riley ran her fingers through her hair and walked to the bathroom. She started to undress herself, pulling her green top over her head from the waist up. Her milky white breasts were perky and they felt the chilly morning air now that the clothing had come off. Her nipples stood up on the puffy areola's beneath, giving them added height. Lowering her back, she brought her hands to her waist and pulled down her pink panties, sliding them down her long legs to her ankles where she used her feet to kick them off. They rested on top of her t-shirt which was on the floor now.

Stepping in to the shower, she closed the glass door behind her and turned the taps on the wall. Hot and cold water started to gush out of the shower head, sprinkling her face with a fierce desire to clean her. Placing her back against the wall, Riley stood underneath the shower and escaped the waterfall from above. Pushing her hands forward, she cupped the liquid in to her hands and splashed it in to her face.

The job she had was a stressful one, one of the toughest jobs in the world. Riley was a bodyguard, but not just any guard, she protected the President. Today he was giving a speech and therefore Riley had to be well prepared.

After cleaning herself up and making herself feel refreshed Riley turned off the water and stepped out, grabbing a nearby towel to cover her body from the chest down. Squeezing her long brown hair over the sink, any excess water soaked in to her hair poured out and vanished down the plug hole. With her feet dripping water along the wooden flooring of the house, Riley got herself to her bedroom and started to dry herself before fixing something to wear from her closet.

Wearing a nice smart suit Riley was all ready to leave the house when she got a call from her superior. Standing by her door, she was given an address to go to about a new position she was to take up with higher pay. It was totally classified and no more of it was said.

Putting the phone in to her pocket she picked up her gun and put it in the holster before heading out to this address she was given.

"Ah...ah..." loud punching nosies could be heard from the basement as Gabriel started to work his punching bag. It was 8:30 in the morning and Gabriel was already starting his morning workout routine. He was shirtless as sweat poured from his face down to his bare chest and onto his abs. All he wore was a pair of dark navy blue gym shorts. The sweat made his body glisten and helped to show off the cuts in his muscles. Doing a roundhouse kick, he slammed his foot with great force into the punching bag as he landed softly on the floor. Falling down onto the ground, he sat with his legs folded as he took a few deep breaths.

Gabriel joined the Military when he was just twenty years old, he had left his then pregnant wife back home in order to follow his dream of serving and protecting his country. When he returned he found that his wife had left him and the country. Going to the UK to stay with family, that she said would treat her better and take care of her. Though, that wasn't the only thing Gabriel would return too, he received one of the highest honors for his duties overseas which landed him a position in the CIA. After years of hard and outstanding work, he was able to quickly climb the ranks, becoming one of the best members in the country. This would in turn change his life forever. The country had began to work on a special computer chip in order to turn a person into a operating and living computer. With the freedom and emotion of a human, and the machine power of a computer connected to the internet. It would quickly become the ultimate weapon. The only problem was finding the right host. In order to place the chip into the brain of a human, the human needed to have a rare mutated gene, or else they would die. Lucky for Gabriel he was the perfect match.

So there he was, a living computer. Gazing blankly into the distant in front of him, Gabriel would be the only person to see the image of his own daughter he began to briefly go over her file. The image was of course in his mind, no one else would be able to see it. The chip worked just like a computer, except he was the computer. Just like a computer he would be able to retrieve and process multiple data at once. Going over his daughter's file he learned a few things well about her. This was a common hobby of Gabriel's. Whenever he would meet a new person, he would be able to learn everything about them in a matter of seconds. It was almost as if he was in their head.

Looking at his daughters achievements he was quite surprised at the long list. She went to Oxford College, graduated in the top of her class and with honors. Gabriel was about to dig deeper when suddenly the alarm on his phone went off. It seemed his workout routine was over. Getting up he made his way to the bathroom of the basement. Stripping free of his gym shorts he threw them to the side and started to turn on the water. As the water washed and clean the sweat off his body, he closed his eyes for seconds. Sometimes he got bored of using the chip, it made life almost to easy. It was almost as if he was a mind reader, he could always predict what people would do simply based on the information in their files. Sighing, he placed his elbow against the titled walls as he tried to enjoy his shower.

After about half an hour or so, he turned off the water and grabbed a towel wrapping it around his waist. Heading up the stairs, he pulled up his daughters file was once. He was curious as to what her favorite morning breakfast was. It seemed she owned quite a lot of memberships cards too various coffee shops. His daughter had arrived to live with him about two days ago. About a few months prior his wife called telling him that his daughter was going to live with him. It was a out of the blue call. Gabriel had visited his daughter once or twice since his ex-wife had moved to the U.K, but that was about 10 or so years ago. When he heard that she was coming he was a bit scared as to what his daughter was going to think of him, but it seem that she didn't hate him at least. The first day she arrived was just basically unpacking and settling in, she had arrived late at night. The next day she slept quite a lot due to the jet lag, they managed to go out for a quick dinner but nothing to big. Now it was present day, and Gabriel hoped that her jet lag would be gone. Hopefully they could actually do something together.

Once he reached his room, he quickly changed into a white v neck shirt, and some blue and white pajama pants. Heading downstairs into the kitchen he placed a capsule into the coffee maker machine and turned it on. It was a French Vanilla capsule her favourite. Waiting for the coffee to finish brewing, he went back to gaze at her information. It seemed she really liked Animals, maybe they could go to the zoo? He thought. "Oh, what's this..?" he said as he found an ex-boyfriend. It seemed she wasn't exactly Ms. Perfect. Apparently she had got into trouble for streaking with a boyfriend. Shaking his head, a loud beep sound filled the room as the coffee was finished. Pouring the coffee into a mug, he brought it up to her room. Knocking on the door, he called out her name. "Kaya? Wake up.." he said as he let himself in.

