A Goddess Scorned

Ceres, Goddess of pleasure and discord was a little more than upset. As the grains on the fields grew into wheat she still didn't get her proper sacrifice. She ruled all of Timus and Syalus and still her worshippers on both islands were a little less than pleasing. Sitting up in her chair she struck gold when an Idea came to mind. Would she scare them into obedience or perhaps self sacrifices were to be made. She was sure, but something had to be done. She took of bowl of water and dipped her finger into it. A view of young monk came to view.
