Demonizing an Angel *(Silvana | Areawin)

In sleep, Mina seemed peaceful. Beautiful, even. Her features relaxed, though, occasionally, they would twitch and twist into visible discomfort. The I.V. still embedded in her ankle where it had been re-inserted earlier. Set to drip slowly, keeping the mix of silver and holy water in Mina's system, which kept her subdued. Passive. Sleeping to conserve what energy she had.

Even when Kaleb entered the room, she didn't stir. Didn't acknowledge him. Nothing until abruptly, her eyes opened. Red lashes fluttering open as a smirk curved at the edge of her lips, "Do you know why the crimson angel is dyed red?" Her voice was calm. Dangerously so, that smirk widening into a grin, "Because they say that in heaven, he painted the golden streets of heaven in blood. In punishment, he was stained red to be reminded always of his sins. Can you imagine? Shedding the blood of angels in a place so sacred?" Those eyes turned from the ceiling, to Kaleb, licking her lips slowly as she sneered, meeting his gaze head-on, "Oh, how I'm going to love watching him tear the skin from your still-living body when he gets here."

----------------------------------

Silence settled as the demon simply stared in near shock.

"If you're not going to enter, then I have no time to waste, boy."

Keiran's eyes were still wide, unable to believe what he was seeing, only now finding his voice, "I'm not a boy.... the name's Keiran.... You're... him, aren't you? Mina's father. The angel..." It came as a whisper, and for the first time in a good three hundred years, he felt rather... small. He'd never met the creature responsible for his sister's existence, and now, he could only step out of the way when the red-haired male walked by him, heading boldly towards the apartment complex that Keiran had only been lurking outside of.

Adriel in the flesh. Here. Now.

After a moment's consideration, Keiran dashed after him as Adriel kicked in the front door with little to no effort. The door falling completely off it's hinges and hitting the floor, a cloud of dust rippling up from around the edges. Like the apartment's outside, the inside seemed poorly cared for... but that didn't seem to fool Adriel. The angel closing his eyes, inhaling deeply, completely ignoring Keiran who went over, checking some of the rooms, kicking in a few doors. Until Adriel's eyes snapped open, turning his head down the hallway, advancing with certainty in his steps. Bringing the two of them in front of a door.

"It's just a closet." Keiran commented, flinching away at the glare that was thrown his way, "Look again, you imbecile." Pushing against the back panel of the closet, the wood gave way... revealing a set of stairs that lead downwards, "After you."

Keiran frowned, "But..."

"You're here for a reason, yes? Better see it through properly, yes?" Before the silvernette could complain, a shove sent him tumbling down the stairs, only just managing to catch himself on the railing near the bottom. Where several pairs of silver hues turned his way.

"Hi."

Keiran wasn't answering. Silennia ran her fingers through her hair, all of her nerves on edge. Something was happening. Something was wrong. She could feel it, deep into her bones, into her very soul. She got up and slowly moved around, putting on a pair of jeans and sweater before scarf and jacket, not even bothering to brush her hair. She wasn't going out to impress. No, Silennia wanted this to end. All of it. And that wasn't going to happen if she stayed cooped up inside.

It was one of the rare moments when she longed for a car. A taxi meant she would have to get out and walk around at some point, and if people were going missing, it wasn't safe for her. She did not have a gun or any kind of weapon other than her fists; not having the foresight to hide a knife in her boot before she was slipping into a cab. That uncomfortable tingle along her flesh was getting worse.

She took the cab one block past the club, not wanting to be seen by anyone outside. At least she was smart enough not to have money on her person. Just a credit card that she could cancel if anyone tried stealing it, and even then, it was in a small slip of plastic in her back pocket with her ID and a few other cards. There was no sign of Keiran, and no disturbances that she could see. A few homeless people on the street. One of them playing with something in her hand.

Rather odd, she thought, for someone to have a smart phone when they were out in the cold.

Approaching them wasn't the smartest thing she'd ever done, but what choice did she have? She needed answers, and the homeless network was sometimes the best way to get them. Coming closer to the person, she decided that it was near impossible to tell what gender they were, with so many layers of clothing and dirt smudged all across their face.

"Excuse me?" Silennia came to stood a few feet away from the person, making sure she was in a spot where she could see all the way around her so that nobody could easily sneak up from behind. The person looked up and sneered from the phone, showing their teeth. A sort of hissing noise coming up from their throat, causing Silennia to take a step back with a confused expression.

"I'm sorry," she began again, "but my friend is missing. Where did you get that phone?" From what she could see, it had a bright pink case around it. If it were Korina's, it would be bright pink with "KID" in tiny silver letters at the bottom right, where the charger would plug in at.

The homeless person sneered again and gripped the phone against their chest. Silennia decided that it was a woman. "Ma'am... I'm not trying to take it from you. I just want to find my friend. The phone doesn't matter. Please." She kneeled down and placed her hand on the ground. "May I see it? Quickly. Just for a second."

The woman was no longer sneering, at least, but the expression was replaced with one of distrust and uncertainty. Silennia took a few small crouched steps toward her, where she became defensive again. "Please." Silennia's voice cracked. Only then did a type of recognition fill the person's eyes, and they reluctantly reached out to hand Silennia the phone. She quickly flipped it over. Sure enough, KID was scrawled there. With another look, she saw that the battery was only at 9%. Perhaps the person had her entire purse; she honestly didn't know. However, she also promised that she would not keep the phone, and so she handed it back.

"Did you see where she went?" she asked.

The other woman nodded and pointed across the street, holding up two fingers, making a "zero" sign with her hand, and then holding up three fingers.

"Two-Oh-Three?" Silennia questioned.

The woman nodded, got up, and scurried away rather quickly, as if she were afraid of something.

"Huh."

With that, Silennia checked her own phone one last time before crossing the street. There were several abandoned apartment complexes in this area. No one was on the streets, and most of the lights were broken. However she squinted until she found the numbers: 203 W. ADMINTON was in broken-up and chipping letters next to one of the doors. It looked rather terrible and definitely run down. Certainly not possible for Korina to have gone in here willingly, that's for sure.

Just as she dared to step inside, she heard a loud thud, then snarling.

"K-Korina?" It wasn't like her to stutter on words. Fear and an overwhelming urge to flee swam up through her throat, mixed with the desire to keep moving forward and fight whatever was up ahead. Coming to a room where the closet was opened; hissing and snarls at the bottom of a set of stairs, there, although she couldn't see what or who it was. Not having the courage to come within several feet of the door.

----------------------------

Silver eyes caught Crimson ones. Such a strange thing for her to say upon awakening, since he was sure she was sleeping at his entry. Her words did not scare him, though. Anger flared through instead. He stood, pushing his hand onto the needle in her ankle and squeezing the bag. Too much force would have propelled the needle outward, but not with his fingers securing it in place. Nearly a pint of the mixture entering her bloodstream within seconds.

All too late as he heard his vampires hissing and snarling. They were attacking something. And then he realizes just why Mina had woken so abruptly.

Ten vampires all at once attacked Keiran, digging their fangs into the incubus' flesh and tearing it away. They weren't aiming to feed; they were aiming to hurt or possibly kill, having instantly sensed that he was a threat to them. With so many of them on the silvernette, however, there weren't many to figure out that the overwhelming presence they felt was not entirely Keiran. Only a handful of them noticing that that presence was just coming down the stairs.

Kaleb didn't have time to even exit the room before he could smell, hear, and feel the bloodbath begin.

