The new Neighbors-Princessgumdrop/moon

Akira just shook his head "They'll come around." he mumbled, even though his tone didn't sound like he believed it. His mood seemed to lighten rather quickly as they made dinner and ate. He laughed every now and then, enjoying the brother's company. Never asking about the strange language they had slipped into. He figured it was probably just something that they spoke in Old Ireland. He looked out the window and gasped, "Stupid brats." he mumbled and watched Faylin run out to protect his home. "Oh my god, Faylin!" he called, "Stop, don't!" he rushed out after Dresen, once he had seen Faylin get hurt. He moved over to Faylin and helped him sit up. "oh god, Faylin." he said and pulled off his shirt, placing it on the bleeding portion of his head "There's a phone in my house." he said and quickly ran over calling the EMS as fast as he could.

When they showed up, the EMS hesitated at the edge before looking at each other and heading over to Faylin and pulling him onto a gurney and then into the ambulance. Akira followed Dresen, wanting to help support his new found friend in his time of need. "Come on, do you have a car?" he asked, "I can lead you to the hospital from here." he said and touched Dresen's shoulder. "You going to be okay?" he asked, "I'm sure he'll be fine." he said, giving a soft smile. "He seems pretty tough." he smiled a bit more and headed over towards Dresen's home. He had never owned a car, simply because he had never had a need for one, he could drive if Dresen needed him too, he knew how. "I'll make sure those idiots pay for what they did too." he said, "That's not right, regardless if they think you aren't human or not. They wouldn't do that to a dog...much less a person." he frowned, shaking his head. "Stupid kids."

Faylin groaned as he was shifted and blinked stupidly at Akira. Dresen wasted no time in calling the EMT's. Dresen nearly blew up at them when they hesitated, but calmed once they stepped up and helped Faylin into the Ambulance. "yeah, i have a car." he growled, his eyes flashing with rage as he watched people peeking out of their curtains to see what was going on. "i'm NOT going to be alright! we had enough of this shit back home!" Dresen snarled. "now my brother is hurt because of the stupid bastards who live here too! i WON'T stand for this!" he hissed as he led the way to a carport where the car they'd arrived in was sitting. he slipped inside and started the engine and let Akira guide him to the Hospital. the police met them there and took Dresen's statement since Faylin was too out of it to answer any questions. Dresen grumbled in disgust as he paced the waiting room. Faylin was in the X-Ray room getting his brain looked at. well, that's what Dresen had been able to understand anyway. the Doctor had used much bigger words. a half an hour later the doctor was back, informing them that Faylin had a severe concussion and a cracked skull and that he'd have to stay at the hospital for a few days to make sure the concussion didn't rupture and that he didn't fall into a coma. he informed them that if the stone had struck just an inch lower, Faylin would have died. that only infuriated Dresen even more.

fortunately, they where allowed to go see Faylin, who was now coherent enough to know where he was and who he was talking to. he was sitting up in bed with the help of massive pillows. "hey Dresen, calm down." Faylin ordered with just one look at the other. "it's no worse than what we've been through before." "yes, but it's expected in Old Ireland for people to be superstitious bastards hell bent on killing anything that's not exactly like them! this is different! these people should know better!" he raged and Faylin sighed. "Dres. their just kids who are acting out on fear." Faylin stated with a roll of his eyes. "i'm sure you beat them up." "...nah, just smacked em with a broom a few times." Dresen grumbled. "the police are out collecting them now." he mumbled with annoyance. "for gods sakes, even the EMT's hesitated!" he complained. "they might have gotten you killed if they'd hesitated too long! the stupid bastards!" Dresen raged some more and Faylin sighed and glanced at Akira. "Akira, would you go down to the pop machine and get Dresen a soda? coke if they have it." he asked, Dresen handing Faylin a few ones without even really thinking about it. by the time Akira got back, Dresen was calm and relaxed once more, like he normally was and was discussing the idea of just demolishing the house and rebuilding one from scratch. it would save them a lot of grief from the neighbors at least. granted, they'd have to stay in a hotel if they did that...

Akira flinched at the outburst, but understood. He was a little shocked by what the teens had done, they had never been that ignorant, at least he didn't think so. He took notice when Dresen said they had to deal with this back in Old Ireland and looked a bit confused, but he said nothing, he figured that Dresen just needed a release for the anger inside of him. He gave quick instructions and waited as Dresen gave his statement, Akira giving what he had seen. Explaining to the police that he really wasn't sure what had gotten into the teens, they did it completely unprovoked, he shook his head when the police tried to ask if Faylin had done anything. "No, he just ran out after them. Told them to stop throwing the stones at their home." he said, "He wasn't even threatening towards them, just told them to stop. I think he might have called them idiots or something, but nothing that I would say promoted them throwing a rock at him." he said, looking rather pissed at the kids.

He went in to go see Faylin and he smiled softly when he looked up at them. "They-" he stopped and glanced at Dresen and nodded, "Okay." he said and quickly headed out to get a soda and then came back handing it over to Dresen. "I'm really sorry about that Faylin." he said and smiled softly, "I don't know what got into them...no one is that violent around here." he said, looking down to his feet. "I'm rather ashamed to say that these people are my friends and neighbors." he shook his head and sighed. He was a bit shocked to hear them talking about tearing the building down. "What?!" he said and looked a bit bewildered. "You..you can't!" he sat down in a chair, "I know we are all afraid of it...but...but it's just apart of this town, I don't know what we would do without it." he tried to argue, he knew it would probably be for the best for the brothers to knock it down. "I know it's stupid...and it's just an old building...but it means a lot to the townsfolk, regardless."

