Gabby sat at the bar after a long day's work. Working the corporate life was not as easy as one thought. Yeah, the money was rolling in, but what was the point if you didn't really have time to spend it? It was her latest rain of thought these days. She really needed to let loose, but it was always work, work, work, work, and more work. Even at home, her phone rang off the hook. Normally she'd just go home and down a bottle of tequila, but the Buddha Bar opened up and it was close and interesting enough to catch her eye. The crimson haired female took a seat at the lavished bar and ordered up a dry martini. The well dressed bartender began working his magic as she fixed her pencil skirt so that she could sit on the stool and the high seat gave her stiletto covered feet a much needed break. Her white button up shirt was undone two or three buttons as it grew hotter in the day and they just stayed that way. Hinting at a prized bust, that got more attention that her green eyes. With ivory skin and deep red lips, she was certainly classified as a stunner. Already her phone vibrated with a text and it had her uttering a light grown as she pulled the contraption from her purse after taking a sip of her drink. A young CEO in the making. Feebly trying to follow in her father's footsteps. What she wouldn't give to have a little fun, but it was not really programmed into her.

Jack was a hard working man, with a body honed and chiseled by days of hard physical work and early morning workouts at the gym. His 6' 4" 200 lb frame supported a forty-six inch chest capped by strong square shoulders from which hung massive arms. between his 33 inch waist and the expanse of his chest was a rippling six pack, all of which was supported my massive thighs. His skin was bronzed from working outside as a high steel worker, a profession that paid extremely well. Despite his blue collar job with the overtime he worked he had a six figure income, and the promise of more. The 30 year old was college educated, but found he could earn more and feel better hefting iron atop a half finished skyscraper. Still he cleaned up well and never had trouble finding a lady friend be it for a night or a week. Till now though no one had been able to claim him, though some had tried.

It was Friday night and at the suggestion of a friend he had decided to go out for drinks at the Budha, and see what fortunes favored. He wore a pair of dress jeans and polo shirt that showed off his well honed body to good effect and combed his wavy black hair in fashionably casual way, his brown eyes shining. He looked relaxed and confident and he had every reason to be.

He walked in the bar and was immediately struck buy the ravishing redhead at the bar he looked her up and down from a distance. What a body, it just wouldn't quit. He pulled up a stool a few feet away, and quietly asked the barkeep what the lady was drinking. When he he told him he replied "two... one for the lady." As the barkeep brought her the drink, he smiled in her direction and tipped his non-existent hat.

Gabriella was lost in her own thoughts. Wondering to herself 'Gabriella O' Conner what are you going to do with yourself?'. the thought nearly made her laugh. At the very least a smile tugged at the corner of her lips. Thankfully she was looking at her phone, so it didn't seem weird. Her attention was caught as another drink was brought to her. She looked up at the bartender instantly explaining. "Oh, I didn't order another drink." The man leaned on an elbow and looked down the bar towards a certain male. "Aye, it's a gift from the lad over there. Looks like you got yourself a secret admirer." The moment was so cheesy that she actually did smile and laughed a little. "Really?" With a nod, the bartender wiped down a freshly cleaned glass and went on to another beckoning customer. It had been a hot minute since she had been approached in such a manner. Usually she didn't linger long enough to get played on. It was another dry martini. "Well played, and very classic." She uttered to herself, debating on whether to take the bait. Hell maybe it could be fun. He certainly was easy on the eyes. Very easy. Her dirty mind had already pictured him naked. Honestly, who wouldn't? Still she wasn't the easy type. 'She threw him half a smile, mouthed 'Thank You' and pat the stool at her side as an invite. The outcomes were fairly narrow, but there was little chance that she would end up in bed... tonight. Or so that was how she saw it.

Jack smiled broadly as she patted the stool next to her. Smile on her face only enhanced her already extraordinary looks. He picked up his drink, and as he approached, he not subtly looked her up and down from a closer vantage point. “ I can see why my friend recommended this place, but If was him I would have kept the secret to myself.” He held out his huge hand. As he took his place on the stool next to her. “My name is Jack, Jack Polanari, it is certainly a pleasure. I am amazed your here alone, I'm sure you have your pick when it comes to a date. Just the same, I am glad that you are. You certainly brightened my prospects. He sipped his drink and sat back on his stool, the close fitting polo shirt showing off his rippling abs. And powerful pecs.

