Important Information for Back Drop:

Main Solar System - The Lumos System (the solar system within the Hera Galaxy and setting of the RP). It is comprised of 12 planets. The 4 closest to the sun are often called the 'inner sanctum' and are also heavily ruled by interplanetary government known as The Illuminati. The outer 8 planets, though also ruled by The Illuminati, their rule isn't enforced and is often times overlooked entirely given their distance from the 'inner sanctum' where much of their ruling houses are located. The outer most 2 planets, known as 'barbaric rim' by the illuminati, whereas the locals call it the fringe. Meaning both the fringe of society and the outer fringes of the solar system are the most primitive of the 12 planets and are also where outlaws tend to make their havens and homes given proximity to the 'inner sanctum' and rough terrain making it easier to hide and stay off grid to The Illuminati.

The Illuminati - It is a fanatical interplanetary government ruling the 12-planet solar system (the setting of the story). It's heaviest and most thorough rule is on the 4 planets closest to the sun, often called the 'inner sanctum'. Since the outer 8 planets are so much farther away in comparison to the 'inner sanctum', they often times let things slide to a degree as far as law though they do have representatives present on each of the planets to help keep some semblance of control. However, given that those representatives are so cut off from civilization and the 'inner sanctum' itself, they tend to turn a blind eye more often than not and to degrees that even The Illuminati themselves are hardly aware.

The Inner Sanctum - The 4 planets closest to the sun and most heavily ruled by The Illuminati. Interplanetary law is upheld entirely here and if broken, punishments are swift and harsh.

The Barbaric Rim - The outermost 2 planets of the solar system. Each planet has a set of representatives of The Illuminati, but communication between them is more or less nil. They turn a blind eye completely to all Illuminati Law thus making them almost anarchical in how they are governed. As such, both planets are overrun with outlaws and mercenaries and pirates.

The Middle 6 Planets - Each planet has a set of representatives of The Illuminati, but communication between them is not the best. Some laws are upheld and some are not and all tend to be at the discretion and mercy of the official(s) on duty/present should their intervention be needed.

The Planets (from sun to the Barbaric Rim.):

Helios ~ 'inner sanctum'; highly populated; cities, etc., populated areas tend to have more daylight hours than darkness.

Themis ~ 'inner sanctum'; highly populated; cities, etc.

Hemera ~ 'inner sanctum'; moderately populated; mix of cities and rural areas, provides the 'inner sanctum' planets with a lot of produce and livestock. A frequent vacation spot for the wealthy members of the Illuminati, its forests and beaches are highly prized.

Ananke ~ 'inner sanctum'; small population; primarily rural, wooded terrain filled with fearsome creatures and poisonous plants. Where the less rich members of the Illuminati, or those would be adventure seekers, go for their vacations. It is Illuminati controlled adventure for those not brave enough to travel elsewhere where real danger could be found.

Dragonia ~ 'middle six'; highly populated; cities, etc, mountainous, dragon-like creatures are indigenous to the planet. The plannets weaker gravity has allowed these bat like lizards to grow to large sizes. The humans living on this world are typically taller than the standard human norm. This of any of the middle six most idolizes the Illuminati Elite and resents the fact that they are so close yet will never be good enough for the Illuminati. Some believe this is where true revolution will spark.

Gorgyra ~ 'middle six'; small population; the surface of the planet is mainly ash and typically cold, inhabitants tend to live underground in caves and caverns along with the creatures indigenous to the planet. Heavily mined by Individuals of Dragonia and the Inner Sanctum, this world did not have the population to defend its right to not be used up like Dragonia did, Where as Dragonia could stand up to the Illuminati to prevent their world from being exploited, this could not.

Nephelai ~ 'middle six'; moderately populated; a mix of cities and rural areas, provides the 'middle six' planets with a lot of produce and livestock. Was deemed too valuable to Dragonia and the other 6 to be exploited so is fairly pristine, free of pollution or mining that destroyed the surface of Gorgyra.

Thalassa ~ 'middle six'; moderately populated; has cities located both underwater and above water since most of the planet is made up of water.

Lamia ~ 'middle six'; one of the two gas Giants in the Lumos system, the population lives on the single large moon that is habitable. It is a jungle, although much colder than any typical jungle, and the walls are fortified to protect the residents from both plant and animal, either of which can be deadly.