Faylin shrugged a little. "it's nothing to worry about. i got beat up worse than this in Old Ireland." "we moved away from Old Ireland so you wouldn't get beat up you ponce!" Dresen complained, Falin smirking a little. "i know. but like i said. this isn't nearly as bad..." "that isn't the point!" Dresen snapped and Fay sighed and shook his head. clearly he didn't care much about being hurt, probobly because he was so used to it. but Dresen was furious, as was expected of an older brother trying to protect his weaker younger brother. "not violent my ass." Dresen grumbled and Fay shook his head. "Dres. you know better than that. those children where just of a mob mentality and their being punished for it. they have to volunteer here for several months, dealing with head trauma. so they can see what they almost did to another person the stupid idiots." he stated with a roll of his eyes. "besides, only one threw the stone, the others looked almost as horrified as Akira did. i remember that much at least." Dresen scowled and then nodded. "so i only really need to kill one person, that's good to know." Fay rolled his eyes. "oh please. you can't kill anyone you great pompous idiot." "well.. i'll maim him then." "blood makes you squirm." "... i'll make him cry." "you hate seeing people cry." "stop making me look like some weak willed woman!" "well..." "Shut up!" Dresen ordered, glaring at the snickering Faylin.

then they both stared at Akira as if he was insane. "but your all terrified of it!" Dresen protested before he got a wicked gleam in his eyes. "oh, i have an idea." he murmured, smirking viciously. "we'll make an announcement, or i will anyway, no one would DARE throw stones at ME!" and it was true. Faylin seamed to be... helpless somehow. it was a sensation that anyone could feel. somehow Faylin was 'easy prey'. Dresen was anything but. he was big, he was strong, and he gave off that feeling of being the biggest cat on the block. no one would screw with Dresen. "come on Akira, visiting hours are over soon. and i want to deal with this now." Dresen admitted, his eyes flashing as he led Akira down to the car and let the other take him back to their haunted home. it was night now, but that didn't stop Dresen from pounding on every door in the street. "i'm tearing down the god damn house!" this was repeated, over, and over and over to every single person in every single doorway and by morning, every single person in the town would know. the haunted house was being torn down. now all Dresen had to do was wait and see what would happen.

Akira nodded "I know, I just...we just...ugh, I don't know." he said and blinked when Dresen had him follow him. "Dresen..I don't know about this." he said and waved back to Faylin feeling a bit bad for the man. He didn't want anyone to get hurt again, because of the stupid house, but at the same time he had lived next to that house for as long as he could remember, to have it torn down was liking having part of his childhood torn down. "Dresen, please...what are we doing?" he asked, following him around, not that he had much of a choice since Dresen was the one driving. He gave an apologetic smile to ever single neighbor that they went to, unable to explain what was going on before he was whisked away to the next neighbor. By the time that Dresen was finished he was tired and ready to go home. Once they got home he glanced over to the haunted house and then to his "Hey...um...if this actually works and you guys tear the house down...um...you both could stay with me. I've got a spare room with two beds." he offered. "There's no point in spending more money then you will already to tear the thing down." he explained.

Come the next morning, Akira was back out and sitting on the steps of the haunted house as slowly people from around the neighborhood came to see what all the commotion was about the previous night. Akira watched them for a bit and glanced over to the door, waiting for Dresen to come out. He had been waiting for Dresen to come out so they could go see Faylin in the hospital but it seemed that the neighborhood had another idea. He sighed and finally got up and knocked on the door "Hey Dresen!" he called "The neighborhood has something to say!" he called and moved out of the way waiting on him to come out. The neighborhood just stood across the street, one person coming over and standing on the edge of the street in front of the house. He held out his hand and motioned for Akira to come over "We've got a note." he stated, motioning again. "Here, here." he said, waving a piece of paper for Akira to take. Akira headed over and took the note "He'll be out in a moment. Just -" "No. Just had him the note, we all decided and signed it." the man mumbled and hurried off to be with the rest of the crowd.

Akira headed back over to the door and waited for Dresen to come out, "They said it's their decision." he said and handed Dresen the note. He looked over to the crowd and then to Dresen "What's it say?" he asked.

Dresen simply ignored Akira. there was no point in staying with Faylin now that the guy was safe from harm. Dresen gave Akira a small smirk, lifting an eyebrow at the other. "we're being proactive." not that such a thing told Akira just what they where doing. he paused as Akira spoke up and he smiled at the other, his head tilted to the side. "thank you Akira. that's very kind. we'll see how things go. i don't know if we're going to need to tear down the house, but since it's so important to... well, everyone apparently, then we'll see if they pipe up." Dresen stated. "if they don't try to save the house, then i'll tear the damn thing down." he stated with a nod. he went inside to make up the bedroom better for when Faylin came home, and the light stayed on most of the night. just because he was tearing it down, didn't mean he wasn't going to keep working. he slept a little later than he anticipated, and walked outside tot he door knock and his name being called, rubbing his eyes as he watched Akira come over from the crowd. he blinked a little at the letter and opened it up and read it silently before snorting as he moved over to the crowd.

