This is My Girlfriend… the hooker
By Whimsical'sCadence and The Gladiator

Daniel “Dan” Thompson paced in his hotel room glaring at the phone in his hand. A part of him hoped that his irritation with the person on the other end didn’t translate into his tone of voice.

“No Mom, I just came into the city tonight, I’m at my hotel now… … no Mom I don’t want to come out to the house tonight… … yes I know my old room is still there.” Dan would have to spend days with his family, in that very room. There was no need to begin the “torture” any sooner than necessary.

“You know how I am Mom, I like my space that’s why I moved away… … yes mom I know this is a very important wedding … … yes I haven’t forgotten about the family reunion either… … yes I know half of the town will be at the wedding.” He rolled his eyes, even more reason not to go there tonight. The town was not very big and if he did he would have to see everyone and he already had a big old weekend full of the whole fam damnly to look forward to. “”Mom, my girlfriend and I haven’t had a night to ourselves in a while, both our schedules have been very busy.” He said trying to make up a plausible excuse for why he wasn’t going out to the old homestead tonight. “Yes Mom I brought my girlfriend, you’ll get to meet her tomorrow I promise.” He assured his mother and finally was able to get off the phone.

Taking a deep breath Dan let it out slowly. He sat down on the edge of the bed telling himself he had to relax. Some of what he told his mother was true; some of it was a lie. He was meeting his “Girlfriend” tonight. However she really wasn’t his girlfriend and it hadn’t been a long time since they had seen one another. In actuality, Dan had placed a call into a high class escort service to hire a woman to come in and be his date. This wedding was a big deal. His oldest brother, the Mayor of their little town was getting married. There would then be a family reunion the next day, and probably bunches of other get togethers surrounding this one huge wedding. Dan of course was expected to be there. Despite the fact that he lived a state away, he was still expected to come home for the occasion. One might ask why Dan was so reluctant, Dan loved his family, but he didn’t always like them. For one they constantly tried to get him to date tons of girls, they all wanted to know why he didn’t have a girlfriend. They didn’t like the excuse that he was busy with work, and they didn’t like the excuse he was awkward around women either. The truth was he had had some bad experiences with some bad girlfriends and just given up. He had chosen to hire the escort both because he needed a date for this all important wedding, and it would silence his family about why didn’t he have a girlfriend.

She was due to arrive any moment. They would have this Friday night to get to know one another to perfect their act so to speak, to become boyfriend and girlfriend, before the big day.

Dan tried not to mess up his neatly brushed brown hair. He was still in his business suit, figuring that it would make a better impression on the woman he was meeting than the jeans or sweatpants he longed to be in. His green eyes flicked from his watch to the door. He had never met an escort before; he wondered what she would be like. He also wondered how much she had been told by the person Dan had spoke to on the phone, or would he have to explain the entire situation to her. The 25 –year-old businessman made himself take a deep breath. He hoped that the woman he met would be at least his age. It would be even nicer if she was a little older, but at this point he figured he really couldn’t be picky. His watch now showed that she was 2 minutes late. He took a deep breath and tried to make himself relax, why in the world was he so nervous anyway?

Finally, Dan Heard a knock on the door to his hotel room. He called, "It's open." as he rose and walked towards the door. She would know it was open, that had been what they agreed upon over the phone, the madam and he. It would be somewhat awkward to have such "delicate" introductions done in the hallway. She was to play the role of his girlfriend, this meant playing the part even before they had actually met. They weren't escort and customer, they were dates that just arrived at different times...Dan swore under his breath, he sure hoped that didn't sound as lame to the other people at the hotel, as it did to him.

Evie Carlson, full-time legal secretary and part-time high-end escort stood before the full-length mirror in her bedroom staring at her reflection which gazed back. She hadn’t wanted to do this appointment this evening, and had been talked into it nonetheless.

“It’s only a few days, no longer than the weekend,” Sophia had told her, “And there’s no sex involved. All you have to do is pretend to be the john’s girlfriend, nothing more. Of course,” Sophia had added, “You will inform me if anything else occurs, right?”

The woman was greedy Evie thought with a chuckle, “Yes, Sophia,” She had replied, “You’ll be the first to know if anything else occurs, I promise.”

Evie adjusted the skirt, turning this way and that and wrinkled her nose at what she saw before removing the garment and dressed instead in a pair of black slacks. The white blouse she wore stayed and a smile curved her lips as she undid another button which exposed the gentle swell of her breasts. From her closet she slipped into a pair of black heels that gave her short stature of five feet an extra four inches, and grabbed a black jacket.