He wanted to ask her a dozen questions, but instead gave her some space, restraining himself. “You don't want to lose this one” he thought to himself. He felt like he had a 7 pound bass on 2 pound test line, and he treated her that way, being careful not to push her too much, but (he hoped) reeling her in slowly. He sat back and waited for her to respond, this time concentrating his gaze on her beautiful eyes.

She could feel his eyes checking her out. Gabby didn't know whether to be creeped out or not, but she had to admit... she was disturbingly aroused. He was certainly a looker. That was for certain. No accent. That's perfectly fine. No slurred speech. Nice choice of word. Did she detect humor? On the inside she was laughing more than her humble little chuckle that she actually did. He was a grade A hot guy. She made a wager with herself that he had a higher education than a simple GED. A few tendrils of her loose fiery mane were tucked behind her ear as her emerald eyes looked at him with a playful look. "That is certainly one I've never heard before." Referring to the seemingly lax pick up line laid before her. However she was more intrigued and not deterred. Feeding her petite french manicured hand into his as they exchanged introductions. " It's nice to meet you Jack. The names Gabriella. Gabriella O'Connor." She picked up her drink by the stem and made a 'cheers' gesture before taking a sip and putting it back down. "Thank you for the drink. Aaaaand, I don't go on too many dates. You know..." her phone vibrated from another email notification. "...work and all. So... what's a guy like you doing here without a hot young woman attached to your hip?" She figured he was most likely scouting for one. Leave it to Gabby to think the worst of people. One bad relationship and it seemed to taint the whole sex in another view. Still, she remained cheerful with a lax smile. Making one of a trio of olives that garnished her drink, disappear past her ruby red lips as she waited for him to reply.

Jack laughed at having his question turned right back on him, this girl was not only beautiful, but quick witted. "Well to be honest, it is seldom I find someone worth my time, what with 4 hours a day at the gym, and 10 hours on the job, I've gotten choosy. There are lots of women in the world, but few that are gorgeous like you, smart enough to carry on a conversation, and secure enough to walk out on me if they aren't happy. It's that last one that is hard to find. "Your the boss aren't you? I'll bet you don't take any crap from anyone. I'm not here to drink my troubles away, and I'm not here to get laid, in case that's what you were thinking. Not that wouldn't be nice in certain circumstances. I'm here cause I'm bored to tears and looking for someone special, really special... Just wondering...." but then I've talked enough... whats your story?

Her certainly laid it all on the table. Obviously not one to beat around the bush, why should she? It actually cut out quite a bit of the ritualistic feeling of this whole 'meeting at a bar' cliche. "And you can tell that I am worth your time, by just a few words and my looks?" Her smile was impish. Like she was pulling his strings, but meant to do no harm. "Honestly, it's hard to find because it's hard to do." Another sip of her drink later. "Did you know that we subconsciously judge people we meet within the first seven seconds?" She was clearly intrigued. Probably the reason her witty half smile seldom left her lips. "So in the first seven seconds of seeing you... I've guessed that you have more than a GED, I'm pictured that..." She waved a finger up and down indicating his body, "...in a birthday suit, and is he the fuck and fly type or serious relationship material. And then I pictured you naked again." Blunt, yes. But it would either freak him out or turn him on. Either of with was fun for her. "As for my story... I work with my father with a financial firm. Between work, my work blowing my phone up, and more work... I figured I'd rest my feet and grab a drink here. She looked down at her black stilettos. Not necessarily professional for work, but they were second nature for her. Hell she could run in these bad boys if necessary. "So... when you me really special' , what do you mean? And why would you come looking in a bar, of all places?" She laughed with the last part.

"Well I haven't been to church in years, I've heard that's a good place to look, I'm not sophisticated enough for the symphony or the opera. The beach is full of blond bimbos. You have any other suggestions? Yeah ... I came here hoping that there was a lady here with more on her mind than my money or showing me off to her friends. Somehow, I'm guessing I found her. So, this wasn't so bad after all was it?" He smiled a satisfied grin, and asked if she had her phone with her. He took his out of his pocket and set it on the bar. "come on... give it up ,,, we'll leave them both here with the barkeep and we'll go next door and I'll buy you a nice dinner, and if your up for it some dancing. Well what do you say?"

He got down from the stool, held out his hand waiting for an answer " You have a better offer?"

