Worst Moives You've Ever or WILL NEVER See

In general Superman, to me at least since I was raised by a long time Superman fan, is an american icon. That much is a given, besides that perhaps you don't see a way in making him interesting due to his story being practically retold again and again in common movies that may or may not have the same premise. Don't forget that, when Superman... IN GENERAL appeared for the first time, people flipped out with excitement, leading up to today the same excitement has sort of died down if not has been put up to ridiculous expectations. I will admit that the story of it in general could have been better, though I imagine that the movie itself tried to cram so much story into it at once, similarly to how the first movie in 'The Dark Knight' series dared to do in general. To not just introduce 'Batman' or in this case 'Superman' to those who've just now seen him, but to those who don't know his story too well. Plus the 'humanization' of Superman is more of a metaphor that wishes to be drawn out in a visual sense, think about it in general, Superman himself, though he has a character of course, also is meant to be a character that's supposed to show people that any person, any single person can become great with a potential that exists in everyone. I mean hell in the original movies, they practically assaulted you with the same idea, but in a way that was more 'oral' like with Superman's 'Space Dads' speech.

Eh, forgive me at this point since I feel like I've rambled, feel free to pick out what little decently well argued bits exist here. Again this is my opinion, and of course I didn't entirely argue against your opinion, as I said early on that you may have not had the same 'vigor' for Man of Steel, due to the 'Superman' ideal or idea, having been repeated again and again.

Man of Steel was great. It made up for that "Mary Sue" centric travesty of justice the WB/CW ran for ten awful years... just my opinion there.

I'm gonna second The Host, and add in Twilight for two movies I'll never see. I fully know what they're about as I read up on them on Wikipedia just to see what all the hooplah was about and god, do they sound freaking horrendous.

And I'll toss in one more. Warm Bodies. Now, I've liked zombie stuff since I was little and first played Resident Evil, but the book/movie has one of the dumbest plots I've ever heard. I'm fine with works of fiction that add in twists to the usual zombie stuff, but what Warm Bodies does with it........good....freaking........lord.....

I dunno, Phoenix. I actually heard Warm Bodies was pretty good, even if the whole 'Zombies that aren't too decomposed can turn human again' bullshit. Then again, I could be biased given that I think John Malkovich is the freaking man.... Even if the only semi-human intelligence he can make a connection with is SIRI.

A few people have mentioned Man of Steel, I have seen it and sadly the things I liked about the film weren't focused on too much, I liked the idea that he was a loner on Earth for a while, seeing how he came to terms with being different etc. That to me was interesting and something we haven't seen much of in previous Superman films. The parts that I could have done with less of were the Krypton scenes which just seemed to drag on and on and I found the final battle scene to be really long and dull as well. Overall a film that went for at least 45 mins longer than it should have.

I really like John Malkovish too, but the whole premise of that movie/book is just too beyond stupid for me. And the previews of the movie certainly didn't look like something I'd ever find good. Even when I see previews for a movie I don't plan to see, I'll still usually look it up on Wikipedia after it's release to catch myself up on the current movies since I don't really go out to a theatre except very rarely. Just seeing the previews, I thought it looked bad. Then when I read up on the plot......yea, that just cemented it for me.

The events in the Krypton scenes at the start of the film played out really weird, if you ask me. I mean, you find out later in the film that Kryptonians are genetically engineered to fill a predetermined role in their society. Zod a soldier, Jor-el a scientist, etc..... So, you would think that Zod should be a rather badass fighter. Yet, what happens when he fights Jor-el? Gets his ass handed to him with little effort.

Then, shortly after that his big take over just......suddenly ends. Sure, they didn't show every little event that happened, but it seemed to me that he and his people had it pretty well in hand up to his confrontation with Jor-el. Then, when he comes out, it's pretty much just "Zoinks! You lose!"

Repo! The Genetic Opera is the worst movie I've ever seen by such a wide margin it's laughable. There's absolutely nothing about it that's unique, sincere, or thought-out. It's a horrific mess that was created with the intent of luring the Hot Topic crowd by marketing itself as a "cult classic" prior to its release. How shallow and corporate can you get?

You have to wonder if that was yet another swipe at Fascist era Germany, the genetically engineered warrior defeated by the scientist, the genetically focused society crumbling and dying etc etc

It all felt very preachy to me, and yet then you have this Superman arrive on Earth and become persecuted by all those racist humans because his is different. Ho hum..

2012 is probably my worst, maybe a few of robin Williams movies from 2006ish

So did I! I found 2012 stupid nor clear to the point... :-/

I never watched it.. nor The Day After Tomorrow.. or any of those films that are nothing more than "eco-pocalypse" propaganda.

There's some movies that I find so stupid to publish even when their not real, or deals with things ending...like the "world coming to an end". -_-

Well, not every one of those can be Zombieland.... most of them end up like that artsy fart film that had those Loonies in the snow bound house or something... (that is another one I will never watch).

Zombieland doesn't really count for me, because I don't watch it so doesn't matter. shrugs.

I will say that it had to happen at least. If Zod had of taken out Jor-el as easily as he should have, then he'd have killed or captured baby Clark, Krypton would still be destroyed, and Superman would never come to be. Just that I think there were much better and believable ways ways to do it than have Jor-el easily best him in hand to hand combat.

If anyone were to ever ask the people that made the movie, I can think of 2 crappy reasons they'd likely give to try and explain it.

1. Jor-el was fighting to protect his newborn son. Combine that with adrenaline, blah blah blah, insert more BS.
2. Zod held back because they were old friends.

I would need to say the Dungeons and Dragons movies were pretty horrible, but so bad they were good if only to amuse me with how bad they were.

Another bad movie I have seen was Mega Quake. The ending was literally the quake chasing them and the humans using a satellite based freezing laser to make it stop right near the protagonist's house. That one I was not amused with so much as mortified.

While I don't know what "Mega Quake" is, nor will I ever try to find out, I SO TOTALLY AGREE on the first DnD movie (will not watch the second). The highlights of the movie (yes there were some) were by the three female leads (Thora Birch, Zoe McLellan, Kristen Wilson), while only Jeremy Irons pulled off being better than an over the top porn star in his role.

By no means am I saying I dislike Quentin Tarantino's work (far from it, actually- I'm a huge fan) but whereas I enjoyed Pulp Fiction immensely.... I dunno, maybe its just me but nearly every scene I involving Uma Thurman was... Meh. Didn't like them, they felt too clumsy and slow and plodding and.... Ugh. By no means am I saying I prefer it in his other films where a character goes on about nothing that feel important (the scene in the French Cafe in Inglorious Basterds, parts of Reservoir Dogs, etc) but I mean, really, something about Uma just....

She almost put me to sleep. Given that this was a movie that starred John Travolta in his heyday AND Samuel L. Jackson, I gotta give it up- Ms. Thurman managed to bore me senseless whenever er she was on screen, something that's not easy to do given who her costars were.

Worst movie that I've ever seen? Oh, that's easy. It would be "Thankskilling", hands down.

Worst movie that I will never see? "Homo With a Shotgun" - Saw it on Netflix under horror and the only thing that could cross my mind was, "What the fuck!? No. Just no."

I do like several movies with Julia Roberts in them, but the three I regret ever seeing, and never will see again, are:

My Best Friend's Wedding
Runaway Bride
Mona Lisa Smile

Total priv-lit/priv-flick tripe.

Having said that.. I restate that I would rather perform a self-castration with a dull butter knife than see Eat, Pray, Love.