On a normal occasion, Mina would have done all she could to avoid pain. To avoid further damage to her body. The red head tensing visibly when Kaleb had stood. Not because she feared him, no, rather, she knew what his intent was. Seeing his hand reach for the needle embedded in her ankle. Her head falling back as he squeezed the bag, forcing a good portion of it's contents straight into Mina's bloodstream.

Her jaw clenched tightly as that burning sensation riveted through her veins, that pained expression etching itself back onto her beautiful face, until she couldn't help the sound that ripped from the demon's lungs. Her body writhing in the binds. Pained screams dying into hysterical laughter as the sounds from above reached her ears. Gods, it hurt, but that sound was wonderful.

Like music, it was.

"He's here. He's here! And he's going to rip that putrid heart from your pathetic chest!"

-------------------------------

The incubus snarled, flinging vampires off of him as they came at him, the pain of their teeth sinking in his skin only serving to infuriate him. Catching one by the throat as teeth snapped viciously just inches from Keiran's face, snapping the male's neck with a grimace. Remembering exactly why he disliked vampires in the first place. There were too many for him, however, and in the matter of a minute, the incubus wasn't even visible anymore, swamped by his attackers.

From the top of the stairs, Adriel watched as the young demon was almost instantly covered in hissing, snarling vampires. They behaved like wild dogs on a hunk of meat, and the sight disgusted him. How foolish they were. How short sighted. Keiran instantly deemed a threat as they sensed Adriel's energy- mistaking Keiran as the source. How... cute.

By time Adriel casually made his way down the stairs, the scent of Keiran's blood in the air was strong. Though, the second Adriel's feet touched the bottom step, trails of liquid fire formed along the floor, rapidly crawling to where Keiran was.

A female vampire abruptly bursting into flames when one of those trails of fire slithered right beneath her feet, crawling up around her ankles and rapidly ascending, screaming as she uselessly beat at the flames that greedily licked at her flesh. As if the flames had a life of their own, and a hunger insatiable.

No, there was a far greater danger present here in plain sight. Adriel smirking maliciously.

Keiran emerging from the swarm, snarling as he slammed one vampire's skull against the floor hard enough that a sickening crack. Amber hues having darkened. The whites of his eyes having bled black while the iris burned gold, black, black tattoos beginning to crawl along the incubi's flesh as he slung another vampire off of his back.

Adriel walking across the main room, setting anyone foolish enough to try and stop him aflame, until a familiar figure crossed his path. Flames swirling around her and Adriel in a closed-off spiral.

"Adriel."

He met the female's gaze, "Sailene."

"Don't call me that." Lilith's voice hissed, golden hues narrowing dangerously, lunging without warning. Though, she never quite made her mark. In a split second, she found herself slammed against the floor, Adriel sitting on top of her, his hands squeezing tightly around her neck as she thrashed furiously, trying to throw him off, "I never fancied that you would live this long." He cooed softly, leaning his head down, "How pitiful." His grip tightening, "How delightful."

She couldn't breathe, clawing at Adriel's hands, even swiping at his face. Wanting to hurt him in any way possible, but, when he let go, he grabbed hold of her wrists, pinning them to the floor. The vampiress snapping at him, but she was pinned just so that her teeth couldn't reach. A scratch on Adriel's cheek dripping a single drop of blood that splashed on Lilith's cheek. Golden hues widening.

"Ah yes... you remember don't you? The taste?" Adriel smirked, "Almost enough to make you forget everything and... slip into pure ecstasy." He breathed, both her wrists pinned by a single hand as he reached with the other, wiping the drop of blood away from her cheekbone, licking it off the tip of his finger. That scratch already sealed shut on his face.

Behind the pair, the second set of stairs descended downwards.

Kaleb leered over her, pulling a knife from a leather sheath on his side. "How about I carve you up first?" he whispered. "Serve you to daddy." He ran the tip of the knife along her flesh, making a fine line that bloomed with crimson. He angled it so that it went up under her flesh, and cut a piece of it straight from her arm. He was furious, but couldn't quite put his finger on the reason why.

"I'm done playing games," he sighed. With a single swift motion, he buried the knife deep beneath her ribs; pushing it upwards. It was sharp and made a sickening sucking noise, the deeper he pushed it up; the blade long enough so that the tip of it scratched at the bottom of her heart, and going through any organs in between. He twisted it there, in a full circle, and then arched the knife up hard; breaking completely through the three lower ribs and slicing her open. All on her left side. "You aren't worth staining my steel for," he snarled, and wiped the blood off on her right arm, then her clothing.

-------------------------

The humans were still there, completely unconscious, in near-comatose states with how little blood the vampires left them. Add on exhaustion, blood loss, and the powerful venom that younger vampires injected during feeding, and it was enough for them to sleep through a bomb going off.

Silennia nervously stayed at the top, several feet away from the door that was at the stop of the secret set of stairs. By this point, the door had slowly swung shut until it was only an inch open, but the inhuman noises that were coming from below were still heard. Something in her wanted to call the cops and have them handle the problem, whatever it may be, but something else was holding her back. She was having an inner battle with herself, since her instincts were also telling her to go down the stairs and deal with what was happening.

And she nearly followed that instinct. Placed her hand over the doorknob.

A long, slender hand gripped her shoulder firmly. She spun around to see dark crimson-flecked eyes. A handsome pale face. Long black hair. High cheekbones. Slowly, her eyes narrowed as she looked at him. Her blood greeted the presence happily, yet her body rejected it.

Abigor stood there, and rather gently, he pulled Silennia away; being careful to not touch her skin to his own. It would ruin most of his plans, were she to find out what was happening to her. "I wouldn't do that," he said softly. Dark eyes flickered downwards, smelling the blood of... an angel? A wicked smile touched his lips. "Be a dear," he cooed, tucking a strand delicately behind her ear. Still not touching her. "Go back home."

Silennia felt strangely compelled to do what he said, and slowly began walking away. He felt her push it off, though, and she spun around.

"Who the hell are you?" Her words came out in a snarl, and she slapped his hand away. Touching his skin. Feeling a shock go up through her arm; her blood slowly heating up. A sense of pure relaxation mixed with adrenaline coursed through her.

He suddenly looked very irritated. Takes after me, he thought with amusement. Too bad that was to his disadvantage. However, it seemed that she had the temper of her mother. Yes, this was interesting.

Another snarl from below reminded him why he was here. To protect her. He wouldn't allow her to foolishly get herself killed over something so pathetic as vampires stealing another demon. He roughly pushed her against the wall, placing his hand around her chin rather firmly and boring into her eyes. "Go. Home. Silennia."

She visibly tensed, but the harder he stared into her eyes, the more she began relaxing. A dazed sort of look was there now, and although she was still fighting it, she sighed and nodded. No, she had no choice in the matter. Her body, her blood, even her mind, was pushing her away from the scene. Out of the complex. Into a cab. Up the stairs, and into her apartment. Only when she got there did she realize what happened. Angrily, she stormed back to her door, but when she went to open it... she couldn't. Her body wouldn't let her. A mental block keeping her from doing so.

Abigor was satisfied, knowing that it would work until he released his spell from its powerful hold. Meanwhile, he made his way quite casually down the stairs. The vampires were still quite focused on Keiran, and he recognized him as the presence that had been around Silennia as of late. An amused smirk touching his features as he saw the incubus slinging off vampires, one by one.

"Quite a party," he murmured quietly. A vampire ran up, attempting to slice into his cheek with long claws. As soon as Abigor's hand touched the creature, though, black veins spread up the area that he was touching. Fingers wrapped around the creature's throat. The veins began taking a purple hue. Eyes rolling into the back of the vampire's head. Crumbling into coal-like pieces from the head, which spread downward until that broke down into ash.