Kaya was on the bed sheets sleeping before she was woken up by her father. Leaning up on one elbow she gazed at him with blurred vision until her senses had arrived from their slumber. Seeing the coffee he gave her being placed on the bedside cabinet she leaned in and gave him a kiss on his cheek. Yawning quite loudly she stretched an arm above her head before starting to talk.

"I grew up in England, I drink tea not coffee" she said, her fresh blue sea eyes gazed up at him. There was a sudden pause, like an awkward moment and the silence between them would allow the birds outside to be heard. "I'm kidding dad" she laughed, leaning up to kiss his cheek once more. Of course Kaya had no idea that he already knew what she liked by checking her file and history.

Every member of the public in every country had a file. A piece of information stored on some database which intelligence agencies could use to build up a profile on any given person. It had documents from their birth certificates to driving licenses and even memberships at gyms and coffee stores. Anything could be pulled from the database and people like Kaya knew nothing about it.

"I was thinking I could go to work with you today?" His daughter said, sliding her legs off the bed and placing her white sock covered feet on to the floor. They were ankle socks and the only clothing she had until her shorts came in to view from the knee up. A white tank top sat beautifully on her shoulders, hanging down to her waist. Sitting on the edge of the bed Kaya picked up her coffee and took a sip of it. "Mmm, my favourite, how did you know?" Frowning at him, she took another gulp at the hot liquid before placing it down. Pulling some hair behind her ear she continued her case.

"I don't know anyone here. I can't just sit all day in this place. I will go insane. I won't be any bother I swear. I will just sit there and see what you do" her face was quite eager with a small grin appearing across it. "All planned out then" Kaya said, without even waiting for an answer.

It was tough for her, being here in a new country with her dad who she didn't really know. She had seen him twice to be exact in her lifetime before seeing him at the airport two days ago. The girl first met him when she was seven years old. That wasn't the best encounter as Kaya couldn't remember any of it. The second time was a lot clearer, yet still blurry. She was thirteen and he arrived for her birthday party. He had bought her a nice necklace, one she always wore to this day. It wasn't a normal necklace one would imagine, but it was his dog tags from his time in the army. It was the best present she had ever gotten, she loved it, just because it meant she felt close to him.

"You know I haven't stopped wearing this since you gave them to me" Kaya dipped her hand to her chest, pulling the dog tags out from under her tank top. "I feel honoured you gave them to me to look after for you." Smiling happily, she felt comfortable in his presence after they had bonded the day before. The dinner they had was nice, he took her to a restaurant which specialised in sushi. Kaya had never eaten that before so was thrilled to experience it.

"Anyway, if I am to go to work with you today, then I will need to get showered and changed." Picking up her coffee the girl left her father in her new bedroom and walked to the bathroom. She had a stop on her journey though to the kitchen, finishing her coffee and leaving the cup in the sink ready to be washed. Once finally at the shower, it didn't take long for the girl to get ready. Kaya wasn't one to spend an hour washing herself and was out in a couple of minutes, covering her wet body with a towel. The nineteen year old then walked back to her room which was empty of her father. Closing the door she locked it from inside and got changed.

Coming out of her room, Kaya was now clothed and dressed. She looked rather smart and certainly had fashion sense with her black top buttoned up by her shoulder in a weird yet stylish design. Below the waist was a skirt, also black along with her tights as she would call them. Being in this part of the world now though she would maybe have to start calling them pantyhose. Her fingers were covered in a few rings, one on her index finger on her left hand and one on her middle finger on her right. A large drooping necklace lay down her front, as did a shorter one by her neck. Kaya still had on her father's tags, but they would remain private under her top.

"Are you ready to go yet?" he shouted throughout the house, not knowing where her father was. At this moment in time, Kaya was standing in the living room, holding on to her bag which had her belongings inside. "You need to give me a set of keys to for the house" she shouted, just before seeing him.

As they walked outside, Kaya got in to his car and sat in the passenger seat. She plugged in her white headphones and put them in her ears before scrolling through her iPhone for her music. She was a big fan of Rihanna at the moment and started to listen to her song with Eminem.

As she listened to her music, Kaya looked out of the car window and took in the scenery, absorbing America like she was a visitor still even though she lived their now. Hitting the pause button, she turned to her dad. "So what is it that you do now? You haven't really mentioned it to me. Don't you like talking about it?"

Gabriel realized that she was joking, but he still decided to play along. "Oh you scared me there for a second. I know most people from the U.K prefers to drink tea, but I figured since you're still my daughter you would have a craving for coffee like your old man.." he said teasing her, as she kissed his cheek. Gabe didn't want to fill her in about the chip, after all they were still getting to know each other, and he didn't want her thinking he was some kind of freak or something, and also the chip was suppose to be classified information. Things were going good so far between them, that was until she started to question his work. "Wait what?! I'm not sure about having you go to work with me, its mostly just boring stuff, that probably would just make you fall asleep." he tried to convince her that she wouldn't enjoy coming to work with him, but she was strong willed much like himself and was determined on going. "And French Vanilla is my favourite as well..I figured you may like it." he smirked, not completely lying to her.

It seemed her mind was set on coming to work and she wasn't going to take no for an answer. "Okay..you can come just this once.." Gabe had a strange feeling that she was going to be a handful, but he still loved her nonetheless. Seeing as she pulled out her dog tag that he had gave her, his eyes suddenly started to light up. "Your thirteen birthday.." he said softly, as he walked over to her grabbed the tags into his hand. "I'm surprise you still wear this..most girls find it not to be fashionable..your mother hated them.." squeezing them in his hands he softly released his hold from them. "I'm sorry, I wasn't there much while you were growing up, but that's going to change from now on." he assured her.