"So!" he stated, glaring at them now. "you won't look at me, you won't speak to me, you won't even cross the street to acknowledge the fact that my brother almost DIED defending this house... and now you want me to abstain from having it torn down!?" he demanded, waving the letter. "Now you want to KEEP the house?! well what if i refuse!? What if i've had enough of your shit!?" he demanded, his eyes narrowed as he examined the crowd. "well. since you went through the effort of actually trying to stop me, i'll play nice." he grumbled, folding up the paper carefully and sticking it in his pocket. "but one more... incident, and the house is coming down, you hear me!?" he demanded, shaking his finger at the crowd. "and no more assaults on me, my brother, or my house!" and with that he turned on his heal and winked at Akira as he headed for his car.

"come on Akira, let's see how Faylin is feeling." he started to snicker once they where in the safety of the car. "i cannot beleive they actually all signed a letter asking me not to destroy the towns most known historical monument. honestly, their terrified of it, yet they don't want to see it go. does that make ANY sense to you?" he asked Akira before blinking. "...don't answer that." when they got to Faylin and Dresen explained what happened, Faylin thought it was just as funny. at least they where sure now. they would continue the renovation, and if there was any more problems, they'd raze the house to the ground.

Akira sighed a bit when he heard what the answer was about the building. He was starting to understand the brother's feelings on it, but he was still with the town on it. Then again, Akira was working on his fear of the house. It really wasn't so bad, at least he was coming to see that. He smiled softly as they drove to the hospital and almost chuckled a bit when Dresen asked if he could make sense of what the townspeople thought of the haunted house. "Well...it's like...did you ever have something in Old Ireland that was precious to you even if others didn't see why? The house is kind of like that. It's precious to us, even if we are afraid of it. Though I do think some of the people think that we would all be cursed if you did tear it down...but that's just some of the older folk." he explained and found himself laughing at the idea. As Dresen explained what the townspeople did in regards to them suggesting to tear down the house he muddled about the hospital room and fixed things up. He did always like to keep busy.

Once he was done he sat down and watched the two brothers "If...If you like, that offer is still open, I'm sure it can't be all that great sleeping in that house. Even if...even if it isn't haunted." he stated, licking his lips. It was weird to say. The house wasn't haunted, he had gone in and come out and he was still the same, no harm done. That proved it right? He took a deep breath "Plus, with some of those rooms like that, it's no environment to be sitting in there with a head injury. Or no injury at all for that matter, the house could come tumbling down on both of you." he looked rather concerned for the two brothers. He wasn't quite sure why be he had already come to like both of them, at least enough to not want any harm to come to either. "You guys work all day and night...it can't possibly be healthy. And I don't even think I saw any beds in there." he said, starting to ramble. "I've got two perfectly good beds that get very little use. You can stay in those during the night and then work during the day." he said, almost like he had made up their minds for them.

Dresen chuckled a little as he patted Akira's head, shaking his own a little. in all honesty, he understood exactly what the Townspeople had thought. that was why he had done it, he'd basically been bluffing. he had gone house to house telling them all that he was destroying the house, so that they would understand that the house, and therefor the renovation of the house, was important to them. "ah yes. i understand." Dresen admitted. "Faylin had an old ratty baby blanket that he loved to carry around. the others at school and in public tormented him ruthlessly about it, but he wouldn't give it up because it was incredibly important to him. he cried for three days straight when the local bullies burned it." he admitted as they stepped into the room. Fay and Dresen both smiled as they watched Akira putter about, amused beyond belief that the boy was still taking care of them.

"hmm?" Faylin asked, blinking in shock at Akira. "oh... well..." he muttered, looking sheepish. "none of the rooms can be reached yet so... we've just been... sleeping on the floor downstairs." he admitted, looking sheepish. "we don't mean to stay up so late working, we just can't help ourselves..." "he has a point though, Fay... you can't sleep on the floor with a cracked skull. i simply can't allow it. and the inspectors found black mold and other nasty things in the basement, specialists have to come in and clean it up. we can't live in the house when they do that either. and you know... how your lungs get..." Fay sighed a little and nodded. "yes. you're right. Black mold could put me in the hospital all over again. it's fine right now." he assured Akira. "as long as it isn't disturbed, it won't hurt anything, but once people start going in and out of the basement, it becomes a very dangerous place to be." he admitted, chewing on his thumbnail. "still... i don't want to take advantage of your kindness..." "don't be an idiot Fay. he's offering because he wants to help you. and i'm not going to let you say no." Dresen turned to Akira. "we'd be glad to stay with you. we'll make very sure not to become a hindrance upon you." "yes, thank you Akira." Faylin stated with a happy smile.

Akira smiled brightly "Cute, you think I was going to let you say no." he chuckled "Not with knowing that stuff about the black mold, and you are taking advantage of my kindness." he looked a bit shy, but smiled again anyways "I like hanging out with you guys. It's nice to have more to talk about than day to day things." he explained. "Most people around here are all into each other's business, so it's hard to talk around here if you have things you don't want people finding out." he shrugged, "Plus...you've been outside of this town. To me, that's pretty cool." he bit his lip. "I just hope you can stand living with me. I'm a bit of a neat freak. I don't care about the room you'll be staying in, that's for you to keep how you like it, but the rest of the house...I tend to keep spotless." he winced.

