Biology wasn't her favorite class but today's lesson was proving to be more boring for Chelsea. She sighed in her seat, doodling with her blue pen on her huge notebook. She thought of all the other things she could be doing instead of just sitting here, all the other books she could be reading back in her dorm.
The professor must have seen her not paying attention because next thing she knew, he was asking her to summarize a particular chapter from the book. She gulped, looking at her professor with wide eyes. She didn't want to embarrass herself. "Miss Craig?" the professor asked again, tapping the pen against his table. She looked around and everybody was looking at her. Slowly, she relaxed in her seat and started speaking. She did know a thing or two about that chapter. After all, she was the kind of girl this university would categorize as a nerd.
Thankfully, the class ended already and she was out of the room as fast as she could. She had a tutorial in about an hour. Every day that the team had no practice, she would tutor their star player. It was such a tedious task before because he won't take it seriously and often skipped a few sessions with her but now, he seemed to have softened up a bit and they saw each other on a regular basis. He's even managed to stop texting during their tutorials. That was an achievement for her.
However, one thing that hasn't changed was that he paid so much attention to all these girls throwing themselves at him. Chelsea felt so uncomfortable and sometimes even inadequate around them. And if she isn't the luckiest girl in the world today, that's exactly the sight she saw when she walked to the parking lot where she knew he'd be waiting.
