The full moon hung proudly in the sky, providing light in addition to the usual streetlights. Ah, the full moon, one of the few times when a host is not needed. It was a beautiful night, a light breeze swayed the tops of trees, but wasn't enough to be chilly. It was the perfect April Saturday night, at sixty-six degrees and clear skies, one could not have asked for a better night.

The center of the city was bustling with night life, of people who liked to party and have a good time, and with people getting off late night jobs who are ready to go home. The city was a decent size, with two universities in the community and a booming business district, it provided as a home for many type of people. And demons. Demons prowled through the city, causing havoc, taking souls, just being demons. It was a fun city that was for sure.

Kiro walked down the pathway of the park, which was deserted this time of night and provided him some peace. He really needed to find a host, but had yet to find one that he had found intriguing enough. Tonight he didn't have to worry about that, the moon was his strength. He was wearing a white t-shirt that was partially covered by the black hoodie that he wore. His dark brown boots made soft thuds on the concrete as he walked, his hands hidden in the pockets of his dark blue jeans.

He let out a sigh as his golden yellow eyes took in the area around him. The pathway was lined with trees and bushes, in the trail part of the park that was away from the playgrounds. It was quiet except for the chirps of the crickets. Tilting his head back and looking up at the stars his lips curled into a small smile as he inhaled the crisp evening air.

Kiro appeared human enough, except his eyes were unnatural, he had an air about him that was different than others, and of course amongst his silver hair was a pair of pure white wolf ears that prevented him from appearing too human. And, if that wasn't enough, the full white wolf tail that was behind him was definitely a tell that he wasn't human. He liked being demon, he found humans generally weak and it frustrated him that he needed a host. If only there was a decently strong soul in this damn city.

He paused for a moment as his ears twitched, catching a sound that wasn't normal. He raised an eyebrow and the small smile that was on his lips faded to a straight line. It was footsteps, hurried one, like running. He started towards the sound - which was just down the path. Then the stench hit him - he groaned, immediately knowing roughly who it was. He smelled human, and then he smelled Korgan - a type of demon that liked to eat souls. They tended to only come out during full moons. Kiro hadn't run into one in a while, he couldn't help but be curious as to what soul it was after.

Matthew glared at the bright round moon that loomed overhead, watching arrogantly as the sandy brown haired teen sprinted down the quiet street, his striped overshirt billowing behind him as he ran. He’d completely forgotten today would be a full moon and had accidentally spent a few more hours out tonight than he should have. Not that he could have slipped out or anything, he couldn’t really do that to his best friend anyway. Unfortunately that choice had meant he’d been wondering around after dark under the full moon. And for as long as he could remember the full moon was his worst enemy. The moon itself meant little, to most others it might have even been a pleasant sight. But to Matt it was an ill omen. An omen which had never let him down as a Korgan demon stampeded not too far behind him.

From an early age he had the power to see strange creatures, or maybe he was born with it? Either way by the time he learned how to utter a few sentences he was pointing out the demons to his parents, trying to figure out why there were all sorts of bizarre creatures staring at him, some well hidden, others standing boldly before everyone as if they didn’t care if anyone saw them as no one ever did. His parents thought it was cute initially, telling him that he could become a superhero one day and defeat the monsters. It’d taken until preschool before Matt realized that television was full or rubbish and there were no such thing as transformation heroes, and monsters trying to take over the world. He continued asking his caretakers about the bizarre creatures though, and warned his peers to keep away from them. Unfortunately though, no one could see these demons, and as time passed his caretakers began brushing his questions off, and his peers started calling him a liar. It wasn’t until elementary school that things really started going downhill with the demons escalating their pranks. Shattering windows, and pulling other cheap pranks to frame Matt, he couldn’t even remember half the elementary schools he went to as he was constantly shuffled around. Highschool was a bit better as he realized his peers wouldn’t distance themselves if he kept his mouth shut about the demons, but the pranks continued and he was constantly at risk of being expelled, his friends mainly consisted of dropouts and delinquents, but beggars couldn’t be choosers, and they were pretty nice people under their tough exterior.

His attention was swiftly snapped back to the present as he sensed the Korgan gaining distance on him. He’d been sprinting at full speed for nearly a quarter of an hour now, knowing full well that the demon was likely to rip him apart with those powerful arms if he so much as thought about slowing down, his only chance of survival was if he could somehow make it to the local Church, he’d only stumbled upon the Church by accident when he was a young kid, but the nearly abandoned Church made him feel at ease, and kept the Demons away. Matt wasn’t religious, but apparently some sort of God did exist, or at the very least some sort of conflicting power that drove demons away as the creatures wouldn’t even wait around for him once he was inside. Apparently knowing that there was a Church nearby was enough to drive them away.

None of this mattered though, and the only way it would matter is if he could somehow get to the Church before his stamina failed him. Noticing the entrance to the park, Matt quickly drew up a map of the area inside his head, an easy task seeing as how he’d been living in the area for years, and had studied the road map repeatedly so that he’d know how to escape. The park would easily shave of a few minutes of his journey, and while it was risky travelling on compacted gravel and grass opposed to concrete, he could resist the temptation, swiftly turning into the park, the first thing he noticed was a silhouette glancing his way, the sight making him curse quietly in his mind. It wasn’t very common for a demon to lash out at a bystander while chasing him, but there was no telling what the brutish demon behind him was capable of, or what it’d be thinking, and Matt had intentionally chosen less populated streets up until now. The last thing he’d expected was someone to be hanging around in a park this late. Intending to ignore the shadow, he was only a few feet from running past it completely, when his own cerulean eyes caught sight of a golden shimmer in the darkness. A fluffy silver tail flickering in the moonlight, a normal person would have stopped dead and stared in amazement or fear. But while Matt had never seen this type of demon before, he wasn’t naïve enough to think that some lonely kid had decided to cosplay werewolf alone in the park tonight.

Immediately veering away from the new demon as well, he placed his weight on his left leg intending to sway out of the demons way. He was hoping that this demon wouldn’t start chasing him as well, but it never hurt to take extra caution…. Or that’s what he’d though until he felt himself misplace his foot, the sole of his shoe landing at an angle he could feel pain shooting up his leg as he tried to twist it back into position in vain, Cursing and then stumbling sideways, grazing his arm as he landed on his arm and then back, spinning his body around to see that the second demon hadn’t moved, it would have been relieved if the Korgan wasn’t close behind. Cursing again, he quickly tried to work out his options, figuring that his only chance at survival was to pit the two demons against each other. “Hey wolf man… or fox… dog? Argh whatever you are, you can understand me right? …Please be able to understand me… If you can ward off that red thing I’ll do anything you want.” He offered a bit demandingly, he had no time for formalities and politeness at this stage anyway. Matt didn’t really intend to stick around anyway. The demon didn’t look too strong anyway so chances were it’d get ripped apart by the Korgan, but hopefully it’d by him enough time to escape in the meantime. If the canine demon were to somehow outsmart the Korgan then there’d be a struggle anyway and he’d scram while they fought. It was the perfect plan…. As long as the demon accepted his offer.