"Yea you're right, I should be getting ready as well. I don't want to be late." he chuckled as she left the room. Staying back a little bit, he looked around. His life was going to change once again, maybe this time for the better he thought. Gabe always loved his daughter, though he didn't see her much, it didn't mean he stopped caring for her. Sighing, he made his way back into his room. Quickly changing from his pjs that he had just placed on, he changed into a grey shirt and some black jeans. Grabbing his leather jacket he threw it on and made his way down the stairs. "I'm coming!" he said hearing his daughters cries as he headed into the living room dressed rather casually. "Whoooah..we aren't visiting the queen or anything..you know we don't have queens and kings here right?" he said teasing her. He was surprised to see how dressed up she was. "I'll make you a spare set of keys right before we come home, there's a shop not to far from work. For now there's a spare right underneath the mat by the door, if for some reason you need to get in." he told her as he made his way outside and into his rather fancy sports car.

Heading inside the car, he quickly pulled off and entered onto the highway after a few minutes of driving. "What do I do for work? Well, it's hard to explain.." he said softly. "I do a lot of things.." he said leaving it at that for now. "You'll see once we get there." The drive to work wasn't long. Probably a twenty minute drive with the highway flowing smoothly. The CIA wanted to place him close as possible to the headquarters so he could get there at a moments notice. Parking in the parking lot, he exited the car. "So this is where I work.." Gabe informed her as they made their way inside. Once inside, Gabe had to show his ID to the security guy at the counter. After that, he had to do a finger print scan. It was obvious that this place was extremely secretive and important. "Heh, just a routine duty.." he said softly turning to look at Kaya. "She's my daughter, she's coming to just visit." The security guard nodded, and quickly made a ID tag for her to wear. Handing it over to her, Gabe checked his watch. "Come let's take the elevator" boarding the elevator Gabe pressed the B-4 button as they made their way down to the basement floor. "Well, I guess the jig is up, I work for the CIA. I do basic CIA work stuff, like the on t.v shows!" he teased, as they reached their floor.

Down in the basement Nelson was working on one of his new Gadgets. He wore a weird hat that was made out of wires that was connected to his brain through sensors. "Gabriel buddy!" he said as he was motioning his hands as if he was controlling something, upon looking up at the ceiling the pair would be able to see a mini helicopter being control by Nelson. "Check this out! It's totally being control by my brain!" Nelson said having quite the fun with his new project. Shooting some quick glances at Gabriel, he was wondering who the girl with him was. "Hired an assistant?" Nelson asked, to which Gabe shook his head. "This is my daughter." Suddenly Nelson's eyes widen as he almost lost control of the Helicopter. "Oh, sorry! I didn't know you had a daughter.." he said gaining back control of it was once more. "Don't worry though, you'll have an easier time controlling this with the chip in your head." Nelson said spoiling the secret. Gabriel quickly approach Nelson as he slapped his head, causing the Helicopter to fall and crash. "You had to mention the chip in front of her?!" Gabriel said whispering loudly and angrily to Nelson. "Oh, sorry I didn't know! I thought you would at least tell your own daughter or something." Nelson said rubbing his head a little bit, taking off his cap. "And you made me break my helicopter!" Nelson said as he ran over to see the damages. "Oh and Ms. Pike wanted to see you, she said she had an important mission for you or something.." Nelson told Gabe, as he tried to pick up the damaged helicopter. "This is going to take my a whole day to repair!" he said as he placed the helicopter onto his workstation. "I hope you're not as crazy as your dad.." he said talking to Kaya.

"The CIA?" Riley said, pulling up in her car and making sure it was parked in an available spot. Looking at the building as she got out of her car she couldn't understand why she was here, what was going on? Why was she being transferred? She guessed the answers would be inside so she started to walk towards the entrance, her shoes making a dull clapping noise with every step she took. Approaching the doors they slid open automatically allowing the woman to proceed before she was stopped by a man who was dressed in a uniform similar to that of a cop.

"ID please" he said, watching as she stopped short of the turnstiles. It required an ID card which would allow someone to scan themselves in. "I am a visitor, I have a meeting with...I actually don't know who I am meeting. I was told to come here for a new position, a new job?" The man looked at her, trying to figure out if she was real or not. "Name please?" Looking confused, she shook her head as if to wake herself up and answer the question. "Riley....Riley Neal?" Taking a huge breath, he looked frustrated. "Are you telling me or asking me?" His big bulging stomach seemed to hit her as he took the large draw of breath in his lungs. "I'm telling you" she said, folding her arms across her chest.

Just then, on his radio a voice started to ruffle through. "It's her, send her down."

Looking confused, Riley watched as the security guard beeped her through the turnstiles and allowed her access through the fingerprinting zone. "Take the elevator, press the B-4 button!" He shouted at her, before watching the woman disappear as the two solid metal doors closed shut.

Inside she was alone and rested against the wall to help calm any nerves she may of had. The reason her being their was fast approaching and would be behind these very doors which opened when the elevator stopped.

"Riley Neal, a pleasure to meet you." A woman said, holding out her soft hand to shake her counterpart. Riley shook it firmly before releasing her grip and stepping out in to the corridor. "I have heard great things about you Ms Neal, it is an honour to have you with us." In reply the brunette said, "Just call me Riley....without meaning to be forward, why is it I am here?" Walking with her hands behind her back she looked at each and every single room which had a purpose for something. Riley even saw some weird geek looking guy flying a toy helicopter.

"That's Nelson...don't ask" the blonde admitted, showing Riley in to an open space. It was like an office with desks either side against the wall. "This will be your desk" a finger pointing to the wooden furniture on the right just before the large glass window behind it. Now walking up the stair case with Riley just behind, they were in the comfort of Rosa's office.

"Please sit down, we have much to talk about. Would you like something to drink?" Sitting at her desk, Rosamund looked up at the woman before she took a seat.

