This is an example using the Head Mistress. I'll post what the final looks like as her own reply to the thread Also, please send me a private message telling me what house you want to be in before you post your profile so I can post the final list and let you know if it's getting too full. I don't think it'd be a good RP if everyone was in one house. Also I will designate a dorm room number after you tell me your house and post a final list so people know where they are and who they might be rooming with. They are not co-ed dorm rooms. Bio: Miss Hikari Nagasashi has been the Head Mistress of Lotus Academy for 10 years and is one of the co-founders of the school. She studied magic at one of Japan's top universities in addition to studying education. Everyone knows she cannot possibly be human considering she looks so young and has been teaching for 10 years. Being a founder of the school means that she's a force no one wants to mess with. She has a very calm and grounded feeling about her. Students feel comfortable around her and teachers usually have a great relationship with her. She can be graceful, wise, and quite the leader. Until someone makes her angry. Bio: Mizuki was born into an average family. She was loved by both her parents and her older brother. Growing up she took a liking to swimming being fully supported by her family.It came as a surprise to the people around her when she was born with white hair, but people eventually grew to over look her odd hair color.When she turned 13 she began manifesting the ability to control water. When she and her family went to the beach and a child began to drown. Without warning she turned and jumped into the water willing it to form a wave to push her forward faster and to hold up the drowning child as much but she felt strained exerting herself too much. She saved the child and was put into the newspaper for her heroic deed; however, there were some people who noticed her extraordinary swimming ability. When she returned to school she was expelled from the swim team for cheating. For a while she became too sad to do much barely leaving her room for dinner and having to be forced to go to school.
After a couple months she returned to her normal routine, but remained a bit drawn back. She occasionally played with her ability testing it to explore her limits but deep inside she never wanted it and it ruined her life so it never truly developed much. People also began treating her different and brought back up her oddness for being a freak not only with white hair but with powers. Throughout high school she tried to remain quiet and away from people. She found herself most at peace in the park down the street from her house. She loved being among the flowers who were all unique in their own way. She didn't have many friends, though there were some people who were nice to her but she never really made friends after her power was found out. When she received her letter from Lotus Academy she was in shock. She never believed that there could be others like her, nor that there was a school for them. She was a bit excited about finishing out high school and being away from people who couldn't accept her. Going from one school being an outcast, and jumping into another school setting where she could also be outcast, made her nervous.
Her first year of Lotus academy was interesting and she excelled in many talents. She still stayed away from joining the swim team, in fear of what happened in her childhood would return to haunt her. She mostly enjoyed walking in the gardens and sitting in the music room playing the piano and singing. She found that she was best able to express herself when she sang. She is in the school choir and has even made a few friends in her first year.
Her personality is still a bit reserved. She's been through many things since she was young and chooses to be alone because she believes that's what people want her to do. She does not enjoy being alone and wants the shell she created from being an outcast to break so she can be the lively sweet person she really is.

Bio:Matt learned he can read minds a long time ago. He taught himself to hide it. A few years ago he wouldn't be able to stop hearing people’s thoughts but now the voices are low. He has to focus on them to hear them. He is very smart and likes to hear new things. He knows a few languages but not perfectly. He likes to make people laugh. His mom and dad thought he was to strange after he knew what people were going to say before they said it, so sent him off to a mental hospital. He got out by about the age of 13 and went to high school. He learned to hide it well in high school. Only some people knew.

Bio: Otto's past is fairly boring, save for him being a demon. He was summoned by some strange force, and abandoned on the doorsteps of a loving couple somewhere around the Victorian era. Honestly, he had no clue of his actual race until he hit 26 and stopped aging. From there time blurred together, his 'parents' died, and he did ungodly amounts of research. He read everything from folklore to 'facts' until it finally hit him. He was not human. Yet... given this, he felt no need to be evil, like most demons were depicted. He took up the bow, and over his many years became quite the talented magician, with a wide array of names. His mastery of the musical arts is nearly unrivaled, on such a scale to which he can actually influence people. And now, our strange, friendly demon has come to reside in the Lotus Academy, tending to the more musically inclined.