Kiro watched the human running calmly, not moving an inch as the boy stumbled and fell. He looked down at the boy and then back up to the Korgan that was gaining distance. He wish he couldn't smell - he hated the smell of the Korgan, it smelled like rotten eggs mixed in rotten milk and microwaved. He couldn't help but shake his head as the demon got closer.

He was brought back to reality when the boy said he would do anything he wanted. Kiro was only a few steps away from the human and he paused for a moment - figuring it gave the impression that he didn't understand. Except, his ear did twitch when he called him a dog. He shook it off and walked the couple of steps towards the human.

He could tell that the boy's soul was bright, it shone in his eyes. A small smirk came over his lips, a host just to ward off a Korgan, this was probably the best night he had ever had. He knelt beside the fallen human, "I require payment up-front." He didn't seem to be in a hurry, even though the Korgan was even closer, close to being on top of them. "You said anything, all I want is a kiss and I'll make sure that Korgan doesn't bother you anymore." Kiro's voice was almost like a thick silk as he spoke, it was low, still above a whisper though.

He watched the human for a moment before taking liberties on how badly they wanted the other demon gone. The rules were simple, in order to claim a host a kiss has to be shared, however if it is broken before the bond is made then it doesn't take affect, which it usually is broken if one party struggles too much. Kiro cupped the boys chin and leaned closer until his lips touched his. Kiro was a little surprised at how soft they were, the boy's scent filled his nostrils. He smelled great, much better than the Korgan. He pushed slightly deeper into the kiss and held it until he was filled with energy, he felt something inside him change. Finally, a host worth his time. He pulled away from the boy and stood, a small smirk on his face, "Name's Kiro by the way."

He turned and stood in front of the boy, one hand was on his hip as hit tail twitched a little. The Korgan came to a skidding hault just a few feet away from Kiro, "Stay out of this!" The Korgan growled, "That soul is mine!"

Kiro scrunched his nose, the stench was horrific, and now the thing was drooling, "No can do, Korgan. He's mine now." He said as a matter-of-factly.

The Korgan let out a growl and charged. Kiro moved as well. The Korgan was easily four feet taller than Kiro - who stood at six foot two. Korgan's ranged from sizes - this one must have gotten milk. Kiro jumped, and his hand glowed gold as he flipped over the Korgan. The Korgan was frozen in place as Kiro walked around the creature, shaking his hand of the blood that was on it, glaring at it, his ears were slightly down. "Damnit, now I'm going to stink," he pouted lightly as the Korgan fell to it's knees and then face planted, there was four large gashes from it's shoulders down it's back where blood was pooling out of.

Matt sat dead still as the wolf slowly made his way over to him, his white figure calmly making his way over to the dirt covered teen, the stench of the Korgan wasn’t as prominent to a human’s senses, but even Matt could sense the creature fast approaching them from a nose wrinkling stench that wafted over towards them. Under normal circumstances Matt probably would have covered his nose or at least turned his head away to avoid the stench, but he was more worried about the wolf demon which was slowly making its way closer and closer, not uttering a single word as to whether it had understood, or even heard him. He flinched away uncertainly as Kiro knelt beside him, slightly startled by the peculiar act as he’d expected something more along the lines of being yanked up by the collar of his shirt or maybe have his head pressed into the ground as the demon negotiated with him.

“Payment?” Matt asked blinking at the demon with a confused look, he’d offered to do anything for the demon, not offer him money, though money was probably a cheaper payment than anything else the demon could ask for, it wasn’t uncommon in literature for a demon to ask for a physical part of a human’s body, an eye, tongue, heart, kidney, he briefly wondered if demons had a donor fund set up in hell or something, and smirked faintly at the idea, his amusement not lasting long as he was told just what it was the demon wanted. It sounded simple enough, it wasn’t anything he’d really suffer from, and the way the demon spoke sent shivers up his spine, the thick silken voice luring his mind towards accepting the demon, he caught himself briefly complaining that the demon was a guy, but even that seemed irrelevant at this stage. His clear blue eyes closing as he waited for his lips to be taken, he could feel cool firm hands grabbing at his chin, lifting them up slightly before he felt the warmth of another beings lips pressed against his own. The fiery contact sending a warm shiver throughout his body, he flinched at first, knowing how wrong and sick it was to be kissing a complete stranger, a male demon at that, but he couldn’t resist the temptation. His lips parting welcomingly accepting the demon deeper into his mouth feeling something undescribable flowing out and into him as several seconds passed until the demon pulled away leaving Matt flushed and breathless, his heart pounding impossibly fast, he felt like he’d just ran a marathon and technically he had. But that wasn’t the point.

Gradually his senses began returning to him bit by bit, at first only vaguely comprehending that he’d just been kissed by some sort of demon which was likely to be just as dangerous at the Korgan, he couldn’t fathom why a demon would want a kiss seeing as how most seemed to be more interested in ripping him apart and feasting on him. By the time he’d gained enough sense to speak Kiro had already dispatched the Korgan which lay lifelessly in the dirt, blood flowing out of its wounds and pointing towards what Matt thought would be certain death. He hadn’t expected Kiro to be so powerful, and mentally he cursed himself for offering to do anything for the demon. Though at least it hadn’t been anything too serious. Glancing once more at the Korgan before turning his attention fully to Kiro, Matt opened his mouth to tell Kiro his name, but quickly reconsidered, knowing the dangers of giving information about himself so freely to a demon. “T-thanks… I guess, never thought I’d be saved by a queer demon” he smirked, rubbing his lips with the back of his hand to rub the strange tingling sensation away. It had just been a simple kiss but subconsciously Matt knew he’d been marked by the demon. “If you don’t mind though, I’ve got places to be and people to meet.” He continued trying to stay calm, he wasn’t naïve enough to think a kiss was all the demon wanted. But as he tried to get up onto his feet he stumbled, sprawling against the dirt beneath him before pulling himself back up into a crouching position. Knowing that he had to get away from Kiro as soon as he possibly could.

Kiro shook his hand until there was no more blood on it, he still needed to wash it because it stunk; however, he could live with it for now. He felt so rejuvenated, with a host he was able to use more power and he now he could stay even in the daylight.