"My name is Rosamund Pike, I am head of the operation known as Clockwork. We are fighting wars Ms Neal....Riley" she corrected herself, remembering she was told to call her by her first name. "So therefore we need to be on our guard and have weapons available to strike if needed. Technology has evolved far more quickly than we have imagined and someone, a professor, has created a device which allows someone to be a computer. Putting it simply of course, a chip is inserted in to the person's brain and it allows them to do remarkable things. Are you following all of this so far?"

Riley nodded her head, her eyebrows firmly down just above her eyes as though she was confused yet still understanding.

"Anyway, this is where you come in. I need you to protect this person from harm. Dare I say it, he is a bit of a hot head when it comes to missions and rescuing people. I need you to be his back up, his life saver."

Riley looked bewildered before smiling. "I have come here to be a babysitter? Hardly a step up from protecting the President is it?" Rosamund smiled back at Riley. "Well, the President thinks otherwise, he recommended you to us. He clearly sees this chip as something worth saving."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As Kaya passed the security, she pinned her visitor pass on to her top and followed her father in to the elevator that Riley had taken not so long ago. " I can't believe you work here, my mum said you was in the army, but nothing like this." She said, now seeing the doors open with a little 'ping' sound. As they both stepped out in to the corridor, they continued to walk before that geek Nelson saw them through the glass window of the door. Watching her father enter the room, Kaya saw that the space was quite open and had all these different technologies inside of it. "Whoa" she gasped, before hearing Nelson say something about an assistant. When Gabriel introduced them both to one another, Kaya smiled cheerfully before he mentioned a chip.

"What chip?" She asked, now looking on as her dad hit the poor man with a firm slap like he had been naughty. The quad helicopter fell to the ground and broke much to Nelson's dismay. "Why did you do that" Kaya said, feeling bad and guilty as she pulled a strand of brown hair behind her ear. "I'm not crazy like he is...I'm worse" Kaya replied, "I'm only kidding. It was nice meeting you though." She shook the guy's hand without even realising that her father had left her there with him. Turning around, she quickly shot out of the door in a bid to try and keep up with him.

"What is this chip he is on about dad?" The pair walked continuously even passing a computer room before he turned up at office block. "Is this the meeting?" Her head was filled with questions, all of this was new to her. "Who are they?" Looking through the glass, both Gabriel and Kaya could see Rosa and Riley talking.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Agh, here he is now. Although I'm not sure who that is with him, must be his daughter, she has come to stay with him." Rosa told Riley who stood up and looked towards the glass. She had never seen anything so gorgeous in her life. Staring at the person she walked with the blonde towards the opening where the four all met.

"Gabriel, this is Riley, she has been assigned to protect you." Riley was half asleep it seemed as she was staring at Kaya who just innocently smiled back. "I look forward to working with you" the brunette said, shaking the man's hand before making eye contact with him. However, her view went back to Kaya for a few split seconds before Rosa started to talk again. "Who is this charming young lady then Gabriel? Your daughter?"

Kaya butted in as she was self confident and a people person. "I'm Kaya, just moved here from England."

After briefly getting to know one another, there was in fact work to be done and Rosa brought both Gabriel and Riley in to her office after the daughter said goodbye to her father. Kaya felt disappointed that she couldn't stay longer but she understood....somewhat. So for now, she would just go back home.

Gabriel gave Rosa a look as she introduced Riley to him. He didn't like the idea of her saying that he needed protection, especially in front of his daughter not the less. After all she had just come to America, he didn't want her to worry about her father's safety. "Yes, this is my daughter Kaya." Gabe said firmly as Kaya introduced herself. Once the introductions were over, Gabriel made sure to send his daughter home with his car. Luckily the car had GPS so she would be able to easily find her way back home. Giving her the car keys, Gabriel told her that he would explain everything once they were at home. Giving her a kiss on the forehead he waved her off as she would board the elevator.

"I don't appreciate you telling me that I need protection especially in front of my daughter." Gabriel said to Rosa. Rosamund had a high ranking position in the CIA, but with Gabriel's attitude it wouldn't have shown. "Plus I don't need protection." he said as he walked passed the two. Slowly he turned back around as he gazed at Riley. Looking at her, it was almost as if he was checking her out, but instead he was checking out her file. "You served the President and his family, you got stabbed trying to protect his two daughters in a bathroom." Gabriel said as he started to run down a list of facts about her. "Your favorite drink is a a soy latte, you got a 1050 on the SAT, and you have two felonies huh?..." he said as he suddenly paused. "I wonder what they are.." he said as he turned to Rosa, with a sly smile on his face. "Sorry, but I don't think you'll be a good fit." He said as he turned back to look at Riley. Gabriel didn't have anything against her, he just hated the fact that Rosa thought he needed a babysitter, he wasn't a child. He never needed protection especially when he was in the army. All his missions that he had done before were solo. It was as if they were insulting him, by bringing in help.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sighing Nelson brought his helicopter over to another room, where his father was working. Dr. Cassidy was the operator behind clockwork. He had designed the chip and planted it into to Gabriel. Cassidy was the one who found out about the mutation that allowed humans to be able to adapt to the chip. At the moment he was busy in his work, like he usually was. Sighing, he wore a white lab coat and glasses much his like sons own. Gazing at the computer screen, he was writing down some notes. He didn't realize his son had enter the room until Nelson spoke. "Why does he always have to reck every one of my projects!" Nelson said slamming down the helicopter. Turning around, Dr. Cassidy smiled. "Gabriel did that?" he laughed, to which Nelson didn't seem to find anything funny out of it. "Yes, just because I mention the chip in front of his daughter." Nelson grabbed a chair and started to work on the helicopter using a laser pen to melt the pieces back together.