The story of vampires turning into ash is completely untrue. Legends. Myth. Even in sunlight, they didn't. They burned, like an overly-cooked roast. Dried up. Shrivelled away. Ultimately they broke down much like humans did, just dry instead of wet.

That laughter was cut short when that blade sliced her flesh, a furious snarl ripping from the red head, thrashing so violently against her binds that one of them snapped.... but only one. She still couldn't move. Couldn't fight back. Trying to break free as she saw his hand draw back, viciously flailing against her binds with near desperation, already fore-seeing what was to happen next.

Snapping one wrist free when it was far too late. Trembling fingers having caught hold of Kaleb's shirt as that steel slipped up under her ribs.

Crimson hues grew wide, unable to do anything as Kaleb pushed the blade deeper... and even deeper. Her mouth opening in a silent scream as she felt his wrist twisting. The blade catching for a moment on Mina's ribcage. A near sob escaping her at the agony, "STOP-" the pressure building and building until-

She felt her ribs snap.

Her voice reaching her only now as a blood-curdling scream ripped from her, only to be choked out as blood to pooled inside of her, the knife ripping free from her flesh once more. Her entire side left gaping wide, blood rapidly spilling out of her.

Mina's body making no attempt to heal. It couldn't. Not with this much damage and so little energy. For the first time, it occurred to her that she very well could possibly die here. Like this.

No.

Not like this.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fear had crept into Lilith's eyes. Pupils dilating as they locked onto Adriel's throat, which was just out of her reach, "No..." Her voice came as a whisper, shaking her head slowly, even though she'd leaned up, yearningly, "No... no..." Throwing her self back, "NO! GET OFF OF ME!" She snarled, Adriel smirking darkly down at her, though, that smirk faltered abruptly as something else caught his attention, his eyes growing wide.

His head turning away from Lilith to the stairs.

"Mina."

In that split second, Adriel's grip on Lilith's wrists loosened, the vampire breaking free, her claws sinking deep into his chest as she slammed into him, knocking him onto his back and sinking her teeth into his throat as she completely lost control at the scent of his blood. It was divine, sweet. Maddening. Like a babe at it's mother's nipple, she swallowed deeply, before Adriel flung her off of him. The vampire's body flying a short distance away and slamming into the floor, rolling several times before she was back on her feet. Adriel already completely out of her line of sight.

Across the room, Keiran snapped yet another vampire's neck, his head turning towards the side as another presence caught his attention, his eyes growing wide as they came to rest upon Abigor. Just in time to see a vampire reduced to mere ash, "SHIT." He breathed, hissing when another vampire sank it's teeth into him. Adriel having vanished deeper into the nest.

Lilith standing there, trembling slightly, licking blood from her lips as her head turned over her shoulder, towards Abigor. Towards the pile of ash at his feet.

She couldn't focus, couldn't think. Any and all logical thought having abandoned her the second she'd bitten into Adriel's neck. Her hands clamping down tightly on the sides of her head as she sunk down to the floor.

What had she been thinking, coming here?

She couldn't remember.

----------------------------------

Adriel had practically leaped down the stairs, hitting the floor and not slowing until he found his destination, busting through the door with a wave of flames just behind him, his gaze fixing on the form in the center of the room.

Mina was strapped down, her fingers uselessly trying to undo the rest of her binds, though, each time she tried to, her grip would slip, blood practically covering everything around her at this point in time. Crimson hues, so like his own turning towards him, tears welling up in them, "D, da... daddy-"

A stab of pain ripped into Adriel's chest as he recognized the fear in her eyes, the pain....

In a instant, he was there at her side, "Shhhhhh, shhhhhhh...." He breathed, grabbing hold of those leather binds, tearing them in half as he brought Mina into his arms, so focused on her that everything else was forgotten, "Shhhhhhh, my little one... it's alright..."

She was dying. Bleeding to death.

Smoothing her hair back from her face, Adriel cradled her head in the crook of his arm, from his back, wings extended, showing themselves for the first time since he'd entered the vampire's nest, wrapping around Mina protectively as he leaned down, his hand brushing against the gaping wound in her side. A whimper escaping from her, "D, Dad-" Her voice cracked, but what she wanted to say was lost as Adriel shook his head, "Don't speak, Mina."

Against her skin, his hand had started glowing, as if it was hot. That aura seeping into her wound as her body jerked violently in his hold, screaming as her ribs snapped back into place, flesh re-knitting itself back together, that glow spreading throughout her body. Her veins lighting up just beneath the skin as Adriel's power seeped through her.

Kaleb timed it rather perfectly. Leaving the room before the crimson angel began to realize what was happening. Slipping into a compartment rather close. Waiting. Waiting. The creature finally made himself known, bringing along a trail of fire behind him. All of his attention on his dying daughter. Leaving him vulnerable.

And that's when Kaleb made the first move.

Barricades came down silently within the room, lining the walls with rough steel and poison, set in a criss-cross pattern. Not poison in a traditional sense, but rather a toxic mixture of demon and angel blood that had been fed to a goat before slaughter; its blood now coating the bars. The same reinforcement lining the walls outside of the room, in an opposite pattern.

From a piece of the upper wall and ceiling, small square pieces shifted upwards and out of the way. Silver spears, attached to tubes, shot forward. Through Adriel's hand, where he was healing Mina; into the succubus -- providing more damage than what was initially done, although easily repairable if addressed in time. Ripping into his shoulders and wings. The spears weren't particularly large, nor dangerous; however, upon impact, they burst open like a backwards hook, making removal more difficult. A set of six dug into the angel, with his blood being drawn into the tubes that were attached.

-----------------------------

Keiran had finished off a rather large amount of the vampires, and Abigor clicked his tongue appreciatively at the damage. Out of nowhere, none other than Maurice jumped onto the demon's back, digging fangs into his flesh. Abigor flinched, using his elbow to cast the vampire backwards. A mosquito. He didn't turn toward the vampire, though. Knowing what his blood would do to the creature.

Maurice began making gurgling noises, with foaming blood rising up from his throat. The same black veins that had reduced another vampire to ash were now vining out away from his mouth. It was an excruciatingly painful death, and he did not turn to ash, but rather broke down into a fleshy yet still recognizable lumpy corpse.

It was then that Abigor turned his attention toward the incubus, truly seeing him for the first time. White hair matted with blood, clothing slightly ripped, with even more crimson bleeding down from healing, healed, and still-open wounds. Yet he was still fighting. "Admirable," he murmured, and turned, walking back up the small flight of stairs.

This girl in his arms... his child. She was precious to him. The only one in the entire world who he loved. Who he cherished. He smiled to her softly, a softness having come to his eyes. A glimpse perhaps of the being he once was, "You've grown." He commented softly, though, as Mina's wounds began closing up, the bleeding almost stopped, she gasped out, "Daddy- It's a trap!"

Too late.

Almost as soon as Mina managed to utter the words, a spear came ripping straight through Adriel's folded wings, piecing his hand, and finally, sinking straight into Mina's belly, the tip of the spear ripping out of her back and nearly stabbing into Adriel's leg. Several more piercing into his back, the angel hissing as the hooks opened, lodging the spears firmly into place, "Mina!"

One of his wings had been pierced, having been folded around Mina, the spear having gone straight through the hollow bone. Blood slowly trickling down and off of his crimson feathers. His opposite hand reaching for the spear that now pierced through Mina, his fingers wrapping tightly around it, heating the metal in his grasp until he could snap it off, sliding it free from her flesh and freeing his wing and hand. Throwing the piece across the room in disgust. Mina having lost consciousness by this point.

With her free from him, he channeled more energy into her, forcing the wounds to heal faster, while his head shifted, examining the walls. Clever.

