Fragile, Folded Wings(Jugger82 & EvaRose)

Her eyes were on the knight as he came back into the room, and when she saw him kneel down the princess was saddened. She was sad because he wasn't mad at her for ruining his life the way she did. He was so concerned for her too, and she felt horrible. The fact that he wasn't mad at her made her feel worse now than it did before. Tears started to make their way down her cheeks before she bent down so she was at eye level with the man, and wrapped her arms around him in a hug. "Why can't you be mad at me for doing that? If I didn't then you would still be a Royal Knight. I'm sorry," she said softly. "I'm so sorry, first I teased you and now you were demoted because I didn't listen to you. Y-you saved my life."

"Its just a job's rank, Princess Jyade..." He said lightly as he was questioning whether he should hug her back or not. Royalty rarely ever touched their servants and knights like this so he didn't know how to react to this. "Your safety was my job. And I followed it dutifully. Even if it resulted in me being demoted, I don't care. I kept you safe...And that is all that matters to me." He sighed lightly. "Do not cry for me, your highness. Your tears shouldn't have to shed for my sake. I know it is not in my place to order you, but stop it. You hurt my pride for feeling guilty over this."

"But I can't help it," she said softly. "You were almost killed because of me. You're stupid for not hating be, a stupid, stupid...man." She detached herself from him quickly, her cheeks flushed red as she moved away, remembering then that there was nothing on her body but a nightgown. Jyade looked at him then leaned forward and kissed his cheek out of sheer happiness, joy over the fact that he saved her life. The princess got up and turned, going to the bathroom so she could get washed up and stop thinking about what happened. She wanted to relax a little bit.

He said nothing as he listened to her, and suddenly felt her kiss his cheek. He blushed lightly and looked away from her as she stood up and went to the bathroom. Nathan sighed and held his chest, feeling his heart begin to beat faster. 'Damn girl...Don't do this dammit. You're a princess.' He thought in his head, and stood up finally and removed the chain shirt that he wore and kept his peasantry shirt on. Tossing it aside, he sat down in a nearby chair and waited for Jyade to get out of the shower. 'I hope she won't beat herself up about this...'

The princess got undressed, hanging her nightgown on the door before turning to the bathtub and getting in. Sher tail was soon soaked with water and she was relaxing in the warm water and leaning against the wall of it. Her mind went to the knight that was in her room though, her cheeks flushing red when she thought about the kiss to the cheek she gave him. And her heart was pounding in her chest though she wasn't sure why. Her tail was slowly moving in the water as she looked to the door. "Sir knight, please come to the doorway. I'm under the water so you won't see anything. It's not like you haven't seen me before anyway. Still, come sit, I want to talk."

He was drifting off to sleep before he suddenly hear Jyade call for him. He yawned lightly and stood up, stretched a bit, and walked over to the doorway and sat down right there on the floor, looking toward her. "Yes, Princess Jyade? You said...You wanted to talk to me?" He was curious as to what she wanted to talk about. A bit of lewd thoughts had entered his mind once more as he thought about what she looked like in the tub. Then his thoughts drifted off to what she had done to him the other day, and he blushed lightly as he suddenly found he was unable to look at Jyade in the eyes.

"Yes, please, tell me, do you have family?" She asked. "I just want to know." Jyade sat up, forgetting her promise to stay under the water and looked at the knight as her tail moved from beneath the warm water. Drips of water fell from her fur and into the water as she looked at him, glad that there was somebody she could talk to. It took a few seconds for her to turn her back to him so he could no longer see her bare breasts. Her mind was on what it was she had down earlier, thinking about how he grew erect earlier when she touched him through his clothes with her foot. "I'm a bit curious I guess. You must have family somewhere. Maybe...a lover." The girl reached up almost shyly and began to play with her hair as she waited for him to talk.

"My family...?" He was curious as to why she was asking such questions, but found there was no harm in actually answering them for her. Though her follow up would confuse him lightly. "A lover...? No. I don't have a lover, Princess Jyade. I only have a mother and younger sister in the kingdom's peasant town." He smiled and tried to ignore the fact that he had seen her bare breasts for a good few moments before she turned her back to him. "I used to have a dog of mine...but it had passed on about a year ago. Faithful companion, he was. But he's in a better place now."