"I know it's a bit neurotic...but it's just the way I am." he explained. He fidgeted in his chair. "Knowing this town...they'll know by tonight that you are staying with me." he bit his lip "Let's just hope their fear is more towards the house than towards you." he glanced towards the door, "and let's hope that if that isn't the case, the hospital has lost it's fear of you." he whispered as he noticed a few nurses glancing inside, checking out to see what was going on in the room. He waved gently and chuckled as they ducked their noses into notebooks or clipboards. "You seem to have the girls in a tizzy around here." he laughed, "Not much of a shocker there though."

they both chuckled at him and Faylin shook his head. "your so bossy Akira." he complained with a laugh. "as if Dresen would let me say no. he's bossy too." he admitted with a smile. "we like hanging out with you too Akira. your a real cool guy." Dresen admitted simply. "it is kind of nice to be able to talk about things other than the weather. personally i think all the problems we've been having, is just them gossiping too much. honestly, how can they think we're demons come to take over the world? don't they know how ridiculous that is?" Dresen complained, Faylin snickering. "i think it's funny." Fay admitted with an impish grin. "think of all the candy we'll save during Halloween at least. and we won't have to worry about snot nosed kids vandalizing our house." "...this is true, i guess..." Dresen muttered even as he rolled his eyes at his brother. they both blinked at Akira, their heads cocked to the side. "neat freak?" they glanced at each other, they where both fairly messy people, but they'd try their hardest to stay clean for Akira.

"i'm sure it's mostly the fear of the house." Faylin admitted. "and if it's not, they won't dare attack us again, not after the ass whopping they got from Dresen." Faylin stated with a grin as Dresen nodded. "the nurses certainly have." Faylin commented on the fear part as he beamed at the nurse who poked her head in. "it's such a shame that i'm gay." he commented, as if he was talking about the weather and Dresen smacked himself in the forehead. "Faylin... when you are just asked by a male neighbor, whose nearly a stranger, to live with him... you do not simply come out and declare that your gay. he'll be worried about being molested." "...eh? but i wouldn't Molest Akira. he wouldn't like it." "yes but he doesn't know that. and don't forget, people in places like this don't tend to like people like us." "like i care. you beat up the last twenty people who called us Fags after all." "yes, and i'd rather not have to go through that again you brain dead moron!" "i am not a brain dead moron! i'm high on pain killers!" "...pain killers?!" "yeah, the nurse brought it to me, they come in these pretty little white circles and they make all the pain go away... did you know that you can see sound?" "oh my god... my brother is stoned..." Dresen groaned, shaking his head as he glanced at Akira with a grimace. "i'm sorry..."

Akira blinked when Faylin admitted that he was gay. "Oh, tha-" he stopped as Dresen continued on with his statement about being molested. Very soon his face turned bright red and he bit his bottom lip, sitting there quiet and blushing. He glanced towards the door every few seconds as they continued on and one about molestation and being gay and how in places like this it wasn't a good idea to mention it. He looked over to Dresen and shook his head when he mentioned he was sorry, "It's...it's really okay..." he said, glancing at the door again "I...I get it." he stated, almost stressing the words, attempting to get his point across. He finally got up and closed the door, going back to his seat. "Although....he really shouldn't around here. Mention things like that. It gets people into a lot of trouble." he explained, "It's not easy...not admitting to something like that, but you know..." he mumbled. "Try to say things like that behind closed doors." he mumbled.

He sat back down and looked at his lap, "You're really kind protecting your brother like that." he said and looked over to Faylin "Even if he is high on painkillers." he shook his head "Did they mention when you can head on home?" he asked, trying to change the subject as smoothly as he could "I can have the bed ready by tonight if you like. I'll have yours ready by tonight." he said, nodding to Dresen. "I'm not going to let you stay in that house one more night knowing that it's that dangerous. Even if it was haunted danger." he chuckled. "Plus, the beds will be much more comfortable than the floor. And I'm sure it's warmer in my house than that drafty old building." he waved it off. There he went rambling a bit again, but it was just one of his many nervous ticks, other than biting his lip. He had never admitted, even in the slightest that he was gay, and even if the brothers didn't catch on, to him he had admitted it and it was a risky move for him. Though, he viewed it as he was already taking a lot of risky moves lately, no harm in adding one more.

Dresen blinked at Akira a little, his head cocked to the side before he glanced at the door, suddenly aware that the door was open. "well... we've been attacked for it before." he muttered softly. "Faylin normally wouldn't have said anything at all, but he thinks your cute, and he doesn't handle drugs very well." Dresen admitted. "you don't have to worry though, Faylin would never try to seduce you." he promised. "he's satisfied with just having you as a freind." he promised, smiling a little. "and i am too for that matter, no matter how cute you are." he teased playfully before looking at Faylin. "if i don't protect him, no one will... he was always a weak kid, always sick, always getting picked on. he doesn't have a strong personality like mine, he just lets people walk all over him, and he never tries to defend himself." Dresen sighed. "he practically... attracts bullies and bigots." he admitted softly. "and without a father... it was up to me to protect my little brother..." he smiled. "it was my job, and i was always glad to do it." he admitted. "because he's my baby brother." he paused and blinked at Akira's swift change of subject.

