Welcome to the World of the Elements!

Try to imagine a giant world with deserts, forests, mountains, flying cities, frozen tundras, floating islands, a forest where the leaves of the trees are surrounded by fire, hovering mountains and many other places where different creatures live. There are humans, demons, orcs, trolls, half-humans, undead creatures, dragons, giants, elves, ents, fairies, golems, dwarves, cyborgs and many more creatures in this world. You read it right, magic and machines do both coexist on this big planet!

How to create a character

The tutorial:

Before the game begins, each new player gets a starter-set that contains some gear, weapons, spells and special abilities (what you get depends on your character, including elements, class and jobs).

After you got your starter-set, you are not thrown into the game unprepared, everyone can complete a tutorial-like test where you learn the mechanics of this game and (probably) get a little bit stronger. Don't worry, if you fail the test then you can try your luck with a new one! You can skip the tutorial, but then you have only your starter-set.

As soon as you complete the tutorial, you can explore the giant world (one of the smallest of the giant fishes is bigger than a normal whale), fight npc's or other players, participate in the deadly Hall of Quests to become even more powerful, try to become a lord/king/god or get stronger to defeat the King of the Necromancers and/or the Lord of the Souls to safe this magical world from its demise.

What happens when I die?

You can create a new character and keep some of the abilities/spells/gear of your previous character (that only works with the previous character, you can't keep something from every previous character).

Summoning:

There are four different ways to summon a creature or other stuff. Normal summoning is for monsters who fight along your side, but they can compete against another summoned monster in an arena. They can die, but then you have to wait a while before you can sumon them again. figurines, statues, scrolls and other objects can be used to summon a creature too, but they have a limited use (weapons that have a creature infused in them are an exception from this rule).

Chimera-summon:

Creatures can be summoned by everyone who is able to use magic, but there is a way to make your creature even stronger without needing to go on a quest to give them a new ability or training it for hours. That method is known as the chimera-summon.

You can combine different summonable creatures to create a stronger one, but only when they have something in common (like a fire dragon and an ice dragon both being dragons so you can summon a two-headed fire-ice dragon). There is no limit to the chimera-summon, you can combine as many creatures as you want as long as they are compatible. Also, you need at least two or three creatures to be able to do this.

Castle-summon:

You can participate in a capture-the-flag-like battle at any castle. They can be held one vs one, but whole groups can fight against each other too. The castle gets split into two halves for the duration of the battle. The goal is to either destroy the other half or to defeat the leader of the other team.

These summoning spells are only available later in the game after you completed your tutorial or after a few adventures. You need some traps, weapons, armor and material for siege weapons before you can start your own castle-summon, but you can always join a siege and protect or storm a castle as a mercenary.

Tournament-summons:

You can go to a n arena-like place and get a whole set of spells, abilities, summonings, weapons and a set of armor. They are usable inside and outside tournaments, but you can't use any of your gear or abilities that wasn't given to you after entering. Beat this challenge and you can get more stuff to use in another fight inside the arena of a tournament. The further you go and the more you win, the more you'll get as a reward! Don't worry about losing, you can't die in a tournament and will keep everything that you've earned so far. Will you become a champion and earn a title, gold and fame or leave the arena with new abilities and equipment after defeating your opponents?

I don't use a level-up system, instead your character gets stronger by completing quests and by defeating others.

If you want, then you can have a sexual adventure, but normally this game doesn't contain any sexual content.

Have fun!

Looks good so far Asphodel, but you forgot to pick out another job and class. Also, what does your character look like? Take a look at the example of my character.

Looks good, but what does your character look like? Which parts of which races do you want to combine? You could have the eyes of an owl and the eyes of a hawk mixed together, wings when you don't want to get a jetpack later and a few other body parts to get another bonus for your classes. Or you could chose one of the races when you don't want to mix something together.

Ok, in that case just add human with angel-like wings to the list and you can start. Do you want any other special body parts like the eye of a beholder to be able to shoot laser beams or the ears of a cat to hear better or something like that, or just a normal human with wings? You are ready to start then...tell me, how much do you like riddles? And what is your favorite animal?

I love riddles and would contemplate on them for days. I get frustrated when I can't find the answer to them.

Favourite animal... Bengal cat but only because it is my Patronus.

...may have gone slightly overboard. Not sure. <.< If anything doesn't fit, let me know.