His attention went to the human as began speaking, "Says the one that was enjoying it," he teased. He had felt the human submit to it, but it could have just been him accepting the deal or actually liking it, Kiro was just teasing the lad. If he was stuck to the human he might as well have a little bit of fun. He actually had never understood the whole 'queer' concept, to Kiro a host was a host, and he happened upon a human that would make a great host. His soul might even be bright enough to help Kiro in his agenda. If that was the case other demons would be after him too. Kiro smirked, bring them on, he thought to himself.

Kiro chuckled as he fell, "What? Getting attacked by a number of other demons?" He shook his head, he had been walking towards him, but stopped a couple feet away from him. "Do you have a death wish or something? Wandering around on a full moon, surely with a soul as bright as yours this isn't the first time you have been attacked."

Kiro noticed the boy was weary of him, which only made him smirk and chuckle, "Don't worry, you being killed doesn't serve in my favor." He paused, "And I can't take your soul either, against the rules." His tone was sort of like a playful tease. Though he was serious, if the human died either he died with him or ended up seriously injured, depending - unless he died of natural caused the Kiro would be fine. Kiro offered a hand to help the boy up, "Your ankle is hurt, isn't it? The way you fell didn't look pleasant and you humans can be so delicate."

Kiro knew that if the boy ran he would have no trouble finding him, some of the perks of the bond. Not to mention the boys smell, it was delicious enough that he could easily follow it. He didn't smell like some of the other humans, who could even give a Korgan a run for their money.

Matt blushed a deep red when he was reminded he enjoyed it, but quickly tried to disguise it with an ugly scowl, glaring angrily at Kiro, focusing his hatred towards the wolf demon now that the Korgan was lying motionlessly on the ground. “Shut up I did not….. enjoy … it” he mumbled the last few words not being very clear as he felt his embarrassment boiling up inside him again. He rubbed his lips roughly with the back of his hand, spitting on the dirt shortly after as if to get rid of a foul taste that simply wouldn’t leave his mouth. He could still feel the warmth of Kiro’s lips even now though, and all the rubbing and spitting in the world wouldn’t do him any good.

He nearly snapped when Kiro mocked him by saying he’d get attacked by other demons, sure he had been a bit careless tonight, but he wasn’t always so reckless, he even had a little trinket tucked away in his room which could make him invisible to demons, a simple silver cross that he’d been given by a man Matt respected more than anyone else. He was supposed to keep it on him at all times, but he often forgot, and it had been purely bad luck that he’d forgotten to take it with him when he’d left for school earlier that day.

Slapping Kiro’s hand away as it was offered to him, Matt glared at Kiro with his bright blue eyes, hostility shimmering in them as he dragged himself backwards. “Hah, as if I’d believe anything you say, I might not be the smartest guy around, but I’m not stupid enough to trust a demon” he growled, digging his fingers into the ground and scraping the loose dirt into his hand, planning to throw it in Kiro’s face the moment an opportunity to escape arose.

“Whether I’m hurt or not is none of your business, if you really don’t plan to kill me or take my soul then piss off, you’ve had your kiss, no need to pester me any longer right?” he snapped, annoyed at how Kiro commented on his soul, Matt didn’t even really know what a soul was, but he’d been told he had a bright soul plenty of times. And each time the demon had tried to shred him to pieces afterwards. What annoyed him the most though was that these creatures were after a part of him that didn’t define him. He didn’t understand the concept of souls, but it sounded like a rapist saying that he chose his victims since they had pretty golden hair. It was a trait of the victim, but it didn’t have anything to do with the victim personally, and in that sense it made it worse than a hate crime. A random attack on a random person simply because the attacker saw something they liked. “Well? What are you waiting for? Scram!”

Kiro laughed at the boy's reaction, now he knew he really did. Kiro was pretty clever and when someone over-reacted to something simple it usually meant that they were hiding something. He was amused with this kid and as he looked down at him, amusement shined in his golden eyes. He slid his slapped hand away back into his pocket, "Thick headed human." Kiro mumbled to himself.

Kiro listened to what the human had to say, only getting more frustrated as the human spoke more. His amusement left his eyes and he narrowed them slightly at him. His eyes locking with the boys blue ones. He was honestly still slightly amused at the human. So they were used to demons coming after him and seeing them, or else he wouldn't be somewhat calm about the whole ordeal. Though the kid did look tired.

"Look, kid," Kiro stated, his tone a little more stern, "It is my business now. Whether you like it or not, you are stuck with me because honestly," He paused, "Your soul is the best I've come across in a long time, and since you said you would give me anything if I got rid of the Korgan for you," He looked over his shoulder at the dead Korgan, "Which I did. And instead of just taking your soul, or another piece of you like most other demons would do, I went with a bond. So, get used to me being around, kid - I'm not going to 'scram'."

Kiro took a step towards him and knelt down to be on the same level as he was, "Now, are you going to cooperate and accept that you agreed to be my host, or are you going to make things a little more interested?" His tone was lower, daring and dangerous. Kiro had to admit, he liked the fire in the human's eyes, he wasn't like some of the humans he saw that were very weak and fragile. He had spunk to him, and damn did he smell good. Getting on the same level as him, Kiro's senses were again assaulted by the boy's scent. His ears were perked high and alert, taking in the sounds around them, which mainly were crickets, his tail swished a little behind him as his eyes glowed in the moonlight.

Matt nearly immediately regretted his words as the wolf demon narrowed its eyes at him, the playful mirth fading gradually the more he spoke, Matt had never come across Kiro’s type of demon before and was at a complete loss as to what to do. He’d tried putting up a tough front figuring that showing weakness would be a bad idea, but perhaps he shouldn’t have been openly insulting? Either way Kiro continued to stare at him with those inhuman golden eyes, had they been human Matt probably would have stared at them with fascination, admiring how beautiful they were in moonlight, but he didn’t have time to think such pleasant thoughts as his life was at stake, and could be snuffed out at any moment.

“A bond?” he repeated, placing a hand over his chest as if doing so would give him some tangible object or at least some sort of indication as to whether Kiro was telling the truth. If what Kiro said was true then he didn’t have to worry about the demon killing him right away. But at the same time it meant Kiro was even more dangerous than the Korgan. The Korgan was easy enough to read, and as violent and deadly as it was, it could be read like an open book. Kiro on the other hand was intelligent, and could hide his intentions like a leaf in a forest. And figuring out why he’d opted for a bond over just taking his soul was something that confused Matt thoroughly, not that he was complaining or anything. The biggest question though was what the bond was. Demon lore was something Matt couldn’t understand in the slightest, and why a demon would bind itself to him was something Matt couldn’t even begin to understand.