Erebos ~ 'middle six'; the second of Lumos’s gas giant planets, population are spread out in pockets on the 4 habitable moons. Gas mining is the primary draw here, and the only reason people live on the moons here, for the term habitable is rather loosely used here.

Asteroid Belt ~ Beyond the outermost gas giant, before the fringe planets known as the Barbaric Rim, this is a field of asteroids high in metals and minerals, it serves as a home to lots of mines, and as well as havens for smugglers and pirates. The placing of this belt suggests that the two fringe planets Acheron and Charon were rogue planetoids picked up by Lumos’s sun eons ago.

Acheron ~ 'barbaric rim'; small population, piracy runs rampant just as it does on a few of the 'middle six' planets, harsher terrain. It is a dessert wasteland, if ground this cold can truly be called a desert. It has been highly exploited by mining, and the majority of its inhabitants that aren’t criminals are minors that typically work in the asteroid belt.

Charon ~ 'barbaric rim'; small population, piracy runs rampant just as it does on a few of the 'middle six' planets, harsher terrain. From icy plains to rocky wastelands this planet is cold, harsh, and unforgiving… rather like its inhabitants. The majority of its population that are not criminals are minors or scientists looking outward from the solar system.

Character Profile:
(RP'd by The_Gladiator)

Name: Halmir Quinn
Nickname: Hal
Birthday/Age: 30 years old
Birth Planet: Helios (but currently resides on Charon as a representative of the Illuminati)
Race: Human
Role: Representative of the Illuminati for the planet Charon
Hair Color: Auburn
Eye Color: Golden
Weight: 200 lbs.
Height: 6'0"
Basic Physical Description: Tall, toned, medium build.
Other Features: None.
Personality: Cold, calculating, self-serving, cruel, sadistic, ambitious, driven.
History: Hal grew up on Helios. Being the son of an Illuminati elite, he was well versed in how they worked in trying to obtain power, control and other such things over the system. He also understood that it didn't stop there, that they wanted to expand and eventually take over the entirety of the Hera Galaxy. In his younger days, he spent some time taking care of and watching out for--albeit quite reluctantly, at least from his perspective--his younger cousin, Laelestra (Laela), who looked up to him. He never forgot how much she looked up to him either, information he stored away as he got older and seriously corrupted by the ways of the Illuminati thus feeding into his hunger for power. Eventually, he followed the path his father set before him and rose through the ranks on Helios. When he reached his plateau, his father pleaded he be given position in ruling one of the 12 planets. The Illuminati eventually agreed, via majority vote (a vote based on the Illuminati's fear of Hal's volatile nature and somewhat impulsive behavior to rise too quickly to power), to allow him rule over planet Charon--the planet farthest from Helios and of least concern to the Illuminati in many ways. Hal wasn't overly pleased with the decision, but he accepted it. After being stationed out there for a few years, he recalled his cousin Laela and just how much she looked up to him. Seeing that she is Illuminati blood (and family), he decides to indulge her when she suddenly plans a visit to the desolate planet located far away from her homeworld. His plan is to seduce her in hopes that she'll have sway in convincing her father and other Illuminati elite that he be placed closer to Helios. But when her ship never arrives, he wonders if his plans are lost entirely or… if they'll merely have to be altered...
Family: He is the son of Jace and Carys Quinn. Jace is one of the Illuminati elite on planet Helios. It was through him that Hal traversed the path he did in rising through the political ranks on Helios. When his son reached his plateau, he requested he receive a position governing one of the planets of the system. The Illuminati agreed as a majority that he would be sent to Charon.
Likes: Power, getting his way.
Dislikes: Being ignored, being underestimated, being chastised and/or patronized.
Fears: Staying on Charon forever; never ruling anything more than a Barbaric Rim planet.
Best Memory(ies): Being recognized as a political figure within the Illuminati who gets things done.
Worst Memory(ies): Realizing he might end up on Charon forever.
Favorite Color(s): Blue, orange.
Sexual Orientation: Straight, dominant, experienced.