His argument was well made and the compliment afterwards certainly fished out some brownie points. "I guess not." She had no problems admitting defeat. Always one to take criticism and roll with it. She finished off the last of her drink and pushed the glass aside a little when the topic of phones came up. She safely assumed he wanted to exchange numbers, but oh was she wrong. Her jaw dropped slightly in disbelief as he proposed something of a..." a flash date?" It was something she just came up with and suited it very well. She held her phone in her hand and trapped her lower lip between her teeth in contemplation. "This has to be the most random thing anyone has ever asked me to do." She threw out still weighing in the possible outcomes before she relinquished a sigh of defeat with a smile and a little laugh to boot. "What the hell. The bartender would be the last to see her face and while she felt utterly naked without her phone. She really was curious to see how this would play out. "As long as you're not some date rape serial killer..." She teased, taking a bit of cash out for her first drink and leaving the rest as a tip. "I'm really curious to see where this goes." She grabbed her clutch purse and took his hand to assist her off the stools and back onto her high heeled feet, which were feeling better now. "So... you do this before or do all your dates go this willingly and easily? Mind you I am still on the fence." She still smiled though.

Jack paid his bill and handed the the bar keep $50 to take good care of the phones. "Not sure just how soon we'll be back" he said. "to be honest, I've never tried such a thing before. Your quite right its absolutely random, but with you, it just seemed like the thing you were looking for but couldn't find. When you walk high steel for a living, there is no guarantee about tomorrow, you learn to live in the moment. So ... that's what I do, and at this moment, with you, it just seemed right." he offered her his arm and prepared to escort her next door to the Boar's Head Inn. "I love the place next door. The booths are quiet and secluded, the food is fantastic, ...and they have a dance floor. That's a major plus to me. Will I be able to convince you to dance? You can take off the heels if you like." He took her hand and placed it on his arm. " I promise, I'll make it worth your time. ...I know its hard but please trust me. Oh and no, I'm not a serial killer." he said with a hearty laugh

This was just so much to take in. It was hard to believe that she was actually doing this. It was certainly not in her nature to do something so random. She wrapped her arm around his, resting her hand upon his arm. She hadn't really had plans for dinner and she needed something in her stomach. "I haven't eaten there before, sounds nice. As far as the dance... maybe. My feet have rested enough, I think I can manage the heels. " The sound of her heels clicked upon the ground as they walked out of the bar and next door. "So... Jack, do you have any surprise? Kids? A crazy ex I should probably know about? I don't, to both."

Jack looked over at at the arm draped around his, and followed it back up to her face. This was a reality check for him. This beautiful witty creature was actually going on a no-notice date with him. Fishing was over, now he had to deliver the goods. He chuckled at her simply worded but oh so important question. "Only if you count Happy and Lucky" he said. He could see a question on her face so he answered it. "My Chocolate Lab and Maine Coon cat. They're the closest I've got to a significant other past or present, so that would be a No to both. he opened the door for her and placing his hand gently on her elbow, guided er in, and it true dance fashion, moved to the side and ended up with his arm neatly around her waist. Though they made a stunning couple, we was still marveling at her beauty and couldn't help feeling somewhat out classed. At that point he met eyes with Karen with the greeter Karen as she stood behind her little stand."Jack! nice to see you again...you have a guest this evening, how nice. Your usual table?" "Yes thank you! This is Gabrielle" Jack answered. Karen looked over at Gabrielle, offered her hand and said "Welcome to The Boars Head, your a lucky lady." and lead them to a dimly lit booth in a quiet corner of the restaurant. The dance floor, also dimly lit was a perhaps 20 ft away. There was a piano , a guitar on a stand and a stand-up bass sitting off to the far side on a bandstand.

The booth had a round table and an arcing bench surrounded the back third of it giving the booth a cozy semi-private feel. He motioned for Gabrielle to sit down and then sat down himself. "Would you care for something to drink?" Karen asked before leaving the table.

The red head with the green eyes listened as the strikingly handsome male answered her question. The answer leaving her confused for a moment. When he explained it further, she couldn't help but light up. Only because animals were a serious weakness for her. "Oh I love dogs and cats. And I mean real dogs, not little ankle biter. They're cute, but I prefer bigger dogs." Her lower lip was bit out of anxiety as the door was opened and she walked through to be greeted by a woman who was not only rather good looking but also knew her... latest acquaintance. This is where she nearly went to reach for her phone, only to remember that it was not with her. A smile was give towards their greeter as Gabby was dubbed a 'lucky lady'. So far, it did not seem too far from the truth. Their seating was rather secluded and it was cozy and relaxing. "Yes, a water for now." The last thing she needed was to get wasted with a stranger in her company and her phone no where within reach. "This is very nice. I should have come here sooner." Slender manicured fingers fiddled with the gold locket with a four leaf clover on in that sat nestled in the valley of her breasts which had their moment of glory with her top three buttons undone from earlier in the afternoon. She looked at the menu and feigned a gasp. "Oh did I forget to tell you that I'm a vegetarian?" She let it linger and her smile grew by and inch. "Just kidding. I'm more of a steak girl to be honest. I hope you're not a vegetarian, because that would make that joke extremely awkward."