"So, you've done your homework." He commented, laying Mina on the floor as he rose to his feet. Feeling the blood being sucked out of him slowly, "Bold, but I don't think so." He hissed softly, reaching back as he grabbed hold of one of the spears, ripping it out of his back with a snarl, blood splattering against the floor, erupting into flames violently the second it struck and crawling across the floor for the walls. Four spears left. A huge gaping wound visible in Adriel's back.

---------------------------------------------------------

He felt absolutely exhausted, panting, so many open wounds on his body that it was a wonder he was still standing. Looking around him, he was surrounded by bodies. Adriel still absent. What was taking so long? Shifting his gaze towards the stairs, he looked back to the other demon.

Who the hell was that?

In Damien's absence, demons were turning up at every corner all of a sudden, but this one... this demon made his blood run cold. He was like Adriel. Ancient. Powerful... but something seemed much more... sinister. Meeting Abigor's gaze for a moment before he was forced to deal with yet another vampire, a few still fighting him. By time he'd dealt with it, the demon was gone.

Staggering across the room, Keiran's hand covered one of the larger wounds on his arm, making his way towards the stairs, casting a cautious look towards a vampire with long, raven-black hair. Though, as she met his gaze, her eyes a stunning shade of gold, she started laughing, wrapping her arms around her legs, "I have no quarrel with you." She replied simply, and with that, started rocking back and forth in the floor.

One less vampire he had to fight with.

The incubus paying no attention to a silver-haired male who approached the vampiress after Keiran had walked past her, the pair vanishing.

Lilith and Luciano.

Mother and Son.

Outside, Luciano stopped, eying Lilith warily, "Are you alright?" Concern filling his voice. Overall, Luciano was unharmed, a deep cut visible on his cheek, but that was it. A cut he'd received when coming a bit too close to Keiran during the chaos.

"I'm fine." Lilith's eyes were closed, "I'll be just fine." Walking away, Luciano hung behind, watching her, "What now?" He called after her, "That's it? All of this to just get a taste of his blood? Is that was this was all about?!" His hand tightened into a fist, watching her halt. Turning her head back towards him, "Adriel's emerged for the first time in a full century. The blood-stained angel himself. What I seek, he no longer has, Luciano. It's as simple as that." She sighed, "I've been foolish. This was a waste of time... but Kaleb..." She smirked, "Oh, Kaleb's absolutely up to no good."

Walking once more, she waved him off, "Stay a little longer. Kaleb will have to rebuild his coven, but you already have his trust. Take advantage of it, my son, and see what his intent is."

-------------------------------------------------

Adriel's hand trembled slightly as he took hold of the last spear embedded into his back, his jaw clenched tight as the hooks ripped free from his back, dropping it to the floor as well. Free, but the damage was quite severe, the flesh slowly stitching itself back together as he lifted Mina's motionless body into his arms. Concentrating the flames that had sprung to life in the room onto the wall directly in front of him, his gaze shifting towards the ceiling warily.

The steel walls slowly beginning to glow a hot red as the metal heated.

With enough time, his hell fires would melt the steel. That, however, would take several minutes.

Homework was something that Kaleb had definitely done. Years of it. Years of planning. That was the hard part -- the planning. Checking meters. Only half a pint had been taken from the angel and successfully stored away. Most of the tubing having been burned and separated from the connections now. But there was one more round to come, and they were aimed straight for crimson wings.

Another set of six spears. Piercing through feather and bone. None of them hitting Mina this time around. One missed entirely and clinked against the wall. If you clip an angel's wings, what are they to do? Kaleb also knew that it wouldn't take long for Adriel to figure out how to escape. Mina was critically injured to the point that he didn't think the angel would make an immediate comeback. It's what he was relying on, actually.

He could feel in his own blood just how many of his nest had been slaughtered. Only a handful remained. It was, in some ways, saddening, but he would be able to mourn later. Not that he would cry over any of them., since he refused to get attached. The strange, powerful demonic presence seemed to be gone now, but the lesser one remained. Strange.

All of this happening within less than an hour, yet he felt exhausted. It was almost over. Soon enough he'd have what he worked so hard for, and that would be that. The steel slowly melting away. It was either the angel focus his energy on getting the barriers down, or pulling out the blade-like spikes. By this point it didn't matter. Just seconds until Kaleb will have reached his goal amount of the angel blood, at a full pint. He wasn't going to be greedy and stay longer. It wasn't safe, and he knew it.

As for the humans in his nest, he decided not to concern himself with them. Eventually they would wake and meander out to the street, or someone would come looking for them. It was no longer in his interest to ensure their safety.

Korina, however, was beginning to stir. Small blood splatters all along her, making her feel damp and sticky. A putrid sickly-sweet scent of metal and blood. Her eyes opened, but everything was hazy. And red. So much red, all around, even in the dim light.

--------------------

Silennia paced. She'd calmed down enough to sit down and run a brush through her tangled hair, finding it relaxing. Her moods were unpredictable, to the point that it began to scare even her. If she didn't get a grip onto her emotions, she could feel herself slipping into something that she couldn't put a name to. Something dark within her own blood, demanding to release itself.

Finally relaxing enough to wait anxiously on the edge of her bed with the television on, playing at low volume to a nature documentary about snakes. She knew that she'd be able to feel it the instant it happened, when the strange man with dark hair released her from his grip. Nothing made sense, and because it was so unrealistic, she decided to just go with it.

Eagerly watching the door in hopes that either Keiran or Korina would pass through it. Even Damien would be a welcoming sight at this point.

Adriel's head fell back, a hiss sounding as each one of his six wings were pierced, dropping down to one knee from to intensity of the pain. Still cradling Mina against his chest, those hooks latched into his wings and spreading them out straight above him. The flames against the wall burning even hotter, until finally, the steel began to liquify, and on the other side waited a beaten and bloodied Keiran.

"Shit." Keiran breathed, seeing the scene, and as soon as the flames subsided enough for him to pass through, Keiran entered the room, cutting the angel free, carefully sliding the spears free, mindful of the hooks, his gaze falling on Mina. She was deathly pale in the angel's arms, dark shadows beneath her eyes.

Keiran watching Adriel as he stepped out, his wings dragging behind him, 'Is she-"

"No... but she will be very soon if not taken care of." There was a accusing tone to Adriel's voice that caught Keiran off-guard, the demon's gaze narrowing, "What the fuck is that-" In a second, Adriel snarled, turning on him, catching Keiran by the throat and slamming him harshly against the wall, "It means you've failed your own flesh and blood, boy." Slamming him against the wall a second time, Adriel let go, walking away, his wings shedding damaged feathers like before when he'd escaped Vermina's clutches, lifting up off the flood and once more folding neatly against his back. Vanishing from sight.

Reaching the floor above. Bodies scattered all through out the room, only a few remaining, and when they laid eyes on Adriel, they fled before the angel could think to turn his wrath upon them, one not making it in time, a trail of fire racing across the floor after her, catching her by time she reached the stairs, where she collapsed, writhing until she ceased to move, unable to beat the unnatural flames out.

Keiran's eyes slowly reverted back to normal, those strange tattoos retracting slowly, until finally, he was back to normal, though, those cuts had yet to heal, still. Chunks of flesh actually missing from the brutality that had been unleashed upon Keiran. Pausing, Keiran's head turned, finding Shiori and Ratri, the pair miraculously unhurt, still sleeping on the couch where they'd been left. Shiori's neck exposed, a scarf having slipped loose and laying uselessly next to her, several bites visible against her pale skin. A pang of guilt twisting in his gut... but only for a moment. Ratri in even worse condition, Keiran grimacing a little as he pulled Ratri's collar back to see, covered in bites all over his neck and shoulder. Picking her up and tossing her over his shoulder, lifting Ratri up under his opposite arm. Adriel not bothering to wait for Keiran.