Regardless he didn’t trust the demon, and he wouldn’t be borrowing the demon’s help. He flinched as Kiro moved closer, glaring at him with a mixture of wariness and discomfort. Trusting the demon was suicide and he needed to push him away before his mind was tempted into doing something he’d forget. The closer the demon got though, the more his heart began to race, his cheeks lighting up again as he was reminded of the kiss. The blood rushing to his face, he felt a bit light headed with each passing moment, the swish of Kiro’s tail nearly hypnotizing, making him forget about his parched throat and aching body as it tempted him into a slumber. Matt’s hand moving slowly towards Kiro to push the demon away, but somewhere during the act his body finally gave in, relieved to finally be safe from demon’s that wanted to rip him apart, he didn’t trust Kiro in the slightest but Matt needed to rest. His outstretched hand missed Kiro completely and instead Matt’s entire body slowly moved forward towards Kiro. His sandy brown hair landing just over the demon’s shoulder, his conscious fast fading.

Kiro watched the boy, he watched his eyes glaze a little and then his body gave way. Kiro reached out and wrapped his arms around the human, holding him up as he fell into him. "Fragile humans," he sighed shaking his head lightly. Well, at least he didn't have to worry about the time, he had a host now, no longer bound to hide. However, it meant that he had to watch over someone now - protect them. That was an odd concept, a demon protecting a human, it seemed unnatural. But it happened, and it was surprisingly common, at least for the more intelligent demons.

Kiro shifted how he was holding the boy, picking him up in his arms. He looked around, maybe he could find his home because of his scent. Using the breeze Kiro made his way through the cool air, in a semi-sprint. He could hear others starting to become attracted to the smell of blood and death - he didn't want to be around when the scavengers came around. He didn't want to waste his energy.

It didn't take long before he picked up the boys scent. Finding his way to his home, however he didn't have a key. "Hmm," he thought to himself as he placed the boy down gently, while scouting around, finding a window that was easy to unlock he went back to the human, picked him up and went inside. Kiro placed the boy in his bed and looked around. The place was definitely his, his scent was everywhere. Curiosity got the better of him as he started looking around. The smell of food caught his attention and he went to the kitchen, rummaging through the fridge and freezer, tail swishing side to side a bit happily. Unlike a lot of demons, he could eat actual human food, at least some of it.

His conscious slipped away from him the moment his head hit Kiro’s shoulder, his breathing still a bit rugged from the dull aching pain that shot up his leg. He couldn’t even hear Kiro’s voice anymore, he couldn’t even think straight enough to know there was a demon standing right before him. If Kiro had wanted to shred him up and devor him, there was no better time than now, but that apparently wasn’t what the demon was after.

Letting out a low protesting groan as he shuffled around and lifted into the air, the movement causing his swelled ankle to pulse with pain, he unknowingly buried his head against Kiro’s chest, curling up in the wolf demon’s arms in hopes of avoiding or at least dampening the pain. The protests quickly subsided though as Kiro began moving through the streets with uncanny speed. The cool air causing Matt to shrink in further against Kiro’s warm body. Enjoying the feeling of safety and warmth which would only have been pure embarrassment had he been awake. His mind at the moment though was too far gone, and he didn’t even wonder where he was being taken in such a hurry. Normally he would have suspected Kiro to be taking him to some demon infested lair, or maybe even the underworld itself. But he didn’t have the strength of mind to argue or acknowledge the possibility.

It didn’t take long for Kiro to find his home as he lived surprisingly close by. Only a few blocks away, it would have been faster for Matt to run home rather than escape to the church, but the former wasn’t safe, and the last thing he needed was to escape a Korgan, only to have to explain why the house had been demolished over night.

Being placed in a soft bed, one would have thought he’d finally be happy, but the sound that came out of Matts lips as he was placed down wasn’t a relieved sigh, but a whimper of protest. Apparently nothing Kiro did could make this demanding brunette happy. Whether his protest had affected Kiro’s choice to wander off wasn’t clear, but the wolf demon quickly slipped away as an unconscious Matt reached out to regain the warmth that had disappeared. His out stretched hand clawing through thin air as the wolf demon quickly made his exit to go rummage around in the fridge. The only thing Matt could do was curl up into a ball, trying to regain the warmth he’d lost with his own body heat, it wasn’t like he was freezing or anything, but it’d been so long since he’d felt the warmth of another body against his. And while he wouldn’t admit a thing while conscious, he’d really enjoyed being carried by Kiro like that.

Kiro settled on a a piece of pizza that he found, placing it in his mouth and letting it hang as he went about his rummage. He was a bit selfish, yes, but he was hungry and with his host a little dizzy he had to keep up his strength in other ways. Kiro gathered some medical items he found in the bathroom and made his way back to the bedroom - the pizza now half eaten.

Kiro knelt beside the bed and looked at the boy curled into a ball, shaking his head and smirking. Whether the kid wanted to admit it or not when he was awake, his unconscious movement gave his desires away. "This is going to hurt," Kiro murmured softly - a mouthful of pizza, though he was certain he couldn't hear him. Kiro grabbed the boy's leg, getting a better look at the ankle - now was his chance to take a good look at it if he was going to. Kiro took a couple more bites of the pizza and then put it off to the side. He wrapped a hand around his ankle and gripped it, his hand glowed a little like it did when he had cut the Korgan so deep. He enjoyed having his powers back - without a host he didn't have enough energy to use them so he had to avoid them as much as possible.

The swelling in the boys ankle went down a little and Kiro pulled his hand away, opening the medical kit he found, pulling out gauze he started wrapping the ankle thoroughly support it. "You're lucky it's just a sprain," Kiro grumbled lightly as he finished and grabbed his pizza, polishing it off and placing the medical kit aside. He yawned and stretched his arms above his head. Even though he had a host, he didn't have his full energy back. He needed rest. Without even thinking twice about it, Kiro grabbed a blanket and climbed into the bed with the human, moving an arm under him and pulling him close against him. Kiro also enjoyed the feeling of the boy's body against him. Plus, it would freak the boy out when he woke up. Kiro pulled the blanket over them for added warmth, his head resting on the pillow as he let out a contented sigh, a bed definitely beats a tree or hard ground. It wasn't long before Kiro drifted off to sleep.

As Kiro fell into a light sleep, one ear stayed perked up, ever alert for anything that might pose any danger, while his other relaxed a little, going off to the side a little bit. His chest moved up and down at a steady, deep, and relaxed pace as he enjoyed the relaxing sensation of a bed, in a nice warm home. A small contented smile was on his lips, even parted ever so slightly. He looked quite peaceful when he slept. He didn't usually dream, and this was no exception. He never slept deep enough to really dream - never really letting his guard down. He couldn't risk letting his guard down, doing that could be the difference between life and death.

