"Next!" Mirai's voice rang out, echoing around the crowded room full of Katsuri-Con attendees as she called for another person. She had a big grin on her face as she stood behind her booth, looking about as the next person in line came towards her. This was her third year at the con, but her first year staffing; thought, that didn't discourage her at all. This was her time of year, the one chance she really had to be herself. She had already seen dozens of great cosplays, including some she didn't even recognize.

She had also seen quite a few people from her school; not that anyone would recognize her. This year she had gone all out, dressed as a blue mage. With a wig, contacts, and all, she was hardly recognizable even from her close friends that were either working with her or just simply attendees. Between the costume and her unusually bubbly attitude, no one else would hardly be able to guess. And she liked it that way. Only the people who chose to get to her know her got to see this side.

She had been preparing for the past month for the convention; it was all she could really talk about with her friends. When she wasn't at school, she was either watching anime or playing video games; occasionally drawing as well.

"Thank you and have fun at the con!" She smiled again, handing the attendee their badge and goodie bag before her voice rang throughout the room once again.

As the massive Katsuri-con registration line slowly shuffled forward, Clover checked his pockets for his things and kept his arms close to himself, everything about his body language showing a tense, nervousness. Having been a long time fan of all things manga and anime related for years, but never openly so around his classmates or in any social circles, he was sweating behind the ninja mask to his anbu-black-ops cosplay he had hoped would be original but unfortunately was one of many there.

It was his first year attending any sort of convention, or even going anywhere that attracted this large of a crowd. It's not that he was afraid of people, just that he got nervous easily and when he did, he got clumsy. Another reason why he was sweating and nervous was because of some of the costumes the girls were wearing. Sure he'd seen plenty of scantily clad girls in outfits in anime, and even a couple on the internet where the girls were only wearing vines and such... but he'd never actually managed to talk to a girl in anything more than a whisper. His throat seemed to dry up and all he could manage was a whistle. Now he thought his nose might bleed.

"Next!" The sudden cry from in front snapped Clover's attention back to what he was doing. A girl in a blue dress was in front of him, smiling and looking as if she was waiting for him. The outfit was not nearly as revealing as some of the others, but it's effect was equally stunning. Ice flooded from his neck to his feet and it seemed as if time had stopped. Impatient, the girl behind clover pushed him on the shoulder and repeated what the girl at the counter had said, the word 'next' echoing in his ear as he tripped and hit his head on the floor, all sight instantly fading to black.