Had Mina's life not been fading away slowly, Adriel would have hunted Kaleb down. Would have ripped his throat out and burned him alive.... but it would have to wait.

The incubus about to leave when movement caught his attention, his head turning.

"... Korina?"

Kaleb had what he needed, and had fled with Anastaysia seconds before Adriel had melted the bars down to where he could escape. Following a simple trail that his nest knew rather well, in case any of them wanted to follow him. Smoke emerging from the floors and upward, where fire was rapidly catching onto anything it could. It wouldn't be long before firetrucks came.

A new face appeared, then, having avoided Adriel completely. Raoul. His eyes were a brilliant gold, but they shifted into brown upon seeing Keiran. Sheepishly smiling. "Guess that cat's out of the bag isn't it? Silennia told me where to look."

Korina was mumbling incoherently, having heard her name from Keiran, and then hearing Raoul's voice. Everything was still hazy. He scooped her up, petting back her hair momentarily before nodding toward the door and going up them quite hastily. "It's no good for us to walk that far, we'll attract too much attention." They stood outside now; Adriel nowhere in sight. "Not on the main road at least." He also knew that they couldn't very well hail a cab with three limp bodies, and Keiran covered in blood. It took him just seconds to figure out a back route, ultimately being shorter than taking the road.

Coming close to Silennia's apartment, the smell of Adriel's blood was potent. He was near. Undoubtedly following Keiran's scent to where he'd been staying. That also required taking a longer route. As Raoul and Keiran were in front of the complex, Adriel was a mere few steps ahead.

Silennia felt relief wash over her; Abigor releasing his hold. Her phone rang, picking it up instantly. "Keiran?"

"Raoul. We have the girls. Be up in a sec." She hung up and opened the door -- choking out a gasp at what waited there.

Raoul was a surprisingly pleasant sight to see. Keiran seeming relieved that now he didn't have to bother with Korina. It would have been difficult to try moving three people across town while covered in blood and two of them unconscious. No matter how you thought of it, it was absolutely suspicious to unknowing eyes.

Silennia told me where to look.

That's what Raoul said. Keiran looking towards the other in confusion, "What? How did she know where to....?" He trailed off, shaking his head. He would find out on his own time. As it was, Adriel had gone on ahead, and already the incubus had a bad feeling about where the angel was heading.

Sure enough, they caught up with Adriel just outside the apartment complex that Silennia lived in, Keiran's gaze narrowing, "What are you doing?!" He hissed, picking up his pace to catch up to the red head, the male glancing towards him absently, "I need a place to stay and Mina needs a place to rest peacefully. Until she can... properly recover, she'll need to conserve what little energy she has left." Adriel seemed to know exactly where he was going, his steps slowing as finally, he came to stand just in front of Silennia's door after Raoul had already made his call.

"You can't go in there-" Keiran stopped mid-sentence, but now, the door was open, and there was nothing else to say. Amber hues glancing towards Adriel, rather unhappy with his presence there. Shifting his gaze to look at Silennia, her eyes wide with surprise as she took in the sight of the group. Keiran's clothes completely soaked in blood, his usually clean hair matted, a few cuts still visible, but not particularly noticeable. Stepping past her as he carried the two he carried inside, laying Ratri and Silennia down on the couch. Unsure what else to do with the pair. Neither one of them having shown any sign of regaining consciousness anytime soon.

Mina very much in the same condition. She was breathing, but just barely. Her breath so shallow that it was nearly frightening, her pulse much slower than usual. The red head being lain down next to the others by Adriel, who came to sit beside her, seeing to it that she was comfortable until finally, he stood once more. His gaze coming to rest upon Silennia in silence.

Silennia's first instinct was to scream at the blood and gore in front of her. All she saw was Mina, literally dripping blood. Then she nearly laughed at herself for thinking I can't have anyone seeing a blood trail going into my apartment next.

Yet another wave of relief flooded through her when saw Keiran, absorbing the sight of him bloody and beaten, yet still strong. Staying in complete silence as he lay Shiori and Ratri on the couch where they'd slept not but twelve hours ago. Her eyes then focused on Korina, having to slowly realize just what was in front of her as Raoul set her down on the couch as well. It was still folded out into a bed, so all three of them fit nicely. Her chest tightened, fear running through her blood coldly as finally, she took in Mina's form one more time. All four of them laying there. If it weren't for the blood and pale hue of their skin, it would have been easy to mistake them all as sleeping.

She was still standing next to the door, and so she slowly closed it before pressing her back up against its cold surface. Seconds ticked by in complete silence as she tried sponging up the scene in front of her, attempting to get over it. Finally, another instinct kicked in. In a sort of hurry, she checked all of their pulses. Mina and Ratri were the worst two, and she ordered them be moved on the outside of the couch as she slipped into the bathroom and pulled out one, two, three first aid kits. Perks of having a drug-addicted father. Something told her that Mina would not -- could not -- go to a hospital. There was no point questioning it, especially after what happened the previous night with her own hand. She knew then that she couldn't go.

The thing that concerned Silennia most was how much blood the girl had lost. It wasn't exactly something you could go and steal and hook up to whoever needed it, and she verbally expressed such in frustration; still not looking toward anyone, all of her attention on Mina. Sanitizing, sewing up flesh, injecting vitamins -- until finally, there was no more blood oozing from the redhead. Ratri was another story entirely. Holes in his skin suggested blood loss as well, and she shoved B12 and iron pills down his throat with two fingers. A pro.

Only after checking on both Shiori and Korina -- Korina being soothed back into a slumber-like state by Raoul stroking her hair -- did Silennia stop and stand. Her arms and entire front was covered in blood, rapidly drying and sticking to her skin. It would have done no good to ask questions before. Now, however, she spun on her heel sharply and faced the men in the room. A small splatter of blood on her cheek, accompanied by a slightly larger one across her neck. Sapphire eyes drilling into Keiran, then Raoul, and then--

She wasn't quite sure what happened next. Stumbling backwards, feeling trapped against a wall although Adriel was across the room. Her eyes swirling into dangerous color. "YOU," she snarled. "Who are you?"

The alabaster skin. The red hair. The cold, piercing eyes. The height, the strange sensation that crept along her skin, both soothing and sinister. Her eyes did not leave his. "Keiran." She knew he knew what was going on. He was the only person she trusted for answers at this point. Her breathing hitched, her nails digging into the wall. Feeling as if she were going to pass out at any moment, yet still her eyes could not seem to shift away from blood-colored ones.

So far, Silennia seemed to have... handled things relatively well. Most people in her situation would have been much more frazzled and upset, but Silennia somehow managed to keep it together, going about doctoring the four that had been recovered with a skill that seemed to come natural to her. Keiran wrote it off perhaps as past experience, glancing nervously towards Adriel.

Still unhappy with the male's presence here. Uncomfortable with the way those red eyes look towards Silennia. That red haired man standing back quietly as he watched over Silennia's work as she tended to Mina. The girl haven't even so much as twitched a muscle since entering the apartment.

When finally, Silennia finished up, turning towards them, that sinking sensation returned to Keiran's stomach as those lovely sapphire-hued eyes turned, first from him, to Raoul, and finally.... Adriel. Adriel, who she hadn't properly noticed when everyone had entered. The angel meeting Silennia's calmly despite her reaction to him, "Interesting..." He muttered under his breath, and went to take a step towards her when Keiran intervened, shaking his head firmly as he turned towards Silennia, "He's Mina's father." The truth, for once.