Character Profile
Player: Gladiator

Name: Captain Jason Benson
Nickname: Jace, Jay, Captain.
Age: 28 standard years old
Birth place: Deep Space aboard a space freighter. He calls the Lady Wind his home these days.
Race: Human.
Role: Captain of the freighter Ladywind.
Hair color: black.
Eye color: hazel.
Weight: 180
Height: 5’10”
Basic physical description: On the shorter side of average height, he is solidly built; well fit muscles built rom hard work and exercise. He wears his hair in a spacers cut, equal length, just the right style to fit comfortably under a helmet if needed. Although he refuses to wear it military regulation short even if it would be more practical to do so.
Other features: rarely to be seen far from his ship or his sidearm, he jokes that the Lady Wind and his blaster are the only women he needs in his life permanently.
Personality: independent, respectful, fair but takes no bullshit save his own or those who are close to him. He dislikes authority and does his best to thumb his nose at it any chance he can get. He has his own moral code he lives by.
History: Jace grew up among the stars. He was born on a freighter, he works on a freighter, he will probably die on a freighter or so he says. He makes his living as a cargo hauler. He owns his own ship and takes contracts from whoever will hire him. His work runs from the completely legal to the shady. He has had dealings with everyone from the Illuminati to the crimelords of Charon to the rebels of Gorgyra. He once had a torrid love affair with Ariana Silver, a known rebel sympathizer, and native of Gorgyra. The brief but intense affair ended when Jace refused to fall in whole heartedly with the rebels. Jace is a pragmatist, he is not opposed to helping them when there is a profit margin involved, or when it is convenient but refuses to take orders not from the Illuminati, not from the crime bosses and not from the rebel leaders either. The one thing Jace will not transport is slaves. Slavery is present on all 12 worlds of the Lumos system, although technically outlawed by the Illuminati. On the inner sanctum worlds the practice is hidden well, disguised by a sham of indentured servitude, while on the fringe and even some of the midland worlds it is much more obvious. There are some lines that even Jace won’t cross.
Likes: Having a drink at a bar. Money, flying.
Dislikes: Authority, people that can’t pull their own weight…those who think the world is perfect.
Fears: being alone, yet also fears commitment.
Best Memory (ies): The night he won the Lady Wind in a competition, a daring life endangering sporting event which involved skills from piloting to marksmanship.
Worst memory (ies): Watching his father get hauled off to an illuminati prison for running Antibiotics to the wounded rebels on Gorgyra. Knowing his father would never see the light of day again, if he was not outright executed on the spot. Watching his mother descend into depression after they lost his father and eventually getting word from a family friend that his mother had eaten a gun barrel and he was now an orphan.
Favorite colors: he has no real opinion on the subject.
Sexual orientation: Straight.

Mac joined the military at a young age, following his family’s legacy. It is said in the inner sanctum that Helios makes the laws; Themis enforces those laws, Hemera Grows the food, and Ananke houses the criminals, those criminals that are not sent to the mines of the midlands, asteroid belt, or the fringe worlds, that is. Mac became well known as a sniper and 8 years ago was sent to Gorgyra to take part in the suppression of the latest Gorgyran rebellion. It is there that Mac loses Cass his partner and spotter, she is lost to a fragmentation grenade, never knowing if it was a rebel or if she’d suffered from friendly fire. She tends Mac’s wound not knowing what else to do when even injured he protects her from retaliation by his fellow soldiers. Unlikely companions, the two learned much of each other. Upon hearing the true horors of what his fellow soldiers did to her mother and other women of their peaceful settlement, Mac deserts the army and never looks back. Likes: fighting for justice. Being protective of Ariana. Weaponry and technology as well as martial arts.
Dislikes: Misuse of women, most of the Illuminati. It is a love hate relationship for him, for he distrusts them now, hates them for the things he’s seen done in the Illuminati’s name, however his family are all part of the Illuminati aristocracy. Dislikes being lied to or deceived.

Worst memory(ies): Watching his former partner Cass get blown up right before his eyes. Listening to Ariana’s story of what was done to her mother and older sister by his fellow soldiers.
Favorite colors: none.
Sexual Orientation: Straight typically dominant.