Jack wiped a finger across his forehead, feigning relief. The girl had a sense of humor,. He liked her more with every passing minute. You had me going there for a bit!" He looked over to Karen , who was still waiting. I'll have a Shock Top please" he said. Karen took he leave and left them to chat. Jack layed his open hand on th etable hoping she would take the bait. (back to fishing for the moment. He locked eyes with her. " well you will definately like Happy, he is a big friendly dog. He is either your friend or you will wish you were dead, he's a great watch dog, and very well behaved. Lucky is an usual cat, first of all he weighs ove 30 pounds. He's friendly like a dog, and an amazing hunter. Do you have pets?" Her figiting drew his eyes away for a moment to the cleft between her gorgeous breasts but after a long lingering look, he willed his eyes back to hers. They were a pleasant sight, but in the end he was all guy.

She wanted to laugh about the thirty pound cat. "Wow that is one behemoth of a cat you have there. I have a cat. My right hand man Bailey. Pretty much thinks he's king of the throne since I'm not home too long. Often I mistake him for a dog as he with drag his toy around like it was freshly killed prey and never seems to leave my side other than that. My mom and dad have my dog. He's in his retirement years and the old german shepherd needs some constant loving and attention." She was looking down at the menu before she looked up at Jack and her eyes met up with his. Noticing his hands on the table. The sight causing a sly smile to tug at the corner of her lip. "Looking to hold hands or would you rather play footsie?" She called out, nudging his leg with hers. Stirring up a more of a sensually playful mode.

He looked at her out of the corner of his eye and gave her a mischievous smile. " Both!" he said. "and maybe more if your up for it. Be careful of those heels though," he said laughing. He looked down at his menu. "Have you picked out something? Our waiter will be along anytime now. Of course if would like to take your time, we have all night, I'm in no hurry." I definitely want you to meet luck if your a cat lover, he is an amazing animal. You will want to take him home. He is a real lady killer. I wish I had his skills." He left one hand on the table still inviting hers to join his. He slipped off a shoe and rubbed his foot along her calf. "So are you up for more or no?" He was anything but shy.

The menu was folded back up and placed aside as he spoke of his cat. There was no doubt she would love his cat. "Yeah, I'll take the steak and mashed potatoes." Laughing as he wished to have the skills of his cat. Gabby felt his foot caressing her calf and she was surprised at his boldness. Even more so when asked if she was up for more." She laid her hand on top of his as she responded with a bright white smile and a little laugh, "You really aren't one to beat around the bush are you? Mmm... well, let me meet Lucky first, and we'll see what he has to say." She was super shocked. She had just agreed to go where ever he lived. Another random act that was not in her normal agenda. He was really pulling her out of her cozy little corner tonight. As the waitress arrived she gave her order and ordered a glass of red wine. Her smooth leg joining in the subtle game of footsie beneath the table.

Jack ordered a new york strip and a vegitable skewer, and a refiil on his beer. He ordered their fresh mushroom soup. "If you like suop at all you should have some, their soups are fantastic." Having gotten a definite maybe on his proposal of "more" and a better response than he could have hoped for on the invitation to meet Lucky, he kept the table play to hand holding and "footsy". It was certainly fun as it was.

About five minutes later the small blues combo showed up and started playing over by the dance floor. "I'd love it if you would dance with me while we wait for our food?" Jack loved todance, and the thought of dancing with her was almost intoxicating. Just walking to the restaurant his imagination had run wild thinking of her perfectly swaying hips doing so on a dance floor.

"Maybe next time I'll try it out." Laying out the prospect of another date. Hi hand was far more firm than hers. She could tell he certainly had a grip, but the caress of his leg against her own suggested that he could be very gentle if need be. The music caught her attention and it sounded great. He asked for a dance and she had no intention of saying no. She loved to dance. Now Gabby wasn't presented many opportunities to go dancing, but this was fun on her list of things to do. "I though you'd never ask." Her lively irish roots had her up and holding onto his hand. Rather eager, for once. "Pencil skirts aren't really ideal for dancing, but I think I can manage." He was looking more and more appealing as time went by. Not looks wise. Jack aced that course with flying colors. But his love of animals and dancing, and personality overall.