Her tail moved more in the water when she heard him say that he was without a lover, finding that she was happy to hear such a thing. She turned slightly to look back at the man once again. "Do you usually go to see your family?" Jyade turned back once again and picked up a rag and soap, starting to wash herself off, not caring if he was there and possibly watching. Actually, she was kind of hoping that he was. He wanted her to watch as she stood up and started to wash herself with the wash cloth, washing her legs and arms and even her breasts. She did it all in front of him unabashedly, hoping that he was watching and that he wanted her at that moment. It was like something strange came over her after the knight rescued her, and she wasn't sure what to do about it.

"I take trips to see them, yes. I always come to visit whenever I have the spare time to do so." He replied to her as she stood up and began to wash herself with the rag as well. He watched her with a small blush, trying to hide his gaze of her from his eyes as he looked to her and then to the side only to look back at her. He was slowly erecting in his pants once more, unaware of this as it bulged in his pants somewhat. He was turned on and indeed wanted to take her then and there.

"I'll make sure you have time to," she said softly. She finished by washing her neck off before getting back under the water and letting it wash the soap off her naked body. When she stood again her tail was gone and she was turned to the knight. "S-sir knight?" Jyade's eyes had fallen on his bulging erection and her cheeks were red as she continued to look. "N-Nathan, you...seem to have grown something in your pants." She looked away from him, covering her breasts with crossed arms though that didn't help. Her body was still bare, and she made no move to get a towel or grow a tail to cover herself again.

Nathan reacted quickly by covering his erection that was growing in his pants. He blushed madly and turned away from her, not fully turning his back toward her for that would show severe disrespect toward her in his eyes. "I...I apologize, Princess Jyade...I could not help myself..." He tried his best not to turn and look back at the girl...but the image of her standing there in her furry form was burned into his head and he couldn't help but stay erect. "If you would like me to leave, Princess Jyade...I can."

"No, don't." She stepped out of the bathtub for the second time that day. The young woman still didn't move to get a towel and, instead, walked to the knight. Her hips moved natural as she walked to him, stopping only when she was in front of him. She did something then that she knew was wrong. She kissed him. It wasn't on the cheek or forehead though, it was on the lips. And they were parted as fast as they came together, her moving back from him because she knew he'd get in trouble if someone came in. She couldn't stomach the thought of this man being executed because of her. "Please, go out the bathroom and close the door. Please." She didn't look at him, cheeks red and her body shaking a bit from fear and excitement at the same time.

Feeling her lips upon his made the young knight's eyes widen, but he didn't fight the kiss. He kissed her back as she kissed him, and he felt a feeling of longing when she pulled away from him and asked him to leave the bathroom. He nodded. "Yes, Princess Jyade." He stood up, and closed the bathroom door behind him after he left. He wiped some sweat that formed on his brow and tried to wipe away the red of his cheeks. A princess had kissed him. And he enjoyed it immensely. He felt like his life would revolve around her. He had originally hated her, and wanted nothing to do with her...but slowly within the two days that they had known each other he had begun to accept her. And now...This. 'Whats going to happen...?' He wondered.

She couldn't move after he closed the door, looking at it for some time as her heart pounded in her chest. Her hand went up to her lips, fingers touching it softly as she thought about what it was that just happened. Was it bad that she wanted more? She had felt him before, kissing her back when she kissed him. And she loved that. Tempted was she to open the door and kiss him once again, to run her fingers through his blue hair and show him why she wanted him not to talk to another woman. She wanted him to kiss her again, she wanted to feel his lips on her own. The princess picked up the towel and started to dry herself off with it, doing it slowly so that she had more time to calm her nerves. Before walking out of the room, Jyade picked up the nightgown and slipped it only. She walked into the bedroom and to the bed, falling onto it with a sigh of content. "I'm going to take a nap," she said softly.

Nathan's train of thought had been disturbed when he suddenly heard Jyade opening the bathroom door. He turned and looked at her as she walked out, now wearing the nightgown she had previously wore, and then she lay on the bed. Hearing her say she would take a nap, Nathan nodded. "Yes, Princess Jyade." He moved over and sat against the door leading out. If someone were to try and come in, he would be the first to know. He leaned back against the door and relaxed some, hoping to fall asleep himself as today had been...quite eventful.

And she did sleep. She slept longer than she wanted to, and for once she did it peacefully instead of changing forms. The sun went down and then the moon was up by the time the princess opened her eyes it was almost time for dinner to be served. Jyade laid there on the bed for some time, looking at the man who she kissed only a few hours ago. There was no way she could go into the hall to fetch her handmaiden to help her, but could she ask him to help her get dressed? Slipping out of the bed with these thoughts still in mind, she looked at the knight before taking her nightgown off. She made sure to retrieve her corset and put it on before disturbing him. "Sir knight?"