Appearance: Otto stands at a not-so-intimidating 5-foot 8-inch height. His hair is a rather fiery red, which contrast his bright green eyes. And of course, he has freckles. His body is built lean and lithe, soft to the touch, although the strength can be felt underneath. The most notable feature he has however, is a mid-sized scar on the right side of his face the starts at the edge of his lips. It gives him a permanent smirk. A few have found it a bit on the unsettling side, but once they get to know him, this normally disappears.

Bio: William lived a quiet life as the child of Robert and Elana Smith. Robert worked at a nearby steel factory while Elana worked as a waitress at a diner. Due to the long hours at both of his parents jobs William lived rather solitary life, often spending time with a baby sitter until his mother arrived home. Despite this, it was a very loving household and he was well loved by his parents. Throughout school he largely drifted beneath the radar, excelling in math, science, and history but proving deficient in writing, music, and art. Generally a rather quiet person, content to listen and write down the answers quietly, it was in high school that he blossomed. While most of his teachers remember him as the quiet bright one in the back of the room, his Shop class teacher remembers him a little differently. While his in class behavior was the same as his other classes, outside of class though he was always going out of his way to talk and converse with the teacher, not because he was having trouble, rather it was quite the opposite. William was ever curious and wanted to know more about building things. It was during high school that William discovered his latent ability. he was using a mechanical pencil with a metal body during an english test. Time was winding down and and William knowing he was not strong at writing, was feeling the pressure. Steadily thee metal body of the pencil in his hand began heating up and continued to do so until it burned him. He dropped the pencil and stared at it for a couple minutes confused and tried to pick it up again only to find it was still hot. William grabbed one of his wooden pencils and nudged it off the paper and continued on. When he got home that night he was excited and wanted to try to recreate it. As he reached for a metal rod, a bit of electricity arced from his class ring to the rod with a crack. He continued to test out his ability in secret while he was home alone after school. At least he did until he almost killed himself. William figured out that the triggers for his ability were his emotions and a focus. He also discerned that he could only do it with metal he was in contact with. One day while he was experimenting with electricity and trying to generate it in one steel rod then get it to arc to another rod in his other hand. He was successful in doing so as he heard her car pull in. For a moment William panicked, not wanting to make his mom think he was a freak, and that was all it took. The electricity that was arcing from one rod to the other reversed direction and instead of moving through the air, the electricity coursed through him and stopped his heart. His mother called an ambulance and he was resuscitated, then taken to the hospital. He was treated for electrical burns and kept overnight until he was able to confide to the doctor what had happened when his mother and father weren't going to hear it. The doctor reassured that the other burns on his hands (he had acquired quite a collection by this point) were not the result of abuse left him free to go. It was then that William stopped using his ability. In his off-time he researched his ability over the net and found out that while he was the only one he knew of with his odd ability, we wasn't alone in having one. As he continued through school, he often buried himself in classwork, but it still nagged at him that he could be doing something new, something different. When he got the letter from Lotus Academy, he went for it, not wanting to regret not exploring this avenue of himself while at the same time wanting to do it in a safer environment. The burn marks on his hands and arms remind him what happens when you aren't careful.

Appearance: Willaim stands 5'7" tall, has a slender but muscled frame, blue eyes, short brown hair, and has a number of small burn scars decorating his arms and hands with a larger electrical burn scar in the middle of both of his palms. wears leather gloves when he can to hide them.

More powerful or complex weapons/armors will take up more of the eight 'slots' than simple or weaker ones.)