"well, Faylin has a chance of brain bleeding yet, so their keeping him for a few more days. the doctors are concerned about the crack in his skull, so their taking more X-Ray's in the morning to make sure nothing has chipped off. if he turns out to be fine tomorrow night, then he'll be able to go home the next day. he'll be too dizzy to stand though, and he'll be weak and nauseous so he'll need a lot of taking care of. there is a high chance of him contracting a disease too, a cold, or the flue, something common like that. he always catches fevers after he's been to a Hospital because his lungs and immune system is weak." Dresen admitted, gently stroking Faylin's hair out of his face, since the drugged up man had fallen asleep. "and i would really appreciate a bed tonight... and a shower with hot water too." he admitted with a small chuckle. "the plumbing works, but the hot water doesn't, so we have to take cold showers until they can clean up all that Black Mold. "we should let him sleep." Dresen muttered as he stood up, blinking at Akira. "thank you, Akira... for not freaking out.. i think... that meant the world to Fay."

Akira shook his head a little after the whole ordeal. "I would be quite the hypocrite if I freaked out over something like that." He blushed and bit his lip. "I...um...I think you two are rather attractive as well. Don't worry I won't try and seduce you either." He said, chuckling a little bit. Hoping, perhaps that Dresen would get it now. He felt the need to confess to the two men before him. He wasn't really sure why, but he did. So he finally went with it. "I hope I can trust that neither of you will go spreading my secret around." He asked, glancing to Dresen, "I've managed to hide it for so long." He looked back to Faylin and nodded, "Soundd good to me. He could use the rest. Come. I'll show you to your bedroom for the time being." He motioned and stood up. "Oh. And you can trust me to keep your secret." He said with a soft smile as he opened the door.

When they got back to the house Akira led the way towards his home, opening the door for Dresen. "So...um...this is home." He said, motioning to the house that looked spotless. "Your room is this way." He said and gave a small tour showing the living room, kitchen, bath and his room before getting to Dresen's room. "And this is where you two will be sleeping." He explained, showing off the spotless room complete with two twin beds, perfectly made, "like I said before, I don't really care how you keep this room. Keep it as messy or clean as you like." He turned and smiled a bit "I'm about to make lunch, so make yourself at home." He said, "I could make you something if you'd like." He offered and picked at the hem of his shirt.

Dresen paused, frowned in confusion and then his eyes widened in shocked amazement as he stared at Akira. the other was Gay!?... well, it wasn't that much of a shock, but Dresen had certainly never expected the other boy to ADMIT it! "of course not! the last thing we need is people throwing stones at you!" he stated, blinking a little at the other. "and then i'd have to protect TWO little brothers!" he complained. "and Faylin is more than a handful himself!" he complained, scrubbing the bridge of his nose. "we're not going to tell Fay until he's off the pain pills, or he's never going to be able to keep a secrete." he smiled at the other boy. "at least you won't find it weird that Faylin wears girls panties at least." he muttered before he paused. "that was probobly too much information wasn't it?" he asked with a small grimace. Dresen seamed to babble a bit when he was nervous too. he drove them home and stepped into the house with a smile and examined the room. "Faylin is going to love this." Dresen admitted with a snicker. "he's not going to shut up for weeks about it." he grumbled as he touched a bed. "soft." he muttered before smiling at Akira.

"why don't you make lunch, and i'll go over to the house and pack some of my and Fay's things?" he offered. "then i'll wash the dishes as thanks for your food." he decided, nodding. he left before Akira could protest the thought of guests doing housework. Dresen wasn't about to stay there without doing anything after all. he came back twenty minutes later with twin duffel bags, and stuffed them into their borrowed bedroom and hummed a little to himself as he came back down for lunch. "that looks delicious!" Dresen chirped, happy with any kind of meal that he didn't have to cook himself. Fay did most of the cooking, if they cooked at all. usually they just ate Take out. "Say, Akira... i was wondering..." Dresen asked suddenly, his head tilted at the other. "why was it that you where the only person brave enough to talk to us?" he asked. "why did you greet us our first day here?"

Akira watched the other look around, still thinking about how he reacted to finding out that Akira was gay. He vlushed at the thought. Only to blush more when he was told that Faylin wore women's underwear at times. He shook his head, getting the image out of his head as best as possible. As Dresen continued to ramble on he just listened, smiling, happy that he found someone who rambled like him when nervous. "Glad you aren't freaking out." He laughed a bit, just teasing. As they looked about the house he smiled "I'm glad you like it, it's good to know that he will as well." He nodded before thinking and then was left to stare at the door shutting. He sighed, not liking the thought of guests working in his home. But he would let it happen for now.

As they sat down to lunch, he ate in silence until Dresen asked his question. "I...I really couldn't say. I mean, I guess I felt a little bad for you. Like I knew what was happening and what people were saying and I just kept thinking 'God, no one had even gone over to talk to them. Or even tried to get to know them. Maybr they don't even know the house is haunted.'" He chuckled, "next thing I knew I was heading over to your place and saying hello. That and....you to were...um..." he blushed "rather attractive working the way you were." He whispered, embarrassed by his own words. He took a bite of the tuna melt and eyed Dresen. "And then you were so strange...er rather not what I was used to in people that I just stayed. It'd hard growing up knowing you are different from everyone else....that you are something they hate and there really isn't anyone that understandd what it's like to feel that way. And then all of a sudden here are two people that scream they get it. You can't help but go there."