The resemblance between the two being unmistakable.

Though, Keiran didn't know of the visions she'd been having. Didn't know that inside that vial that Damien had left for Silennia had been the blood of a angel- no, not just a angel. Adriel. A mere sample of his blood that had somehow found it's way into Damien's hands at some point.

"His name is-" Before Keiran could finish, Adriel had approached, stepping around Keiran and leaning down just a bit so that he came to be eye-level with Silennia, "You look at me as if you've seen me before." It was a blunt observation, crimson hues locked onto Silennia's, "Yet, I would have remembered meeting one as beautiful as you." Bowing his head slightly, he touched his hand to his chest, "My name is Adriel." He answered, lifting his head once more, extending his hand towards her in a friendly gesture, a smirk dancing across his lips as his gaze met hers again, "You have nothing to fear from the likes of me."

At that moment, Keiran slipped pass Adriel again, putting himself in between him and Silennia, his lip curling back just slightly, "Back off." He growled lowly, his arm coming in front of Silennia protectively almost, not relaxing until Adriel took several steps back, retracting his extended hand, that smile still on his lips, "Very well, then."

Without another word, Adriel moved, settling down on a chair. Keiran lowering his guard slowly, uncertain what to expect from Silennia. She'd been behaving so erratically lately that it was impossible to tell...

And Adriel...

He was even more impossible to get a feel for, his actions absolutely reckless. The angel's reputation among those who knew of him being one that was tarnished with mistrust, his dabbling in the affairs of demons and humans alike, (or whatever caught his eye for that matter) having earned him quite a number of enemies.

The crimson angel was not to be trusted.

No matter how sweet the words that seeped off his poisoned tongue.

If Keiran had not continually interrupted the angel, there was a rather good chance that Silennia would have lost it right there within her own apartment. Again. Yet worse than last time. By the time Adriel was in front of her, her eyes had shifted into a shade of deep purple. No blue remained there, only hints of crimson; glittering back at him almost as a dare.

She refused to acknowledge why she acted in such a way. Now certainly wasn't the time. As soon as Keiran was there, in front of her, her body slackened. Eyes abruptly going back to blue, placing her forehead and palm of her hand against his back in silent thanks and appreciation. Further smudging blood onto her face, but it didn't seem to matter.

As Adriel set himself in her father's chair, her teeth ground together, but she still seemed to be in one piece. The stress of others did that to her. It always had. They mattered more; she could fall apart later. Now, more rational thoughts were beginning to appear. Why was everyone covered in blood? It looked as if they sustained wounds, yet the flesh was untouched. A more amusing thought slipped to her mind, one that she actually smiled at a little. Hospitality first, no matter the cost.

"I don't have enough clothes for all of you."

At that point, Raoul spoke up. He stayed back, near Korina -- very protectively. He was not ashamed to hide it. "I've got some things that I can bring ov--"

Silennia shook her head, holding up a finger to silence him. "First, I want an answer: Am I seriously keeping seven bloodied people in my tiny apartment? I don't have enough space. Unless you two sleep on the floor." She looked from Raoul to Adriel uncomfortably, but didn't dare look into crimson eyes. Not while she was doing so well, composure-wise. "I have enough blankets. Just not... anything else."

Raoul had to stop and think about this. "I'm staying with Korina. I can take her back to my place and come back with some things."

She seemed to like that idea, and Korina was mumbling again anyway. It was better for Raoul to stay with her and protect her tonight. However, that still left Adriel, Mina, Ratri, and -- the drummer's name slipped her mind. The way she spoke, it was an automatic assumption that Keiran would be staying with her. She had to do up her father's bed with new sheets since it'd been a few days without an occupant, but that was it. Almost as a sneer toward Adriel.

Raoul easily slipped Korina out from between the others, and held her bridal style. "I need to know what I'm getting," he urged quietly.

Silennia nodded, placing her fingertips against her temple. "Yeah, um, first aid kids. However many you can find. Don't bother shopping, it'll take too long. And..." she looked at Keiran, then at Adriel, whom she glared at and practically curled her lip toward. "Whatever they need, that you're able to get." That seemed to be the end of the discussion, period, and without any other words, she stepped into her bathroom and locked the door. Easily stripping down from her own bloodied clothes, and carefully wrapping them into a tight ball so that they wouldn't stain anything.

She wasn't sure how long she was in the shower, but it was long enough so that Raoul had left and returned already with the supplies that were requested. She tied a robe tightly at her waist, taking several first aid kits from him as he explained that he had Korina change and gave her a sleeping pill. She nodded and tiredly stepped into her father's bedroom, changing the sheets and putting on night clothes, though keeping the robe on with so many strangers in the house. Waiting for everyone to figure out what they were doing before she allowed herself to sleep.

"It's sudden, I know." Keiran's gaze shifted away from Adriel and towards Silennia now that she questioned him, "Going into a hospital covered head to toe in blood with four injured and possibly drugged people, however, is not something that would be easily overlooked." He had a rather valid point. Not disclosing any further information about what had happened that night.

After Raoul had departed, and Silennia had stepped into the bathroom- locking the door behind her, it left Keiran and Adriel alone in the room together.

"What a interesting little pet you've found yourself."

A low rumbling sounding deep down in Keiran's chest, his gaze cutting hard into the angel's, "Stay away from her."

"Or what? Do you even know what you've found?" Adriel's eyes shimmered with sudden life, his hand resting against his chin, his fingers half-hiding the ever-growing smirk upon his lips as he leaned against his elbow. Of course the incubus had no idea, and Adriel relished the frustration that filled the silvernette's eyes, the corner of Keiran's lip twitching in irritation, not wanting to admit to Adriel that the angel was correct.

She was certainly not human. Yet, Keiran should have been able to sense a fellow demon. He couldn't define her, and yet, continued to stay at her side in ignorance.

Adriel rose to his feet, "Do you not find it a bit... strange..." He mused. "...That such a female has bewitched you so?"

The words made Keiran tense as Adriel slinked off behind him into the kitchen, "What is that supposed to mean?" He turned, his tone heightening slightly, "Incubi don't become 'bewitched'." He sneered back, pointing his finger at Adriel, "You're just trying to get under my skin. Stop it."

"Do you always make sure appalling accusations when someone points the truth out to you?" Adriel casually examing some of the objects there, curiously poking at the microwave and jumping slightly when it cut on, pushing buttons rapidly until it cut off once more, "Intriguing."

"What-? Hey, stop that!" Keiran glared towards the other, Adriel having picked the microwave up, shaking it, "But, what is it?"

"A microwave, you moron- where have you been? Under a rock?" Keiran walked over, taking the device away and setting it back down on the counter, "You can cook or warm food in it."

"It's a magical box that cooks food....?"

Keiran sighed, rubbing at his temple, "NO. It uses electricity."

"Fascinating."

Watching the red head explore, Keiran felt suddenly like he was watching a over-grown child rather than a fallen angel. To think that this was the infamous red angel...

Luckily, nothing being broken by time Silennia had finished showering. Keiran taking one next... and finally, Adriel, who, only emerged a good hour later, squeaky clean. Raoul having shown up and gone by time this was done.

All that was left to do now was sleep.

Adriel taking a spot not far from Mina while Keiran made his way to Silennia's side. Relief flooding through his body as finally he was allowed to relax. Falling asleep in a matter of minutes when before, he'd always lied awake for a while before drifting off.