Bio: Hashi's grandfather, Yoshihiro Takahara, was a giant of a man who was able to forge weapons from scrap metal, using only his bare hands, a power born for war, but used to teach students of Lotus Academy. And when he died, a letter went out to his grandson, an equally gifted young man who was living off of various odd jobs in a small apartment. A self-trained user of his powers, he has no formal training, but like his grandfather, is a wild user of powerful weapons, shown distinctly when some weeks after the letter, he arrived on campus riding a massive sword that left a legendary crater before it vanished.
Appearance: A lithe young man of 6 feet with green hair and eyes. With a lightly toned body belying his true strength, his chest and arms are covered in a myriad of scars. His normal attire consists of a dark jacket over a sleeveless white shirt, a pair of thick pants tucked into heavy boots, and a pair of armored, samurai-esque gauntlets

Name: Melanie and Phoebe Wagner
School Position: Sophomore
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Physical Features: The twins have identical features, except for the fact that one has blue eyes, and the other has violet eyes. Other than that, however, they are identical.
House: Dragon

Powers: Magic
Abilities: As witches, both are able to conjure various spells in order to both attack and defend themselves. However, because of the one soul being split into two, their powers are halved as well…unless they are together. Melanie uses her abilities for healing purposes, with plants, flowers, trees, and earth as her guide. Phoebe’s powers are more destructive. Fire is her infinity…but she does have trouble controlling it. As for other abilities…she can communicate with animals. When they work together, they can make lightning.
Weapon: Melanie wields a traditional wand, made out of maple wood and a core of dragon heartstring. Phoebe, on the other hand, has an athame she keeps strapped to her side.
Likes: Melanie likes music, drawing, animals, books and classical music. Phoebe is the more outgoing twin, and likes to dance, be outside, rock out, and be the center of attention.
Dislikes: Both don’t like to be pushed into doing things. Though Melanie and Phoebe have different personalities, they don’t like others making bad comments about their other half, and will stand up for them.
Bio: Melanie and Phoebe share the same soul. It’s because at birth, whenever their mother, Raven, was about to lose the pregnancy, she received a potion and drank it. The first original soul split into two, saving her child…but also giving her another. No one looks down on them because of their shared abilities…yet every once in a while, there is a feeling of hate coming from one member of the family. Now they are trying to have a normal high school life, and is attending the academy.

Physical Features: Her eyes are usually bored because of the mundane routine of regular life, but a beautiful shade of oceanic blue. Her hair is hip-length, with a hint of purple to the silver strands. Heather is five foot seven, with slender features. On her back is a mark of two black wings, one on each shoulder.
House: None, to prevent bias.

Powers: Weakness Recognition (In battle or in real life situations, she can detect where a person is weak, and exploit it if she wishes to.) and The Touch of Death (This makes someone experience death, without actually dying. It can last anywhere from twenty minutes, to two hours. However, this does give her an opportunity to really kill you, if she wants to…which she doesn’t.)
Abilities: Fighting, martial arts, tae-kwon-do
Weapon: Heather can use any weapon, but her favorites are the bagh nakha, the katar, wakizashi, and the katana. You’ll usually see her wear the first two, but a sword is almost always strapped to her side.
Likes: Combat, Old movies, Outdoor activities
Dislikes: Routine, Macaroni and Cheese, Cute things (not exactly dislikes cute things, but finds them unsettling)
Bio: Not much can be said about Heather Russell. Throughout history she has adopted several hundred names, all in the name of survival and such. As an Angel of Death, Heather is welcome nowhere, yet has access to everywhere. Her wings are not out, but rather sunken into her body, where they have been residing for years. Every week or so she has to go out and fly, or else she’ll go crazy, getting twitchy and distracted. There is no family to speak of, because they all died centuries ago. Even though this has hurt her deeply, since she used to fight only to protect her family, every once in a while, she thinks about having a family of her own. However, relationships are difficult for her, because she has trouble relating to others.

Physical feature: strawberry blonde hair, light skin, triple spiral tattoo on left shoulder, and left eyes is lavender right eye is grey. She is pretty short in her perspective, 5'3

Powers: Telekensis
Abiliy: With her telekenetic powers, she can make objects and people move. If she concetrates hard enough, she can make ten or twenty objects and people move against their will.

Dislikes: Drawing, boredom, pure pressure, and stress
Bio: Not much is known about Alex except she's has telekensis. People had viewed her as someone dangerous and should be sent off far far away. She ran away when people tried to get rid of her alchemy powers, Alex ran away, she then finally stumbled across the academy where she hopes she'll be accepted as just her and not as a dangerous telekenetic. She vowed herself never to tell anyone about her powers.