Dresen smiled sheepishly. "i'm more freaking out that Fay blurted it out like that." he admitted with a sigh. "he usually has a lot more tact than that." he admitted with a small chuckle before he headed out to get his things. "oh?" he asked, his head tilted a little. "so... you felt bad for us... that's new." he admitted with a grin. "so you WHERE ogling my body! i knew it!" he teased with a bright grin. "i have to admit the first time i saw you, my first thought was 'he's adorable!'. i wanted to pick you up and squeeze you like you where a plushie, and then take you inside and do anything you wanted." he admitted with a grin. "that sounds a bit creepy but at the time i thought you where rather innocent, so i was imagining feeding you lunch and playing board games..." he admitted with a snicker. "actually, you still seam very innocent." he admitted with a shake of his head. "don't know if that's true or not, but that's sort of what i see." he admitted with a smile before he sobered at the last bit of the explanation and he nodded. "you know... we probobly understand better than anyone. me and Fay... we never really belonged anywhere. not even in Old Ireland..." he admitted with a small sigh.

"our mother was... well she was a hedge-witch, to be completely honest with you. she made traditional medicines out of natural herbs, barks, and berries. medicines that really worked. and she could bless people, and things, give them good luck and good harvests. but people where afraid of her, no matter how much they went to her for aid. because of that, they where afraid of my brother and me too. we never had anyone but ourselves after mother died when we where teenagers. we started to travel then, no matter that we where poor, not even a penny to our names. it didn't matter where we went though, we where always odd to others." he smiled a little. "being raised the way we where, what did we care about fitting in anyway?" he mused. "Fay always got hit the hardest though, when we where getting picked on, they'd single him out, because everyone can tell he won't fight back... not to protect himself anyway." he admitted. "we didn't even know we where gay until..." here he paused and closed his eyes. "well... that's a story for Fay to tell." he muttered softly, sadness soaked in his words. "when i saw you take on the entire town, and they turned their backs on you, i just knew that somehow, you where as different as me and Fay where." he admitted with a smile. "that you had never really belonged anywhere either."

Akira chuckled "It wasn't really too much of a shock...I figured that you might be when he mentioned early that I was cute...when we were working together. And then with you when you mentioned taking me as a secretary...." he bit his lip. "I'm not...that...innocent." he blushed, he was almost completely innocent and he knew it. He had sex all of one time in his life and it wasn't anything serious, even though he had wished it was. It was with some jock in high school. The typical cliched story of a young gay kid and a closeted jock. He had his attractions like anyone else and he had to admit, both of the brothers were right up his alley. He smiled a bit when the other mentioned that they probably new exactly how he felt. He was glad that he had been right about them, though at the same time a little sad, he never wanted anyone to go through what he had all his life. Though it seemed like the two brothers had it worse then he did.

"Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that." he whispered at the mention of their mother's passing. "What...what about your father?" he asked, "Don't you know him, could he not take care of you?" he asked. He was about to ask about the story behind them knowing they were gay, but the sadness stopped him. He didn't want to see either of them broken hearted. "I was a little shocked honestly. I mean, they don't know about me or anything...but I thought they would have my back on meeting you guys..." he sighed, "I guess not though....I honestly wish I was wrong about a lot of things when it comes to you and the neighborhood." he chuckled "Make life a little easier on everyone." he shrugged. "I don't really mind them turning their backs on me though, it just goes to show me who my real friends are and lets me be myself a bit more. At least I know now that they never really thought I fit in either. Not much of a shocker though, my family wasn't all that much part of the norm anyway. We like to do things our way and what not like that." he waved it off like it was nothing.

he grinned a little and nodded. "yeah that was a pretty big hint wasn't it?" he asked sheepishly. "honestly, i didn't even think about it, i guess i was flirting without realizing it. i do that sometimes, i flirt with people when i find them attractive, or amusing, or interesting, or... well you get the idea. i flirt with people." he admitted with a grin. "your innocent." he teased with a smile. "it's not so much an innocence of worldly sins, it's just..." he paused and then. "you've never had anything really bad happen to you, you still see the world through bright eyes. you still have faith and trust in people." he admitted with a smile. "Fay has a bit of that too yet. he always wants to beleive the best in people, even though he knows better." he admitted with a shake of his head before pausing at the mention of his father and a dark, furious scowl etched into his face.

"Father was..." his hands tightened into Fists and he scowled darkly at the table. "he died. it was an 'Accident'... a load of bullshit. he was murdered and everyone knows it." he spat hatefully. "i was five when it it happened. i still remember it. watching them bring my father in. he was crushed by a steal beam..." he admitted, before forcing himself to calm down. "he was married to the Hedgwitch after all. and he was protesting against the boss because his wages where smaller than everyone elses and we where starving because we couldn't afford food or seeds." he admitted, shaking his head. "after father died, we moved out of the town and stole the seeds we needed. Fay was only a year old so i doubt he even remembers living in town." he admitted sighing a little before smiling at the other. "well. you have us now. you don't need them anyway." he stated simply. "you seam completely independent." he admitted as he watched the other. "i doubt that the neighbors would have stayed peaceful. with you here, they where less willing to outright attack us." he admitted with a small sigh. "but i'm used to people being afraid of me. and Fay is too. so we don't give a damn." he admitted with a smile. "what was your family like, if you don't mind me asking."

Akira chuckled when the other explained himself "I guess so. I mean, I've had a pretty good life." he shrugged, his bright face changing when Dresen started to talk about his father. He got up from his seat and touched Dresen's shoulder. "I'm so sorry. It's cruel what some people do to others because of who they love." he said and shook his head. He smiled softly when Dresen called him independent and shrugged "I suppose so, you kind of learn to be that way when you don't have many friends." he laughed, "It's not a big deal for me." His face dropped when Dresen asked about his family. It had been a while since he talked about his family. "I um..." he started and moved to sit down. "I don't usually talk about them." he said, shrugging a bit, "I haven't seen them in a very long time." he explained as he started to collect what was on the table, standing up again to start washing the dishes.