Still deeply unconscious, Matt groaned in pain as his leg was suddenly grabbed firmly, squirming in his sleep to escape the sudden pressure that was being applied to it, had it not been for the warm tingly feeling that came with the glowing hand he probably would have shot up and pushed Kiro away, thinking that the demon was trying to sever his leg for whatever reason demons had for taking human body parts, Fortunately the sensation didn’t last long, and before long the dull aching of his sprained ankle was gone, the sandy haired boy’s body relaxing as he mumble something unrecognizable in his sleep. It almost sounded like he’d grumbled something at Kiro’s comment, but he couldn’t possibly have heard? Either way Matt wasn’t aware of what was going on anymore, his mind convinced that the whole ordeal with the Korgan had just been a bad dream, though if he were to confess his honest feelings he did feel a bit disappointed to think that Kiro too had been just a dream…. What was he thinking? That damn guy was a demon! Of course he wasn’t regretful….. was he?

Back in the real world, Matt could feel himself being pulled towards the wolf demon, struggling at first and shaking his head slightly as he tried to pull away. He craved the warmth Kiro’s body had to offer, but the barriers he’d built when interacting with people had crept into his subconscious, denying himself the friendly or loving affection of others, life had been pretty lonely for the teen who could never be completely honest with even his closest friends. Saying that demons lurked around every corner of the city would probably get him thrown in some mental institution, which probably would be infested with demons too judging from how oblivious society was towards the existence of these creatures.

He couldn’t resist long though, eventually mumbling a reluctant “fine” before cuddling up to Kiro’s chest, smiling weakly in his sleep before reaching a shakey hand over Kiro’s side, his action awfully shy and nervous. He’d never slept with a man before, and the last time he’d been held like this was when he couldn’t even walk properly, his mother refusing to sleep with her ‘creepy son’ who kept on spouting nonsense. His life was probably tragic from the perspective of a third person viewing his life, but he wasn’t going to let himself get pushed around. If life wouldn’t accept him, he’d just refuse it back. If his parents didn’t consider him their son, they weren’t his parents, and everyone who thought he was insane could damned.

Hugging Kiro closer to his body, he felt a tear creeping out of his eyes, but quickly rubbed it away on Kiro’s shoulder, murmuring a feeble “I’m not lying” before settling into a peaceful quiet slumber. Unaware that he’d be in for quite the surprise when the sun rose.

Kiro chuckled lightly when the boy gave in and cuddled up against him. The hand of the arm wrapped around him absentmindedly started lightly stroking his upper arm, his fingers feather like.

Demons weren't all violent, sure they were most of the time, and Kiro really did enjoy fighting and being destructive...a lot. But, this human was now his foundation to the world, hosts were really the only ones that sometimes got to see a different side to a demon. Sure there are some nicer than others, but it always remains that they don't kill their host. The stronger the host, the stronger the demon is. If the host is feeling weak or is injured, it has an affect on the demon. On the opposite side of the spectrum, the better the host feels, the stronger the demon is.

Kiro knew a few demons that didn't bother their host unless they needed power. Even though there is a bond, the two could separate from each other, it is just the more distance the weaker the demon gets and the more danger the human is in. Kiro thought it was a stupid idea, he had bonded with a few other humans in his time, he only wandered off once, but once was all it took. He had never made that mistake ever again, humans were too fragile.

Only a couple of times did Kiro have to give a warning growl to things that were poking around, glad they took the hint the first time - Kiro really didn't want to get up. The warmth of the human was getting to him. He found it relaxing, though he knew his body temperature was probably higher than his.

Kiro opened his eyes a few times through the night to make sure that he was still breathing regularly, and resting. Kiro was about as used to contact as a demon could be, he often didn't like it, preferring to be on his own, however there was a piece of him that enjoyed decent company. Plus, having someone around provided entertainment. Such as, the human waking up in his arms after so adamantly denying that he enjoyed any part of Kiro.

When the sun started to rise, Kiro was pretending to be asleep, one ear relaxed while the other was perked high, his tail had moved and was peeking out from under the blanket he had draped over them. He had his breathing calm and relaxed, as if he was actually sleeping, even though he was very much awake, interested in how he would react.

Matt was dreaming peacefully, his body at complete ease, it wasn’t clear if Kiro’s presence was the sole cause of his blissful undisturbed slumber, but he hadn’t felt this relaxed in years. He wasn’t as paranoid or sensitive as Kiro, but Matt too had to be careful when he was sleeping, and the possibility that there’d be something standing beside his bed, looming over him as he slept guaranteed that he couldn’t sleep for more than an hour or two at a time.

Regardless of what demons were, they meant nothing more than trouble to Matt. He’d come across a few friendly ones during his childhood, and locked deep within the recesses of his mind, he’d even played with them innocently as a child, whether it be drawing in the sand, or playing in a park when no one else was around. Some were awfully childish, while others seemed to be like secondary parents to him. Even the scarier ones had been bystanding observers who couldn’t do any harm unless Matt openly approached them.

Somewhere along the line though he’d realized they were all after his soul, and as time went on he completely forgot about such memories, labeling all demons as unwanted nuisances that could only serve to ruin his already screwed up life. Thinking about his life as usual hurt though, and countless times he’d wondered how things would have been for him if he wasn’t cursed with this supposed soul of his. Biting his lip he leaned in closer to Kiro, sliding his hand up and down the wolf demon’s back to pull himself closer. The warmth Kiro’s body offered was perfect, warm enough to make him sigh with pleasure, but not hot enough to get uncomfortable. He wished he could stay like this forever, but the inconsistency of having such warmth in his bed gradually registered in his head, and his bright blue eyes were slowly forced open to look right into the face of what he assumed was a sleeping Kiro.

Opening his mouth to shout, he slammed his lips closed, resisting the urge to shove the wolf demon on his bed. A million questions raced through his head, but no matter how hard he thought, he couldn’t work out a logical reason as to why Kiro was sleeping in his bed. He hadn’t even thought his meeting with Kiro had been real until a moment ago, but there was no denying it when the wolf demon was lying right beside him.

Shivering a bit as the warmth suddenly changed into a possible life or death situation, he wanted to call for help, but he knew no one would help him. He wasn’t even sure if his parents were home, and even if they were they might not even be able to see Kiro. Panic running through his mind he glanced nervously into the demon’s face, the warmth of Kiro’s breath tickling his own lips with each gentle breath he exhaled. Matt’s eyes were naturally drawn to Kiro’s lips, and strangely enough the feelings that stirred inside him weren’t fear or hostility but embarrassment, his face going red again as he remembered the kiss from last night. The fear of being held by a demon fast fading as he tried to take his mind off the kiss which had now filled his mind.