Auburn hair had been swept back away from her face in a loose ponytail and her blue eyes glittered like sapphires as she gave herself a wink, thinking this wouldn’t be that bad after all. Grabbing her overnight back that she had already packed, just in case, and her purse, Evie locked her apartment behind her and made her way to the front of the building, seeing that the cab had already arrived.

Giving the man the address of the hotel, Evie sat back and enjoyed the ride, letting her thoughts take her where they would. Invariably, they always ended up with her thinking that she needed to get out of this “other job” before she got caught. The last thing she needed, or the firm for that matter, was scandal and her association with such a well-known attorney firm would not keep her in good graces.

After paying the fare, Evie entered the hotel and rode the elevator to the floor where she was to meet Dan, the only name that had been provided to her. She was told not to ask any questions until after everything had been explained to her, which piqued her curiosity in more ways than one. Usually she was hired for an evening for nothing but sex, but not this time. This time the “john” was looking for something more and if it lead to sex, then so be it. Sophia didn’t have to be told everything.

Arriving at the room, Evie knocked, heard a voice tell her that the door was open and entered. For a long moment she just stood there in the threshold before stepping further into the room and closing the door behind her. Cool blue eyes assessed the man that had hired her and her lips twitched to form a smile as she moved further into the room,

“I’m Evie,” she said simply as she moved around him and sat in a chair, getting comfortable, “So, care to give me the details?” And winked at him, blue eyes losing their edge and warming as her smile grew.

The door softly clicked as the woman on the other side opened the door. Dan watched the handle turn, and then watched the woman slowly open the door. His eyes locked with hers, green eyes meeting blue as she paused in the doorway. He watched her look him over as he did the same to her.

Dan was by no means displeased. She was pretty. However, moreover she didn’t look like a hooker, whatever hookers looked like. She actually looked like a business woman easily like one of the secretaries or receptionists at his business. She was just the right mix of conservative, and sexy. The pants were more conservative than a dress, but her blouse was unbuttoned a bit showing the upper swells of her full breasts. He gave a nod of approval as she stepped farther into the room, “Hi sweetie.” He said before the door closed, just to keep up appearances. He sure hoped it hadn’t sounded as awkward as it felt to him.

He watched her move around him to go sit down. He turned to face him and offered her a hand, “I’m Dan, by the way.” He said, “It’s a pleasure to um… meet you Evie.” After introduction formalities had been observed he moved to sit on the edge of the bed facing her. He cleared his throat, “I don’t know how much you were told, but I will do my best to fill you in.” He looked down studying his long fingered hands folded on his knee for a second before his eyes flicked back up to hers, betraying his nerves and awkwardness. He took a deep breath and her warm smile softened the knot of tension in his stomach. “My family is… difficult to deal with.” He wasn’t sure this was the best place to start, but he forged ahead anywhere. “You see, there are sort of a lot of them, they all seem to have very strong opinions and are rather in everyone’s business. You could kind of say that my family runs the town of Oakshire. God, even the name of that place sounds backwards…” he chuckled. He had started speaking somewhat slowly, however his words picked up speed and momentum as he continued. “You know how it is, my brother is the mayor, my father the school super intendant of the school system, and my mother the city clerk of courts…”he trailed off sure that she was getting the picture. “My brother is getting married, this is a huge wedding…well by our towns standards…most of the town will probably be in attendance. She is the banker’s daughter, so it represents two of the biggest families in the region uniting. Since so many of our family is gathering, my Mama has organized a family reunion for the day afterward.” He took a deep breath and then continued. “Because my family is so judgmental, it would look better if I actually had a girlfriend finally, I wouldn’t be an “embarrassment to the family” whatever that means.” Here he made air quotes and was obviously imitating someone. “So I guess that’s where you come in, I was told you were the best she had to offer.” Here he blushed, “She explained in somewhat detail exactly what you are also good at.” Here he cleared his throat again, “Although that all sounded quite wonderful…ahem…What I was most interested in was your background. I see you hold a bachelor’s degree, in a similar field to my own, therefore could play the part I needed without sounding like you were faking it…although she assures me you are also the best at roleplaying, which I guess is a good thing here. Since you will be playing the role of my girlfriend.” He paused again, “As I understand it, I have paid a fee, which legally is considered to be paying you for your time spent with me. Anything we choose to do with that time is up to us? He understood that this meant she was not obligated by contract to sleep with him, although he was alright with that, that’s not why he hired her. “Do I have that part right?” he asked, “And if so, do you have any questions I know I’ve outlined a lot.” He cleared his throat again, why did he have to sound like he was lecturing in front of a classroom full of students? Perhaps it was what he was used to, having taught courses to undergraduates the whole way through his master’s program.