Silennia waited for everyone to become situated before making her way into the room and closing the door behind her with a loud sigh. Finally comfortable enough to take off her robe with just Keiran in the room with her. She crawled into the bed and under the blankets, feeling rather tired. Especially considering that she'd slept most of the day. Either she had enough energy to blow things up, or felt too drained to move. As much as she wanted answers to what was going on, she simply didn't have enough will to get them. Not tonight.

She felt that the longer she slept next to Keiran, the better she felt. The past few days were odd, and painful, but different. After a few hours, she got up to check on her guests; changing Mina's bandage, re-applying an antiseptic and having her sip a bit of water. She managed to get water into the other two as well, but they weren't her main concern. They didn't look as if they might die within the next few hours.

The raven-haired girl washed up to her elbows afterwards, and with one narrowed glance toward Adriel, slipped back into the bedroom to lay halfway on Keiran; arm draped over his chest with her head against his shoulder, pulling the blanket up to her chin. Only seconds passed before she slid into unconsciousness again.

More crimson-feathered dreams captured her tonight, although she struggled to keep them away. Eventually her subconcious realized that they were too strong to fight, and gave up altogether. Except now the wings weren't just red, they were actually bleeding. Falling out and shriveling on the floor as an alabaster color began to surround her from all sides, slowly suffocating her.

She wasn't used to waking up in the morning, so once again she slept until nearly noon. It was still technically morning as sapphire hues were revelead behind parting eyelids, finding herself tucked tightly against Keiran in the dim light that filtered through curtains.

----------------------

Abigor returned to his home. The place didn't exactly have a location or name. It was simply... there. Only he could access it, and others with authority. Most called it Hell, but that was was too general of a statement. It was like asking a human where they lived, and they said "Earth" instead of the city, state, or region. Hell was it's own area, but it wasn't on earth. It wasn't... anywhere. Yet it was everywhere. Another dimension, a portal, a different time. Even the highest-ranking of demons couldn't describe it fully.

They did use the term Hell however to describe where souls went to be tortured. Never-ending pain and agony for the crimes they've committed, until a higher authority deemed fit that they were able to leave; and only then, it was to walk earth in the shadows, not seen or heard. It drove some mad, being ghosts, and so they turned into something completely different. No communication with other ghosts, no communication with anything or anyone. It was worse than hell. In desperation to get back, they would often turn into a demon themselves, albeit the lowest ranking ones. The only way to go up in ranks, is if you were born a demon.

The black-haired man lay back in his bed, both hands tucked under the back of his head as he stared up at the ceiling. Remembering the battle that started it, the scar he accidentally provided as he grabbed a woman by the wrist. Her bright blue eyes and long blonde hair. The way she looked at him in complete disgust. But he had her, now, and by her own laws, she was not allowed to escape until fulfilling precisely three things that he wanted.

In fact, what he wanted was so simple, that her release seemed only too easy. It was rarely done before, but he managed it. And after so many years, the waiting game was over. The truth of it was, time passed faster here than it did on earth, in the mortal world. He's waited centuries for this; millenia. It would be even longer until he got what he truly wanted - the master scheme behind it all, but it was worth waiting.

Though he'd taken a spot to rest, Adriel didn't sleep. When he slept, he dreamed... and when he dreamed, he remembered the things that he didn't wish to recall.

So, later on that night, when Silennia came in to check on Mina, crimson hues opened as she walked by. Though, she didn't take notice until perhaps when she departed to her room once more, turning a hard gaze towards him. A simple, amused smirked tugging at the corner of his lips, but just barely, closing his eyes when the door was shut once more.

Drifting off into a light slumber reluctantly.

-----------------------

As morning came, Keiran didn't budge, having rolled over onto his belly at some point in the night, his cheek pressed against the pillow and his hair sticking up wildly, one of his arms wrapped snuggly around Silennia's waist. Almost possessively. As if subconsciously, he feared that Adriel would try to sneak in the room during the night and steal Silennia away, the angel's words having bothered the incubus more than he himself even realized.

Keiran not even awake yet when Silennia began to stir.

Rolling over abruptly so that half of his body laid on top of Silennia's, rather clingy in his sleep, both his arms wrapping around her this time. Though, eventually, feeling something wiggling about, amber hues slowly opened.

It was relaxing to be able to lay like this. Finding herself gently running her fingertips through Keiran's hair with her eyes closed, listening to the low buzz of noise outside from traffic and tourists. Sirens came and went, horns were blared, music pumped through the walls, and people shouted to one another in foreign languages. It had been a long time since she really stopped and listened, finding it strangely comforting.

Tempted as she was to fall back asleep, she knew that she needed to check up on Mina once more. Deciding that today, she would sit down and get the answers that she needed as to what had been happening lately. That threw her thoughts into what had been happening to herself, but she had a feeling that nobody really knew what, exactly, that was. Then a strange man appearing out of nowhere. One with dark eyes and long, black hair. The same cheekbones and nose as her. The same look of irritation that touched his jaw.

Then she realized just why he looked so familiar: it was like looking into the mirror. She saw herself there, reflected back in him. It made her uncomfortable, but was there any point in becoming upset over it? She also knew, with much certainty, that he would show himself again. Perhaps then, at least, she would get some of the answers she so desperately wanted.

Noticing Keiran beginning to stir, her fingers retracted from his hair, and now moved comfortingly against his back; lightly, like feathers. "Good morning," she murmured. Stretching her arms up above her, legs out in the blanket; curling her toes with a sigh as she became at ease once more. "I need to check on your sister." She slid out from under him, and yawned as she made her way back to the couch, trying to walk quietly as it seemed that everyone was asleep. Once more she changed the bandage, and already the wound was healing up fantastically. Something else that she felt a normal person would question, but she simply didn't. There were too many things for her to think about.

She went into the kitchen to make coffee, realizing that she didn't have any grounds. That's what the machine next to it was for. With a look toward Adriel, and finally a shrug, she poured the hard beans in; pressing a button so that a loud, obnoxious whirring noise filled the entire apartment. It only lasted about thirty seconds, but it was the equivalent of a blender; continuing to set up the machine so that it would make coffee before going back into the room and climbing on the bed to sit on Keiran's chest playfully. "How're you feeling?"

It would have been nice to lay around the rest of the day with Silennia, but, as Mina was mentioned, the silvernette sighed slightly, loosening his arms from around her, "Alright." He yawned, shifting a little so that he was no longer laying on her. The bed still warm where she laid even after she'd departed from the room. Her scent clouding his senses. It was hard to believe that last night he'd been over his head with vampires.

Come to think of it... He'd practically wiped out the entire coven by himself.

No wonder he still felt sore.

--------------------------

Still asleep, Adriel didn't stir this time when Silennia walked by, his hand dangling off the side just slightly, his fingers twitching in response to her passing, but that was it. Until, of course, that horrid sound filled the room.

Crimson hues snapped open almost instantly, his breath catching in his chest. Startled as he dove off of what he'd fallen asleep on and rolled across the floor, ending up in a ready-to-pounce position as he looked wide-eyed at the source of the sound. Only relaxing when the sound stopped, even though it was with hesitance. Deciding quickly that he didn't like the grinder in the least. His heart still pounding in his chest as he slowly settled back down. Watching Silennia as she walked by and back into the bedroom. His gaze narrowing slightly at her back.

Little bitch.

---------------

Still not having climbed out of bed just yet, Keiran was more than welcoming of Silennia when she returned, smiling up at her and lifting a brow as she came to be perched on his chest, "Sore." He commented, "But you make it all better." He mused, his hands sliding up either one of her legs just slightly.

Just as that familiar stab of hunger struck deep within him. Amber hues darkening just slightly.