Character Profile:
(RP'd by darkangel76)

Name: Raisa Marceyne
Nickname: None
Birthday/Age: 26 years old
Birth Planet: Themis (moved to Dragonia at age 12 after her family lost their wealth and status within the ranks of the Illuminati)
Race: Human
Role: Bounty Hunter/Mercenary, her alliance is to no one but herself
Hair Color: Blonde
Eye Color: Blue
Weight: 130 lbs.
Height: 5'7"
Basic Physical Description: On the taller side, slim, toned, hourglass shape, B-cup breasts.
Other Features: Vertical scar along her left shoulder blade.
Personality: Tends toward apathy when it comes to alliances of politics, her thoughts being that allying yourself with one side over another just gets you in trouble so its best to just look out for your own ass since no one else will; always out to prove her worth (whether to others or to herself or both is questionable); fiery and stubborn; fiercely loyal to those she loves.
History: Raisa was born on Themis and spent her childhood years on the Illuminati-run planet. Her family was wealthy and of the noble class, avid supporters and heavy into the political arena. Though not of direct Illuminati blood, her family was held in fairly high regard until the unfortunate day her family made the poor decision to invest their assets with an official that lost favor with the Illuminati, thus rendering them nearly penniless as well as disgracing them with the Illuminati in general. Having no other alternative but to leave, her family fled to the planet Dragonia and it was there that they suddenly changed their tune and took up with the rebels. Raisa found the sudden changes in her parents' alliances confusing and the fact that those ruling the system could sway favor so quickly more than disheartening. However, she took advantage of her new situation and learned what she could from the rebels of Dragonia as far as weaponry and firearms and combat were concerned. It was easy enough since her parents didn't pay her much mind. They were far too wrapped up in their political affairs to notice or care that their daughter was slowly refining herself into an apathetic mercenary.
Family: She is the daughter of Kavan and Hypatia Marceyne, former supporters of the Illuminati, turned rebels on Dragonia.
Likes: Successfully completing her jobs, long walks.
Dislikes: Being ignored/overlooked, being lied to, being told she's not good enough.
Fears: That she'll forever feel 'empty'.
Best Memory(ies): The day her father noticed her injury on her shoulder blade as it was the only time he ever really took notice of anything about her.
Worst Memory(ies): Accepting the fact that her parents didn't give a damn about her.
Favorite Color(s): Blue, purple.
Sexual Orientation: Straight, very submissive, experienced.

Character Profile:
(RP'd by darkangel76)

Name: Laelestra Quentin
Nickname: Laela
Birthday/Age: 20 years old
Birth Planet: Helios
Race: Human
Role: Civilian (cousin of Halmir Quinn)
Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Blue
Weight: 115 lbs.
Height: 5'0"
Basic Physical Description: On the shorter side, slim, toned, hourglass shape, B-cup breasts.
Other Features: None.
Personality: Shy, emotional, impulsive, craves touch, sheltered, somewhat attention seeking.
History: Laela grew up on Helios wanting for nothing and believing that The Illuminati was there for the betterment of the entire solar system. She was taught she should be proud to have relations among them and feel fortunate to be a part of the Inner Sanctum rather than one of the Middle Six or Barbaric Rim. As such, she was very sheltered and most of what happened outside of the Inner Sanctum (and even Helios itself) from a political perspective was kept from her. Despite her life of luxury, Laela lived a life of isolation. Being an only child and a girl, she wasn't allowed to venture away from her home let alone off Helios itself. Interactions with others were few and far between and also quite cherished. At the age of 10, her cousin, Halmir Quinn, spent a year with the family--a time that sticks in her memory since it was the only time in which she felt she ever truly received attention from another. Of course, perceptions are in the eye of the beholder, but from her point of view the memories were fond ones even though Halmir only paid her any mind due to being told he had no choice. Ten years later--long after leaving the Quentin residence--Hal eventually received a post on the planet Charon. Curious to finally see life outside of Helios and desperate to prolong the inevitable courtships and possible marriages her parents have planned for her, she asks permission to go on a trip to visit him. On the trip, the ship ends up crashing somewhere on the planet's surface. It is presumed she is either dead (or kidnapped), however she manages to survive.
Family: She was the only daughter to Jareth and Sherylindria Quentin (both of whom die when her vessel approaching Charon crashes upon landing). Her family is Illuminati.
Likes: Reading, sunrises, the water.
Dislikes: Being ignored, being yelled at, being lied to.
Fears: Insects, storms.
Best Memory(ies): The year that Hal spent time with her family.
Worst Memory(ies): Realizing she was nothing more than an object.
Favorite Color(s): Purple, red, pink.
Sexual Orientation: Straight, very submissive, little experience.