Evie couldn't help but smile at Dan as he looked her over as she did him. His green eyes were captivating and she believed that were she to gaze within them for any lengthy period of time, she would more than likely lose herself within their depths. Not that that was a bad thing; but Evie wasn't in this for relationships, that would come eventually. She could tell by his perusal that he liked what he saw, and recalled how only moments ago when she had entered how he had addressed her with a warm welcome that was supposed to be familiar as well as set the tone for those that happened to be passing by.

Shaking his hand had been nice, her own still felt warm and there was a tingling sensation that had begun to spread upward before it manifested itself in the pit of her belly. And as he sat on the edge of the bed, Evie took another moment to look him over. She liked what she saw; how he was dressed; his manners... almost as if he were apologetic or embarrassed for having had to call an Escort. Though Sophia had explained everything to her, she gave Dan her full attention as he began to explain what was expected of her in reference to his situation.

She understood all too well about "difficult" families, most especially mothers that believed that they would always know what was right for their children, no matter how old they were. She couldn’t help but chuckle at his description; and she understood about having family members in certain public positions. Her oldest brother was one of the Judges in the Circuit Court of Oakshire. Though Evie didn't know that his one brother was the Mayor or that his father was the Super Intendant of the school system.

It didn't bother her that it would be a huge wedding she was accustomed to various crowds as well as people and their personalities. It was how one handled each that made the difference. She wouldn't allow herself to be pushed around; nor did she allow herself to be coerced into doing something she didn't want to do. At the "air quote" gesture, Evie couldn't help but elicit a soft laugh, her eyes twinkling with amusement as he further detailed that she would be playing the role of his girlfriend.

At his pause, Evie nodded that she understood, shifting slightly in the chair to lean back and cross her legs as he finished. Blue eyes once again assessed this man before her, and she wondered why he didn't have a girlfriend or, for that matter, was still single. He was good looking; had a good job as well as career, and wondered if he was that shy, that he didn't know how to ask a girl out other than to call on an Escort Service. It wasn't any of her business, she thought, uncrossing her leg and leaning forward,

"I don't have any questions, Dan. I understand that I will be introduced as your girlfriend as well." Her head tilted to one side, the tip of her tongue glided smoothly over her lips as she sat back once again,

"The fee is, of course, legally binding and anything we... or rather you choose to do with that time is up to you. Not us, but you, since you've paid for my time." Still feeling her lips twitching in a smile that indicated she knew more than what he was letting on about himself, Evie continued,

"Did you have plans or ideas for how you wished to spend that extra time when we're not with your family, Daniel?" She asked, deciding that a girlfriend would not shorten a name, besides; she liked the sound of his at it rolled over her tongue and through her lips. Evie winked at him again when he cleared his throat, and was suddenly looking forward to this wedding, as well as spending time with Daniel... be it alone or around his family.

Dan marveled at how comfortable she seemed at least outwardly. He hoped outwardly he projected as much confidence and sexiness, for inside he felt rather dare he say it nervous uncertain. He had never done something like this before. Then he mentally kicked himself, of course she was confident and comfortable, this was her career, what she did for a living. He would never be nervous in front of a board room, for it was his place, or in front of a classroom, for he was just as comfortable there. It was the unknown that had his stomach in knots. On the other hand, she had probably done this half a hundred times.

His eyes watched her; his ears listening to her speak. She explained the fee, pretty much confirming what he had already thought. “I thought that’s how it worked, I just said us as in you, because well I’d never make you do something you did not feel comfortable with.” He held up his hands palm out as if to ward off her next words, “I know you might say it’s your job, or you’d be comfortable with anything. I just meant…” he broke off, unable to find the words to explain his gentle nature.

His attention was diverted by watching her lick her lips, a subtle movement, but one that he caught. That action and her next question, almost an innuendo such was her tone causing a slight flush of pink to tinge his cheeks. A flush that went back all the way to his ears. It was obvious exactly where his mind had gone when she had asked that. However it was not something along those lines that he suggested when he spoke.