"My mom and dad died when I was young. A car accident. So my older brother took care of me for most of my life. He wanted to leave here after well...um, after I had this fling with a jock in high school. He found out and was worried that it would get out that I was gay. He didn't care that I was, he was just worried that the town would hurt me or whatever." he said, "I didn't want to leave, I love it here. Even if I wouldn't mind traveling, I would always want to come back here, kind of like a home base, you know?" he asked, "Anyway, we got into this huge fight about it and he decided that he was going to move anyway and that I could stay here if I felt like it." he bit his lip "That was about 5 years ago." he said, "I get holiday and birthday cards from him. He has a daughter. Mary, wonderful little girl that he adopted. He said that he misses me, which is why he adopted her. He needs something to take care of." he chuckled, "He was a really good brother-father figure." he smiled, "I miss him a lot, but neither of us have the money to go see each other, so it's mostly been the cards. At least he's happy, you know?"

he smiled a little and nodded. "that's good." he admitted simply. "it's good to have a good life." he pointed out before pausing at the others comfort. leaning into the hand only a little. "yeah. me and my brother have always been pretty independent too." he admitted with a small smile. "of course... that might just be because of the way we grew up." he admitted with a smile before he shook his head a little. "you won't be without freinds again." he promised, gently squeezing the others shoulder. "me and Fey... we'll always be there for you, just like you're here for us now." he promised before pausing at the others hesitance, opening his mouth to tell him that he didn't need to talk about it, but Akira was already talking. he stood up with Akira and helped with the dishes, rinsing and drying after the other was finished with them. "i'm sorry about your parents..." he muttered, feeling an ache in his chest. the three of them, they where so alike it almost hurt. he wondered how Akira would react if he... found out. the brothers where hiding more than one thing, and all of them could get them killed if the wrong person found out.

he continued to listen, his head tilted a little. "well, we could..." he bit his lip. "i did tell you we needed an assistant." he admitted. "it pays well, and you could travel all over. we usually just settle down wherever we feel like, but on our vacations and in-between trips... well, we could easily make this home base." he offered. "we could even schedule side trips so that you have time to visit your brother. it's not that hard really." he promised as he rinsed and then dried the glass that he had been drinking from. "it wouldn't be a hard job. you'd just screen our calls, make us dinner... pick up after us when we forget we need to be orderly about things. help with organization and stuff... make sure we're in bed when we're sick." he smirked at that a little. "granted. you'll want a pay raise after the first time that happens. fay and i are TERRIBLE when we're sick." he admitted with a chuckle. "it would be a good chance for you, if you take it. we can even schedule a visit to your brother first thing." he offered, growing more and more eager about the idea. "where does he live anyway? we have businesses in every state... i think. Fay does the locations and investments, i just do the finances." he admitted with a smile.

Akira smiled softly when Dresen promised he wouldn't be without friends again. "It wasn't so bad, like I said, my brother was a very good older brother and father. He raised me the best he could without." he shrugged a bit, "I don't really remember my parents anyhow. Not like you two seem too." he said, smiling softly. He blinked "Really?" he licked his lips and then continued on with the dishes "It would be asking way too much." he said, "though...I am in line for a job, I'm sure." he chuckled, "I don't think my boss at the bakery would be too happy with me coming back." he shrugged again. He had wanted to keep that secret, but he was sure that both of the brother's would have noticed that he was home all the time rather than at work like he was supposed to be.

"That would be really nice." he said, "And I'm pretty good at house work and taking care of people...." he trailed off, "I...somewhere in New York." he explained, "I'm sure if you are large enough that you probably have worked there. I'd have to look at a card to find out, I'm not really sure exactly where in New York." he explained and finished up with the dishes before setting them aside to drip dry. "So you are good with money?" he asked, "And he's better with people?" he smiled a bit "Why am I not surprised." he asked, shaking his head. "Come on, I'll help you get some new sheets and make up the beds, I'll show you where the towels are as well, in case you would like to take a shower. I have hot water." he promised.

Dresen smiled a little and nodded. "it was good for you to have him i think." he admitted with a smile. "wouldn't want you to end up like me and Fay! we're apparently 'off our rockers'... at least that's what people tell us." he admitted with an impish grin and a cackle. "and it's really not asking much. we need someone like you." he admitted. "we've managed so far, but only because we hire a new maid, and cook every time we change locations." he admitted with a small sigh. "which is a pain in the ass really... we keep getting robbed." he grumbled before he paused and turned to blink at Akira. "...Ki... did you get fired?" he asked, not even realizing he'd given the other a weird little nickname. "we got you fired, didn't we?" he asked, looking mortified. "i am SO sorry..." he muttered, scrubbing his face. "don't tell Fay... he'll feel terrible about it." he grumbled as he shook his head. "i'll get a hiring contract in the morning." he muttered. "we can discuss wages and benefits over lunch.... after we bring Fay home. i don't want him in that hospital any longer than he has to be." he muttered with a shake if his head. "one of the nurses might try to seduce him."