“Asshole, I never thought I’d lose my first kiss to a demon, a male one at that” he murmured sounding a bit cross to convince himself that he really was upset. “But I guess 18 years of waiting without a single catch means it’d never have happened anyway, and it would have been a shame to die without at least giving it to someone” smiling weakly at the thought, he wasn’t as repulsed by the idea of Kiro as much as he should have been, on the contrary, he felt sort of at ease with the demon holding him close. He mentally blamed his sleepy head, and the relaxed sleep he’d had for the first time in years, but the biggest contributor was how Kiro’s hold on him seemed more protective than anything, even if it was just a dominant show of possession, the demon hadn’t eaten his whole while he was asleep so at the very least he could trust Kiro to not devour him immediately.

Kiro felt the boy tense, figuring he had just woken up. He was expecting a scream or shout, or at very least a hit, but when none of that came he was a little shocked. What shocked him the most was that the boy wasn't getting up either. He had to force himself to not smirk, he had been pretty good at not smirking, at least until the boy murmured about the kiss. It caused his ear to twitch, and his lips to curl in a smirk, "First kiss, huh? I feel special." He teased lightly, his eyes still shut for a moment longer before they actually opened and looked at the boy. "Good morning, sunshine, sleep well?" He continued to tease.

He stretched his arms above his head, arching his back, and stretching his legs all at once while a wide yawn washed over him. "So are you going to tell me your name already?" He asked curiously as he sat up in the bed, looking around again, as if to make sure nothing else was in there. "I could just give you pet-names, and use those." He teased, his eyes gleaming brightly as he looked at the human. His eyes seemed a little brighter and they could have very well been. He was feeling stronger, better, more rested even though he slept lightly and had woken up throughout the night. Other creatures having sensed that the human was vulnerable and having yet learned of Kiro's guardianship.

It wasn't the pesky night creatures that Kiro was worried about, it was the other demons that had human hosts that he was worried about. "Be careful on that ankle," Kiro instructed protectively. His tail twitched behind him lightly, he was obviously comfortable in the home. Except for the fact that he wasn't used to people moving around, so when a door opened his ears flattened back and he tensed before realizing it was just the other humans that were in the home. He didn't bother with them, he could care less about them, honestly he didn't know that relation they had to to the boy. They had a slightly similar smell, however they were still very different. They also didn't intrigue him like the boy did. "I guess everyone is awake now." He sighed.

Kiro was fascinated by him, it started with his soul, however he found it increasingly fun to tease him. He was so reluctant to his feelings he made it so easy. Also, that cute embarrassed look that he got on his face when caught liking something he had convinced himself he shouldn't was more than cute, it was down right adorable. Oh how he missed having the entertainment of another's company.

((Sorry it's a bit short, small brain-fart x_x ))

Matt had been completely convinced that the wolf demon was still fast asleep, so one could easily imagine the surprise and panic that went through his mind when Kiro not only responded to his words, but pointed out how completely inexperienced Matt was when it came to relationships. It wasn’t that he was unattractive or anything, on the contrary he was usually pretty popular with girls until they got to know him a bit. He’d even had a few girlfriends, but not a single one of them had lasted more than three days, the most frequent complaints being that Matt was ‘creepy’ or that he was simply ‘uninterested’ in them because he kept staring blankly at nothing…. Or at least what they thought was nothing. His erratic behavior too couldn’t be explained without the knowledge of the demonic creatures that lurked the streets and suburbs.

Strangely enough though Matt didn’t even shove Kiro away when the demon began teasing him. His embarrassment easily overpowering any sort of hostility he was supposed to feel right now. The sandy haired boy quickly rolled over, turning his back to Kiro and burying his reddened face into his pillow, he could practically cry from how embarrassed he was right now, but he didn’t want to give Kiro the satisfaction, he’d barely known Kiro for more than a few minutes and the guy already had an arsenal of topics to mock and tease him about. Matt only grunted in acknowledgement of the cheerful morning greeting, keeping his head buried to indicate he had no intentions of exchanging words with Kiro.

When he was asked for his name though, he slightly turned his head, glaring at Kiro with his bright blue eyes before muttering unclearly. “As if I’d tell you my name demon.”

It wasn’t going to last long, but it was a resistance against the demon nonetheless, if Kiro decided he just needed to browse around the rather empty room and pick out a notebook or something which would have his name scrawled over the front. A hardly difficult task seeing as there really wasn’t much in the room besides a bed, table, chair, and wardrobe. With each holding a small handful of accessories like bedsheet and pillows, school books, a cushion and a handful of clothes. Matt and his parents had never really gotten along and hence they’d never really given him more than the essentials, the bareness of the room could easily fit into a suitcase, and Matt could leave whenever he wanted, he doubted his parents would miss him.

“My ankle’s fine, I’m more worried about the demon trespassing in my bedroom” he growled, not knowing that Kiro had treated it. He didn’t even realized his bandaged ankle due to the embarrassment of earlier and his stubborn refusal to accept Kiro as anything more than a threat. Surprisingly enough there wasn’t much fear in his mind, but it wasn’t like being afraid would get him out a sticky situation if Kiro turned on him.

Kiro was surprised again by the boy's reaction - instead of shoving him away or doing something along those line he just rolled over and pouted into his pillow. Kiro couldn't help the small smile that came across his lips, the boy was adorable.

Kiro chuckled lightly as the boy glared at him, "Pet names it is then." He teased playfully. Kiro's ears were perked high on his head, twitching a little bit as he took in the sounds of the awakening neighborhood. It was something that he was going to have to get used to. The last time he was in a human neighborhood was with his last host, and that was quite some time ago. Even now, the neighborhoods had grown quite a bit, there were more people, noises, and smells to get used to.

He moved behind the human, wrapping one arm over his stomach as his rough and calloused hand pushed the cloth of the shirt up and splaying on his stomach. The boy's skin was so soft it almost shocked him. The boy was so soft and delicate it stirred the protective side of Kiro. He nuzzled the back of the boys neck, nipping it softly, "Come on, admit it, you enjoy having me here, cutie." He teased, his voice low and husky, "I can show you more than just kissing."

“I’m not your pet” he growled hugging his pillow and trying to bury himself into it, hoping the demon would just leave him alone go find someone else to pester, Kiro had mentioned something about a bond and his soul last night, but Matt’s memory of what happened was sort of fuzzy, and even if he did remember what Kiro had told him, he doubted he’d be able to make much sense of it anyway.