Dr. Cassidy laughed. "Well, its obvious he doesn't want his daughter to know about the chip. He doesn't want her to worry, or maybe think he's a freak. Plus Clockwork is suppose to be a top secret project." Dr. Cassidy had a few points, but it seemed either way she was going to find out sooner or later. "I guess that's true dad, but how was I suppose to know...and he still didn't have to break my helicopter." he said the latter part grumpily.

Once Kaya had left the building, she pressed the button on the car keys to make her father's car beep and unlock the doors. She couldn't believe he had let her drive his sports car, it could have possibly been because he was still getting to know her and wanted to please her. Stepping towards the door she had a little chuckle with herself as she went to the wrong side, remembering that everything was on the opposite over here. Walking around the car Kaya jumped inside and adjusted the seat to her liking after placing her bag on the passenger seat. Looking in the mirrors she checked to see it was all clear before pulling out and driving off.

It was a quiet drive back home, nothing to special. The cute brunette was listening to the radio and singing to whatever song was on. Following the map on the car screen, she stuck to the route and soon ended up at the house. She had parked her father's car in to the garage around the back of the apartments and once finished went inside the home.

The silence inside was almost like a torture to the girl. Sitting on the sofa with her feet up on the table, the sound of the clock ticking was something which drove her insane. Putting on the TV, there was nothing on were watching so she decided to head out. Kaya wanted to explore the area, see what was about and what was happening.

After a ten minute walk, she came to a coffee shop and walked inside. It was a cute little shop on the corner and Kaya ordered something simple like a hot chocolate. It may not have been her favourite drink but it reminded her of her home in England.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As Gabriel was talking to Rosamund, Riley kept her eyes firmly on Kaya as she was walking out with her father's car keys in her hand. The woman was suddenly awoken from her trance by a loud stern voice.

"You forget who your superior is Gabriel! If you don't want your daughter knowing things then don't bring her to work!" The blonde woman turned as did Riley after the man walked past them both before reading out facts about the hired bodyguard.

"How does he know all of that?" Riley said, looking at Rosamund and pointing a finger. "That is the chip" she replied, "it allows him to gain any file and gain intelligence on someone."

After Gabriel had finished speaking, Rosa gave him a look. "Do not open that file. That is a direct order!" The felonies in which Riley had were meant to be buried and hidden. "He will come around Riley, take a seat" gesturing her hand to the chair, Rosa sat at her desk and waited for Gabe to join them. "Stop being such a spoilt brat. Your a grown man."

Once Gabriel had sat down, Rosamund began to talk of a mission. "A journalist has been abducted and we need you to go and retrieve her." This caused Riley to give a confused look. "Why do we need to go and save a journalist? Isn't that for the army? Or special intelligence?"

Rosa then looked to the woman opposite to her. "She is being held in a compound, it's defences are better what we thought and the only man who can penetrate them is this one." Riley then looked at Gabriel, wondering how such a person could be given this opportunity.

"How exactly does that work?" The brunette continued. "The chip gives him a satellite view of all enemies. He will know where they are going before they do."

Gabriel did a lot of auguring with his superiors, especially now that he had the chip, it made him a lot more cockier than he used to be. "Well, I wouldn't have to bring her if I wasn't forced to come here two days after she had moved here. The poor girl knows no one, and I felt bad. Plus...she gave me no other choice.." he mumbled. It seemed the only person so far that he couldn't disobey was his daughter.

Sighing, Gabriel pulled his chair as he sat down. He wasn't happy, but he knew that there was a new mission. He didn't bother to reply to Rosa's comment of him being a spoil brat. Listening in on the briefing of the mission, he raised a brow as Rosa began to speak about their new mission. Saving a person was something that Gabriel would always do, no matter what the mission was, even if it was just some journalist. Back in the military he remember, the code of never leaving a man behind, and he applied it to all his missions.

Quickly he began to look into the organizations files, finding the file about a journalist he found the location. Quickly he started to bring up satellite maps in front of him. Gazing at multiple maps he found the location and started to zoom in. "It seems this place is heavily guarded. There's watch towers all over.." Gabriel muttered as he was looking around in the air. "There's a few snipers on the tower, it seems they are on guard 24/7 but there's intervals where they switch off. Which should be the time for us to strike." Gabriel said as he analyzed the situation.

Turning to Rosa he had one question for her. "Tell me now, what the hell did a journalist do, to get herself trapped in this hell hole?" Of course Gabriel could have looked deeper in the file and find out, but he didn't want to take away Rosa's job. Turning to Riley he smirked at her. "This seems like a dangerous mission, hopefully you don't break a nail before we get there.." Gabriel said teasing her. "Speaking of which, when do we leave?"

Thea was in with the wrong crowd and she knew it. The seventeen year old was quite the smart girl, achieving A's in her exams but of late, she had been skipping lessons and even whole days of school to be in with the 'cool crowd.'

This didn't go down well with her rich parents who had paid for her to go to a private school. She was fast becoming a tearaway teen because of a boy she had met on the streets. He lived a completely different world to her, a world of crime and poverty. What made Thea attracted to him was a mystery to everyone, including herself but she couldn't help it. So when he asked her to skip school today she happily agreed.

Thea, the boy she liked who was named Tom and a few other people were standing on the corner and saw a nice young woman enter a coffee shop. "Her, I want you to go get me her purse" Tom told Thea. "I wan't to know your loyal to me" he grinned, laughing with his friends before staring back at the rich girl.

"Fine" was her reply, crossing her arms against her chest like she was offended. Walking off the side walk, she went in between two parked cars and waited for the road to become clear. Finally, when it was safe, the girl marched over to the opposite side where the coffee shop was and entered inside.

Kaya, who had just received her drink turned around only to be bumped in to by Thea. The drink fell to the ground as did the brunette's belongings including her purse.