"well... he's better at people than i am, though neither of us is 'Good' with them... he has an eye for locations more or less. he's very skilled in knowing when something is going to be a big hit, or a disaster." he admitted with a smile. "and he always knows where the best place to build a new building is going to be. we don't particularly need to be good with people to buy and build after all." he admitted simply. "and that's all we really do is buy businesses and build businesses as well as offer loans for a part of the profit." he admitted before grinning at the other. "and i would DIE for a hot shower!" he admitted snickering. "Fay's probobly gettign a sponge bath from a hot, big boobed nurse who has no idea why he's not staring at her knockers." that said he put away the last of the dried dishes and followed Akira to the bedroom, helping make the beds before he stripped off his shirt and tossed it into the hamper before kicking off his shoes and socks before going into the bathroom. giving Akira a very nice long look of perfect body and muscle.

Akira bit his lip "I...well, yeah, sorta. It was more of a 'It's not good for business' kind of thing. And no, no you didn't. My boss got me fired and that's that, I don't want either of you blaming yourselves." he said and frowned as Dresen said not to tell Faylin "Yeah...that's probably the best, I didn't really want you to find out either, but...I mean, I figured you two would figure it out." he shrugged and sighed, "It's not a huge deal. Or anything like that. I just, I don't know, I was hoping that they were better than that." he muttered. Akira chuckled at the thought of Fay being seduced by a nurse "Poor Fay...." he shook his head "Though I'm sure if they have him just as drugged up he'll spurt out that he's gay...most of the nurses don't care." he said, thinking "They should leave him be and keep it secret." he said.

He was a bit shocked when Dresen said they weren't good with people. "Well, I suppose that makes sense, but don't you need to be good with people in order to do business?" He asked, looking a bit confused, "Never mind, I'm sure I'll never understand business, but I do know men." he chuckled, "I know men ver-" he stopped, looking up as Dresen stripped his shirt off. He bit his lip and attempted to look away, but it wasn't working. He kept staring and when the shoes and socks came off, that's what his eyes finally looked away. He was praying that Dresen wasn't going to get completely naked in front of him. "Um..right, here." he said and moved over to the closet and grabbed a towel, "Did you bring a change of clothes?" he asked, glancing over, but keeping his eyes down, just knowing he would stare again. "I don't think I would have anything that would fit you." he explained and moved over, handing him the towel. "I mean...some of my brother's old stuff might..." he bit his lip and headed back over to the closet "If you want it that is."

he snorted a little. "we'll tell Fay you quite after your boss made comments." he decided with a nod. "then he will be angry at your boss instead of himself." he decided with a small grin. "and you're right, we would have found out eventually, but at least this way you'll get a much better job. all of our employees are taken care of very well, even the ones not working directly under us." he admitted. "in any case, Fay should be amused once he's not so drugged up anymore." he pointed out with a little smirk. "in any case, i doubt they're going to engage him in too much of a conversation." he admitted. "and he only admitted to being gay in the first place because he has a bit of a crush on you." he admitted with a grin. "and while being good with people is certainly a good thing... well, it's not NEEDED when you have as much money as we do. so long as we're polite, no one cares that we don't engage in small talk."

he paused as the other went silent and smirked a little to himself as he paused to stretch, groaning as he did so, well aware that the light would ripple across his body just so, and his muscles would flex just right. "yes i brought clothes." he promised with a small smile. "thank you though." he stated simply. "i'll see you in a bit alright?" he offered, stepping into the bathroom and shutting the door, snickering softly to himself as he started up the water. ten minutes later the water turned off and Dresen took his time drying off and then paused as he realized he'd forgotten to bring his extra clothes with him. "crap!" but... that could be a blessing in disguise. he wrapped the towel tightly around his hips and picked up his pants, folding them up in such a way that it would be very obvious that he hadn't been wearing underwear, and stepped out of the bathroom and glanced at Akira. "i forgot to take my change of clothes with me." he stated, little drops of water trailing along his skin, his wet hair laying across his skin, clinging to him like his towel was. granted he was holding it up with one hand, but that was beyond the point.

Akira blushed a bit thinking about Fay having a crush on him and only more when he watched the light ripple across Dresen's body. He nodded quickly as the other stepped off towards the bathroom. Akira muddled about the room and fixed things up a bit, attempting to make the room look even nicer than it already did. He heard the door and looked over it, his eyes locking on the towel and then running up his body and skin. He licked his lips and bit the inside of his cheek. He couldn't help but stare, "Huh?" he asked, finally glancing up to Dresen's face "Uh..oh right!" he said and hurried over to where Dresen had left his stuff and riffled through it. He grabbed some clothes and moved over handing them to Dresen. He kept his eyes down, though that didn't seem to help much as his eyes were stuck on the towel and the one hand holding it up. "H-here. Go get wet..dressed! I mean dressed." he said, blushing a bit more. He turned around quickly and waved over his shoulder "I'll, I'll um, leave you be." he muttered.

Akira could feel his heart pounding in his chest and something stirring inside of him. He chewed on his lip, not being able to believe it that he was having a bit of a crush on the brothers as well. He stopped at the door, blinking as he thought to himself. Brothers? Plural. He licked his lips and blushed a bit more. He had a crush on both of the brothers and he just admitted it to himself, hopefully he could keep that secret. Though he seemed to be a bit of a blabber mouth around the two men. He glanced over his shoulder, just to take a quick peak of the man behind him. There was no harm in looking right? Even if he was embarrassed to admit it.