Arkanvel Morn, The Patchwork Girl

Imagine a monster cobbled together from scraps, pieced together around a young woman: That is Arkanvel. Tawny feathers jut at random from black fur on bat-like wings that nonetheless are forced into a mockery of an angel's, protruding stiffly from her back and forcing her to walk with a painful stoop. A green cat's eye look askance at the world, opposite a cluster of eight black orbs where the other ought to sit - and they all look over a wolf's muzzle that inexplicably ends in a beak.

The rest of her is little better; hands with fingers far too long, and patches of scales running up her chest, into ashen skin like the the hide of a demon that then blends unevenly into soft white fur, then the legs of a deer, ill-suited to walking upright.

Given how she looks, it is perhaps lucky that her first element is darkness, while her second is light - and the third ties into the fact that, in an amusing little turn of fate, she has a beautiful voice, for her final talent is with sound.

Fortunately, though her physical abilities are extremely lacking, she's a gifted summoner and necromancer; similarly, while those willing to work with her was somewhat of a small field, she learned healing and general herblore from a witch willing to overlook her unusual nature.

(In other words: Elemental affinities are darkness/light/sound, classes are summoner/necromancer, and jobs are healer/herbalist.)

Asphodel:

A mage and a ninja...a good combination. You start with a magical shuriken thrower which can shoot elemental shuriken (your elements, in this case normal ones and shadow), three kunai, five smoke bombs, a medikit, sewing tools, a basic survival kit, light armor or clothes, weak telekinesis, a shadow-cat as a summonable creature and three spells: one to heal light wounds, fireball and acidic lightning.

Chose one of the two: being able to talk with animals OR plants (bonus thanks to your first element). You can see perfectly in the dark even when there isn't any light there thanks to your second element darkness.

Initiating tutorial:

You wake up in an empty house without knowing where exactly you are. It is night right now, but there is no moon nor any stars in the clear sky. The door is locked or blocked by something and the windows have iron bars in front of them. What will you do first?

Arkanvel Morn:

Everything is fine with your character! Let's see what you get in your starter set...

A bag full with small figurines of animals (just throw one or more on the ground to summon an animal; each figurine can be used only once thanks to their size), a blade-staff made out of bones (like a spear or lance, but it can be used by magical users), a medikit, a basic survival kit, some herbs, chalk, candles, robes, a magical bow which shoots elemental arrows (your elements), sonic scream and the ability to summon the following creatures: skeletons, zombies, ghouls, a vampire or a lich (not both at once), an earth elemental, a fire elemental and a giant.

You can see in the dark like a cat and have heat vision thanks to your eyes.

The choice of your elements allows you to chose between weak umbrakinesis (telekinetical control over shadows) and weak luminokinesis (telekinetical control over light).

You have echo location, can use infrasound and ultrasound with your voice as well as hearing any frequency of sound.

Tell me, what is your favorite animal? Also, do you like solving riddles?

Umbrakinesis. Favorite animal... I suppose I'd have to pick ravens. Though there are a lot of neat ones. And riddles aren't bad, not the greatest at them, though.

Asphodel:

Good choice. You can get an upgrade later in the game by getting telepathy.

The churiken hit the door with a thud and get stuck. Your attempt of picking the lock with your sewing needles is a good idea. It takes you a while, but you hear a click and are now able to open the door. However, there is something heavy blocking your way out of the house and it's not moving a single inch. There might be another way out of this house...

Arkanvel Morn:

Ok, then you can summon a twilight-raven who is a mix of shadows and light too.

You start in the room of an empty crypt below the earth. You could try to raise the dead, but there aren't any corpses there. The statue of an angel is in the middle of two pathways.

The object is too heavy to lift it up, but it moves away after a while of pushing it telekinetically. You can now leave the abandoned house and explore the place. Looking around you notice that you are in a ghost town with lots of buildings, but nobody is there. A mountain can be seen in the far distance to the left. The town is surrounded by trees, but every house has nothing except sand under them which makes it look like they were build in a desert.

All the buildings look brand new just like the town was just build moments ago, yet nobody is here. You can find a few rations of food, climbing gear, a bottle with a strange liquid inside it, a small crystal that looks like there is some kind of smoke in itand a cage that holds a spider made out of stone. You can take anything of these things and then explore the island or just leave them where you found them.

By the way, I forgot to mention that every player starts with two magical items: a backpack that can hold all of your belongings no matter how big they are and a water bottle which refills itself.

The crystal breaks and the smoke wafts around you as soon as you touch it. Looks like you found an ability orb! They hold differet things from summonable creatures to new spells. Now you can cast ice spears too and shoot up to three of them at your enemies. Touching the cage causes it to glow and vanish along with the spider inside it. You got a new summon: Stone spider.
