The stories where all over the place, tales of a beautiful woman who had apparently come out of nowhere, who was capable of the most amazing things. It was said that she roamed the world, looking for the needy and the poor, helping those who needed her the most. The rumors of who she was, what she was, where she had come from, what she wanted, and what she did where as many as the stars in the sky, but two things where always the same, no matter what story you listened to. She was always beautiful, and she was always singing, and playing a musical instrument that the people where starting to call a Violin. No matter the stories, or if she really existed, her tales where spreading through the large kingdom. Every bard, every jester, every musician, thespian, and entertainer knew stories of the 'Goddess of Music', and they where quickly growing to be the most popular stories ever heard.

No one fully realized that such a woman really did exist. She was as true, and real as the grass and the trees. She was moving through a large town at that moment, her beautiful starlight hair hidden by a hood, her beautiful silver Violin hidden in a rough leather carrying case. It was no doubt she was utterly beautiful, with skin so smooth it looked like cream, and eyes that shone in the dimness of the tavern she had stepped into, the orbs so dark they looked like the night sky. She smiled as she looked around, and the world seamed to fall still as people took notice of her, and she paid for her room, offered to entertain, and settled onto the stage with the owners agreement for a room and a meal for the night after a night of entertainment.

Everyone gasped in astonishment as the shining silver Violin was pulled from it's case, and it was settled onto her chin, and as the Bow pulled across the strings, a sound like no man had ever heard filled the air. It was a sweet, smooth sound that seamed to make the very air warmer, the smells sweater, the mood brighter, the room less gloomy. She played her song, the sound seeping through the air like liquid heaven, and it wasn't long before everyone in listening vicinity was inside the Tavern, struggling to get just a glimpse of the Goddess who played like heaven itself. Hoe could the young woman know what troubles would soon come to be?

King Brandoin De La Courcel had long heard the tales of the beautiful musican, but even in the land of Angelion, where the myths of their people put gods on earth who had bred with the mortals to create a divinely begotten people, the existance of a goddess of music was hard to believe. Even among a people where their divine hertiage was stamped into their skin, with a beauty that could cut as fine as any blade, where their blood had left them with a heritage of the gods, but in the years since their beginnings, the Angelions had become mortal again, with only a trace of divine ichor in their viens, enough to mke them different, but not so different. And in that mortal twinning again, they had lost their faith in the divine.

And even King Brandoin, who among the Angelions had the purest bloodlines in the coutnry, couldnt believe, but he so desperately wanted to.

The inherited king who ruled his world like a warlord, Brandoin had a reputation for being fair and just, and just as quick to turn on a enemy as he was to share a story. Glancing at his riding mates, he signaled for the war band to stop, dressed like one of the nobles of court, not a king. Brandoin preferred subtlity, perferred being annoyonous when he was among his people, and as he lowered the ood as he stepped into the inn he smiled, his mood instantly lifting at the sound of the beautiful music, and refusing to be budged at the doorway even as his men shoved at his back, wanting out of the rain.

the woman smiled as she played her instrument. she was literally the daughter of the Goddess, not that anyone there would beleive that. she was so very beautiful in a way that even these people couldn't manage, though they had once been as gorgeous as her. her beautiful night sky eyes where closed as the music rang through the air, and then the magic began, all around them colors began to swirl and spin into images that wet with her music, like illusions made from swirls of colors, rabbits and deer bounded through the empty space over peoples heads, loud gasps filling the air as people reached up, running their hands through the swirling colors as if it was smoke, and soon people where gasping in amazement as tiny woodland fairies danced above their heads, and hawks swooped and danced in the air. it was a trick easily done by skilled illusionists, but few illusionists could play a musical instrument, and do the illusions. Goddess or not, this woman was remarkable.

she smiled as the music suddenly stopped and the illusions dissolved and she stood up and bowed, and the Tavern went a little nuts, all of them cheering and catcalling and begging for more, and she laughed a little, took a drink of some Ale, cleared her throat, and begged off for the night but promised she would be in the street market tomorrow playing for donations, settled her violin back into her case, and headed to her room, the people of the Tavern whining about the loss of the pretty music. and the Kings personal Bodyguard turned to look at Brandoin, lifting an eyebrow. "Sir... i think that was the girl from all the stories..." he admitted softly. "do you want me to find out what room she's in?" he asked, blinking at his Lord, using himself to keep the other men from shoving at their King, since they where protesting very loudly about being trapped in the rain. "come on Sir." he ordered calmly, tugging the other inside before the men got angry about being wet. with the Woman gone, the Tavern had emptied rather quickly, giving Brandoin a place to sit inside the Tavern.