"Oh I am so sorry!" Thea pretended to sob. "I am such an idiot!" Bending down, she started to put things back in to Kaya's bag before swiping the purse in to her own pocket. A customer behind them saw what the girl had done and raised the alarm to Kaya. At this point, Thea just ran out of the shop, continuing at pace across the road where she was nearly hit by a car.

Upon arriving at Tom and his friends, she chucked the purse in to his chest before running past them. Everyone else soon followed.

Kaya meanwhile was in distress and people in the shop came to her aid. The customer who spotted what the girl had done offered to phone the cops but the girl declined, her father would be the best person to call and she did so right now.

"Wow, I am working with a complete jerk!" Riley mentioned after his comment of her breaking a nail. "Me and you right now!" She said, offering him out right there in the office.

Rosamund's eyes lit up in shock, but a grin formed across her face. "I like her. Don't you Gabriel?" When the tension had settled somewhat, Rosa started to act like the superior she was.

"Enough of that now. You two are going to have to get a long whether you like it or not. Your briefing is over. I will be in touch when you are all set to leave. That is all."

Riley kicked back her chair and walked off, reaching the glass doors of Rosa's office she went through the offices and out in to the corridor. Going to a vendor machine she got herself a bottle of water and leaned against the wall feeling frustrated.

Gabriel just sat back, in his chair as he smirked at Riley, her buttons were easily pushed it seemed. "Heh, she does seem to have some spunk in her." Gabriel replied to Rosa's comment. It seemed Riley might be a little fun after all, at least he would have a little toy to play with. After the briefing of the mission was over, Gabe turned to Riley as he watched her kick back her chair and leave. Looking at her walking, he couldn't help but look at her ass. "She has a nice exit walk, wouldn't you say?" Gabe laughed turning to ask Rosa.

Soon after he did the same, getting up he decide to have a chat with Riley, to try and make peace. It seemed to be the best decision, if they were going to work together they needed to get along. "Hey.." Gabriel said as he found Riley against a wall. "I just want to say i'm sor..." he started but was quickly interrupted by his cellphone. Pulling out his IPhone he saw that it was his daughter. "Kaya?" he said softly out. Answering the call, he turned his back to Riley. "Kaya, what's the matter?" he said listening to his daughter. "You were what?! By who!? Where are you now? The coffee shop? Okay stay there..I'll be right there in like 10 minutes..just stay inside." Gabe sounded a bit stressed and angry. "Come with me.." he said grabbing Riley by the hand. "My daughter just got robbed for her purse." Gabe said making the situation sound a bit more worse than it actually was.

Taking the elevator, they quickly reached the first floor as Gabe ran outside. Looking around the parking lot, he found the black SUV that he drove for a few of his missions. Grabbing the keys for it that was in his pocket, he quickly open up the door as he waited for Riley. Once she was in, he sped off like a man mad. He was deeply worried about his daughter and it showed in his face. After about eight or so minutes they finally arrived at the coffee shop.

Double parking the car, he ran out as he found Kaya sitting at at a table. "Kaya!!" he called out which made a lot of people in the shop turn their heads. "Are you okay?" Gabe said placing his hands over her face to see if she was hurt or anything. "Who took your purse? Did you know what they looked like? Which way did they go?" he asked quickly, Gabriel was planning to go after them right away. Grabbing his daughters hand, he pulled her out of the shop. "Riley..take her back home okay. Let Riley drive okay honey?" At this moment Gabriel only trusted his daughter with Riley. "Now go okay.." Once he got the direction of where the criminal went Gabe went after the person like a speeding bullet on foot.

"Dad I am fine!" Kaya said on the phone, but it was to late, he had already ended the call and was on his way. Pulling a strand of brown hair behind her ear, the girl sat down at the table and waited for him to arrive. Rubbing her fingers against her arm to sort out an itch, the young woman at twenty years of age pondered what had just happened a few moments ago. Why did that girl do that? There must of been a valid reason for it? Kaya wasn't to sure but her nature wasn't to be angry, she wasn't like that. The beauty didn't have a bad bone in her body.

"If you keep driving like that your going to get us both killed!" Riley shouted in the passenger side of the car as the SUV was swaying in and out of traffic. "Just calm down OK? I'm sure she is fine, otherwise she wouldn't of been able to call you Gabriel." The woman did her best to try and calm down the man as they arrived at the place. Seeing him burst out of the car and in to the shop, Riley thought it best to stay outside for the time being.

"Dad?!" Kaya moaned, hugging her father as he cupped her cheeks in his hand. She told him everything that had happened, describing the girl who had stolen her belonging. When they went outside, Kaya pointed across the street where the culprit had ran off before she was left with Riley.

"I'll take you home" Riley said, opening the door for the daughter. Turning to Gabriel, Riley thought it was best to maybe leave it to someone else who wasn't emotionally involved. "How about you..." before she could finish, she saw him run in to the direction Kaya had pointed, leaving them behind. Driving off, Riley had her hands on the steering as she looked over at Kaya before taking a quick glance back at the road. "You don't seem shaken up or anything, you OK?"

Nodding her head, Kaya just smiled. "It happens. I'm sure she had a reason for doing it. Must of needed the money or something." Lifting her eyebrows up, Riley was impressed, even if it was confusing. "Good attitude, is everyone like that across the pond?" She was referring to her being from England.

"No, just the way I was brought up" she laughed.

After ten minutes or so, Riley parked the car outside the apartment and walked Kaya to the door before entering with her. The older woman in her late twenties admired the house, this time being the first in it. "Your dad has a nice place" she admitted, standing by the sofa as Kaya instinctively sat down. "You can sit you know?" She smiled, loving how polite and formal Riley was being.

