The bright full moon light shone through the window of a elderly man's room. His body laid in a hospital bed, a heart moniter beeping with the beating of his heart. His chest rising up and down slowly decreasing along with the beeps of the moniter. The man's family had stopped by earlier with tears raining from their eyes about the doctor's news. This man didn't have long to live, but death would be kind to him. In his sleep his soul will leave his body and join the rest in heaven above. He had a good soul and lived a good life, but every beginning has a end.

A figure broke away from the shadows. The darkness was chased away from the figure once it stepped into the moon light; the only light in the room. A woman was shown under the cloak of shadows. Her skin as pale as fresh snow like it's never seen the sun before. Her eyes were as blue as sapphires and sparkled like gems with long thick eyelashes bordering them. Her raven black hair flowed down to her mid back. Her body thin and curvy like a living hour glass with large round breast and rear. A long low cut black dress hugged her body with a slit running up one side up to her thigh. A cloak flowed over it hiding her body. On her back a pair of large raven feathers wings stretched open like they were about to take flight. This woman was a reaper; Nex the Grim Reaper.

Her face showed sympathy for the older man with a soft frowning gaze as she approuched the end of his bed. He was a rare one; he was wanting to leave. To abandon his damaged body to join his wife at the golden gates. She summoned a sythe with a long black shaft, the handle made of skulls with a long sliver blade growing from it. With a expressionless face, Nex raised her sythe high and brought it down onto the man; uninjuring his body. His lips opened slightly and a ghostlike steam of fog escaped and disappeared into the air. His soul was gone and where it belonged; in paradise. The only sound, the long high pitch drone of the heart moniter sensing no heartbeat.

Tsubaki, an angel of sadness, flew just outside the window. She had lessened the sorrow of the man's family, and began to work on them while they visited. She made the pain bareble for them, absorbing the exesive negative emotions. Death was upon the elderly man, and she knew a seperate kind of angel would be for his soul. All to often she saw this, but every time she would pity the soul. Most didn't want to leave, not yet at least.

Moonlight bounced of her midnight blue wings, while her black hair fell just to her shoulders. On her back a quiver latched at an angle, so drawing one of the many arrows was a fluid movement. In a sheath, just outside the arrows a crystal bow lay in waiting. It's amethyst hilt and sapphire curves glistened in light. Tsubaki peered up at the full moon, her eyes the same shade of sapphire that adorned her bow.

Suddenly, the heart ministers beeping flattened to a pitch just loud enough for her ears to catch. A reaper was here. Tsubaki panicked, then flew to the top of the building. She moved her attention to the loafing soul, drawing away it's sadness, leaving it pure at the golden gates. She blushed after her job was done. How could she lose track of time. She did enjoy being away from heavon, weird as it may sound. White angels, the most famous, often poked fun at her with mean comments or assumptions, and the red angels weren't far behind. Black angels were never seen around, so she didn't know what to expect out of them.

With her job finished for now, Nex watched the soul reach the golden gates to make sure no fallen angel tried to take it or have it loose its way up there. The other reapers were handling their parts well it would have been impossible for Nex to collect all these souls in such sort time all around the world. So God created more reapers that obey her orders making her the "Grim Reaper". Nex was as old as time, though she appeared young, Nex was born at the same time life was almost like they were twins, but in reality they couldn't be more different. She saw Lucifer fall, she took the souls of the Pharaoh Ramses' subjects who didn't listen to Moses. Nex spent little time in heaven for she had a job on the mortal plane, but also because the other angels see her as a evil being; a taker of lives. Despite her age and wisdom, the black winged angels were distained by the others that saw themselves better. All expect the angels of sorrow and healing, the blue winged ones. Nex didn't hate or even dislike the other angels, but she had far more respect for the blue winged angels.

There was more work to be done even with a army of reapers there was too much work to be done. Yet when Nex took her sapphire eyes away from the body to the moon she grew to love, Nex decided maybe a break would be nice. She made her scythe disappear then walked towards the window. There was a presence, an angelic one. Nex sighed softly and decided to ignore it for now. Nex disappeared from the room, but reappeared on a nearby rooftop. She smiled looking up on the moon with its light shining down on her. A faint wind running through her hair an clothes. Nex closed her eyes softly and took deep breaths. She didn't know what it was, but Nex was compelled to look to another rooftop to see a rather beautiful blue winged angel on one of the many rooftops surrounding the area.

Tsubaki had only been gazing at the moon for a few minutes, but she felt a rather angelic presence. Her eyes darted to a nearby rooftop. A single black-winged angel stood looking at the moon. She sighed and began to walk away, pushing off the side off the building to help in her flight. Her blue wings carried her upward, but she couldn't stop thinking of the black-winged Angel. She was buetiful, but she knew the angel probaly disliked her kind. Of all kinds, black-winged angels were treated the worse. Others saw them only as bringers of death. Personally, she knew that the job was needed for to humans to maintain themselves. Blue angels never mistreated them, though some fear was common.