Unfortunately for Matt, hiding his face away also meant he wouldn’t be able to see what Kiro was doing, and he’d foolishly assumed his rejection of receiving a pet name would upset Kiro enough for him to move away, or maybe he was just too naïve to predict Kiro’s actions? Either way, when the wolf demon’s hands reached over his body and hooked under his shirt Matt immediately tensed, his entire body shivering at the roughness of his hand as it slithered along his baby soft skin. It wasn’t something he prided himself on, in fact he sort of hated how soft and fleshy his skin was, he’d tried exercising amongst various other activities to toughen himself up, but while he did manage to build some muscle, his skin remained unnaturally soft and silken. An oddity seeing as how not even his mother’s feminine body was as soft as unmarred as his.

“Wh-what are you doing?” Matt moaned shakily, afraid that Kiro would do something unthinkable to him, he’d never even considered being touched by another man like this, and certainly hadn’t let his mind wander enough to think that he’d be molested in his own bedroom by some horny mutt demon. “I’m not enjoying it, it just feels…. Strange” he murmured, weakly trying to break away from Kiro’s grasp as he’s lips pressed against his neck, sending a burning passion raging through his body. “Let me go damn it, I’m not your toy” his body was shuddering violently, and part of him wanted to see what ‘more’ was, but the majority of his mind was too afraid of the unknown. The part that did want to see more however focused its energy on a certain part of his body, it wasn’t unusual for Matt to wake up with a hardon, but it usually died down pretty quickly after a few moments of lying around. Today however it wasn’t going away, on the contrary it seemed to get harder and harder as Kiro trailed his fingers along his chest. His cock throbbing painfully and causing him to whimper pathetically, as he pressed his thighs together, hoping to god that Kiro wouldn’t notice it, or at least be kind enough to pretend not to notice it.

Kiro chuckled lightly at human, his hand continuing to trail up over his chest, down his stomach and back up again in very slow movements. He could pick up nearly every change in his body - mainly the scent of his arousal. It was intoxicating to Kiro and caused his own body to have a reaction. He smirked a little at the demand, "You're saying one thing and your body is saying another," he teased, his voice still low, almost a whisper into Matt's ear. His tail swished lightly behind him as he enjoyed the feeling of the boy.

He was brought to attention when he heard a door opening in another location of the house. He forced himself to pull his hand away from the boy, but staying behind him. "Seems like the others are up." He sighed lightly at the distribution that brought him back to reality. Or at least what reality seemed to be. Most people wouldn't see Kiro's existence as a reality, most not able to see him unless he wanted them to. And even when he did allow normal people to see him, they saw only a wolf.

"Who are they anyway?" Kiro asked, they smelled similar to the boy, but they seemed so different, he was curious if they were actually related or not. He didn't like their smell as much, especially the male - something about them just made him want to growl and bite them. But, he wouldn't - he bet they would taste horrible.

Matt hated this, he hated being touched like this, he hated Kiro, and most of all he hated himself for letting his enjoy derive pleasure from such a simple yet twisted act. His breathing getting faster and faster as the heart thumped louder inside his chest, he was looking forward to what Kiro could show him regardless of whether he admitted or not, and his body couldn’t handle much more of Kiro’s teasing. Even Kiro’s whispers caused him to shudder, the wolf demons breath brushing over his skin with each lip movement. He was starting to wonder if giving himself to Kiro was such a bad idea. It wasn’t like he had anyone else interested in him, and he doubted he’d ever be able to find a willing partner. He hated being called cutie, but it did make his heart flutter and his cheeks go red.

When Kiro pulled his hand away Matt let out another desperate whimper his hand reaching up to stop Kiro from pulling away, but managing to stop himself before he actually did such an embarrassing act. His hand floating around in mid air with no proper objective. The entrancing spell he was under shattering as he realized what he’d been doing, Matt wasted no time rolling over and off the bed, banging his knee against the wooden flooring before shakily getting up, his ankle from last night still not feeling completely fixed.

“Parents” he mumbled, not really knowing why he was answering Kiro with honesty. “They’re both experienced exorcists, so I suggest you stay away from them at all costs” he lied, hoping it’d be enough to keep Kiro away from his parents, Matt didn’t really like his parents at all, but he didn’t want them to fall victim to a demon, especially not because of him. What he didn’t realize though was that he was unknowingly making it sound as if he didn’t want Kiro to leave him by giving him advice on how to stay with him.

Kiro winced himself when heard the sound of body hitting against wooden flooring. Kiro jumped up off the bed and stood beside the other, looking at him a little concerned but slight annoyance also in his eyes, "I said be careful." Kiro mumbled about the ankle, "My bandaging won't mean shit if you just break the damn thing." His gaze went from the boys face to the ankle a he shakily got up, offering a hand to help him, though he was fairly certain that it would be slapped away.

"Exorcists, huh?" He asked, a amused smirk over his lips. "Well, thanks for the advice." He teased. He watched the kid closely, he was something else. He could tell that him and his parents weren't close, not only by the boy's body language but, how could related people that were so...different possibly ever get along.

When the smell of breakfasts started hitting him his eyes glazed a little for a moment, it smelled so good. His stomach growled lightly as he gave his attention back to the boy, "What's for breakfast anyway?" He asked, licking his lips. "And I stand by what I said last night, a demon can't take the soul of his host - so you don't have to worry about anything." He paused, "How about bacon?" He asked, as he mentioned it his tail started to actually wag a little, his ears perked high as he got a playfully excited look on his face - his eyes brightening.

The pain that shot through his leg only served to put Matt in a bad mood, it wasn’t really Kiro’s fault, but if Kiro hadn’t been so…. Clingy, Matt wouldn’t have had to roll away, so in a roundabout way he managed to convince himself that it was all Kiro’s fault. “It’s my body, I’ll do what I want” he snapped, not even bothering to acknowledge the helping hand.If Kiro was right about now being able to take his soul, then that meant Matt had nothing to fear from the wolf demon, and nothing to fear, meant he could outright ignore Kiro until he went away….. the thought sort of stung, but the sooner the better. Having someone leave him after getting close would be unbearable, and Matt couldn’t quite have a demon touching him in such… inappropriate ways.

It was clear Kiro didn’t take his warning too seriously, and Matt sort of felt stupid himself for even thinking that would work for a second, his parents couldn’t even see Kiro, nevermind excorcise him. If they’d had any sort of power at all Matt might have been able to live a better childhood.

Immediately taking a step back as Kiro’s stomach growled, Matt looked around nervously for an exit, not entirely believing that Kiro wouldn’t resort to eating him. His casual request for breakfast immediately clouded Matt’s eyes. The teen seemingly going from his snappy self to something more darker and negative. “What makes you think you deserve to be fed?” he mumbled, his words more depressed than angry now, his head lowered so that Kiro wouldn’t be able to see his face.

