South Toluca Mental Institution is a state run psychopathic rehabilitation center located in a the densely forested region of the North Eastern united states. The only close city is South Ashfield located a half a days drive away from the campus. The other city just north of Toluca is a town called Silent Hill. Toluca is home to over 200 inmates recovering from simple mental breakdowns to the severely impaired.
Tucked away in a small cell in block B at the end of a long hallway on the institute is a short young woman named Ashley. Ashley just twenty two years old sits up on her bed in her somewhat darkened cell staring straight ahead of her. In her lap is a stuffed animal she has been holding onto ever since that day when she was seven. At just seven years old Ashley murdered her own mother by pushing her off a cliff side whilst at a park. Ever since that day Ashley spends her days sitting in a catatonic state staring at the wall sometimes having to be force fed food.
Ashley only gets one visitor these days her twin sister whom comes to visit her nearly everyday. Dr. Allen Grayson lets her into her sister's cell in hopes that Ashley will one day open up and start speaking again to her own sister. So far this method hasn't worked.

Melissa walked towards her sister's room her wavy black hair pulled back into a tight ponytail. Soft blue eyes scanned the ward her sister was it made her heart ache thinking about her only sister being locked away in this place but it was the only choice. She was following Dr. Grayson wishing that she could reach her sister maybe even get her to talk about what happened. There was little hope of that happening of course her sister seemed to be locked in her own world.

When she reached her room she walked inside not fighting back tears for once. Part of her had come to accept that her sister was lost to her but it still hurt.

"Ash?" She asked softly approaching her sister "It's me Mel...its good to see you sis...do you think you could talk to me today."

She pulled a chair up beside the bed and smiled lightly at her sister gently reaching out to wipe some hair out of her face. All she wanted was a response but she knew she wouldn't get one. She sat in silence with her sister until she had to go and stood to leave with a soft sigh.

"I'll see you tomorrow Ash" She said softly as she was let out of the room.

Ashley stares straight ahead during the whole visit, mouth closed the only motion coming from her body softly rising from each breath that she took, and the occasional blink. Her hands clenching onto her stuffed animal rabbit she's had since she was a child. It would appear as if she wasn't going to respond today, therefore it is another failed visit. Despite doctor's saying how much it might help to keep company with her it's failing to break through.

The cell door opens letting Melissa leave the room. It's a little after five and visiting hours are over. It's a quiet night in the institution sometimes screams can be heard echoing from patients in other cells. But the silence can be almost as creepy. Footsteps seem to echo even more loudly through the hollow hallways.

Melissa sighed as she walked down the hallway rubbing the back of her neck. She was starting to lose hope that her sister would ever recover. There hadn't been any change in so long that she figured her sister would be trapped in her head until the end of her days.

"I miss her so much" She said softly.

She hated this time in the institution it was so jarring. The screams broke the silence but when it came again she felt so afraid as if someone could just come after her. That thought made her shake her head knowing that was ridiculous but then again she was just worried. Something felt off but maybe she was just feeling depressed.

As she made her way to the institution's exit it wasn't long before the silent hallway started echoing with the sound of an alarm. The sound was loud and calamitous and seemed to come out of nowhere. The sound of an alarm that would seem to go off if something truly bad was happening, like a fire or a prison break out. It wasn't long before the sound of panicking institution workers were heard coming from the other direction that Melissa was going. Three men two of them seemed to be armored in riot gear and another one just in normal hospital scrubs came running down the hall and past Melissa. "Come on there's been a massive break out of patients all of the cell doors have been opened!" She could hear them say.

The one man in the scrubs came to a stop when he saw Melissa. Looking at her as if she recognized her. "Ms. please just stay here someone will be along to help you soon!" He said as he ran off after the guards.

If all of the cell doors have been opened something bad might happen to Ashley.

She stopped looking up at the man who'd spoken to her not sure what to say. There had been an break out and the cell doors were open. Her mind turned to her sister alone and unresponsive in her cell.

"Ashley" She murmured softly glancing around "I can't leave her alone..."

She didn't care if someone would come help her she turned and ran for her sister's room not caring that she was in heels. There was nothing that would keep her from protecting the only family she had left.