Character Profile (created by The_Gladiator)
Player: DarkAngel76

Name: Ariana Silver
Nickname: Ari, Ana, Anne, Avenger.
Age: 26
Birthplace: Gorgyra
Race: Human
Role: Rebel. Fighter, trained in various skills, including serving as Mac’s spotter, and lots of undercover work with Mac as her back up.
Hair Color: Red
Eye Color: blue green
Weight: 160
Height: 5’4”
Basic Physical description: Ariana has grown up from the skinny 18-year-old that first met Mac 8 years previously. She has put on weight since then, weight that has filled out her gentle curves that cover her athletic form. With D cup breasts and an hour glass figure she hardly resembles the starving youth she once was.
Other features: rarely goes unarmed, she almost always has at least one blade hidden somewhere on her body.
Personality: Passionate, animated. She is the total opposite of her typical partner Mac. She has been shaped by the hardship of her life and her quick wit and charming personality hide her inner feelings.
History: Born the daughter of displaced rebels from Dragonia, Ariana grew up thinking that she lived in a simple town underground on Gorgyra. Her parents had insolated her from their pasts; let the child grow up without the stigma that followed them wherever they went. Popular with her friends in school, Ariana had 3 siblings, an older sister and 2 younger brothers. Ariana was 18 when the Illuminati made an example of her village to punish the insurgent rebels on Gorgyra. To this day she has only told one individual the entirety of what she saw during that slaughter and the war that followed. Thousands died in the initial attack where Ariana watched as unspeakable things were done to her mother and sister, before soldiers killed them both before her eyes, stabbing both women to death with the sewing sheers that were tools of her mother’s dress shop. Ariana had been hiding in the loft above the store with her then boyfriend. She had watched, no way to do anything to help her mother or sister. When the soldiers left she and the young boy left the store. As they were making their way to their houses her boyfriend is killed by a slug rifle from one of the soldiers, who walked up to the two and shot him in the head point blank. Ariana to this day does not remember how she managed to get way; it is all such a blur. She found herself alone on the streets with just the clothes on her back, and for some reason she cannot remember, no shoes. She fights to survive on her own, clutching a knife that she took from one of the dead soldiers. It is weeks later when she first meets Mac. She sees the sniper coolly carrying out his duties and resolves this will be the first blow she strikes back. However even as she starts to cut his throat after getting the drop on him, a lucky chance that provides her the opportunity to get her revenge. She is unable to kill him, even though she tries. Some of Mac’s fellow soldiers spot her and she is forced to duck for cover aborting her attempt to take Mac’s life. Having run her off, Mac’s fellow soldiers abandon him, either for dead, or thinking he is alright. However, Ariana cannot just leave him. She feels remorse for what she has done and helps him. She realized even as the knife bit into his flesh that taking this man’s life wouldn’t bring back her mother and sister.
The two exchange their stories and upon learning the true atrocities committed by his fellow soldiers Mac deserts the IAF and the two stay together. Ariana looks up to Mac, he is everything she wishes she could be, calm under fire, level headed, not impulsive at all, not to mention an extremely capable warrior. Ariana learns all she knows about fighting from Mac; however it soon becomes apparent that each has their own unique strengths. The first mission they completed together was to rescue her younger brothers from a prison camp on Gorgyra, safely delivering them to the relatives she still has on Dragonia. On Dragonia Ariana and Mac learn of her parents involvement with the rebels. The two join and begin performing missions together. Both are separated now, on separate assignments, Mac assigned by the rebel high command to protect a woman who is important to two members of the high command. Ariana herself is stationed to keep an eye on Halmir Quinn.
Other Relationships: Ariana had a brief but intense love affair with Jace Benson, but when the freelance smuggler refused to join the rebels Ariana ended the relationship unable to be with someone who would not commit to a cause.
Likes: Music and dancing since both occupy the mind and both invoke emotion and passion.
Dislikes: Lack of opinion, lack of commitment, arrogance, ignorance.
Fears: complete loss of control.
Best memory (ies): She has many good memories of her childhood, sheltered in her parent’s love. The day she learned her brothers were still alive, and the day she, with Mac’s help, rescued both her little brothers.
Worst Memory (ies): Watching her mother and sister gang raped and murdered before her eyes. Watching her childhood best friend and boyfriend get shot in the head in front of her. Learning that her father died in an Illuminati prison camp before she could rescue him.
Favorite colors: Green, red.
Sexual Orientation: Straight, switch—often submissive, has experience.