Tsubaki didn't want to stay and be in the way of this reaper. She floated upward, with aid of her wings, and moved in a direction away from the female reaper. She did look back, and noticed the girl was watching her. 'I will get out of your way... Sorry.' She mentally said, making a link with that message, before breaking it and continuing to move towards heaven.

The poor blue angel, Nex saw them as the most beautiful of all angels even more then the white winged angels. The white winged ones were the most glorified and humans knew them best. There was so much that humans didn't know, but it was good that they were ignorant about heaven because it only makes it that much more exciting once they reach it. But little do they know the ones who help heal when their pain and sorrow are at its worse are the angels greatly under appericated. She admired their work. Nex took life away from humans, blue winged angels like that beautiful girl truly are something worth glorifying. They take away human's misery and emotional suffering. All Nex has ever done and all she'll ever do is take away human life.

Nex watched the girl starting to fly away back to heaven. She's never really interacted with the other angels because of their dislike towards her and her self isolation from heaven, but honestly Nex didn't mind the company even if they didn't talk. Hearing the mental link the angel created to speak to her, Nex turned more towards her and smiled softly. "I don't mind your presence. Actually it's kinda nice to see a angel who won't mock me. You can stay if you want." Nex spoke in a friendly and inviting voice mentally to the blue winged beauty.

Tsubaki turned suddenly as the black-winged angel replied. She looked back, a faint smile upon her lips. She descended to the roof top, looking at the female beauty. How other angels could hate her, she didn't even begin to understand. The reaper's job was important, unlike her own. She at least respected the being. She never mocked other angels, but occasionally saw the scene of the dark side of heavon. She hated seeing the black angels hurt, but she was to weak to intervene. Even as the main blue-winged angel. She held the majority of the worlds sadness, even other angel's pain from the great wars and falls.

Tsubaki noticed an aura of pain around the woman. "Are you Nex? The grim reaper we all know?" She whispered. Starting to pull away the sadness. She knew she couldn't hold it all, but she would try to contain the sorrow of the one angel she thought needed it most.

Nex smiled softly seeing the blue beauty deicided to stay. Looking at her it was hard to understand why she was picked on. Blue angels were beautiful and so was their job. They might not be the strongest angels, but their job is one of the most important. Without them taking away human sorrow who knows how many suicides or murders out of pain there would be today. Nex expirenced many souls whose pain was too great for a single blue angel to pull away, but Nex knew how to handle those cases well. If anyone wasn't to be picked on it should be the blue angels just because their phyically weak doesn't make them a weak angel.

When she asked her question in a soft whisper Nex could feel her saddness fading away. There was far too much for a single angel to handle, but it was making her happier and feel more light. She had to give her credit for trying to help her though. Nex lightly gave a nod with a bigger soft smile and with gentle eyes. "Yes, I'm Nex but you have nothing to fear from me Tsubaki. I wouldn't dare to hurt you."

Tsubaki smiled as Nex said her name. It was a small notion, but not many took time to remember her. She countinued to pull away sadness, taking more than any blue angel should be able to hold on their own. She strained herself as she removed a large portion of her pain, locking it away in the depths of her mind. The remander she spread out and did some tricks to make it seem much lesser. "I'm surprised you bother to remember me. Many don't..." She whispered, a pain noting the treatment she had received on her last trip to heavon. She was picked on at a joint battle training session by the white angels, their supposed partners. Even though tsubaki had many key points captured and watched their backs, she was called weak and useless.

"I certainly hope you wouldn't harm me, as I do not with to fight someone so much stronger than I." Tsubaki finished. She let her own energy surround her, a seemingly mist like substance that searched the area for more people in need of her help. The first it flowed to was nex, and tsubaki knew why. She had to try, even if it hurt her. She took the remaining sorrow from Nex, using all her power to not give in. Her wings folded and her legs became weak as she completed the task, at the cost of her own well being.

Nex knew everyone's name, every human, every angel, and even God's name despite she made a vow to never speak it. Tusbaki was no excuse. Though Nex quickly noticed Tusbaki's straining body it was amazing seeing the angel pushing herself to take so much pain away. Nex started to smile in a more cheerful fashion it's been so long since Nex has felt little to no sadness in her body. How could someone so amazing be looked down upon? As she listened to Tusbaki's swee voice, Nex started to frown again not because she was sad, but because she was upset from the fact no one tries to simply learn her name. It was sickening to see how cruel other angels could be around other angels. "I can't see why no one would try to learn such a kind angel's name." She replied softly.

Seeing Tsubaki's struggling legs and folding wings while a strange mist started to surround them. Something about the mist wasn't usual, but Nex had no idea what it was. Nex slowly walked towards Tusbaki with a sweet smile and placed her hand on Tusbaki's head caressing her hair softly. "I would never hurt you Tusbaki and you shouldn't be hurting yourself like this for me..." Nex carefully picked up Tsubaki and held her like a bride in both her arms, letting her legs and wings have some relief from the intensity she was inflicting on herself.
