In the open fields was a farm, nothing large or abundant, but simple and well kept. There were fields of grains blowing in the wind as far as the eye could see with a small grove of apple trees. On the other side of the small farm house there was stable that had a couple horses and cows, next to the barn was a small chicken coupe. The farm was small but it fulfilled the families need for trade and food, it was a bit run down from a rough year for farming. It had been a bit dry the past year stunting the crop growth. The house needed a new roof, when it did rain the water always trickled through the cracks but the family ignored these simple problems since they were still able to put food on the table.

Ariella was laying in the field her long red hair spread in the grass almost like a cape, her blue eyes looked up at the sky as the wind carried the clouds across the sky in thin wisps. The sun peeked out from behind a cloud catching the bit of gold around her pupils, her fair skin seemed so pure in the sunlight. She smiled as the wind blew through the grass letting it flow over her skin, she was short in stature barely standing over five feet in height with a slender figure. She was wearing a simple brown cotton dress, she had seen some of the pretty dresses the girls in the kingdoms wore, but such clothing did not suit her life style. Though she did dream of such things, but she doubted it would ever happen.

She was snapped back to reality when she heard her father calling her home to finish her chores. She got up out of the grass a few strands were stuck in her hair not that she would notice. She grabbed her basket to go collect the eggs from the coupe, she collected nine eggs today, she wiped the off using her dress and carried them inside setting them on the table. She sighed a bit dreaming of leaving this place where she always seemed to have more chores it was like they just kept magically reappearing. She went to the barn, picking up a brush lightly running it over the horses back, she gently petted the nose nuzzling her forehead against its head. She loved animals, she pulled an apple out of her pocket holding it out to the horse letting it eat out of her open palm, it's lips lightly touching her dirty hand, she giggled it tickled a bit. She then went back to brushing it, she sighed a bit drifting off into a day dream about what life would be like inside the city walls.

She stopped as she heard the sound of horses, lots of them were heading this way. She slowly moved away from the horse heading for the barn door, she peeked out the door to see what the noise was. An army was heading this way, she suspect that they would stop here for the evening since it was already starting to get dark. She ran back to the house "father horses are coming this way I think it's an army" she said softly. She entered and dusted herself off, she didn't want to look completely filthy when they arrived.

General Richard Parker was not a nice man. Considered cruel by many who knew him personally, and he likely would have been put to death long ago if he had not been a military genius. Several years ago he had won several battles that had enlarged the Kingdom's lines and since then the King had been more than willing to overlook Richard's extracurricular activities. At the moment he was at the head of a relatively small army. Only five hundred men strong, the small fist was on it's way to meet up with the main army on the border. His scouts had told him of a small, peaceful farmhouse not too far ahead and Richard had decided to make it the place where they would camp for the night.

Richard had already spread the orders among his men. Once they arrived at the farmhouse the bulk of the army would make a bubble around the building, giving it about fifty yards between the house and his men. The officers would set their tents up in that small circle, and Richard himself would spend the night in the comforts of the Farmer's bed. As the group neared the home his men expertly spread apart, circling the home. Richard continued up to the front of the house accompanied by three of his officers.

Dismounting Richard gave the reins of his horse to one of the officers, and continued up onto the porch alone. Standing at six feet, four inches, Richard was heavily muscled as any soldier would be. To say the least he was a very large man, and dressed to impress. His black leather military uniform was stretched tightly over his large muscles, cords of rank tied to his left upper arm. A generic, though well made sword sat on his hip, and black leather boots adorned his feet. Richard knocked on the door three times, waiting for an answer.

Almost immediately the door opened, an older man standing in the doorway. Richard couldn't help but notice the young, tiny redhead standing behind the farmer. A small smile came to Richard's lips. He would be taking much more than just the Farmer's bed this night. Before the man could question what was going on Richard spoke. “I am General Richard Parker.” He paused, it was likely the man had heard of Richard, even out in the middle of now where as he was. “I require your home for the night, and my men your land. You will be repaid for any damage done once the war has been settled. Now if you please, I will have you and your family step out onto the porch.” Richard wanted a better look at the redhead, and to get a better count of the amount of people inside the house. Taking a small step back, Richard waited for the man's reply.

Her father looked out the door he did recognize the name he had heard things, many things in fact, most of them were of the most unsavory nature. He nodded when told to bring his family out onto the porch, he gently took his wife by the hand pulling her outside and Ariella with the other hand. Ariella had took her younger brother by the hand gently pulling him out with her, she held him in front of her. She gently draped her arm around him holding him close. The family seemed to be a bit uneasy, especially with how they had been approached and ordered to stand out on the porch.

Ariella brushed a strand of her hair back behind her ear as she looked down at the ground, she looked over at he father as if seeking some kind of assurance that they would be alright. She had felt the General's eyes upon her in the house and even more so now that she stood in front of him, she wondered if he meant her family harm, they were peaceful farmers, they had nothing to offer the man even their basic bedding would do little for him. She had heard rumors of such armies passing through and having their way with the women and that idea terrified her. Her chest rose and fell as she breathed deeply trying to control herself, she was slender with a nice hourglass figure not that it could be seen beneath her dress. The thick fabric did very little to compliment her figure, she scooted closer to her mother and father pulling her brother with her. She slowly lifted her gaze for a brief moment her blue and hazel eyes met with the General's, she quickly looked back down, she did not want to upset him.

She feared for her families safety and well being as she realized what she had seen in his eyes, his eyes were not those of a good man, no she could feel such darkness coming from him. She breathed shakily as her body quivered slightly as she surrounded herself with her family, she clutched her fathers hand tightly till her knuckles turned white. She held her brother tightly so he was pressed back against her flat stomach causing the mounds of her breasts to show slightly as the fabric tightened slightly. She looked around and saw the look on some of the men's faces and well knew what the intentions were for her and her family, but she stayed silent praying that her theory was wrong.