Not wanting to stick around and explain himself, Matt quickly grabbed his bag, and sprinted out of the room, ignoring the increasing pain clawing at his ankle. He briefly caught a glimpse of his parents at the dining table, his mother had been chatting happily about something but immediately went quiet when Matt came out, and his father too quickly hid behind the newspaper. The wooden table they sat at only had two mugs, two plates, and two occupied seats. Matt had stopped eating with his parents ages ago, his mother had gotten extremely upset on one occasion and told him she didn’t want him around her at all until he stopped making up ‘stories.’ And Matt hadn’t spoken more than a few words to her since.

Without uttering a single word, Matt made a move to leave the room, and then the house.

Kiro sighed when his warning about his ankle fell onto deaf ears. He was just going to end up getting hurt more. Kiro's eyes twitched at the boys mumble and he was a little taken aback by the words. It wasn't really the words, but it was more the way he had said it. Why was he sad? It confused Kiro. He didn't understand human emotions or how they could change so drastically. Really they were extremely confusing and made his eye twitch a little.

He was so taken aback that at first he didn't notice the boy leaving the room, shaking his head he fallowed the boy, "Hey!" He called as he rushed after him, easily going past the adults without being seen. He caught up with the boy and said, "Hey! Really, you are infuriating. I'm not going anywhere, until --" He stopped short as his gaze darted to a tree, a low growl coming from his throat - his ears flat against his head. Shaking a little he continued after the boy, "Plus, it's not safe for me to leave you."

Kiro transformed quickly and pretty seamlessly. It was a perk of being the type of demon he was - he was able to show himself to other humans, however it wasn't as his normal form that would usually cause people to freak out. Instead, he was in a form of a actual white wolf. He was probably more intimidating as a wolf - he was large and his ears perked up, tail swishing behind him as he padded to be walking beside the human.

He was alert as he walked, continuously looking behind him - they were being followed. On a human aspect, the person that was now behind them was a brown, curly haired female that seemed to be keeping her distance but was focusing on them rather intently.

"Do you know her?" Kiro's voice came almost out of thin air, but it was him talking to him telepathically - a trait with bonded creatures. No one else could hear him speak and his mouth didn't move at all. His hackles were raised a little - he didn't like being followed and he sensed her demon but couldn't see it, so it made him a little more nervous.

Matt wasn’t at all surprised when Kiro caught up to him, quite obviously upset with him, he’d expected it… but that didn’t make the disappointment of having Kiro around any easier. What had happened earlier had been a misunderstanding, a mistaken result which Matt was going to blame his groggy mind for as there was no way he enjoyed what Kiro did to him. Furthermore Matt didn’t want to believe that he was shallow enough to have a crush on someone based purely on their good looks.

His eyes naturally were drawn to Kiro as he thought this, his eyes quickly snapping away as he noticed the wolf demon still looking at him. He hoped Kiro hadn’t noticed, but just to be safe Matt decided to throw a few hostile words his way to distract him. “Infuriating? And you think having you hovering around behind me is relaxing do you? I’ve managed to handle myself fine until today, I don’t need you.” He snapped back, picking up his pace to prevent the argument from escalating. He didn’t even notice Kiro transform until the voice suddenly rang in his head. The strange tingly sensation causing him to turn around angrily as he figured Kiro had set up some sort of new link between them without his permission.

“Kiro?” he asked staring at the wolf, staring for a few moments before looking around to make sure the wolf demon wasn’t playing some sort of trick on him. It wasn’t until a smartly dressed business man let out a horrified cry that Matt realized just what the demon had done. The brown haired boy kneeling down to eye level with the wolf excitedly. “Can other people see you?” he asked incredulously, too excited to bother acknowledging Kiro’s question at first. Smiling like an idiot as his mood swung again, he’d pretty much forgotten that the wolf before him was the same male as the one that had kissed him last night.

Matt loved dogs… well he loved all animals, but dogs in particular. Loyal, affectionate and powerful, they’d been one of the few existences in his life which hadn’t judged him for his ability to see demons, and on more than one occasion they’d assisted him escape. Technically Kiro was a wolf, not a dog, but having never had the chance to come across a wild wolf, it made little difference to the teen.“You’re beautiful” he murmured, trailing a finger up the side of Kiro’s head before scratching him skillfully behind the ears. Completely off guard despite kneeling in the middle of the footpath.

Kiro looked back at Matt as he stared at him, his tail twitched a little as he just stayed there, staring at the boy. He figured he didn't believe it was really him, thinking it was some kind of joke or something. Kiro watched the realization come across his features. Though the scream caused Kiro to glare at the businessman. Really - it was almost like some people didn't see a animal before. Then again, he realized how intimidating he probably looked to those who knew what a wolf was. His fur shone in the sunlight, similar to how his eyes gleamed. He was still on edge with the person behind them, being distracted by that while the boy knelt in front of him.

Most people avoided him when they could see him. A few times he came in contact with what they call Animal Control, but they were never successful in catching him. Of course they wouldn't be, he could easily shy away and just change forms to where they can't see him anymore. "Yes, other people can see me. But, no one else but you can hear me." Kiro explained.

The form was nothing new to Kiro, but by the boys reaction he figured that he had never witnessed a demon becoming a form that others can see. It would make sense, why would a demon that is trying to kill him show themselves? It didn't make any sense. However, since Kiro needed to protect Matt, sometimes just by being visible he could keep trouble deterred from those that have demons, or bad humans.

Kiro was taken aback by the other's compliment, stopping himself from stepping back. He wasn't expecting such a tender side from the male when he was coherent. "What are you..." He started, obviously not used to being touched himself, especially in this form. He resisted growling which his instincts told him, instead his body just tensed as he watched the other's hand as best as he could. When his fingers touched the back of his ear Kiro relaxed immediately, his tail starting to wag happily behind him as the sensation exploded in his body. His touch felt amazing, it tickled slightly but it more felt like....like....he didn't know how to explain it. It even got to a certain spot where his right hind leg started thumbing against the ground as his head tilted into the scratching.

"What a cute puppy you have," The female voice caused Kiro to jump, he had let his guard down - damnit! He made sure he was positioned in a way that he could easily jump between them and attack the brown-haired girl if necessary, he growled lowly in his throat. The action just caused the girl to giggle, "What's his name?" She asked then extended her own hand, "My name is Ellie. My friend is around here somewhere." She looked around and then a black cat appeared from a tree, walking over and then just sitting by her feet. Kiro locked gazes with the black cat, his head lowered, hackles raised, bared his teeth and growled. Again the girl giggled, the cat just ignored him.
