Forgive the wall of text that follows, but this is the background for the plotline I have in mind. Eventually the plot will involve: reluctance, breeding, shared abuse, starvation, dehumanization (of both parties), cuckoldry, and probably a few other nasty/naughty things. I don't need someone who enjoys this though, the point is that tenderness can survive hell. If you're not too thrilled about the darker parts, I'm willing to play this from any place in the story and I can compromise. Just understand that any love between the knight and his Lady will be platonic until it becomes a matter of survival.
Please read the information below, and send me a pm or post here with any questions or interest.

The kingdom is at war, Sir Knight, but you were born knowing this. Though your lord is far enough south that the wolf-like Llarrl of the northern mountains cannot reach his lands, he has sent you many times to the foothills. Those dogs have ripped your comrades in half before your eyes. They have come snarling out of the night with slavering jaws and mad murder in their eyes. And you have survived it every time. For eight hundred and seventy years the kingdom has been at war, you are simply one of the latest generation.
After four tours in the Hills, you have done your duty. Though still young and fit, you can look forward to a life of quiet civil service to your lord and the crown. No more hellbeasts leaping out of the trees. No more terror-soaked marches at midnight.
Your first peaceful assignment is a happy one. Your lord has secured betrothal to the crown princess. As an engagement gift, your lord is sending five of his most skilled veterans to serve as personal guards. You will be living in the Citadel, soaking up all the beauty that the central valley has to offer. The other veterans are much older than you, so when Her Ladyship wants to go outside the citadel walls you are often the guard to accompany her.
Your Lord's betrothed is not what you expected. She is spoiled and rebellious, but powerfully kindhearted. The people love her because she is often among them, giving gifts of money or anything she can. More than once she has appeared in your chambers in the dead of night, just to wake you up and "go adventuring". She has a wild heart and you gradually come to love her for it. You begin to think that she may love you, too, but nothing could ever come of it.
After a year in service to the Lady, your lord arrives to take her to wife. Perhaps suspecting the friendship you have, the lord finds ways to keep you apart. You serve as an honor guard at the wedding, and almost immediately are sent back to the Hills.
Five tours is almost unheard of. Most soldiers don't survive one without a catastrophic injury, leaving your fourth unscathed was a miracle! Though the other soldiers view you with awe and great respect, you know you were sent here to die. While at the Hills, you receive word that the elderly King is dead. Your lord is now King, your beloved is now your Queen.
The Llarrl push south. The lines cannot hold. The Hills are lost. You lose hundreds of men in the retreat as a great wave of wolf-like Llarrl pour down from the mountains and it's all you can do to keep ahead of them. The tide of enemies is eventually stopped, but only a few days ride from the central valley. Thousands of soldiers strain to hold the dogs back from the Citadel, but you know that the lines will break soon.
And so you ride. Once at the Citadel you find that your Lord and Lady will not meet with you. Oh, the stewards are polite enough, but after weeks of trying you haven't even made an appointment with the King. The Queen cannot see you, either. Rumors whisper that she is bedridden, a childhood malady has come back to torment her. She has not been seen outside the Citadel since her wedding.
While you struggle with the bureaucracy, the northern forces break and the Llarrl pour south. With the dogs howling at the city walls, you know that you have no time. The capitol will fall soon, so you use the chaos to sneak into Her Ladyship's chambers. You find her there, pale and thin and terrified, watching the siege from her window while her husband paces frantically. You insist that she leave the city before it falls, and her husband agrees. The three of you escape through the same old tunnels that she used to use to take you out "adventuring". Once outside the walls, you find and steal a cart and horse. Your queen insists on leaving her ring to pay for the horse. The king forbids it and strikes her when she argues. She quietly agrees with her husband, but you see her drop the ring behind the cart as you leave.
Eventually the Llarrl take the citadel. The armies break and scatter, and the kingdom falls. You do your best to keep the king and queen safe, but your lord proves to be a coward. In the night, the Llarrl come close to your camp. He panics and bolts into the woods, drawing the creatures' attention to the camp. You and the queen are captured, though none of the Llarrl recognize her.
You are taken to a camp filled with people and deposited roughly in a pen. From other captives you learn that the Llarrl are using humans as slave labor and occasionally food. Separated from your Lady, you are forced into menial labor with other men. One of the men confides that, if you can find a willing woman, breeding pairs are treated much nicer. The Llarrl view humans as cattle, but they know the importance of keeping a healthy herd. Breeding pairs are spared the whip, and allowed an indoor cell to sleep in. The "bitches" aren't worked hardly at all, and are given much better food. You refuse the idea at first, until your informer points out that a pretty woman like your Lady would be a target to any unpaired "stud" looking for a softer life.
And so, as soon as you find her in the enclosure, you must convince your queen to pretend to be your lover. You intend for it to be an act, but the Llarrl keepers are watching...

RE: Seeking a noble-hearted knight

Willing to again take on this plot. Currently only accepting one partner. I will edit this post when the position has been filled.

Changed the title and made a few minor edits to the text. Hopefully the new title will catch the right eyes.