After somewhat of an awkward silence Dan cleared his throat, “Well I uh… figured that we had all of tonight to get to know one another, to perfect our act of being a couple if you will. Discuss things like our history together, stuff like that. Because trust me we’ll get asked a lot of questions, they will ask them over and over again, they’re like police interrogators, searching for something in your story that doesn’t add up.” He said. Desperately trying to cover his slight embarrassment with his rapid words.

He had crinkled his nose slightly when she had called him Daniel, but had not objected either. Most everyone called him Dan and there were only a few that were allowed to call him Daniel, however the way she said it, the way it flowed from her full lips… somehow he kind of liked it.

“Is that ok with you?” he asked inquiring about the get to know you evening. “There’s supposed to be a nice restaurant right around the corner. Italian I think.” He said after another slight pause. “Does that sound ok, or did you have something else in mind for us to do?” here he fought to not sound nervous or make that last sentence an innuendo either. Dan sure hoped he wasn’t coming off as an idiot or inexperienced novice. Yes he had dated before, although to his eyes he had never been good at it, and it had been quite some time. “Maybe you can show me how a boyfriend is supposed to act.” He teased. Although, with his manners it was hard to believe that he did not know how to treat a woman, he most likely did, he just seemed a bit tense and not comfortable relaxing and being himself around her.

Evie was usually comfortable no matter who she was with, or where she was. She didn't have a great love of "people" in general, and she liked to think that had become a pretty good judge of character along the way. More so since she'd begun her "second job" as Escort. Sometimes she would enter the room and immediately feel the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end; or the hairs on her arms; her belly would tighten and suddenly churn as if she had just entered a very evil place that was the "john's" private sanctuary.

She applied the same principles at her real job as well, and more often than not, that initial instinct that guided her, had been proven correct. But with Daniel, there was no sense of urgency to flee his presence. He appeared extremely laid back and was very polite. And as she continued to watch him, she couldn't help but wonder if they weren't thinking the same thing. Evie flashed him another smile that was warm and genuine, hoping it would allow him to at least calm his nerves. It wasn't hard to discern that he was just a little bit antsy.

“I thought that’s how it worked, I just said us as in you, because well I’d never make you do something you did not feel comfortable with.”
Evie arched a brow at that, refraining from saying anything when he held up his hands, indicating that he was aware that she might say it was her job or that she'd be comfortable with anything.. he was wrong in "assuming" that she would have stated as such, because this weekend was about him, and what he wanted and what he wanted to do and had absolutely nothing at all to do with her. She'd chastise him later, she thought, as he certainly seemed to be on a roll, for lack of a better word.

He embarrassed easily too, she noted, catching the way his eyes had dipped to her mouth when she'd licked her lips. She was going to have fun this weekend, if such a simple gesture as that caused him to blush, she wondered what his reaction would be at this reunion if she decided to give him a kiss that would tell any that would be watching that he was hers and that she took very good care of him. The idea made her almost laugh out loud. But she didn't, knowing that if she did it might or might not make him much more uncomfortable.

She had to admit, however, that he looked.. boyish when he blushed. Evie licked her lips again but turned her head this time, returning her attention to him as he cleared his throat and spoke again, albeit haltingly. Evie waved a hand in the air as she came to her feet, giving him another warm smile,

"I'm sure we'll get asked quite a few questions, Daniel, and it would be best that we get our story in alignment. The last thing you need, I'm sure, is for someone to ask something that couldn't possibly be answered... if that happens, do we wing it? Or have you prepared a list of questions that your family might inquire of us?"

Her use of words would, no doubt, tell him that she was educated as well, and she nodded her head at his suggestion of having dinner, though her head tilted to one side, "How about something less... heavy... a sandwich or even a salad will work for me. Of course, we could always go out and get it and return here if you'd like..." Letting the rest trail as she stepped close to him, placing a slender hand on his arm as she leaned close, almost as if they were sharing a secret,

"I'm afraid I don't know how a boyfriend should act," She said with a throaty laugh, "Perhaps we can learn as we go?" She added and gave him another wink, teasing him in turn.

Dan took a deep breath, goodness he was acting like a school boy all over again. He wasn’t this naïve, was he really just this nervous? “I think if we talk about our story how we met and learn about one another, we should be able to wing it.” He said in answer to her questions. He gave a slight shrug, “No, I didn’t make a list; one doesn’t exactly think to take notes during such a moment.” He said the corners of his mouth twitching with a smile yet again.