When Nathan finally awoke, it would be to the sound of Jyade calling for him. He stood up and yawned a bit before walking over to the girl, seeing her only in a corset. "Yes, your highness...? Princess Jyade...?" He questioned. He wondered when she had awakened from her sleep. "Do you need help with something?" He saw that she was half naked, and wondered if she needed help with getting dressed into her clothes. "Princess Jyade...Do you require help with getting your clothes on?"

"Yes, I do need help." She turned again so that her back was to him, moving her black hair so it was over her shoulder and he could tie the corset without having any problems. "I just need some assistance with tying my corset, really." The princess couldn't look at him then, her cheeks turned red when she remembered the way he got around her earlier that day. She knew that a knight wasn't supposed to look at a royal in such a way but she could care less at the moment. "So, if you could..." Her gaze was directed to her feet, her heart pounding in her chest just because of how close he was to her. Her feelings for this man confused her, and she had no idea what to do about her beating heart.

Nathan walked over and began to tie her corset like he had done before. Once it was good and tight on her, though not too tight, he stepped back and knelt down once more in respect. "Princess Jyade, I hope it is put on just right." His heart was beating as well. He had feelings for her now. Feelings he knew were wrong. Feelings he wanted to show to her...But he knew she would never go for him. He was merely a knight and she was royal. She just teased him because she could without worry that he'd do anything, not because she liked him. At least thats what he thought.

"You did," she said softly, "thank you." Even then, the princess longed for him to touch her, to maybe kiss her the way she did him earlier. Of all the people she had to have such feelings for, why did it have to be a knight? Sure, he was kind, and wonderful, and saved her life before, but it was still wrong nonetheless. She looked at him at him then got a purple dress, quickly putting it on so that they could leave and go to the dinner together. Er, so she could join the prince and other royals anyway. "Did you eat today?" Jyade asked Nathan as she turned to look at him yet again, letting her concern for the prince show.

He shook his head. "I am denied of my food rations for the day as an addition to my demotion." He replied, not really sounding afflicted at all over the loss of food that could have been in his stomach. He followed her to the dining hall, or rather he escorted her as he stayed behind, hand on his sword to be always ready for something if anything were to happen to cause her harm. "Why do you ask, Princess Jyade?" He wasn't accustomed to royals actually caring for him. It was usually the other way around where he had to care for the royals despite his own needs.

Her mouth opened as if she were about to answer him, only to close when she realized there was nothing on her mind than the truth. She wanted to open her mouth and tell him why she was concerned about him, but the words didn't escape her before they stepped into the dining hall. Forgetting about his question for a moment, the princess sat down in a seat, feeling rather famished since she hadn't any lunch. Another pair of doors leading into the hall opened and the royal family of light stepped in with a rather pale looking, yellow eyed man behind them. The white ears and tails he had showed who he was though. The man strode over to where Jyade sat and kissed her forehead softly. "I heard that you caused a bit of trouble today, dear sister. It's only your second day here and you were almost the death of a knight."

"I didn't mean to be," she said softly. She wasn't about to argue with her older brother and instead began to pick at her food as her ears turned red from embarrassment. Jyade didn't think they would call her brother to fix their garden, but it seemed as though they had.

He sat down beside her of course and turned to look at the blue haired knight. "You, knight, step forward so I may get a good look at you."

Seeing the white fox walk in, he was curious as to who this man was, and gripped his sword tightly in case he needed to act quickly and defend Jyade. Then, hearing him call her 'sister' caused him to drop his guard and his grip loosened on his blade. 'Her brother? I did not expect this.' He thought in his head, and suddenly heard the man call for Nathan to walk forward. Doing as he was told, he walked over and stood about four feet away from the royal from the kingdom of darkness, looking him in the eyes unlike what he had done to Jyade. He showed no respect for this man. Nor should he have to. He wasn't ordered to, like he had been to Jyade.

"I want to thank you for saving my sister earlier. I'm sorry that you were demoted because of her." The king opened his mouth as if to object to what the prince was saying, but a look from the yellow eyed kitsune made the man shut his mouth. The prince looked at the knight once again. "I don't say this much but you have my thanks. The people here may not act like it but without you my sister would be dead." He turned away then, dismissing the knight with a flick of the hand.

Jyade was quiet the entire time as she listened to her brother speak. He always seemed a bit blunt, not as much so as her other brother but the white furred kistune spoke his mind. She was glad that he said that to the knight. She started to eat then, as did her brother and the rest of the royals. Her and the prince were still talking to each other of course, getting to know one another still.