Once Kaya had given her father the direction in which the thief had gone, Gabriel quickly started to jet off down the block which Thea was was last seen running down. It hadn't been to long ago since Kaya had her purse stolen, so the thief must of been close. Running down the crowded streets Gabe bumped into a few people as he started to hack into the cameras. Looking around the streets, he couldn't find any girl that matched the description of the girl his daughter had described to him. Running through images in his head, he zoomed into a suspicious alley way. Upon looking in further he managed to see a group of high schoolers. In the group he saw a girl, but her back was turned. All he saw was her dark hair, which matched the color that Kaya had mention. Looking around, he saw a guy who had the purse Kaya was carrying.

Quickly he ran down the street, making a turn as he saw the alleyway on the other side of the side walk. Running through some cars, he arched himself against the side of the wall as he walked closer and closer. He could hear the group auguring a little bit. Going to his jeans, he grabbed his gun that was tugged in his waist. He didn't plan to shoot it off of course, just to scare them.

Crouching a little bit, he stood close to the side of the alley. Suddenly, he popped out from the side into the middle of the alley as he pointed his gun right at Thea. "Freeze!" he yelled. The group of boys, instantly ran. Tom threw the purse to Thea who caught it. "Turn around!" he yelled at her. Once Thea did, he scanned her face. "Thea..queen? You're a spoil brat with a trust fund..goes to a private school. Gets straight A's...why would a girl like you want to steal my daughters purse?" he said as he walked up to her, placing his gun back into his jeans. Taking the purse from her, he grabbed her hand as he placed it around her back. Taking up her up the alley way he placed her against a wall. "Stay there..and don't you dare think to run..." grabbing his phone from his pocket, he called the local police department.

"The cops should be here soon." it was probably pointless to call them, all she would get off with was a warning probably, and maybe if her parents were somewhat strict they would ground her or something. "You rich brats are all the same..couldn't you get mommy or daddy to buy you a purse? instead of stealing from my daughter?" Gabe said with a stern grumpy look.

In a matter of minutes a police car came, Gabe told them what happened and they place Thea in handcuffs and took her to the police station.

Sighing, Gabriel started on his walk back home. Luckily it wouldn't be too long of a walk. In a matter of ten or so minutes he arrived home. "I got your purse.." he yelled as he held onto it, in his hand.

"Hey! Wait!" Thea shouted at the boys who ran off, leaving her to deal with the man holding a gun at her. When he started to read off her profile she looked confused. "What? How do you know that?" Holding her hands in the air like she just don't care, Thea watched him march her out of the alleyway placing her arms behind her back.

After he called the cops, she rested against the wall and didn't even bother to answer his question on why she stole it. Staying quiet for a few more minutes a squad car pulled up to the side walk and Thea was placed inside the back.

"Tell your daughter I said Hi!" She smirked at Gabriel before the car took her to the station.

"Thanks" Riley replied, taking a seat on the opposite end of the couch before crossing a leg over and looking at Kaya.

"Not the best start to your life over here is it?" Riley didn't really know what to say but she wanted to talk to the girl and get to know her.

"It happens as I said. I'm sure you have had bad things happen to you?"

"Yeah, well it happens" She smiled, her reply the same as the girl's. "It must be hard though, not having any friends over here or any boyfriends."

Riley turned her head a little bit. Was she being to personal? Asking about relationships? She could only wait for a reply.

"It's kinda depressing, I don't know anyone. I had boyfriends, but I was single when I came over here."

"Boyfriends suck, you need a girlfriend. They are much more..."

Suddenly, Gabriel came in and mentioned he had the purse back. Kaya was looking at Riley weirdly, wondering what she was going to say but instinctively turned to her father with a smile.

"Thanks Daddy. Who was it?"

Gabriel paused for a second as he entered in, he wondered if he had interrupted something? Shrugging he smiled and nodded at his daughter. "It was Thea Queen, some rich girl. Not sure why she would need to steal a purse. She was with a bunch of guys, when I found her. Don't worry though, I made sure to call the police. She should be at the local police station." Gabe said as he placed the purse on the small table top in the middle of the living room. Sitting down on the couch that was opposite from the two girls, he took a deep breath and sighed.

"Thank you Riley, for watching over Kaya." Gabriel said, though Kaya seemed unfazed by what had happened. "You two were talking before I came here, right? Seems like you two are getting along well." Gabe thought this was a good thing. If he needed a 'babysitter', at least it was a girl and one that appeared to get along well with his daughter. Kaya needed a friend, Gabriel thought. "Why don't you stay over for a little bit Riley, you can spent some more time with Kaya, and plus we need too.." suddenly he paused as he looked at his daughter. "We need to discuss the project that we are going to be working on together.." Gabriel said, not wanting to let his daughter know that he would soon be heading off to a dangerous camp to recuse some news reporter.

"Umm yeah, getting on well." Riley nodded, looking a bit pale. She felt rather awkward that she was going to talk to Kaya about having a girlfriend. It was really unprofessional of her, especially on her first day of a new job.

"I'd like it if you stayed longer to, it is nice talking to you" Kaya smiled, her look seeming curious about what she had mentioned. "Looks like I am staying for a bit then!" Not that she had any choice in the matter. Declining to would just seem rude.

Riley got the hint from Gabriel regarding the mission they needed to talk about. "Yeah, we can talk..about..work..."

The talking got on Kaya's nerves. "I can take a hint. I'll go to my room for a bit. Write in my diary, I'll be back down for dinner. You said you would get some Chinese." Leaving the pair, she had lied about that, she hoped she could get one over on her father as a little joke.

"Chinese sounds nice!" Riley smirked.

"Order Chinese?" Gabriel said a bit confused as he stared her down while she left the room. Turning to Riley, he shook his head. "I didn't promise her that.." he sighed, but went to get the phone and a menu, using the chip, he quickly figured out what kind of Chinese food she liked. He just went through her credit card bill. After ordering a whole platter of food he threw himself onto the couch. "That girl is such a handful sometime" he wasn't sure what was harder, his job at cybercom or taking care of his daughter.