“Sure, I’m sure there are good sandwich places around here. But if you mean to watch your figure, trust me, you are gorgeous and have nothing to worry about.” He said his eyes flicking back to hers again. “Then again eating light might be good, as we’ll certainly be expected to eat until we bust at the reunion.”

He let his hand cover hers where it came to rest on his arm, holding her gentle touch to him. “I was always good at studying.” He said with a chuckle, “Guess I just have to refresh my memory. Maybe by the end of the weekend I’ll be able to ace a boyfriend test.” He joked. He could feel some of his tension slowly dissipating; it was just hard to not be comfortable around her. She just seemed to put him at ease. “It’s been a while since I’ve dated a real woman. I’m not sure girls in magazines or on posters count.” He said poking fun at himself a bit, and also offering an explanation for his nerves. He had told his parents he had been dating her for some time, so he needed to get over his nerves quickly, it wouldn’t look right if he was all shy and nervous around her in front of others. That meant he had to be used to her touching him, had to be able to touch her, and other things like that.

She couldn't help but find Daniel to be charming, even though he behaved as if he'd never been in close quarters with a woman before. The wedding, and the ensuing reunion after, would most definitely be a time for her to push him a little bit for a reaction. She supposed she could probably do it now, but what would the fun be in that without anyone to see? Not that she would intentionally embarrass the man, not, of course, he asked her to.

Evie took note of how the corners of his mouth twitched as he answered her questions, her gaze lingering on his lips longer than necessary before she averted them to his eyes; which were just as consuming, she thought, considering how green they were. Yes, she thought, sighing wistfully and silently, she could most definitely get lost in those.

At his comment that he believed her gorgeous and had nothing to worry about, Evie merely smiled at him, catching his eyes as they flicked in her direction. Laughter erupted when he told her that more than likely they would both be expected to eat until the burst at the seams at the reunion, and she could only shake her head in amusement.

But at the touch of his hand as it covered hers, Evie immediately felt warm and relaxed, though she gave no indication of what she was feeling she continued to speak. Blue eyes stared at his hand for a long moment before she shifted her gaze to his own, hearing him say that it'd been a while since he'd dated a real woman. A brow quirked at that comment, and the one following. Yes, the man was definitely a tad bit uncomfortable as well as nervous, she surmised, and stepped closer to him.

Their bodies were almost touching and she closed the distance with another small step tilting her head back to look up at him, her eyes dancing as her lips curled into a teasing smile,

"Well then," she said, sliding her hands up the front of his jacket, "Perhaps a little study period is in order for this upcoming test..." And standing on her tiptoes, Evie leaned into him as her hands reached his shoulders, her fingers curling within the fabric, and pressed her lips to his own in a very light and gentle kiss. She was taking a chance, she knew, but the man was just too.... adorable in his own way, and she wanted to ensure that he was as comfortable with her as she was with him.

Breaking the kiss, Evie gave him another wink, slowly sliding her hands down the front of his jacket then turned, saying over a shoulder, "Are you ready, Daniel?" The question was left wide open, the meaning to be taken however he wished to interpret it. Food if he was really that hungry, or her. He did, after all, pay for the weekend.

Dan watched her draw closer and closer. His nose in hailed the scent of her perfume, light, enticing. The scent drew him in, he normally wasn’t a big fan of perfumes and shampoos and the like but she just smelled so wonderful, it was by no means overpowering, like most of the women he knew. “I was always good at studying.” He said with another small smile, continuing her joke and innuendo.

He let his hands come up and rest on her waist as she stood between his slightly spread thighs. She had to move closer to lean down to kiss him softly on the lips. The gesture was surprising, but by no means unwelcome. He didn’t realize she would be willing to do something like that, after all wasn’t that the story that everyone always told about prostitutes? They wouldn’t kiss their clients? Then again this was different she was pretending to be his girlfriend; of course a girlfriend would kiss him. Was she acting, or did she genuinely want him? Either way, the brief touch of lips was intriguing and Dan found himself wanting more. It had been a long time for him for more than just simply dating.

“Oh, I’m ready alright.” Dan found himself saying, more boldly than he’d said anything else so far with her. His eyes were drawn to the way her tight ass moved in her pants. He started to wonder if this might have been a better idea, with more benefits – than he had originally thought.
