Melissa gathered the team of girls (and 1 boy) for the challenge. "The challenge is relatively simple this year. Rather than have you guys read all of it, I'll some it up for you. The task is to create a mechanism that can transfer items from the ground up onto an eight foot tall tower without electricity. Also, the mechanism must fit in an 2feet^3 box. You have eight minutes to bring four items from the top down and four items from the bottom up. All the equipment must start in the box at the begging of the eight minutes and be packed away in the box by the end of the eight minutes. You also must have a skit to accompany it that."

The team was simple.

Sari is your typical Indian-American, semi-sporty, good sense of humor
Leah is all American, flexible, gymnastic champion, smart too.
One of them, Sophia is Chinese, incredibly smart, the smartest of them all
Alexis is a tall ginger. Smart and quiet. Enough said.
Missy is your German blondie. The most athletic one. The winner of state gymnastics and soccer.

Then there comes the one boy; Erik.

Erik looked around at the beautiful girls he had been teamed up with. This had never happened before! They were supposed to be gender segregated, but their group needed one more, and Erik was the odd man out without a group. Not that he was complaining! The five girls around him were the hottest and smartest in their grade. Any guy would kill to be in his situation, so all he could do was smile. He listened to their leader, Melissa, give the orders... she was sexy too. Erik was too lucky! He adjusted his glasses and made sure his short brown hair was neat. He had to look good for this! A nerd like him with all these attractive ladies has to look his best. Then again, Erik considered himself a little bit better socially than his nerd friends, but had never had a girlfriend... or sex. But that wasn't the point today. As the challenge was read off, Erik nodded. "Alright girls, how should we begin?" he asked and looked at them. Erik wasn't the smartest of them, and he knew that, but he never was one to give up, and that went doubly for trying to impress these girls.

Melissa says "Hey, you guys know what the challenge says. I am only here for safety. You guys have to work on the challenge."

Sari pushes Erik aside and says "Alright guys, I say we should split into two groups, one for the skit and one for the objective."

Leah and Sophia go to one side, Missy, Alexis and Sari go to the other. By default Erik goes with Leah and Sophia.

Leah and Sophia welcome Erik into their sub group. Leah is wearing a black sports bra, a loose-ish red top along with yoga pants. Sophia always dressed a bit nicer and had a nice golden shirt, along with a pinkish skirt.

Sophia pokes Erik and says "Have any ideas for objective?"

Erik had a feeling Sophia would try and take control right away. That was fine. She was probably the best suited for this kind of work. He nodded when he was told to join with her and Leah, and he sat down next to them. He felt a poking at his arm and turned to see Sophia poking him and asking her question. Erik took off his grey light jacket and straightened his black shirt underneath. "Well, some kind of water system would be handy. Or perhaps we could use the weight of the items at the top to create a sort of elevator," Erik said. His ideas came out... vague. It wasn't his fault! The staring eyes of Sophia made him nervous. Ever since he had known her, Erik always tried to impress her, but Erik's specialty was in history, not engineering. "If we could maybe use a recycling water system, that would be the strongest option. What do you girls think?"

Leah scootches closer to Erik. "Please explain the recycle water system?"
Sophia adds the follow up question "How would we build it?"
The girls sit unconformable close to Erik. Nudging him, trying to get him to check them out.

Erik was almost being smashed between the two lovely ladies... and he didn't mind. It did make him blush a bit and stammer a little more as he looked from side to side at both of them. "Well, if you think of a water mill, the wheel turns with the rushing water. If we could somehow get the water to go continuously through the wheel, we could use a system of chains and ropes to get the items up and down. Of course, I don't know how we could get the water to keep doing that..." he said, hoping he wouldn't be punished for an idea that was stupid. He wanted these girls to love the idea. They were way out of his league and he knew it... but he was going to give it his all! "Do you think something like that could work?"

Erik nodded and took out a piece of paper. He started drawing out his idea, explaining each step to them as best as he could, and taking in the advice they gave as well. Finally, the rough plan was drawn out. "Alright. This might actually work. Now, what do I do with this?" he asked. "Do I take it to Melissa?" he asked. He knew they now had to build it, but he wasn't sure what the next step of this project was going to be. He was trying to stay confident and strong around the two girls, and it seemed to be working.