Silennia leaned down with a smile, closing the gap between them and kissing him. An appreciative noise sliding up quietly from her throat as his hands moved upwards. She wanted to stay here and sleep on and off throughout the day. Both of them were sore, but for completely different reasons. It seemed like a good day to do it, aside from the strange man-child in her livingroom. Had it not been for Mina, Silennia wouldn't have bothered waking at all until she just couldn't sleep anymore.

Slowly, she rolled off of him, checking her phone in the process. Three missed calls; one from Damien, one from Raoul, and another from Jerry. They brought her back into reality, into the fact that she had a friend hurt, a boss out of town, and a co-worker that was working harder than he should have to. At this point she almost carelessly wanted to be fired... yet knew she wouldn't be.

Jerry had texted her as well, only asking if she was coming in so he could report it back to Damien. It took but a second for her to reply no, she wasn't, and upon listening to the other two voicemails, she relaxed further.

Raoul reported how Korina was doing. He said that she was weak and tired, but was holding down food and staying conscious for hours at a time. She had actually asked for Silennia several times in her hazy consciousness, but he had to explain to her that she wasn't there. A quick text from Silennia explained that he needed to give her a hefty dose of B12 and iron every six hours until Korina felt up to par, and also to keep her as hydrated as he could.

Then there was Damien, explaining how he was going to be back the next day. "Damien's coming back tomorrow," she murmured, not knowing that Keiran could probably hear the voicemail himself. He told her to rest up and he would visit her shortly after returning. It occurred to her, as she placed the phone next to the bed, that Damien and Mina didn't quite... get along. Mina was on her couch. Was a day really enough time to clean up?

After a few seconds of debating with herself, she decided that she'd call later on and ask to meet somewhere for coffee or lunch instead. It would take her days to clean up the blood in the place, and even longer to get rid of the scent and stains that came with it.

Silennia looked up slightly at Keiran, curling up closer to him. "What happened last night?" Spoken softly, with hesitation. It was the question that she was dreading to ask; surely the one they were dreading to answer. She didn't want to hear it from Adriel or anyone else. Keiran was the only person in the apartment that held her trust, and it would take a while for that to change. Preparing herself in case the answer wasn't something she necessarily wanted to hear.

Meeting her lips, Keiran kissed her quite thoroughly, one of his hands slipping upwards and digging into her hair a bit, until finally, he drew back, Silennia rolling off of his chest and moving off... to check her phone. Biting hard into the side of his cheek as she did so. Hard enough to nearly draw blood.

Wanting to pounce on her with every fiber of his being. That kiss leaving him only wanting more. Taking a slow, deep breath to calm himself, but her scent almost seemed to tauntingly flood his sensed, focusing on anything else besides her. Tuning into the voice-mails that Silennia was listening to. So Damien was to arrive home once more.

It almost seemed humorous now. Had events not unfolded the way they had, Mina and the others quite possibly would have been long gone by now, Adriel still lurking in whatever hold he'd been hiding in all these years... instead, they were all piled up around Silennia's house as if it was their personal rest-stop. Mina still showing no signs of waking yet as far as he could tell.

Snapping away from his thoughts when Silennia curled up beside him, barely hearing her question as once more she sent his thoughts into a uproar, his gaze meeting hers. She was asking him about last night. There was no logical way to explain it, and finally, frowning slightly, he shifted his gaze away, trying to find the right words for how to explain, "I'm sure you've seen the strange marks on Ratri and Shiori..." Indeed, Silennia must have. Ratri's body was covered in them, while Shiori's neck bore a couple as well. Korina too surely sported a few marks of her own from where she'd been fed upon during the time of her absence.

"I know this sounds crazy, but bear with me." He met her gaze, assuring himself that she was still listening, "We... found vampires last night. A whole nest of them."

For once, the truth left Keiran's mouth, and he stopped talking to let Silennia take in what he had just said.

Silennia sat up. "What?" With a laugh, she crawled back on top of him; humor there in her eyes. Until she realized that he was completely serious. Her head tilted back a little, looking at the wall in front of her as she tried to picture it. Vampires. "Vampires," she repeated back to him.

That startled her most, she found out, was that she wasn't startled at the news. Her body reacting as if such knowledge were common sense. Her mind not reeling to the discovery of their existence. It took her a few moments to figure out what part of her was telling her these things, and another to realize it was pure instinct. She just knew.

"Keiran..." She trailed off hesitated, looking quite unsure of herself. A few more moments of silence passed, and as she relaxed, she realized how tense her muscles became. As if flinching away from the thought of the creatures. They didn't pose any direct threat to her, so why was her body reacting in such a strange way? Then again, her body was practically out of her control completely lately. There was no reason for it to act the way it did the past several days, and she couldn't see her facial reaction during those short moments.

Punching a wall, with her hand beginning to heal before she took the liquid, was one of the things that she wanted to know about. And yet as she tried forcing the questions to her lips, something more powerful than herself pushed it down. Controlling. Self-preservation at its finest.

Frustration got the best of her, leaning down once again and consuming Keiran's lips against her own. Roughly. Hungry. Eager.

No control of my body. The thought was so far back within her head that it was forgotten in seconds.

Keiran had expected unease. Even skeptism. Any normal human would had argued with their last breath that such things were merely figments of the imagination- that such things were bred on in the darkness of the more creative minds among humanity... but... Silennia seemed to slowly absorb the information once the realization sank in that Keiran was indeed telling the absolute truth.

That he wasn't joking with her.

Silence falling between the two for a moment until-

Abruptly, her lips covered his once more. Catching him off guard, but it was welcomed. What had brought this on? The thought was fleeting in the back of his mind, but instinct was rapidly pushing to the front from where Keiran had been forcing it back, his lips responding to hers with a hunger of their own, his hands slipping up under the edge of the tank top she wore, his body arching upwards from beneath her.

Wanting her so badly that after a moment, he flipped her off of him, coming down on top of her as his lips trailed down from her lips to the tender skin of her neck, tracing all the way down to her collar bone as his hands explored her as much as she would allow him. She'd triggered him with that unexpected kiss, the door across the room pushing shut, seemingly of it's own accord, having been just cracked a bit.

A pleasant sigh escaped from Silennia's throat at his touches. Appreciative at the dim glow eminating from the curtains, so she could see him above her. A ripple shuddered through her body when his lips slid from hers, and down to her throat. Her own hands curled around his shoulders as the kisses trailed downwards to her collarbone, relishing in his touch as if he were her own personal drug.

Her mind was hazy, but her body pushed her further; wrapping one of her legs over Keiran and tightening them as he hit an unknown tender spot during his roaming. Her back arching slightly at sensitive spots, digging her nails against his shoulders and into his back.

No control.

It was exhilarating. She was unlike anything he'd ever encountered before, and even though he'd sensed it the moment he'd laid eyes on her, now that he had her right where he wanted her, it seemed too good to be true. Keiran's hands skillfully running along her skin and curves, learning it's texture. Bold as his lips slipped even farther down her chest, kissing the clevage visible at the neckline of her shirt.

One of his hands having found it's way down the length of her body and teasing the edge of her pajama bottoms that she still wore, about to tug the material down to expose the panties she wore beneath when a rather loud crash sounded somewhere in the kitchen... shortly followed by a knock against the door. The incubus not even bothering to look back over his shoulder to acknowledge it, but then it sounded a second time, louder, "Not now-!"

"I might have accidentally broken something...?" Adriel's voice sounded through the door, and Keiran could swear he could hear the joy of being a annoyance ring in the angel's voice, "Not that I'm interrupting anything you shouldn't be doing, right?"

The door knob wiggled, "Oh? It's locked?"

"GO AWAY."
Keiran's voice came in a near growl, leaning his head up for another kiss from Silennia.