Brandoin was in shock, really he wasn't truly aware he'd left his men outside, only that the music had gone way. Wincing a little as Shane pulled him further into the room he gave his men a sheepish look."Sorry,guys."He muttered as he sat down in a chair by the fire trying to warm his hands before he nodded at shane."Have her escorted...home."he said hesitating on the word palace. While he was beloved by his people, he liked being able to travel as a unknown among them, to see wht they really thought of everything. And if the inn keeper knew who was staying in his inn Brandoion would never be able to stay here again."I would like to present her to the king. His birthday is coming up, he will enjoy the music."He said as if the man wasn't the king, his men were well used to his eccentricies, and went along with them because he was good for them, and shane, well shane was his oldest friend, and Brandoin never questioned the man's loyalty.

Shane snorted a little and shook his head a little. "and if she refuses to go?" he asked curiously as he hailed a waitress, ordering everyone a round of Beer. "am i supposed to Kidnap her sir?" Shane asked, lifting an eyebrow. "if she is who they say she is... the gods won't like it." he warned. Shane was very superstitious, and he worried about what might happen if they had to resort to force to get the beautiful woman to the palace. but, he drained his booze, stood up, took a calming breath, and headed up to speak to the woman... who, shockingly, agreed to play for the king, but refused to join him to the Palace. Shane went back down, blinking at Brandoin. "she agreed to play for the King Sir... but she's refusing to come with us... says she doesn't think it would be proper or something..."

"bring her anyways shane."Brandoin said, because his faith in the gods had long grown dim, despite what his own people believed, and the face he saw every day in the mirror. Before sighing quietly."I will decide what is proper or not for the king, Shane, not a girl. Bring her to teh palace."Brandoin said as he stood, intent on getting the girl home with him, and not wanting to linger here at this inn,but to take her with him, and dress her in clothes befitting such a musical goddess.

Shane grimaced but nodded and went back upstairs. there was silence for a long moment and ten minutes later Shane came in through the front door, looking completely soaked, and he had a firm red hand print on his face. "...she slapped me." he complained, sulking at Brandoin. "and kicked me in the groin! she called me a RAPIST B..Bando!" he complained heatedly, clearly unhappy about this. "i have her tied to a post out there... she tried to get out through the window... damn near succeeded she's FAST!" he complained, swiping his wet hair out of his face. "and angry... i don't know what language she was speaking, but she... was... pissed!" he complained, rubbing his face where she had slapped him. "she won't run away without this though." he admitted showing them the leather case, with the beautiful silver Violin in it. "so i'm taking this back to the Palace and YOU can handle the she-Beast!" Shane complained, heading back outside, the other men snickering at Shane's complaining. but they looked a little less amused when they went to fetch the girl, who had been tied, out of the rain, in the stable, her ropes half undone because she'd been chewing on them. immediately she started yelling at them, fury sparking her eyes as she started yelling at them in a strangely beautiful language, that was nothing any of them would have ever heard before.

Brandoin did not look nearly as amused as he walked out into the stables himself the rain slicking his hair to his face."You girl, shut up. I have a desire to hear your music, not have you kill my men."he said in a tone of voice that said he was used to being obeyed before looking at his men."Go. I'll catch up in a few. Make sure Shane doesn't get his ass killed because he's carrying that violin."He ordered even as his body hardened at the sound of the beautiful language. Gathering his horse he pulled her over his shoulder, settling her against him before swinging into his saddle."Now,girl, behave."he ordered.

she snarled at him, her eyes flashing as she spat at him. literally, a wad of Saliva arced through the air. it missed, lucky her, but her feelings for him where pretty clear. "Stupid Man! don't think you will get away with this! i will not allow you to take my body! i will kill you!" she raged, struggling violently as he pulled her onto a horse, hissing and cursing as she tried to hit, or kick him before she froze as she realized how very.. tall, the horse was. she froze, her eyes wide as a low whimper fell from her lips. "please! Do not do this! i will be no good for you!" she pleaded, pushing at his chest, trying to get enough leverage to slip off the horse without falling off. her fear of heights was fairly evident. "The Gods will see you suffering for this!"

