The first show with a new assistant was always rough. So much could go wrong so quickly and blow the whole thing. But tonight was different, things had gone damned near perfect, a great feat considering she had only been hired that very morning.

Nick Sharpe stood at center stage, preparing to close out the night. He was dressed in typical attire for a stage magician. His sharp tail coat and matching slacks, hands tugging at his bow tie to loosen it as he addressed the audience of the theater, "You have been a lovely audience tonight folks." He shrugged off his coat and reached out, letting it go. The coat hung there above the stage, as if caught on some invisible coat hook before rolling up the sleeves on his shirt, revealing a strange series of tattoos on his forearms before clasping his hands together.

"You all deserve just as much applause as we do up here!" He cast a glance towards the side of stage, catching sight of his assistant waiting in the wings. He had gotten lucky and the costume seemed to fit her perfectly. And gave a slight nod to her indicating for her to come join him on the stage and carrying on with his speech.

"Magic is more then just slight of hand, more then just an impressive flash of smoke."

He spread his hands and a deck of cards suddenly filled the space between them, flying from one hand to another until the full deck was held in one hand. With a gesture he launched the cards into the air.

"The most important part about magic" he said, reaching up and snagging one of the cards from the air, "is just believing."

The cards overhead exploded, a brilliant display of fireworks filling the air and the crowd erupted in a collective gasps of shock before applause filled the air.

As soon as she'd walked into the interview he had said yes. She had to admit she was shocked but what could she say? She was ecstatic, here she was working for an incredibly famous magician, he was hot too. She was also shocked at how quickly she picked it up, how easy it was to be his assistant.

Emily Goode stood off stage, looking over this wondrous man, he was gorgeous and not only that, he was incredibly talented. She watched mystified as he took off his coat and it hung in mid air, how did he do that? Surely she would find out soon enough though as he would teach her the tricks of the trade. She had seen the tattoos earlier and even these mesmerized her, they were unlike anything she'd ever seen, they almost seemed to be linked to, magic.

She watched him as a snake does a snake charmer, coming out of her daze and he turned to look at her and nodded. The only downside? The costume, she didn't feel comfortable at all, she had always been shy and showing this much skin was unnerving for, mainly due to the lack of self esteem. She stood next to him plastering a smile on her face, hand on hip.

As the cards turned to fireworks around her she gasped along with the audience, but kept her smile in place in case they noticed. She caught his eye and they both bowed in time before walking off the stage. Her smile turned into a real grin as the audience kept on clapping long after they had gone off. She turned towards Nick her eyes bright with excitement.

The audience filed their way out of the theater, still a gasp at the final act of the night. Not long after Nick collapsed into a plush armchair in the spacey loft above the theater that he called home, a cold beer in his hand and a self satisfied smirk on his face. It had been a good night a bigger then usual crowd for a mid week show. His cat, a black ball of fluff with a partial tail prowled across the back of chair and hopped down into his lap, nuzzling against his free hand before padding across the floor towards the new comer, rubbing up against one of her legs before sauntering off in search of something else to do.

Nick took a sip of his beer, turning his attention towards the new girl...Emma, Emila, he couldn't really recall her name at that moment, instead simply stating, "you did good out there tonight. well, good enough considering it was your first night on the job." He rested the beer on the low coffee table in front of him before swinging his feet up to rest on the edge.

Emily followed him up to the loft watching him as he collapsed into the chair, watched as he took up the beer and smiled. It had been her first night and the adrenaline was pumping through her veins making her feel invincible, she wanted to go again. She smiled as he stroked his cat seeing a brief look of love in the mans eyes before it jumped down, nuzzling her legs, she gave it a brief stroke and it sauntered off, she turned back to this glorious man and then looked around for somewhere to sit herself. She settled for the floor and gracefully folded her legs.

"Thank you, I didn't know you were so... well good at illusion, I'd heard stories but even I was blown away tonight" she said. She looked at the beer thirstily , she was so thirsty and she could feel hunger building in her belly. "This costume though, is it well... necessary" she said with a blush, she had to admit it fitted her well but there was so much on show that she couldn't help but feel a little self conscious. She looked down at her nails which she had painted to look like a card deck. She'd hope he's catch onto it and compliment her but he seemed less interested in her and more in how well his show went.

"part of the job of the assistant is to draw the attention of the audience wile I do something sneaky. And what better way to do that then with a curvy blonde in a skimpy outfit?" Another swig from his beer, "though you could have changed out of it once we where finished the show. You want a beer? there's plenty in the fridge."

The old roatery phone in the corner began to jangle and Nick pushed himself to his feet with an irritated snort, the cat following after him. "This is Sharpe" he said into the receiver. He listened intently, picking up a pen and jotting things down as the person on the other end of the line, "Does it have arms and legs, or is it just the mist?" he asked, jotting down several more notes. A grin crossed his lips as he hung up the phone, turning to face her, "Emilia! Get changed! We have more work to do tonight!"

"I guess you're right" she said smiling at him gently and getting up to take a beer out of the fridge, she'd never had a probelm with stripping off her clothes in front of people, in fact she was comfortable naked as long as there weren't too many to witness it. When the crowd grew that's when she became self conscious and embarrassed. She took a swig of the cool beer and pulled off the outfit, all she was wearing underneath was a lacy bra and panties to match, both black with red trimmings, something that was perhaps more risque than the magician had imagined her to be wearing.

She watched as he went over to the phone, asking a very strange question, he's let her know this morning that other than a magician he did another job and he'd be assisting him with that as well, however he hadn't told her what that job was yet but she had a strange feeling that she was about to find out. She grabbed her clothes, putting on her relaxed blue skinny jeans and her black, combat boots, pulling over her bra a white vest top and a green button up shirt.
