What's with Charizard?

I just see too much love to Charizard, with it being the best Pokémon, it's megas outclassing all others, etc. etc. Really? It's by far the best, Rotom Wash is a pretty good counter, resisting both it's STABs, and with the Charizardite X, Azumarill is a huge counter, resisting one STAB and immune to the other. And besides, pokemon such as Talonflame and Volcarona do his job much better, with Gale Wings being a bit OP and Quiver Dance STAB Fiery Dance is a thing. And Stealth Rock.

And even non-competitive wise, Talonflame is the better choice, since it can do Charizard's job just as well, or better, since it can learn Fly, can learn some special attacks, and it gets Brave Bird and Flare Blitz, so really, Charizard is very much outclassed by other Pokémon who do it's job easily much better.