Brandoin shifted his hold to make sure that he wouldn't drop her, despite being a king, the man was a warrior first, and he was strong enough to keep ahold of her."I only want to treat you like you deserve, girl, I do not want your body."he said even though the evidence of his arousal pressed against her ass, he was a honorable man, and he would not touch her....but he wanted to hear the music just for him. "Hold still, I will be able to keep you from falling."he said sensing her fear, glad that the palace was such a short ride, glancing at the other guards."Tell shane to prepare one of the rooms in my suites for her."He ordered nodding for one to go ahead, keeping his horse to a walk, not wanting to frighten her more.

she shuddered and shook her head. "your are a liar! all men want my body." she hissed. "your very body tells me so!" she complained, trying to inch away from his hard length, a low whimper falling from her lips. "please... please let me go.. you can keep the violin, only please... let me go..." she pleaded. but she wasn't struggling against him anymore, afraid of being dropped as the other men raced ahead to tell Shane to ready the room. half the men staying with the King. she had fallen silent as they walked, her eyes closed to block out the world, trembling as she prepared to go to her own demise. she didn't want to lose her virginity to a kidnapper! she just wanted to play her music, and make people happy!

Brandoin sighed a little as he refused to protest. while he wanted her, he wouldn't do that, not until she asked him to. He had his honor, and he refused to take any woman that did not want him, looking at shane when they got to the gates he lowered the girl to his guard before getting down himself."Is the room ready?"He asked as he took her back, before walking with shane towards the room, before looking at the girl in his arms."Girl.What is your name?"He asked looking thoughtful.

she struggled against Shane, kicking her feet and pushing at his chest, and did the same to Bradoin when he took her back, but gave it up as futile rather quickly. Shane smirked a little and nodded. "yes sir, the Room is ready... are you sure your going to be able to handle her? she's a right stallion she is!" she offered him her most ferocious glare and he smirked. "there, you see!" he teased, leading the way to one of the 'guest' rooms, which was rather pretty, even the girl had to admit. "i have no name to your tongue." she growled. "my name cannot be translated into your words." Shane smirked. "oh look! you even get to name her sir!" she paused, considering that before nodding. "i would permit you to give me a name." she agreed, chewing on the ropes that bound her wrists again, Shane snorting. "if she's the daughter of a goddess, then i'm a Blue Whale. she's more of a wild animal."

Brandoin laughed a little lookin amused at shane's constant sir's,"I keep telling you to call me bran when we're alone."He pointed out before smirking a little."Ahhh but the wild ones are the funnest to break."He said smirking as he set her on the bed before stepping back,"I shall call her Phedre."Brandoin said thoughtfully before smilin as he undid the ropes that bound her."Now phedre, you are in my rooms. Should you need me, I will be through those doors, but the other's lead to shane's.You will not be leaving since you will either be in my own rooms or shane's. Now.Get some sleep."he said moving towards the door.

Shane smirked. "but we're not alone Sir... The Wild Stallion is here." he admitted, smirking at the woman who glared furiously at him. "oh don't look at me like that! i'll give you back your Violin if you be nice." Shane promised her, smirking a little as she paused to consider that before continuing to glare at him. "that Violin belonged to my mother!" Shane paused, feeling a tad bit guilty about taking it away now. Phedre, the name suited her, studied the two men, rubbing her wrists as she glared at them before turning her back on them, clearly giving them the snub as she examined the windowless room she would from then on, be locked in. Shane yawned as he headed to his won rooms, shaking his head a little. he had a very bad feeling about all of this, but what the King wanted, the King got, and Shane doubted even the Gods could stop him now. Phedre had crawled into bed as soon as the men where gone, and uttered a short prayer to her aunt, pleading for safety from men, and a release from her prison before going to sleep, or rather, crying herself to sleep. she really did fear what these men might do to her.

In the morning Brandoin was sulking though, having spent the night before making love to his mistress, he was dismayed to find himself still with a raging hard on for the musican. And yet, he didn't want to touch her. Not if it was true, and he would upset the gods by touching her. growling angrily at himself for the lust that had found no release he looked at shane as he sat down at the breakfast table, grateful for the private breakfast alone with his friend who just happened to be his guard."You look to well rested."He grumbled starting to eat.

Shane snorted as he sat down, looking as tired as his lord. "from the sounds of the Wild Stallion sobbing, and you fucking the hell out of Gwen, i didn't get any sleep at all." Shane complained, sucking down his half of the Bitters. something similar to coffee, before he started poking at his food. "i don't like this Bran... she's... there's something not right about her... we should let her go.. before someone, either the gods, or her, or someone who knows her, tries to kill us." he complained, blinking at his best freind. he'd known Bran since the boy was a brat in diapers... granted, he'd also been a brat in diapers, but that was besides the point.