He took her hand and it seemed that they floated to the dance floor. She was not only beautiful and sexy but graceful as well. The combo played a slow but passionate blues number. He took her in his huge arms and pulled her close. They danced as one . He steared her around the floor with a smoothness and balance honed every day on the high steel. " one hand gently cradled her arm the other rested low on her back supporting her and steering her. There bodies melted into one. " You are soooo hot!" he whispered to her.

Surprisingly so, he was an amazing dancer. He led every step of the way and she found herself more than happy to follow. With hands perfectly placed, she was having fun and she smiled and relinquished a little laugh as the romantic mood was injected with his personality as Jack complimented her. Honestly, she found herself not surprised or disgusted, but humored and flattered. "And you Jack, are looking more and more irresistible." Her guard was lowered more and more as she got to know him. To get off work, be picked up at a bar for a random date by a total stranger and find herself actually enjoying herself. She'd swear she was having a crazy dream. As the song ended she spotted the waitress heading to their table and she applauded the band before heading back to the table while, oddly enough, her fingers laced with that of Jacks as they walked. "That was fun."

"We can do it again with desert!" He suggested smiling. They were so much in tune on the dance floor it was amazing. He wondered just how it might be on an even closer level. He helped her to her seat and then scooted in closer beside her than before. The closeness on the dance floor had been wonderful, and he didn't want to let go of it. He was even reluctant to release her hand to eat, but knew he should and did, loosening his grip slightly but waiting for her t actually break the connection if she wanted to. Turning to look er in the eyes, he lifted her hand, now loosely held to his lips, and without losing eye contact, took it in both hands, caressed it gently and kissed it softly. He just held her gaze and her hand, as if suspended in time. Letting go with one hand, he extended it and ran the back of his fingers along the side of her face, ever so softly and paused just by her ear. He ached to cradle her head and kiss her passionately, but he waited seeing if she would come to him.

She slid into the booth with her hand still in his before he joined her at her side. Dinner, both, looked and smelled delicious. Reminding her of her hunger. Still, she was in no rush. This was more fun than she a had in a while. "I'll hold you to that dance." Looking him in the eyes for an agreement as she watched as a kiss was pressed to her hand. It almost made her heart stop. The touch of his fingers gliding upon her skin caused shivers to course across every inch of her skin. Mine you... in the best of ways. Before her had even realized it she slowly leaned in. Playing to the moment and fueled more by instinct than anything else, Miss O' Conner leaned forward and pressed a kiss to his lips. More than ready to push it further than that.

As she leaned in, Jacks hand completed its course cradling her head as his other arm encirled her shoulders in a full on embrace. It flowed as naturally as the dance had, as though all their lives they had been a couple. He parted his lips and sucked on hers, holding the kiss and recreating it several times without parting lips. When they finally broke the kiss, his head was spinning and all he could manage was an impassioned sigh. He just looked at her stunned to silence for almost a minute. Then he swallowed hard, grinned ear to ear and said "now that was a game changer... You are amazing. You shall have your dance and more if you like." He was almost too stunned to eat the excellent food getting cold in front of them. He reached for his fork and knife cut of a succulent piece and instead of eating it he picked it up in his finger and fed it to her.

Gabby was mindlessly enjoying herself. Finally she just let all else go. It was no simple kiss but one that kept her enthralled and mesmerized in the most amazing way. her hand ventured it's way to his thigh where it came to rest. She cracked an all knowing smile when their lips parted. Her body was engulfed in a wave of head for a minute or two. Laughing humbly as he called a game changer. "I'll say, and you weren't too bad yourself, Jack." She gave his thigh a gentle squeeze before it left to grab a fork. Her appetite for the delicious looking food wasn't as big as it was before the dance and the kiss. She took her fork and began mixing the internal contents of her baked potato when she noticed Jack from the corner of her eye and looked to see him offering a piece of his food to her. Without thought she broke into a smile and went with it. her lips wrapping around the meat and a bit of his fingers until they disappeared passed her lips as she sat back and savored it. "Juicy." She said after swallowing it. "See." She said as she stole a kiss from him. The taste of the juicy meat still lingering about in her mouth. Gabby just couldn't help herself.