"Anyway, she should be back soon, so lets start talking about the mission. Try not to mention too much about it if she asks you. I don't want her to...worry.." he said softly. To be honest he had no idea how she would react, his daughter seemed to have unique personality, she was quite rather carefree. He wasn't sure how she would react to the chip that was in his head too. Luckily she didn't ask, hopefully she had forgotten about it, but he had a feeling she didn't.

"The place, as I said before, is rather heavily guarded. But there are intervals when the guards tend to switch duties. It's only a few minutes, but that's the blind point where we have to enter in. Luckily, there's also more guards outside than inside. Once we are in, it should be easy pickings. There's a few cameras inside...but I should be able to take care of them." Gabriel had been thinking about a plan while he was walking back home, now that he had one, he decided to run it through with Riley and see what she thought.

Riley rolled her eyes at Gabe's comments about his daughter. She shook her head in a funny way, she didn't have kids of her own but understood that all of them were a handful to look after.

As he spoke about the mission, Riley listened and remembered him talking about the changing of shifts between the guards. "I still think we need more people, how can they just send me and you? I know you have this....this chip? But that isn't going to stop you from getting shot is it?" The woman kept her voice low, not wanting Kaya to overhear, respecting Gabriel's decision in not letting his daughter know anything at this point.

"We are going to have to be stealthy OK? I mean really stealthy. We even have to rely on this journalist being quiet to and not holding us back. I don't like this. I would rather be guarding the president again."

Riley was right the chip didn't protect him from getting shot, that was her job. She was suppose to keep him alive. Chuckling he nodded. "No it doesn't stop me from getting shot, but if we do our job correctly we don't have to worry about getting shot. Just like you said we are going to have to be stealthly. The point of this mission isn't to let the enemy know that we are there. All we have to do is secure the target." Her comment about them relying on the journalist was a valid one. Gabriel didn't know anything about this journalist, whether he or she was in shape, or even injured. The thought of the journalist slowing them down made Gabriel think. "That is true...it's a risk we just have to take. It's not certain what the out come of this mission will be...heck we may even die.." he laughed, still keeping his voice low.

"But there is a innocent person who is being held against their will, and for that we have to do whatever it takes to make sure they come back home safe and sound." Standing up, Gabriel went over to the fridge to grab a bottle of water. He was really all for justice, even though he didn't know this person, he wanted to make sure they were safe. Coming back with his water, he sat back down as he took a sip from it. "As for the president...just use your imagination and make believe that it's the president that's being held captive. Or..if you're into fantasies..think of the president welcoming you into his bed if you do a good job.." Gabriel said with a smirk on his face. Suddenly the bell rang, the food had arrived.

Opening the door and getting the bags, he paid and tipped the man before closing the door. There were quite the number of bags as Gabriel struggled a bit to bring them in. "Kaya! You're food is here...we're done talking too!" he informed his daughter making his way to the kitchen and bringing back some plates.

Riley wanted to say something back but by the time she could even think of a good come back she heard Gabriel come and call Kaya down. The last thing she wanted was to insult her future girlfriend's father in front of her. The three enjoyed a good evening, watching TV and sharing stories about their past. Kaya sat there interested yet she was more in to talking with her friends from England on her phone.

The following day, Riley didn't get in to the office until late. She had been moving her belongings in to a place above Gabriel's, if she was going to protect him it was better if she was as close to him as possible. It didn't bother her to much, especially as she would have seen Kaya every morning.

Once all of the boxes were inside, she left them stacked knowing that she wouldn't be here to long. Riley still had this mission to attend to and it was happening tonight. God only knew what lie Gabriel told his daughter, Riley was interested in hearing what he had to say for himself when she would ask.

Riley arrived at the HQ, waiting in the briefing room with her fellow agents. Rosamund was speaking about the target, Alexandria and her immediate rescue. "I have no idea why these journalists want to go in to hostile lands, but it is our job to get them out. Riley and Gabriel will be heading out there, I want constant surveillance on them, I assume the satellites have been put in position like I already asked Nelson?" The room fell silent, everyone turned to the man.

Gabriel found the conversations rather interesting. It was something new, usually his days at home would be spent alone with some beer, pizza, and a movie or something. This was different, he enjoyed the company. Maybe having Riley around wouldn't be too bad, she could at least entertain Kaya if he wanted to be alone.

The next day came a bit sooner than Gabriel had expected, he had been dreading seeing his daughter all morning. He wasn't sure how he would tell her that he would be gone for a little bit. Gabe wasn't sure how long this mission would last. At most it would probably be two days. Sighing, he made two cups of coffee, as he went up to his daughters room. "Kaya.." he said placing her cup on the small table top. "Honey.." Placing his hand on her shoulder he woke her up. "I'm going away for a little while, i'm going to be meeting with a journalist that wants to interview me about my job.." Gabriel chuckling hoping she would believe his lie. "I'll be leaving tonight and probably be back tomorrow or the day after. I left phone numbers for food, the fire department, police, and also the fridge is stocked up on food so you should be fine.." he said patting her cheek. After a few hours had past and night came, bidding his daughter farewell he gave her a big hug and kiss as he made his way to HQ.

Once everyone made it there, Gabriel leaned up against a wall as he listened to Rosa speak. "They probably do it because it's their job.." Gabe said sarcastically to Rosa as he chuckled.

"He has a point.." Nelson said shrugging as he agreed. "As for the satellites we have all of them in position! We'll be able to track them no matter where they are! We also have them in night vision, heat vision, and any vision! You won't be able to take a fart with out us seeing it!" he said laughing as he turned to Riley.
