There had been strange goings on recently, girls vanishing into thin air seemingly at random. At first they were thought to be runaways, but the girls had seemingly little to no reason to do so. Then it was thought that perhaps there was a wave of kidnappings, but there were no ransom demands and many of the girls were from families who simply had nothing worth ransoming a person for. The police were baffled, every new case only adding to the confusion. For most people though, it was a far off occurrence, something that only happened to other people and, for the most part at least, everyone else just got on with their normal everyday lives.

That had been the life of Natalie Sanra until recently, just a typical girl, making her way through High School and trying to keep her head beneath being overly noticeable. She'd heard about the disappearances on the news, a few girls from her school had even vanished, but it didn't affect her directly so she paid little real attention to it all. But that had all changed one night....
In the dead of night, whilst she had been sleeping, she had the strangest dream.....a dream of a hellish world filled with monsters that defied description, of the girls missing being used by these monsters as toys, pets, breeding cows....and then a strange voice....a voice telling her that she had the power to stop this, that only she could stop this and restore the balance of the world and save humanity.
When she woke with a start, Natalie had found herself enveloped in a blinding light, then when it faded she had found herself in a rather....unusual, and more importantly revealing, outfit. Even her hair had changed, from short and brown to long and blonde! It was almost like she was a different person, almost like a secret identity.
There was new knowledge in her brain....nothing clear....it was more like an instinct....an instinct that this power....it was somehow....magical...that only she could draw upon it. She also had an odd feeling in the back of her mind....like there was somewhere she needed to go, somewhere she had to be.

Silently, Natalie had opened the window of her bedroom, then without even thinking about it found herself leaping from the second floor, gasping, almost screaming, until she landed perfectly on the ground below. "Whoa...." She glanced down at her body for a moment, then looked up and leapt into the air, managing to get to the rooftop of the house beside her, then beginning to leap from rooftop to rooftop, effortlessly gliding through the air towards where her instinct was telling her to go.
It didn't take long for her to arrive, Natalie dropping down at the entrance of a small park, slowly making her way inside and looking around. The feeling was stronger here.....something was coming....she didn't know what, but she could feel that something was about to happen....

Another things that was quite strange, was the fact that there were only girls vanishing and not boys. There were friends of the missing people that tried to look for the girls but there was zero success. During the searches that people started, there were some girls vanishing as well, only when they were alone or in a group of females only. The vanished ones were also not old, most of them going to high school. Traces had been found, somehow sticky lines on the ground or parts of the clothes with a weird substance on it. When scientists tried to search what the substance was, they found nothing so the police didn't knew where to look.

From the bushes, something was lurking as Natalie entered the small park. It was really a small park, surrounded by a wall. Close to the walls there were bushes and trees. Right in front of her and at her sides, the danger was lurking. As she came closer, the creatures made sure that there was no way out of the park, blocking the two only exits of the park. In the bushes right in her line of sight, red eyes became brighter as those revealed themselves. The eyes stared at the girl, becoming bigger as the creature neared until it was in the light of a lantern in the park. A slimy figure showed itself, giving her a clear view on the tentacles that were part of his body. The body of the creature was a dark brown. It was quite a small creatures in comparison with the length of his tentacles, which were twice the size of himself. As it came closer, it stood behind a bench, his red eyes being a bit higher as the bench.

Another creature that had moved from one of the side bushes that had blocked the entrance, started to near on her as well. It was a creature that was crawling on the ground but when it stepped in the light, being at the same distance as the slime, it showed that it had a lot of mouths. Sharp fangs filled those mouths and it was a horrible creature. It pushed itself up for a few inches and then it stayed in mid-air, hovering. As it was hanging there in mid-air, tentacles started to form.

The third creature ran towards her quite fast, but right before it went into the light it suddenly stopped. Those three monsters were forming a perfect triangle around Natalie, meaning that if she wanted to get away, two of them would get to her right away. The forms of the third creature were visible as a small amount of light managed to shine on it. It was the largest of those that were surrounding her. As they were this close, a red light started to emit from the bodies. It was there from the start but it was dark, not in use but now they were. The black creature looked at the others as if they were connected to each other.

As Natalie walked further into the park she got a stronger and stronger feeling of foreboding....something was wrong here...very wrong. She felt like she was being watched, and not just in any kind of paranoid way, or some weird gut feeling that a regular person might get. No....she knew that she was being watched....she didn't know how or why she knew....she just did, as if she had an additional sense of perception beyond mere sight, sound, smell and touch.

She stopped suddenly when she saw those red eyes....hiding in the bushes, glowing....getting brighter. Whatever those eyes belonged to certainly wasn't human...and they weren't the eyes of any animal that Natalie was familiar with. Then slowly it emerged from the bushes, coming into the light....the girl gasping and taking a step back. "Wh-what the hell....?" She swallowed nervously, staring at the creature, trying desperately to figure out just what it was....but there was nothing like it....absolutely nothing like it came to mind...it certainly wasn't just some animal that was for sure. It was like some kind of monster from a horror movie.
When Natalie turned to try and move away, make her way back towards the exit of the park, she found herself cut off, the path now blocked by another creature that was crawling along the ground. The sight of this one made Natalie scream in horror and disgust. What kind of abomination was that?
Turning for the final direction of escape, Natalie yelped when she saw something big and black coming right at her, before it stopped rather suddenly as soon as it was visible....larger and stronger looking than the others....certainly the most humanoid of them all....if that word could even apply.

"Wh-what the hell is going on here...?" Natalie looked between the three creatures....no way to watch them all at once...in order to watch one she had to turn her back on the others. If she moved, they moved, keeping her trapped between them. These clearly weren't just some kind of mindless beasts....they had at least some basic intelligence to trap her like this and keep her trapped. "C-come on.....what am I supposed to do...?" She knew she was supposed to do....something....but what? Whatever had happened to her body had certainly left some blanks to fill in!
As she raised her hands defensively, a shimmering blue light formed infront of her, calling to her. As she reached out, Natalie grasped the light as if it were a sphere of liquid, which then suddenly formed itself into an intricately decorated staff, one resonating with magical power. "Ok.....ok so I use this....use it to fight....alright then...."
Natalie looked around one more time, then looked to the first, smallest creature....before suddenly screaming and charging right at it. Clearly the girl was no fighter, she had no idea what she was doing....all she could think of was to try and get close, hit the thing with this staff and hope to god something happened....