"You should be used to me fucking gwen."he rumbled sipping his own bitters before sighing."No. She's sfe here.Out there, someone will really rape here. If she's here as my guest, they wont bother her.No one is hurt like that here, without punishment."the king said rolling his eyes at the other's complaining.

Shane snorted a little. "yes, but does Phedra know that?" he asked, lifting an eyebrow as he turned as the door hesitantly opened, revealing a sleepy looking Phedra, who clearly wasn't certain about coming out of her room, even for the smell of food. finally though she came out, Shane lifting an eyebrow at how skittish she looked, and he glanced at his empty cup of Bitters. "do you drink Bitters girl?" Phedra hesitated and shook her head, and Shane grinned a little. "good, more for me then. come sit down, eat something, your too thin." she hesitated and then sat down, staring at the food that was settled in front of her before she decided it was safe to eat and slowly tucked in. "here's your Violin back." Shane stated, settling the instrument into her arms, the girl hugging it close to herself, as if afraid they might try to take it away again... it seamed she had opted for silence. Brandoin wasn't going to be getting any music that day, that was for sure.

Brandion sighed quietly."I will try and tell her again."he said before smiling at the girl, trying to look at ease and happy even if it made him grind his teeth to see any woman so skittish of him, not that he could blame her. "Shane, you should shre. Your king wants some."Bran pouted slightly as he poured himself another glss before smiling a little, looking at phedrea and the violin, sighing quietly."Well.It seems I will not be hearing music today after all."He said pouting slightly as he looked at shane.

she stared at him a little a Shane smirked. "you had your share of the Bitters already you greedy bastard." he complained, shaking his head a little as Phedra glared at him a little. "... she was just kidnapped, would YOU want to play for someone who kidnapped you? you'll have to forgive him Stallion, he doesn't know how to interact with us common folk. we be but per Bairn, who taint knowin nothin." Shane adopted his heavy Irish accent and Phedra giggled at the joke that Brandoin probobly didn't get. she glanced between the two men, her head tilted a little. "your really not going to hurt me, are you..." she asked, blinking, looking stunned as Shane snorted. "Brandoin can't even hurt a Wild Hog." she giggled again.

"But not nearly enough. I'm tired!Gwen kept me up."Brandoin sulked before glring at the two making fun of him."I interact perfectly fine, with normal and rational people. You are nethier. And don't do THAT!You know I hate that."Brandoin sulked glaring like a child at the two before frowning."I could to!I go hunting."He said not sayin the obvious that he had gone hunting but got queasy when he'd indeed killed a old and dying hog, much less something still mostly alive.

Phedra, now certain she wasn't about to be raped, had relaxed a great deal, and giggled at Brandoin's complaints as Shane snickered. "Bran... normal people do not kidnap beautiful women, and not have the intention of raping, forcing them to marry, or selling them into slavery." Phedra nodded. "i have been kidnapped twenty two times, counting this one... and you are the only one who did not have the stealing of my virginity in mind." Shane choked, violently at the information that she was a virgin. "shit! no wonder you slapped me!... that HURT by the way!" "... you grabbed me... i got scared..." "...and the kick to my balls?" "...punishment for touching me." Shane grimaced. "...of course... anyway Bran, it's your own damn fault you where up all night, i had to LISTEN, against my will! i deserve the bitterns more than you do." he stated wit a roll of his eyes before smirking. "aaaw, 't wee Bairn, e's just a sensitive sot. canno' even kill the Wee piggy." Phedra giggled again and shook her head a little. "Hogs are dangerous, they would rather kill you then anything else you know." she pointed out.

Brandoin's eyes widened slightly at the mention of her viriginty and the number of times she'd been kidnapped before laughing as shane laughed."You deserve to be hit shane. It might knock some sense into you."He said before smirking, "Ohhh no. It's Gwen's. It's not my fault you refuse to take the countess up on her off to jump your bones."He said before frowning a little at the continued making fun before giving phedrea a look."I killed it, don't listen to shane."He said sulking

Shane snorted a little and rolled his eyes. "i don't want sex with a woman who's more likely to rip my dick off than suck it." he stated simply, draining the last of the bitters as Phedra went a deep shade of red, instantly embarrassed by the conversation, Shane smirking. "yeah, you killed the old Boar, but you couldn't kill the Buck, or the Ducks, or the rabbit, or the squirrels, or the turkeys." Shane commented, ticking the list off on his fingers, Phedra giggling a little as she shook her head. "he doesn't have to kill, to be a good leader. although... i would have come with you, if you'd simply explained properly why you wanted me to go with you." she complained with a roll of her eyes. "honestly. can you blame me for being afraid of you?"
